Tolle Aussicht und schöne, neu renovierte Zimmer. Sehr freundliches und sorgendes Personal. Habe mich sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Die Aussicht auf den See ist schön. Im Restaurant gibt es zwar nur eine kleine Karte aber das Essen schmeckt gut.

Im Gang und auch im Zimmer riecht es muffig. Die Zimmer wirken nicht sauber und auch die Dusche war sehr kalkig. Das Frühstück wird schnell eintönig. Von Brunate gelangt man zwar über die Bergbahn schnell nach Como allerdings muss vorher ein längerer Fußweg zurückgelegt werden. Das Hotel bietet zwar einen Shuttle an, allerdings natürlich nicht nachts. Alles in allem haben wir uns leider nicht besonders wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel sollte grundsätzlich mal wieder renovieren.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS! COMPLETELY MISLEADING & RUINED THE START OF OUR FIRST LAKE COMO WEEKEND: I have never written a bad review, but this experience was so disappointing that I feel I need to warn other travellers. I booked their largest “suite” with a “balcony,” plus the advertised “private dinner” & “private hot tub,” as a romantic surprise for my boyfriend. We arrived during a June heatwave & discovered the hotel has NO AIR CONDITIONING. Our tiny “suite” was around 33°C inside with ONE small tabletop fan. We opened the balcony door for air & immediately 3 wasps flew into our room. Reception had no extra fans & their solution was simply to spray chemicals around the balcony. The extras were also misleading. The “private dinner” was just a table in the normal restaurant with a divider on ONE SIDE, & the “private hot tub” was less than 1 metre from the busy pool & sun loungers. We cancelled both. After less than 2 hours, we left & booked another hotel with air conditioning. We had already paid almost €1,000 for two nights, yet the hotel refused ANY refund, even partial, & also refused to help with our €90 taxi to the replacement hotel. The situation was so bad that we willingly lost almost €1,000 just to sleep somewhere with air conditioning in a normal location... The hotel location is also misleading for a Lake Como trip: it is far up the mountain & nowhere near the lake. Taxis are expensive, the roads are very winding, & the funicular is not ideal with luggage in a heatwave. We were clearly not the only unhappy guests either — we saw people dripping with sweat & a line at reception complaining about their hot rooms. Thankfully, we saved our weekend by leaving & staying near the lake. I later complained to Booking.com who contacted the hotel requesting a refund, but the hotel still refused. Months later, we have received nothing back. A COMPLETE SCAM!

The views and pool were beautiful. We had a terrace facing the road and this was large and in the sun which was wonderful. Facing a lovely church and nice to people watch . I would recommend these rooms . As you can see the view from pool and restaraunt. Also 2 min walk to lighthouse for the sunset views. Perfect location.

NO AC! Not a good choice during heat wave...

L'accueil de Hajar et le service d'Edouard, ainsi que de l'ensemble de l'équipe. La vue époustouflante, le calme et la sérénité qui en découlent. Prestations simples et efficaces pour cet hôtel familial, qui en deviennent exceptionnelles à l'endroit où il se situe.

La climatisation manquante, en cette période d'août 2026, particulièrement chaude en Europe.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich nette, aufmerksame und zuvorkommende Personal – wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Lage ist wirklich etwas Besonderes und der Ausblick von unserem Zimmer war einfach atemberaubend! Man sollte sich allerdings bewusst sein, dass die Unterkunft tatsächlich ganz oben auf dem Berg liegt. Das war für uns aber überhaupt kein Problem, da die Verbindung hinunter nach Como sehr gut funktioniert. Innerhalb von etwa 25 Minuten ist man unkompliziert und ohne großen Stress direkt an der Promenade. Für uns war es eine tolle Kombination aus traumhafter Aussicht, ruhiger Lage und guter Erreichbarkeit von Como. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Wie gesagt liegt die Unterkunft auf der Spitze eines Berges, was die Autofahrt zu einem Abenteuer macht :D

Eigentlich nur die Aussicht

Wo soll ich anfangen? Die Anfahrt ist schon ein echtes Erlebnis. Die Straßen so eng, dass keine zwei Fahrzeuge aneinander vorbeikommen, teilweise steil und sehr verwinkelt. Aber dass würde mich ja gar nicht stören. Nur für diejenigen, die wie wir mit dem Auto anreisen wollen. Die gesamte Anlage ist schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und ist nicht in wirklich gutem Zustand. Das Zimmer, angeblich eine Junior Suite, sehr klein. Die Einrichtung wirkt wie aus einem Baumarkt zusammengestellt. Bad und Dusche winzig. Spiegel an den Rändern abgeplatzt. Der versprochene Balkon ist vorhanden, allerdings ebenfalls winzig und ohne jegliche Sitzgelegenheit. Das Frühstück sieht erst einmal recht vielseitig aus, doch lässt die Qualität sehr zu wünschen übrig: das meiste besteht aus trockenem und teilweise altem Toastbrot. Kurz und gut für den Preis eine echte Enttäuschung!

Long wait to be squashed in and a nightmare once at the top Yes the hotel offer a lift from the funicular if you can possibly get in touch with them The cost of using the funicular €7 euros per person should be considered as you have no option other than to use it The food offered is very limited and again nothing special There’s a cover charge every time u sit in the restaurant regardless of wat you eat at €6-8 this soon adds up In the room everything is charged extra - not even a complimentary bottle of water Be careful to check bill on check out we had costs added to ours probably because people just quote a room number when ordering so mistakes can be made The ‘spa’ area is tiny with 6 beds

Le lieu vieillot, l'accès, petite piscine sans ombrage, sans climatisation... La présentation est à mîlle lieues de la présentation et des commentaires. I

Très chouette petit-déjeuner, personnel à l’écoute, magnifique vue. Le restaurant est également très bien.

Le manque de climatisation et le bruit sur le parking durant la nuit. Il y a eu à plusieurs moments des jeunes qui faisaient la fête très tard et comme nous étions obligés de garder les fenêtres ouvertes avec la chaleur, nous n’avons pas très bien dormi.

De wc-bril kwam los, de douchedeur sloot niet volledig waardoor er water in de badkamer liep. Locatie was zeer moeilijk om te geraken, heel hoor en veel smalle wegen. Ik vond het verblijf veel te duur

The view and location is truly worth the drive up the hill, there's a viewpoint nearby where you can go enjoy the views in the evening + see fireflies when it gets dark.

I think this place has the potential to be much more than it currently is, but right now I don’t feel it offers good value for money. Even with the discount we received, the budget room was still around $200 per night. The biggest issue is that the property needs renovation and more attention to detail to make the experience feel cosy, welcoming, and in line with its pricing. In our room, several things felt worn down or poorly maintained: the shower, doors that did not close properly, a broken mirror, a damaged bed runner, noise coming in from the rooms next door, no AC so expect bug bites from open windows, a bright blue light from the thermostat at night, and slow internet. The view from the pool is genuinely great, and it is definitely possible to take beautiful photos there. However, the pool area itself was a big letdown. The pool appeared to be plastic, the sunbeds were old and stained, and the outdoor shower had almost no water pressure. In general, the whole hotel feels like it lacks a designer’s touch and the level of care you would expect at this price point. The layout and placement of things felt random rather than thoughtfully planned. Another issue is the planning of the outside area. The views are one of the main reasons to stay here, but after around 7pm there is a chance you won’t be able to sit on the sunbeds and relax if the entire pool area has been reserved for private use. You can still go to the restaurant area without ordering anything, but it is much less comfortable. There are also sofas on the other side of the building, but from there you lose the view completely. After 11pm, pool area and restaurant is closed, there's no place to enjoy the view from outside. The staff were okay, friendly at times, but lacking consistency. E.g., one staff member told us we could go outside and relax in the pool area, but about an hour later another staff member told us we could not be there because the area had been reserved.

I didn't like that the trip ended

The customer service was impeccable. I love that I could WhatsApp the reception team before our stay to ask for recommendations and any added extras we could book during our stay. We were able to use the pool before our check in time. Overall a beautiful hotel and would definitely stay again.

There were quite a few wasps around the pool edge.

het hotel voldeed totaal niet aan de verwachting en voorstelling op booking ,volledig overpriced. het infinity zwembad is een plastic ,onaangenaam zwembad . Geen uitstraling. de kwaliteit van het eten was zeer pover . het zal voor ons bij een eenmalig bezoek blijven .

Frühstück die erste Platte mit den Süssigkeiten sollte bei den Gästen auch angefragt werden, zuviel wird retourniert und die Gebäcke sind etwas vertrocknet Ansonsten nicht schlecht.

Views were unreal - be sure to ask for a room facing lake comp with or without a balcony.

Had to wait a little time for the room to be ready.

The staff at the reception were super friendly and wanted to ensure us a good visit! ❤️ The views from the restaurant/pool area are as amazing as in the pictures. We also enjoyed the breakfast served. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a couple nights stay. 😊

It was almost impossible to get any answers before our visit – the customer service via messages was nothing like it was on-site. At first, I did get an message back but it didn't contain an answer my question. And later on, closer to our booking date, I didn't get any answers at all anymore. 😕 That left me a little confused and didn't build any trust beforehand. It almost felt like someone else (that isn't aware of their policies) is taking care of their online communication. And I think this is something to improve especially with the unique location of the hotel. I was also curious about their pool policy in early May but ended up with only mixed-up information from the website.

Pour 220€ la chambre seule (hors taxe de séjour), le rapport qualité -prix n’y est pas. Très petite chambre avec minuscule salle de bain aux mauvaises finitions (les portes de douche ne sont pas jointives, lunettes wc non adaptées à la cuvette), plaid pied de lit tâché. Vue pour ce prix parking. Nous sommes de grands voyageurs et définitivement, le rapport qualité prix n’y est pas. Pdj bon mais il faudrait plus de pain standard plutôt que viennoiseries. Literie assez dure. Pas d’ascenseur pour monter les bagages. Robinetterie sdb à changer. A ce prix-là, tout doit être nickel et ce sont plusieurs détails qui ne vont pas.

The balcony view of the lake was simply stunning. The food at mama Gina was superb. One of the best all inclusive breakfasts I have had. All staff members place maximum effort into making your stay special. Very efficient transfer service too and from the top of the funicular when needed. Very satisfied with my 3 nights stay here. Gut. Personal war sehr nett. Zimmer sauber. Betten sehr bequem. Frühstück hat uns leider nicht so geschmeckt. Aussicht war wunderbar, jedoch die Fahrt nach Oben ist eine Mutprobe (Strassen viel zu schmal). Aber Alles in Allem hatten wir schöne 2 Tage.

Die Einrichtung des Zimmers ist neu gemacht - auf rustikale und phantasievolle Art - sehr angenehm. Die Betten sind Top - sehr gute Liegequalität. Das Frühstück wir auf einem Tablett gereicht - man kann dann noch zusätzlich nach Wunsch bestimmte Speisen bestellen. Sehr gute Idee. Die Lage ist hoch über dem Comer-See, sehr ruhig und mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Nach Como ist es aber doch sehr kompliziert. Erst mit dem Shuttle zum Aufzug, dann mit dem Aufzug nach unten. Wir haben aufgrund der langen Schlange ca 45 Minuten am Aufzug gewartet. Gleiches dann zurück. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft immer weiter.

Der Ausblick in unserem Zimmer war zwar Richtung Seeseite - aber der See nur in einem kleinen Ausschnitt sichtbar. Das Hotel ist doch schon sehr alt - und auf der Rückseite Richtung Pool sehr unansehnlich. Der Geruch im Zimmer war sehr muffig und feucht. Es wirkt alles ein bisschen improvisiert - mit Charme.

due to a storm rolling in, the facilities were closed. :( wish we stayed one further night to make use of the pool and enjoy the views. they take money off for a bar tab which is returned within the week however we never used the bar.

Restaurant sehr früh zu

Bekväm säng och sköna lakan, här sover man gott. Mysigt rum med snygga trämöbler. Frisk luft i rummet, går att reglera temperaturen. Inga starka dofter eller damm vilket var perfekt för mig som har astma och allergi. Vänlig receptionist. Finns kaffe och te på rummet. Utmärkt frukost. Vi åt lunch på restaurangen och köttet var utsökt. Finns pool och bastu med vacker utsikt över bergen. Fantastisk utsikt från Faro Voltiano som ligger precis bredvid hotellet. Om man går österut (via percorso pedonale per il cau) kommer man till två utsiktsplatser som ligger relativt nära boendet.

Staff- many thanks to Hajar, Eduard, Rosa, Francesco and Giorgia ( what a great bunch of staff) Amazing food on both Restaurants. The view is Breathtaking.

Just a note if you have a big car it's a little bit of a challenge to drive to the hotel.

Soggiorno perfetto! Il personale è stato super gentile e, con nostra grande sorpresa, ci hanno anche offerto un upgrade della camera senza costi aggiuntivi. La cena è stata deliziosa, con piatti curati e di ottima qualità. Un'attenzione al cliente davvero rara, torneremo sicuramente!

L’emplacement avec une vue exceptionnelle sur le lac ! Le personnel était très gentil et nous avons super bien mangé au restaurant.

Rapport qualité prix moyen. Chambre jolie et calme, mais très standard. La piscine étant fermée à cause du vent, nous n’avons pas pu profiter pleinement du spa. Un peu dommage au vue du prix de la chambre.

Das Hotel liegt in bester Aussichtslage hoch oben in Brunate. Die Zimmer und das moderne Bad sind ansprechend ausgestattet. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, ebenso wie das Essenangebot in den Restaurants des Hotels.

Die relativ lange Anfahrt von Como über die grossenteils sehr schmale und kurvenreiche Bergstrasse ist fordernd.

Selbst zubereitetes Essen. Nahe am Wandergebiet und die fantastische Aussicht.

La vue depuis la terrasse et la salle de petit déjeuner était juste majestueuse. Le personnel était aux petits soins avec nous, nous avions réservé une heure de jacuzzi privé avec vue sur le lac et c'était un moment incroyable Nous avons mangé le soir dans un de leur resto qui est juste à côté de l'hôtel "la polenteria", c'était une très bonne adresse

Le seul bémol c'est qu'on ne pouvait pas regeler la température de la climatisation, elle était bloquée à 18 degrés et en plein mois de mars c'était un peu limite

The hospitality was second to none! From the moment we arrived, Yasmine and Matteo took great care of us with showing us where everything is. Our room had a fantastic view, available coffee and water, and overall everything needed to have a great time. As we celebrated our anniversary, the guys made sure to include some really special touches, just let them know in advance!

I was expecting a bigger option of main dishes at the restaurant, other than that, everything was perfect.
