Outstanding location in the hills outside Monemvasia, it’s an ancient Manor House restored and converted into a resort hotel with beautiful gardens, views and 2 restaurants. There are 2 fabulous pool areas and a spa - we had a lovely time here - Monemvasia 5 minutes away is a wonderful day out as well

I would maybe avoid dinner at the taverna and dine at the main restaurant because the food is excellent!

Μοναδική εμπειρία η διαμονή. Απίστευτο περιβάλλον με μοναδική αισθητική, προσεγμένα όλα στην παραμικρή λεπτομέρεια. Έχεις την αίσθηση ότι βρίσκεσαι κάπου στην Τοσκάνη. Το ξενοδοχείο συνδυάζει καταπληκτικά την απλότητα με την πολυτέλεια. Το προσωπικό φοβερά εξυπηρετικό και ευγενικό, σε κάνει να αισθάνεσαι πολύ άνετα. Το πρωινό απλά είναι σε άλλο επίπεδο με καταπληκτικά τοπικά προιόντα (πίτες, μαρμελάδες, φρούτα, γλυκά κλπ), πολύ δύσκολη η επιλογή. Φοβερή εμπειρία το φαγητό στο εστιατόριο Μουριές (ένα από τα εστιατόρια του ξενοδοχείου), πολύ νόστιμα πιάτα, καταπληκτικό σέρβις και κυρίως φοβερή ατμόσφαιρα το βράδυ.

Ειλικρινά δεν μπορώ να βρω κάτι.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds, and easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The level of service is exceptional. We stayed in a Residence Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The grounds and pool area are stunning, with stunning views in every direction. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made our stay memorable. We truly appreciate the lovely anniversary gifts. Thank you for your kindness and excellent service!

We had a wonderful four-night stay at Kinsterna hotel, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Our room was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm. The food was outstanding, with every meal being a real highlight of our stay. The swimming pool and the beautiful surroundings made the hotel feel like a peaceful paradise. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. A special mention must go to the waiter at the restaurant, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. His exceptional service and genuine kindness made our stay even more memorable. Kinsterna hotel is a truly special place, and we would happily recommend. We would love to return!

The property itself was stunning, something unique, and very special! Totally boutique feel with the service and facilities of a larger scale hotel! With lots to do each day and a fantastic kids pool!

My only complaint is the rooms feel a bit outdated and don’t seem to fully match the style of the rest of the hotel, which is very classic and country. I fell that they could up their decor a little in keeping with other areas.

Le cadre, le charme de l’établissement, la végétation luxuriante, la piscine réservée aux familles et une piscine adult only, le petit déjeuner incroyable, le personnel exceptionnel.

Nous avions 2 chambres et la différence de taille est importante pour le même prix (différence de 5-6m2 mini), odeur nauséabonde dans la salle de bain.

ואוו, זה ממש מקום קסום. החדרים המיוחדים, המקום יפה כל כך ומטופח. אפשר לטייל הין פינות חמד מקסימות. הבריכה מדהימה והצוות לבבי ושירותי מאוד. מלון שהוא חוויה אמיתית וברמה גבוהה מאוד.

Ηταν μοναδικη εμπειρια. Απο το παρκιν ηρθε αμαξακι και μας πηρε να μας παει στη ρεσεψιον και στο δωματιο. Ευγενικο και εξυπηρετικο ολο το προσωπικο. Στη ρεσεψιον μας κερασαν γλυκο για καλοσορισμα. Ολο το συγκροτημα ειναι αυτονομο και σαν ενα μικρο χωριο. Ο,τι φαγαμε ηταν απο την παραγωγη τους. Καθημερινα πολλες δραστηριοτητες. Οι πισινες μεγαλες και ωραιες. Το φαγητο στο εστιατορειο και στην πισινα μοναδικο. Το πρωινο ειχε πολυ μεγαλη ποικιλια. Σε ολο το συγκροτημα υπηρχαν παντου βρυσες με σαπουνι και παντου δεντρα και φυτα. Το δωματιο πολυ ανετο και καθαρο.

Δεν βρηκα τιποτα αρνητικο. Ηταν ολα τελεια.

Δεν υπάρχουν λόγια για να περιγράψεις την ομορφιά και την ηρεμία του τόπου. Είναι αξιοσημείωτη η ευγένεια και το ενδιαφέρον των ανθρώπων που δουλεύουν στο ξενοδοχείο και είναι πάντα εκεί για να βοηθήσουν και να ικανοποιήσουν κάθε ανάγκη μας. Για άλλη μία φορά ευχαριστούμε για όλα! Σίγουρα θα επανέλθουμε!

Tranquility and simplicity

The grounds were beautiful and our room was the perfect blend of rusticity and modern comforts.Great views everywhere and a lovely pool. Far enough off the beaten track to be private but still close to Monemvasia.

Kinsterna is a truly exceptional estate that has been meticulously preserved and restored. The property is elegant, beautiful, and impeccably maintained. The rooms are tastefully designed with great attention to detail, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathroom amenities are of excellent quality. The breakfast buffet is exceptionally rich, varied, and delicious. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was outstanding. The service throughout our stay was attentive, courteous, and of the highest standard. Overall, it was a luxurious and pampering experience that we highly enjoyed

The Wi-Fi signal in our room was rather weak, and the internet connection was not always reliable. In addition, the water pressure in the shower was somewhat low. Accessing the hotel can also be a bit inconvenient, especially for guests who plan to leave and return daily, as getting to and from the property takes some extra time and effort.

The breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever had: authentically greek flavours. The room was beautiful. We were lucky to receive an upgrade. The hotel pays a lot of attention to little details. Service is very friendly. We could only stay one night, so unfortunately we could not participate in the many fun activities. We would love to come back!

la conception des chambres avec loggia couverte est parfaitement adaptée pour les périodes chaudes? en revanche les vues directes sur l'extérieur sont protégées mais plus distanciées!

La struttura è stupenda, in perfetta armonia con il paesaggio circostante. Le chicche sono decisamente le piscine e la colazione. Il personale è attento e discreto, senza invadenza.

Le camere possono essere abbastanza buie, la nostra aveva solo una piccola finestra e la porta che dovevamo necessariamente tenere aperta per avere un po' di luce, questo devo dire che mi ha deluso un po'. Preciso però che noi avevamo prenotato la camera di prima fascia, quindi è possibile che le altre abbiano più luce. Se stare in stanze un po' buie e senza grandi aperture verso l'esterno non vi piace vi consiglio di chiedere informazioni su che tipo di stanza vi sarà assegnata.

Wunderschöne Hotelanlage, sehr schönes Frühstück, man fühlt sich einfach wohl.

Eine ungewöhnlich ruhige und unaufgeregte Atmosphäre. Sehr individuelle Einrichtung, wunderschöne Gestaltung, sowohl im Innen- wie im Außenbereich. Ein sehr umfangreiches Frühstück und das Essen ist geschmackvoll und abwechslungsreich

Die Anfahrt war etwas kompliziert. Manche "Reinigungsvorgänge" im Außenbereich störten, weil zu früher Morgenstunde mit größeren Maschinen erfolgten.

Our stay at the Kinsterna Hotel near Monemvasia was very pleasant—a great place to relax while being conveniently close to Monemvasia by car. The beautifully restored mansion exudes charm and luxury, surrounded by picturesque gardens and stunning views. The staff provided exceptional service, and the buffet breakfast was amazing, carefully prepared and showcasing local dishes and produce, as well as standard hotel fare. I highly recommend this tranquil retreat for an unforgettable getaway.

I was not happy with Room 42, but that was, of course, my selection. Don’t get me wrong; like the rest of the property, it is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. However, it is at the bottom of the building and has no outward-facing windows, which made it feel like a cave to me. There is a small portico with a metal café table and chairs where you can sit outside, but the main access path is in front of it, so electric buggies ferrying people and staff regularly go past. There are plenty of other beautiful spots to sit, but we also like to have a view from our room. The pictures are not misleading, but they do not convey the full story for this room. Normally, I choose the right room; this time, I didn't. Note to self and others for the future! I need to get better at voicing my concerns during check-in and moving to a different room if possible. The property wasn't full, so perhaps this would have been achievable. Another functional issue with Room 42 is that between the bed area and the bathroom, there are two sets of steps—a potential hazard in the middle of the night if you need the bathroom.

If you are looking for utter relaxation do not look any further. Kinsterna is gorgeous with a very easy going and happy vibe. The food is excellent, your surroundings breath taking and the spa is ultimately relaxing thanks to Xenia, hostess of the spa.

Η διαμονή μας στο Kinsterna Hotel αποτέλεσε μια πραγματικά ξεχωριστή εμπειρία, ένα αυθεντικό «ταξίδι στον χρόνο». Η αρχιτεκτονική του χώρου είναι εντυπωσιακή, με απόλυτο σεβασμό στην ιστορία και την ελληνική παράδοση, ενώ ο ιστορικός πύργος του 17ου αιώνα προσδίδει έναν μοναδικό χαρακτήρα. Το προσωπικό ήταν εξαιρετικά ευγενικό και πάντα πρόθυμο να εξυπηρετήσει, με ειλικρινές χαμόγελο, γεγονός που αντικατοπτρίζει ένα υψηλό επίπεδο επαγγελματισμού και σωστής οργάνωσης. Η φροντίδα προς τον επισκέπτη είναι εμφανής σε κάθε λεπτομέρεια, καθώς η καθαριότητα είναι υποδειγματική, με καθημερινή – ακόμη και διπλή – περιποίηση του δωματίου και ανανέωση λευκών ειδών. Ιδιαίτερη μνεία αξίζει στο πρωινό, το οποίο είναι εξαιρετικά πλούσιο και ποιοτικό, με μεγάλη ποικιλία επιλογών που καθιστούν δύσκολο να αποφασίσει κανείς τι να δοκιμάσει πρώτο. Συνολικά, πρόκειται για έναν χώρο όπου κυριαρχεί η αγάπη, το μεράκι και ο σεβασμός στην ελληνική παράδοση, ενώ η σχέση ποιότητας τιμής είναι απόλυτα ικανοποιητική για το επίπεδο των παροχών. Θα το επισκεφτούμε ξανά με μεγάλη χαρά.

I really enjoyed the facilities and the activities the hotel offered throughout my stay for all age groups. The staff was really accomodating and we used the hotel restaurant for all our meals, as the food was excellent.

The building, the accomodation, the gardens, the views, THE FOOD, ALL OF THE STAFF. Everyone was very helpful, including the Managers and Owners. I was collected from Athens Airport. The driver was lovely company, and a very good driver!

An Airstrip

Dieses ehemalige byzantinische Herrenhaus wurde mit extrem viel Gefühl und Liebe zu einem wunderschönen Hotel um- und ausgebaut. Unser Zimmer war nicht sehr groß, aber sehr gemütlich, die Betten bequem, das Badezimmer ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, täglich frisches Quellwasser, eine Karaffe mit hauseigenem Tsipouro,....sehr nett und aufmerksam. Schon der Empfang an der Rezeption war sehr herzlich, das gesamte Personal sehr, sehr freundlich u d hervorragend geschult. Die Anlage mit 2 Pools, Sonnenliegen, einem Paddelpatz, Tischtennistisch, Tischfussball, Kinderspielplatz, kleinem Fitnesscenter und schönem Spa lässt keine Langeweile aufkommen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltigst mit salzigen und süßen Speisen und Kuchen, Obst, verschiedenen Brotsorten, hauseigenen Marmeladen u.v.m. Wir waren an beiden Abenden unseres Aufenhalts abends im Restaurant und genossen die hervorragende Küche und das sehr aufmerksame Service. Da der Geburtstag meines Mannes in diese Zeit fiel, wurde ihm sogar vom Personal ein Ständchen gebracht, das fanden wir sehr, sehr nett!

Beautiful views. Very friendly staff. Pesticide free gardens, vineyards and olives. Large room with traditional wooden ceiling, aestically furnished, balcony/terrace with flowering bougainvillea at the edge, well planned. Breakfast and restaurant very good, excellent wine suggestions by our knowledgeable and friendly sommelier lifted the spirit. The best of our travels around Peleponnese. There was a program of the week's activities in which we would have participated if we had realized and planned. But we were very privileged that we were offered a personal tour of the garden by Stellios, the knowledgable agronomist in charge of the grounds. Momvasia was close by, beautiful and pleasant. Another time we would love to stay longer than 3 days.

The place is spread out with buildings for restaurant, reception and rooms in small houses; it was initially confusing, and lacked more signing, especially to find the paths to the rooms. The large restaurant room was pleasant but acoustics not the best. More practical furniture is needed on the terrace a table with chairs and a sun lounger would be good. The existing lounging chairs were low and very impractical. Cleaning persons did a good job, but spoke not a word of English, so direct communication impossible.
