Hotel Alte Post

Das Einzelzimmer war klein, aber für eine Übernachtung nach einer Feier ausreichend. Die Klimaanlage wurde gerade installiert, und war noch nicht funktionsbereit. Deswegen war es ziemlich warm. Freundlicherweise konnte ich mein Motorrad in einer Garage auf dem Hinterhof unterbringen. Die Leute an der Rezeption waren sehr nett. Die Lage ist mitten in Lehrte super.

Da ich nicht mehr Komfort erwartet hatte, war das OK. Das Frühstück war dürftig.

Die Lage direkt am Bahnhof ist großartig, kaum 5 min, bis man auf den Gleisen ist. Der Herr beim Einchecken war sehr nett und freundlich, lief alles problemlos. Bett und Bad war tiptop, alles sauber.

Ich wußte vorher, dass das Zimmer nur 10 Quadratmeter hat. Ich war im Hochsommer da. Es hatte keine Aircondition, da habe ich beim Buchen leider nicht drauf geachtet. Da hätte ich beim Buchen aufmerksamer sein müssen.

Öffentliches, recht modernes und sauberes Parkhaus direkt nebenan (12 € Gebühr für einen ganzen Tag ist fair), Check In vor Ort reibungslos, Personal durchweg freundlich, Zimmer mit recht kleinem Badezimmer für eine Nacht okay (war zu einem Klassentreffen in Lehrte und brauchte nur ein Dach über dem Kopf), Frühstück ebenfalls in Ordnung, Lage mitten in der Stadt prima!

Schlafen bei offenem Fenster leider sehr schwierig, obwohl ich ein Zimmer zum Hinterhof hatte - entweder lärmten nächtliche Verladeaktivitäten und Gespräche auf dem Hof oder aber auf dem gegenüber gelegenen Bahnhof fanden laute Rangierarbeiten und Abkopplungen von Waggons statt. Zudem scheint sich nicht jede/r ans Rauchverbot zu halten, denn im Zimmer und auf dem Flur roch es überall dezent nach Zigaretten und anderen Rauchwaren...

Das Bett war bequem. Das Badezimmer neu.

Extrem unangenehm war der Geruch, wenn man das Hotel betritt. Um in sein Nichtraucherzimmer zu kommen, muss man durch Flure gehen, die nach Zigarettenrauch stinken.

Rustige nette kamer met zeer goed bed.

Het ontbijt was redelijk. Te hoge prijs voor wat er geleverd wordt. (Ik eet niet al teveel dat maakt het natuurlijk ook prijzig)

Nichtraucherzimmer stinkt nach Nikotin, lüften half auch nicht. Nikotingeruch auch überall auf den Fluren. Französisches Doppelbett war bei Booking buchbar, dann Info das es die nur im Raucherzimmer gibt. Beleuchtung auf dem Flur defekt, die ganze Nacht ist ein schaltendes Relais vor dem Zimmer zu hören.

Alle Heizungen zugedreht und trotzdem sehr warm !!!

Mit geschlossenem Fenster war es eher ruhig im Zimmer, dafür war es dann sehr warm. Sehr nah am Bahnhof.

Ich war wirklich beeindruckt von dem Personal 🤩 Sie waren sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und immer hilfsbereit bei allen meinen Anliegen. 😊 Auch die Betten waren super gut und bequem, was mir eine erholsame Nacht beschert hat. 👍 Obwohl das Hotel direkt am Bahnhof 🚆 lag, war es erstaunlich ruhig. Die Frühstücksauswahl ist sehr reichhaltig. Ich kann dieses Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen!

I’ve forgot my AirPods in the room. And the ladies who was working there was very helpful. She did everything she could to find them. And then after a day she found them. The service she provided was absolutely fantastic. Thank you very much for your help and kindness. If I ever come across Lehrte again I will definitely book a room again.

The staff was nice

The breakfast is so expensive and no variety at all. Literally had egg, no hoot chocolate. No fan or AC to cool the road, you can’t even open windows otherwise your ears will be deafed up with train noise and moving cars. No intercomm to communicate with staff. You have to go downstairs to see a staff on duty for Anything you need .

It was a last-minute booking, and they gave us a room with a bath, which was much appreciated!

Unfortunately our room was on the main road, opposite a busy railway, so it was quite noisy. So ask for a room on the other side if you are a light sleeper like me!

Location is great, next to the station. They always give me a room overlooking the railway. I have stayed here on a number of occasions because of my railway interest as Lehrte is one of the busiest stations in Germany for seeing freight trains. Staff at reception are very helpful.

Location with this hotel is everything as it is across the road from the Bahnhof. A different upgraded room facing the bahnhof was our given room. The heating was on as usual with the room being a little warm when the sun shone (as is normal), but the hotel is perfect for a Spring, Autumn or Winter break. Room would be far too hot in high Summer. Vending machine now provided on the 1st floor with a microwave available for customers. Hotel main customers are train drivers from the railway staying between duties. Be aware that they leave their rooms early and housekeeping will start their rounds from 7am. Use your Do not Disturb sign outside your door if staying here. Internet & WIFI worked OK this time with no drop outs encountered.

Heating controls in the room would help, as the heat in bedrooms will be oppressive in the Summer. We had exceptionally hot weather for March and the ability to turn off the radiator would have helped.

Location (opposite the rail station but quiet) was fine for me. I photograph trains. When booking, we requested (and were given) a room with a view of the railway. Good sized room and big bed. Lehrte is not an obvious choice for tourism but is only 10 minutes from Hannover by frequent fast trains and offers a more cost effective stay than the often expensive city. Local restaurants were also less expensive than Hannover with good food, Pleasant room, cleaned each day.

Excellent location, 50 metres from the railway station and frequent trains in to Hanover.

I had breakfast which wasn't that great, but thought it was included in what I had paid. It turned out that I hadn't paid for it, so that was more outlay and I'd say it was a little overpriced. Location just across from Lehrte station is excellent.

Having stayed here many times, the hotel met our expectations as usual. Location is everything with this hotel ,the Bahnhof is no more than 2 minutes away, with the town a similar distance behind the hotel.

The room we were allocated has the softest mattresses ever and as such is difficult to get on and off. If you move about often whilst asleep - then I'd suggest you avoid room 121. This stay we realised for the first time that the rooms have no air conditioning. Staying on one of the hottest weeks this year, the rooms even with the windows open all day and night were still stiflingly warm. Several guests had their room doors wedged open trying to generate a breeze through the room. To be fair to the hotel, the weather was exceptionally hot and the majority of our visits here are normally outside of High Summer.
