Outdoor pool, great area, loved the restaurant

It is an excellent option for a quick stay. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean.

Beach view is beautiful. Pool is small it has easy parking. Its ok for short stays i was there on business and only stayed 1 night.

Great place to visit

Beautiful scenery and food and drinks on site, loved the pool and the mountains. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend and go again.

Good value for a low budget stay and a beautiful beach view. AC unit simply couldnt keep up so it was a bit uncomfortable in the room and there was no air in the bathroom which I guess its the standard outside of San Juan. Would stay again though as it was fun.

This property has a nice comfortable room and the views are so beautiful and relaxing... nothing fancy but enough to get a little escape from the routine.

Excellent place

This hotel was a little slice of paradise. We had ocean front and sat outside our room and saw the most beautiful full moon rise. The weather was perfect and we totally disconnected from the world and were immersed in an “island vibe”. We decided to order food after the kitchen had just closed but they were gracious enough to allow us to order some “bocaditos” which we were able to enjoy with our mojitos while in the pool and overlooking the full moon over the ocean. Just heaven. No hair dryer or pool beach towels but nice breakfast was included. If you are looking for a rustic and enjoyable stay this hotel is recommended. We were able to hear the ocean while falling asleep, even with the ac on.

Very beautiful property. Staff was the best I have experienced.

I think a little better pest control will do it. Also door frames are in serious need of insulation to save energy and to prevent for insects to get in the rooms. The staff are admirable. They try so hard to maintain the building and premises but are working with what they've got. I give the staff 10 stars. Beds are very uncomfortable. Mattresses need replacement.

It’s a beautiful place to stay with a beach view room. Also the swimming pool had sea view n the Mountain View. The room was spacious. Restaurant staff was friendly. We had received complementary breakfast, which was delicious.

The hotel and the service were excellent. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel, awesome pool, friendly staff and the beach was so nice. The best part is the nature reserve that you can walk through and up to the lighthouse and even to the muelle. We thoroughly enjoyed the place we easily could have stayed longer. Just wish the caged birds had a better view. The parrots looked very bored.

A beautiful setting! Quick and easy checkin. Dining on site which makes it very nice when you arrive very tired. Very nice breakfast included.

The best place for me

This hotel is located right on the beautiful beach. It has a nice infinity pool. Rooms are located in bungalow stile constructions, they are very ample and with fridge and coffee maker. WiFi was down the day we stayed. There is plenty of free parking in the premises. Included breakfast was very simple (see image). Restaurant staff was friendly.

Due to large group eating in your restaurant was a challenge because we had a long wait to order and food was cold. View spectacular. Staff pleasant. Shower unacceptable.

Not enough towels in the room. Wash sink would back up.

Great little property with a cool pool. We stayed for one night. The area is GORGEOUS. The beach is lovely but water is unsafe for swimming.

to begin I was late checking in but it was kinda hard to reach someone on the phone after hours due to a limited staffing. After checking in it was smooth sailing. Rooms are spacious but still lack on regular amenities like Iron and board. Looks like its a up and coming hotel and they are working very hard to make it a Grade A place. the available staff were very welcoming and nice. Deff a once in a while spot right on the beach.

It was a peaceful setting

The property was designed as a family friendly resort. We only used it for a one night stop while traveling through the area. We had no complaints regarding the facility or the service.

Our AC, room # 220 , stop working around 12:30 am and couldn’t sleep and there wasn’t hot water. I had to cancelled the rest of our stay, and paid $150.00 for cancellation plus no refund for the few hours in the room. Not acceptable.

Absolutely beautiful his staff is wonderful the food is great the rooms are simple but elegant very clean five thumbs up all the way around I will go again.

Its location is privileged. Unfortunately, the king bed was awful. Really stiff. The pool room was not in working condition. Everything was clean and the shower was great.

Great

Really comfortable and clean hotel with beautiful views around the grounds. It's easy access to the beach. It's pretty quiet and peaceful. We wished we stayed more than one night! The decor is tasteful and basic, and the rooms have all that you need to be comfortable. The air conditioning worked great, the bed was firm but comfortable after a long flight, and there was plenty of space in the room to set our luggage and move around. The bathroom is a little small yet worked out just fine. There's a fridge and coffeemaker in the room, and there is a grocery store a short drive west of the hotel. Dinner is available and was really good. Breakfast was included in our reservation and was pretty filling. Check in and out was easy. Highly recommend learning some Spanish since some of the workers didn't speak any English.

Casi no tiene agua

Off the beaten path. Family friendly...caribbean shoreline, topaz blue water, breeding ground for the leather back turtles. The price with a free breakfast makes it the best kept secret in the territories of the US.

The rooms are very basic but right on the ocean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you need new towels or beds made during your stay you will have to ask. Gorgeous views.

Love the parador and the view is amazing. Everything was clean. The restaurant has a nice menu. Love the pool.

Love it here

It was perfect for a last minute, one night stay after being lost in that area. Best thing was we were starving and they had a restaurant! The food was delicious and we arrived during happy hour so the drink prices were great. The pool overlooking the ocean was beautiful and I loved sitting there listening to great music while having a drink. The beach was not good for swimming, but perfect for watching the sunrise the next morning while listening to the mesmerizing sound of the waves! Free breakfast in the morning was a big plus! Only negative was the TV only took two channels, but it didn’t matter since we were so exhausted !

Staff and management was amazing. I had a double booking due to other location closing. The manger kept me calm and listened to everything I said kept me calm followed up and was able to help me as an upset customer and be sympathetic to what I was going through. Thank You 10 🙂

We loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and is steps away from a great beach you can swim in as well as a beautiful pool and bar area. We enjoyed the area as it gets you away from the hustle and bustle of San Juan. It was a great low key place to stay if you want to relax and unwind! Maunabo the city has some of the friendliest people even for us non-Spanish speakers. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful and we loved the food and drinks right on site. There also is a store across the street as well as a few bars/restaurants in the walking area. We definitely will be back again!

The hotel had a reasonable price. The breakfast was good with good service. The infinity pool was really nice. The room was about 30 yards from the beach. I arrived on a holiday later in the evening and asked for a place to eat. Was directed to go several miles down the road by the staff. Got ready to go but seen a restaurant/bar across the road was open....would be great if staff was aware of this. Bring your own towel as pool towels are only sold ($12 ea) not provided. Be aware this is a bit remote and going anywhere is a bit of a drive. Roads are narrow, curving and full of pot holes.....I think its great as is away from the crowds, but some may not like this. Hot water is provided by solar water heaters so early morning showers are cool but evening and day showers are nice and hot. I would go back.

Very cute place. Just steps from the ocean. Perfect place to see the sunrise.

My 5 days 4 nights here was relaxing & very enjoyable. This is a great family friendly property- great for children. The staffs were very friendly & nice. The pool was great and over looks the beach & ocean. Beautiful view. I would definitely visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at Maunacaribe. At first it was difficult to find there is no visible sign of MaunaCarive inside lobby noticed sign also learned name is Tropical Inn

This is my second time in Mauna Caribe and all I have to say is that the beach area is in very poor condition. No maintenance is done to it. It is such a beautiful place and with a little maintenance it would be a much better place to stay.

Area is beautiful, but definitively needs some updates.

It started when I tried to call the property to see if we were able to check in early and we kept getting hung up on. Then we got there and we signed the wrong room order the king room and we’re assigned double beds. There was no hot water. The toilet would not flush. The air was stuck on 72 the whole time, and the parking was very limited. We had to walk all the way from the street to the hotel then four buildings down to our assigned room. The staff was unpleasant. We were not able to get clean towels. We had two towels for our three day stay was good however the portions were light , the drink prices are good, but I don’t think that we will return for a day next time

I recently stayed at this hotel, at first everything looked great, the view, a decent sized pool, the room we were in had two decent sized beds and a nice looking bathroom. Heres where the problem is, the toilet didn't flush, the water pressure from the shower was horrible and it had roaches. The staff barely did anything to help. Although the breakfast was decent I would not stay at this hotel again.

We have been trying to contact as we had to leave 4 days earlier. Ibhot aick with the food and my Husband coild barely walk due to a very bad mattress. The people were so rude. Youbvoikd not ask any questions or they woild be upset. We need a refubd from the days we ddi not stay.

Lots of families with young children in the pool. The beach was very nice. We went for a long walk in the morning and had the beach to ourselves.

To begin, my son and I really enjoyed our time at this hotel. It was a pleasant surprise for us at an affordable price. However, the establishment prides themselves on cleanliness, but we found 3 large roaches in our room. The staff immediately changed our room and the next one was roach free despite the dead one we found behind the refrigerator. Overall, our stay was fun and memorable. Service was good and facilities was great for families
