Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Conveniently located hotel when traveling through Denmark! Our dog and we had a very warm welcome and we enjoyed how dog-friendly this hotel is - we even got a room on the ground floor. The breakfast had a full variety and offered various options for every diet.
Had some trouble with the coffee mugs without lid, but other than that - no real negative points.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Kõik oli suurepärane. Eriti avaldas muljet avarus (laiad koridorid, suured toad, avar duširuum). Väga meelis see, et duširuum oli kujundatud nii, et pärast pesemas käimist ei olnud ülejäänud duširuumi põrand märg. Suurepärane hinna ja kvaliteedi suhe!

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Für dänische Verhältnisse moderater Preis, unkomplizierter und ordentlicher Aufenthalt nach Motelart. Hilfsbereite Empfangskraft, die uns bei der online-Buchung einer Fährüberfahrt geholfen hat.
Frühstück war okay, mehr Lob geht nicht. Die Erwartungen an ein Motel sind aber generell nicht hoch.

Niestety trafiliśmy na alarm przeciwpożarowy w nocy.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Hotel Sabro Kro is dichtbij de stad Arhus gelegen, het is een uitstekend hotel voor een bezoek aan de stad of de omgeving te verkennen. Het hotel heeft een groot parkeerterrein. De kamers zijn comfortabel en het ontbijt en diner is helemaal prima!

Totaal geen verduisterende gordijnen, warme kamer (geen airco), lagen aan straatkant en raam openzetten was onmogelijk want je hoorde steeds de auto's passeren. Ontbijt stelde niet veel voor. Bij aankomst was het bed niet opgemaakt maar was wel snel opgelost. Zowel kamers als hotel gedateerd.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026onverwacht leuk hotel, heel gezellig met zitjes waar je gratis koffie kan tappen, tafeltennissen en biljarten en ook een sfeervolle bar. De royale kamers hebben allemaal zo'n nepbalkonnetje met openslaande deuren zodat je altijd kunt koelen, en daarnaast nog een kleiner raampje als je maar een klein beetje wilt ventileren. Beste bed dat ik ooit tegenkwam en een fabelachtig ontbijtbuffet.

During the night at 4 : 30 the alarm rang and it lasted a long time before they stopped it. In addition it rang another time, the noise was terrible. When we checked out they neither explained what happened nor apologized for the inconvenience. They even did not ask if we had a nice stay ( ostrich policy).

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026We chose this place as a rest for the night when driving from the top of Denmark down to Germany, for this it is perfect as it is about 2 hours ish from the port in Hirtshals. The place is very nice and feels on a high level. The breakfast was great, room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a shower and a separate bath. The stay was a bit more pricy then we would like, but we were not really the main target guests I imagine. Alltogether a great stay

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Das Hotel ist ein sehr weitläufiges Tagungshotel auf dem Land, ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen (Mobiliar und Gebäude), aber ursprünglich hochwertig bestückt, daher immer noch charmant. Durch das große Gebäude ist es nicht überlaufen und man findet immer ein ruhiges Plätzchen. Tischtennisplatte und Billardtisch im weitläufigen Flur des Hotels. Außenanlage sehr gepflegt. Frühstück super! Badezimmer sehr schön neu renoviert. Wir durften hier die Waschmaschine nutzen, was fantastisch war.
Die Zimmergröße zu dritt war recht klein. Sauberkeit war "in Ordnung". Betten sehr schmal. Der schönste Außenbereich war leider sehr laut durch die Lüftungsanlage.

We had to make some changes before our arrival and the hotel staff was very prompt in accommodating our request (on Sunday night!) - thank you for that. We had a dinner and breakfast at the property - great food on both occasions. Free parking at the property.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Vi hadde en overnatting i juli. Hotellet er meget velholdt og velstelt på alle vis. Vi hadde et vanlig rom som var stort og luftig. Det var veldig rent og med gode senger. Profesjonelt og hyggelig personal. God mat i kveldsrestaurant og god frokost. Morsom kunst og dekor rundt omkring. Stille og fine omgivelser bortsett fra bilveien som gikk forbi. Det var praktisk for oss at hotellet hadde ladestasjon for elbil. Anbefaler hotellet på det varmeste!
Biler kjører med høy hastighet på veien som går forbi (så pass på barna :), men det var ikke forstyrrende trafikkstøy om natten selv om vi hadde altandøren åpen.

Not all rooms have AC which makes it difficult to cool down during a summer night. Booked for 2 adults and a child <1 yr, so I got a family room (more expensive than standard room) with sofa bed, but no crib, because that apparently costs an additional 100 dkk. So, be careful when using booking.com with a baby.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Vi er veldig glade i Sabro kro. Har vært der mange ganger. Det var synd at isbitmaskinen hadde blitt fjernet, særlig siden det ikke er kjøleskap på rommene. Treningsrommet kunne trenge en oppgradering. Ellers fantastisk, like god frokost, og like vennlig personale som alltid.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026The bedroom was very good - no fridge (as expected) but a kettle, chargers by the bed and the bonus that there was a shortcut out to the car park, which was very handy. The bathroom has an excellent shower as well as a separate bath in a layout we've never seen before. The choice at breakfast was very good. The hotel also has various games: a pool table, table tennis and table football. A very likeable hotel. We chose this hotel because we were visiting the area and wanted to be in Aarhus, but we couldn't find anything as good in the city.
Nothing on this visit.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026This was our second visit in the same week - we were driving up to Skagen and back over several days. We found the bedroom was still very good with an excellent shower and breakfast was very good. We had the same shortcut to the car park, which was handy.
There seemed to be a party elsewhere in the hotel with very loud music until after 1am. This rather knocked the shine off the hotel and meant we had a much worse sleep than the previous visit.
