Buffet déjeuner très décevant voire pas bon.

The room was very good indeed, modern, quiet and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, an excellent bathroom and an agreeable outlook. The seaside location was excellent. The focus on sustainability was a plus. The gardens were well laid out, and a pleasure to wander round. Drinking water was available at all times. The restaurant was good, with a special word for the breakfast. All the staff we met, from reception to restaurant, were cheerful and helpful.

The WiFi was not very strong. We resorted to 4/5G for our communications. Apart from that, no criticisms at all.

Proximité plage, sentier de douaniers belles balades a faire a pieds en sortant de l'hôtel, le spa, B9nne ambiance, le jardin avec les plantes, fruits légumes et animaux. Parfait pour la déconnexion Je recommande !

J'ai tout aimé les soins massages au spa sont chers, et le petit dejeuner délicieux, que des produits frais manque juste de crudités/légumes. Un mini bar dans la chambre serait bien. Et le bar sur resto le soir fermé tôt.

Petit déjeuner très bon, très complet.

Die Lage des Hotels direkt an der Küste ist außergewöhnlich schön. Wir hatten eine Suite gebucht, die geräumig mit Blick auf das Meer lag. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Hotelanlage lädt zum verweilen ein. Es werden diverse Aktivitäten wie ein Markt angeboten. Es kommen auch Menschen aus der Umgebung dorthin um zu Essen oder den Markt zu besuchen. In unserer Reisezeit waren viele Gäste mit kleinen Kindern dort, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

Es war alles in Ordnung. In den nächsten Ort sind es ca. 5 Kilometer. Das sollte man wissen. Ein Spaziergang nach Pornic dauert über eine Stunde, aber der Weg an der Küste ist wunderschön.

Ein Traum von einem Hotel. Direkt am Küstenwanderweg der Jade Küste. Unser Zimmer mit Meerblick ein Traum. Sehr geräumig. Bad und WC getrennt und sehr hochwertige Ausstattung. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Auswahl von süß bis herzhaft. Ausreichend Parkplatz und sehr freundliches Personal. Der Pool ist wunderschön mit ausreichend Liegen und Schattenplätzen.

Uns hat alles gefallen. Wieder einmal auf den Spuren von Commissaire Dupin

Die Lage ist atemberaubend schön!

Dichtestress im Frühstücksraum ob 08.30h, 09.00h od. 09.30h. Zimmerkategorien sollten auf Booking besser beschrieben werden. Meerblick kann bedeuten, dass man vom Hauptfenster des Zimmers auf einen Parkplatz sieht und nur vom Seitenfenster einen kleinen Ausschnitt mit Meerblick erhält.

Le site de cet hôtel est juste parfait ! Les chambres avec terrasses sont belles et spacieuses avec une climatisation bienvenue , optimum et sans bruit aucun ! Nous avons en effet pu bénéficier d’un changement de chambre sitôt notre arrivée du fait d’une anomalie sur la climatisation de notre première chambre. La réception nous a immédiatement atttribué une autre chambre avec vue sur mer ! L’hôtel est situé dans un grand domaine calme, entouré de verdure, potagers et animaux, tout en discrétion et proche de l’océan via un sentier côtier ! Des petites cirques nous y attendaient, propices à la baignade et à la pêche touristique ! Nous avons passé une très belle semaine

Staff kind of slow and no slippers in the room. The sunbeds are a little dirty with bird excrements and the pool is not cleaned regularly either - leaves and small tree branches

Location was good, we visited a couple of years ago and it was great, the place has gone downhill, unkept garden, we booked wanting food, but all was closed.

Poor from start to finish, this isn’t. 4 star. Around a 2 star I would say. We specifically booked this so we could eat at the restaurant and wouldn’t have to drive anywhere. When we arrived the bar and restaurant was shut for an event and we couldn’t get any food or drink!! Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. We had to take the car and find a restaurant. The room made a noise as the air con was broken, they had to switch it off so we were without air con, the public lounge had a cat sleeping on each chair in turn, so being allergic to cats we couldn’t use the lounge and were confined to our noisy room with no air con. Staff seemed unable to clarify or support any request we had. Very disappointing stay, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone or stay there again, it’s declined massively since our last stay.

Venue pour un séjour reposant, très compliqué avec beaucoup d'enfants en bas âge qui crient à la piscine, jusqu'au petit déjeuner bruyant également. Si vous recherchez le calme et la sérénité, ce n'est pas le bon endroit. Compte tenu du prix, très décevant.

Il y a un manque d’effectif au petit déjeuner . La personne est très professionnelle mais c’est beaucoup trop pour une seule personne

Concept de l'etablissement : un eco hotel au milieu du potager et des animaux. Parfaitement situé pres de la plage. Prestations de qualité, grande chambre, très belle décoration de style bord de mer. Beaux matériaux naturels : bois veiné, plein de charme. Tres ressourçant. Fontaine à eau à volonté.

Plus de place au restaurant, pas possible de diner. Mais rien d'autre à signaler que ne n'ai pas apprécié.

Bruit anormal de clim par moment dans la chambre. Peut-être lié à la canicule.

Beaucoup de prestations de qualité : restaurant, bar, salon de thé, piscine, boutique de produits locaux, spa, grand jardin, animaux de la ferme, concerts et ateliers… les espaces communs sont très bien décorés et équipés (jeux de société et fontaine à eau). La chambre est climatisée, spacieuse et bien décorée, machine à café/thé, TV avec chromecast, le rideau est bien occultant, la salle d’eau est grande et moderne, la literie est confortable, il y a même un espace extérieur. Le petit-déjeuner est de qualité : produits locaux, de saison et parfois maison.

Certains espaces n’étaient pas climatisés et il y faisait beaucoup trop chaud malheureusement (restaurant/bar/salon de thé/salon de lecture et jeux). Il y avait un bruit de bourdonnement répétés la nuit. Dommage que la piscine extérieure n’ouvre pas avant 10h et ferme à 20h30 car en période de canicule on aurait beaucoup apprécié y aller en dehors de ces horaires.

Room was very comfortable but unfortunately (I think there was some confusion because they wanted to upgrade me to a sea view) on the first floor with a balcony exposed to the sun. Clean, modern, air conditioned and great bathroom. There was no fridge/minibar but the coffee machine was good (pods). We ate at the restaurant one night - there wasn't really any choice but the food was very well prepared and it seems all the ingredients came from the farm. A lot of thought and effort went into the cooking. Breakfast was very good value for money and we loved that the eggs were fresh from the chicken and the spirulina yoghurt! The property itself is huge and if we had more time and it wasn't so hot we would have taken them up on their offer of a tour of the farm and vineyards. Flowers and trees and wildlife everywhere. Staff were lovely and friendly. Very handy from St Malo ferry (about 2.5 hour drive on good roads, no tolls). Good selection of wine (a few different muscadets - all superb - although they also make their own wine at the property. Seems to be quite accessible, with upper floors accessed by elevators, but walking distance between rooms and reception/restaurant and parking quite long.

The wifi was terrible Signal was constantly weak, both in the room and communal parts, and kept disconnecting. The bar and restaurant are closed on Sunday evening. We had dinner at 1001 Degustations in Le Bernier-en-Retz which is about 10 minutes away by car, but would not have been possible without a designated driver (my wife).

The room was a bit small. But nicely decorated. The bathroom was very nice too. The AC worked great. Which is a big plus as we were staying there during a heatwave. We were on the ground floor and had nice terrace with a table and chairs. There was an event scheduled with food trucks and a band, for one of the nights, that took place in the garden. We were not expecting this. But we thoroughly enjoyed it. We even danced a bit.

The restaurant was OK. There were only two (vegetarian) options available. It might have been nice to have a few more choices. But it was nice to be able eat outside. The second night there (Wednesday) the restaurant was closed due to the event in the garden. However, there were food trucks present for the event. A refrigerator in the room might have been nice to have too

Hôtel parfait, calme propice à la détente et très bien situé à deux pas de l’océan. Jardins et piscine très agréable. Restaurant du jardin à l’assiette et petit déjeuner super ! Personnel sympathique et disponible tout en étant discret. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour!

Proximité avec la plage, literie parfaite, beaucoup de service de qualité et une ambiance calme, paisible ! Nous avons décidé y revenir cet été avec nos enfants !

Wir hatten am Mittag noch gefragt wegen Essen im Restaurant. Dort sagte man, dass man Montag nicht reservieren braucht. Als wir dann essen wollten, war natürlich alles voll. Das war sehr unglücklich, da man dann mit dem Auto in die Stadt musste. Der Rest war aber so gut, dass wir dafür keinen Punkt abziehen. Es sollte aber jedem Gast der schon nach dem Restaurant fragt auch ein Tisch reserviert werden.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé l'endroit, le lit, les équipements de la chambre et l'amabilité du personnel. De manière générale c'était vraiment un endroit agréable. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié la petite ferme. Cependant dommage que la piscine n'était pas enco4muverte ! Le petit déjeuner était très bon, avec quelques produits locaux. Donc c'était top !

Restaurant Bereich ungemütlich, Personal überfordert mit den vielen Tischen und gehetzt. Leider wertet es das gute Menü ab.

Clean, good bathrooms

The restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday evenings which is very inconvenient. The only option is to drive to town for dinner. Twin beds are very small.

Wir haben das Hotel wegen seiner Lage gebucht, aber auch wegen dem Konzept, selbstangebaute Lebensmittel, inclusive Tiere. Es war insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt, mit tollem Frühstück und Abendessen.

WLAN Empfang war in unserem Zimmer schlecht.

Je crois que je n’avais jamais été dans un endroit aussi propre et bien tenu. Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien insonorisées et la literie est confortable. Le personnel est très attentionné. La piscine est superbe. Le spa très agréable. L’environnement est superbe. Un sans faute.

Wifi was a big issue. It is not secured which considering the price is a big let down. We had to change our wifi settings to get a non secure wifi and even then it would not download quickly enough to view an internet page . We did discuss this with the customer service staff but although helpful no resolution. Our room was next to the lift which meant we had people outside our door waiting for the lift with raised voices around 12pm after leaving the bar we presume and again in the morning. No signs to say please respect residents and keep quiet at unsocial hours .

Nice location and good to have a bar and restaurant on site. Lovely balcony outside the room with great views.

La Fontaine is a spa hotel however as a hotel guest you have to pay extra to use the spa for anything (not just treatments), which we found a bit disappointing, particularly as the outdoor pool wasn’t open. We rented some bikes from the hotel but neither of the batteries on the electric bikes were fully charged and one of the pannier racks on the back of one of the ordinary bikes almost came off half way round our cycle as did the chain guard as the bolts holding them on didn’t have nuts attached - just generally not very well maintained. The dinner served in the restaurant was a fixed one - ie no choice for any course and yet the service was incredibly slow. It took about an hour before our starters came? The food itself was excellent but it took a very long time. Lastly the hotel had booked a convention of motor home enthusiasts which took over the whole car park on the second day we were there. We were asked to move our cars into a different bit of the car park which we found a bit odd but we did as asked. Then coming back from dinner in Pornic that evening, until the night porter came and sorted it out, we were barred from coming into the hotel car park altogether by some officious motor homer! It left a nasty taste in the mouth, which was a shame.

A lovely looking hotel, isolated in a peaceful location. The room was basic but comfortable and warm.

The only thing that let my experience down was the ‘restaurant’. The evening meal was limited to just one dish, in my case so-called pulled pork (somewhat flavourless and served lukewarm) with just a few potatoes and only one salad (lettuce) choice. Yes, I know the hotel makes a big thing about only serving vegetables that it grows on site but, come on, they should be able to do better than this. The experience just felt too much like a lower class carvery in the UK. Such a shame.

Profond désaccord sur le petit déjeuner payo d’avance. Il n’y avait pas de fiche pour se faire livrer dans la chambre. Le matin j’ai demandé s’il était possible de faire livrer un petit déjeuner, on m’a répondu après un longtemps d’attente qui fallait remplir une fiche… Laquelle était introuvable au service du petit déjeuner. Si bien nous sommes partis sans cette prestation. La réception a refusé de nous le rembourser, ce qui est proprement scandaleux. La veille au soir, et malgré l’amabilité de la serveuse, il n’y avait qu’un seul plat à servir. Ce qui pour un établissement de cette classe est proprement inadmissible. Je demande le remboursement du petit déjeuner et donc l’intervention de Booking Avec mes remerciements
