Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Les chambres sont très spacieuses et rénovées avec un très grand souci du détail et avec des matériaux de grand qualité. C’est de loin l’hôtel le plus confortable de la ville. Une mention spéciale au bar qui sert des cocktails parfaitement maîtrisés (extrêmement rare dans les petites villes même touristiques). Le restaurant est aussi de très haut niveau
Juste dommage qu’il ne soit pas possible d’être dépanné quand on arrive à 21h le soir sans avoir diné. Nous avons fini à l’excellent bar de l’hôtel à manger des cacahuètes

Reviewed Dec 20, 2025Sehr schöne Lage mitten in Mondsee, hoteleigene Parkgarage um die Ecke, zuvorkommende Leitung, tolles Menü. Frühstückstisch war gedeckt, perfekte Rühreier vom Chef serviert.
Ein Künstler hat das ganze Hotel ausgestattet. Aber ein paar Siebdrucke von schönen Frauen auf teuren Materialien, gemischt mit Poesiezitaten führen halt nur zu Kitsch. Alkoholfreie Essensbegleiter wären noch wünschenswert.

Reviewed Oct 26, 2025Bár későn érkeztünk és a recepción nem volt senki, a konyhából érkezett segítség, kedves, udvarias. Nyilván szezonon kívül nincs itt sem teljesen foglalt ház, a fiatalember remekül teljesítette feladatát. A szoba tágas volt, a barátságos főtérre nézett. Külön van a wc és van bidé amit mi extra nagyon értékeltünk!
Nincs saját mélygarázsa, és bár nagyon közel van a parkolási lehetőség (pár méter, pár perc), este a sötétben nehéz megtalálni a garázs bejáratot.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Loved the location!! Room was beautifully decorated and the windows opened up - could hear the church bells ring!
Our room was hot and the AC didn’t work well. Thankfully it was a cooler time of year and we could open the windows. We weren’t aware the town is basically shut down Sunday-Tuesday. Perhaps we would have reworked our travel itinerary.

Estrema cura nei dettagli della camera e di tutto l'hotel, bagno spazioso completo (doccia al vapore e bidet, mai trovato in Austria) riposo assoluto, personale gentile. Parcheggio è stato facile in strada proprio davanti all'hotel. Posizione centrale nel paese di Mondsee. Buona colazione. Non abbiamo purtroppo provato il ristorante che è "stellato".

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025Super schickes Hotelzimmer, wahnsinnig gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstücksbuffet war nicht riesig, aber extrem lecker und es gab alles was wir brauchen. Das Bett war extrem bequem, wir haben selten so gut in einem Hotel geschlafen! Die Zimmer sind geräumig, modern und gut gepflegt. Schade dass wir schon wieder gehen mussten:(
Leider waren wir nur 1 Nacht da, hätten wir vorher gewusst wie das Hotel ist wären wir noch länger geblieben und hätten auch mal das Restaurant getestet! Eine Ladestation für E-Autos am Hotel wäre noch toll, ansonsten war die Erfahrung top!

Reviewed Sep 5, 2025Bereits der Check-in verlief einfach, freundlich und schnell. Die Innenarchitektur des ganzen Hauses ist sehr geschmackvoll und sehr hochwertig. Alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Ruhige angenehme Atmosphäre im ganzen Haus. Die Gastgeber sind ein eingespieltes und professionelles Team. Das Frühstück war ebenso besonders.

Incompatible “image” with all the rest elements of the hotel. Impractical for visitors.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2025Iris is a stylish boutique hotel with a seriously understaffed team. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. Ours (and perhaps all of them?) came with both a bathtub and a steam shower – a very nice touch that left us impressed when we first arrived.
But then came dinner. The restaurant, proudly displaying a Michelin recommendation, had us genuinely excited. That excitement quickly turned into disbelief. The waiter on duty – who we suspect was also the chef – was flat-out rude. He made it very clear that the terrace was fully booked and – regardless of the fact that we were guests at his hotel – they wouldn’t serve us inside either, even though the restaurant inside was completely empty. As hotel guests in a tiny town like Mondsee, we naïvely thought dinner would be part of the experience. Lesson learned. Breakfast the next morning was the real disaster. €25 per person for the most minimalist buffet we’ve ever seen: two kinds of cheese, two kinds of ham, a few oats, and some bread. No fruits, no selection of vegetables, no salmon, no sweet pastries – nothing. They did offer freshly scrambled eggs a la nature, but the portion was laughably small, more like an appetiser than a proper breakfast. With a Michelin-recommended restaurant on-site, we had high hopes. Sadly, Iris didn’t meet even the lowest of them. To be fair, once the rude waiter realised we were clearly disappointed, he only charged breakfast for two instead of four – so there was at least some attempt at damage control.

Als mir bei der Abreise der Mitarbeiter den Weg zur Hotelgarage zeigte (man muss das Hotel verlassen, die Straße queren usw) kam ihm nicht im Entferntesten in den Sinn, mir mit dem Gepäck zu helfen. Ich durfte hinter ihm herlaufen…
