Nothing really. The hotel is definitely not 3*, more a 2* bed-and-breakfast.

Small, airless room. No wardrobe, just a metal contraption with 4 clothes hangers for two people. No drawers for storing clothes. No space to store our suitcases. Would have been ok for an overnight stay, but wasn't ideal for a week. The hotel itself has no communal areas for relaxing. The air-conditioning wasn't working for 5 days of our week's stay. Our room was above the kitchen's extractor fan, so opening the window filled the room with cooking smells (not to mention the noise of the fan). Night-time window opening resulted in an invasion of gnats, which left us covered with bites. Breakfast choices were limited. The notice telling guests to 'help yourselves but do not waste food' was patronising. The manager spoke no English, which is unusual for an establishment that advertises internationally.

Está reclamação de falta do ar condicionado já foi relatada aqui a alguns meses. Parece que os proprietários não se importam com isto. Wi-fi também não conectava Cama muito pequena

WiFi issues in some parts of property (thick stone walls) but alternative route access given by receptionist. Air Conditioning was not working, but due to be fixed. Bar closed very early and we even had to vacate the seats and go back to our rooms, as opposed to sitting in the bar (without any drinks) just chatting, but I guess the staff wanted to go home (fair enough)

Tout aurait pu être bien mais une odeur persistante d’égouts nous a beaucoup incommodé. Rien n.a pu être fait pour nous car la réception ferme tôt et le veilleur de nuit travaille au restaurant et n’A pu nous aider… dommage car l’emplacement est parfait

Tolles, umfangreiches Frühstück im wunderschönen Wintergarten mit Blick auf den Bach und ins Grüne. Interessantes, sehr verwinkeltes Gebäude. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer. Eins davon war sehr geräumig, das zweite eher klein im Dachgeschoss.

En arrivant a 17h45 après un long trajet nous avons demandé pour diner au restaurant le soir. L'hôtesse d'accueil nous a répondu que c'était complet. Nous lui avons précisé que nous pouvions diner des 19h00 (2 couverts) rapidement car fatigués de la route. Elle s'est renseignée auprès de la direction (ou aux cuisines) et malheureusement ils ont refusé. Elles nous a dit d'aller en ville........... D'autre part la climatisation s'est mise en route à minuit dans notre chambre et pas de bouton d'arrêt. Obligé de chercher comment la réduire (aucune notice). Apres bien des manipulations (45 mn) j'ai pu la stopper.

Прекрасное месторасположение у подножья замка. Номер большой с камином, очень красивый! Великолепный вид из окна на реку и сад. В здании есть лифт, что очень помогло в поднятии багажа в номер. Персонал очень приветливый и дружелюбный! Так как мы приехали на свадьбу и нам требовалось для подготовки больше времени (прически, макияж, красивые платья), нам позволили немного задержаться и освободить номер чуть позже заявленного срока выселения, за что мы очень благодарны!

Probabilmente siamo stati sfortunati con l'assegnazione della stanza ma la 129, su cui abbiamo letto altre critiche, era davvero un po' angusta (per via delle travi a soffitta in tutta la stanza già molto piccola e diversa da altre stanze standard pubblicizzate sul sito); inoltre era davvero poco insonorizzata. L'aspetto del corridoio esterno, della stanza e del bagno in generale sono proprio un po' vecchi e meno curati rispetto alla media dei tanti boutique hotel francesi che abbiamo visitato negli anni (in situazioni e con prezzi simili). Al nostro arrivo la reception era chiusa - e va bene - ma oltre alla stanza davvero fredda (aria condizionata attivata nonostante i 17 gradi esterni), non è andato mai neanche il wi-fi e abbiamo dovuto sistemare da soli lo scarico bloccato del wc. Anche l'ascensore ha dato dei problemi. Non abbiamo provato il ristorante e la colazione di cui si parla molto bene e abbiamo solo salutato la receptionist al check out, quindi non possiamo valutare questi aspetti. In generale ci aspettavamo davvero una stanza e un'esperienza migliori anche considerando che a Loches sono giorni di bassa stagione ed è quasi tutto chiuso e vuoto. Peccato

Quaint old building. Breakfast had a good selection. Seating in sunroom with view of water and ducks was very relaxing.

Staircase was narrow and dangerous. Recommend that guests only use elevator and ensure that it is always available.

Nous avons passé une nuit en chambre double pour 2 personnes. Chambre occupée petite mais néanmoins mignonne mais le lit en sous pente et sous les poutres rend l' accès pas très facile. Également cette chambre semble manquer d'entretien, le luminaire au-dessus du lit est sale, le réveil ne fonctionne pas et surtout nous avons signalé à notre départ à la réception un trou et papier peint arraché en sous pente , petite dégradation qui apparemment n' était pas connue de la dame à la réception!. Le petit déjeuner est correct avec du choix tant sucré que salé.

Perfect location on the bank of a quiet river in the heart of this attractive and historic town. There is even a dedicated space in the street by the front door for unloading your car, before parking in the extensive free public car park among the trees and grass on the other side of the river. On a stifling hot day with temperatures in the thirties the air conditioning was very welcome as was the rather quirky lift, itself an unusual bonus in an old building. The restaurant overlooking the river was very attractive and well laid-out, and breakfast was pretty good even though they ran out of croissants (when the hotel was far from full). The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially in the morning. Once back in the UK we found that my wife had left a small bracelet in our room; the hotel immediately replied to our query and confirmed that the bracelet had been found and was being held for us. We have just booked another stay!

Our room in the attic was on the small side, although the bathroom was a good size and well thought-out. The menu at dinner was a little pretentious and over-ambitious, with the food not really living up to its promise (I had the one of the toughest steaks I have ever eaten).

Riesen TV, wer es braucht. Schlafen wie in einem Schloss. Steinerne Wendeltreppe zum 1. Stock oder Aufzug. Super Frühstück. Parkplätze zum Entladen direkt vor dem Haus oder für die Dauer hinter dem Haus. Frühstücksraum/ Restaurant direkt über dem kleinen Flusslauf. Wunderschön. Die Burganlage von Chateau Loches oder die historische Altstadt in wenigen Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Nette Restaurants und Geschäfte. Sehr netter Empfang und ruhige Umgebung. In der Nähe Parkanlagen für längere Spaziergänge.

The location was ideal just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Loches. The back of the hotel overlooks a pretty little river. Our two rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds and modern ensuites. The room facilities were excellent. We decided to have breakfast which was very good. The two downstairs toilets were very chic and unusual. Worth a visit even if you don't need to use them! I can really recommend this hotel.

beautiful hotel/ room sympathetically renovated. Staff gave friendly welcome. Unexpected amazing view of the river at breakfast. Good choice of food for me and my husband with a gluten free table separate. We would stay again or recommend to others.

Unfortunately the lift wasn't working and the stone spiral staircase was beautiful but not functional with our large feet or to serve a disabled or elderly client.

Aan de schuine muur, kan je niet veel aan doen in een middeleeuwen gebouw, maar aan het licht die smorgens vanuit de badkamer je kamer in komt schijnen, kan een klein gordijntje al volstaan.

La chambre vraiment petite et la salle de bain sans mobilier. Le restaurant n'a pas voulu nous accueillir prétextant qu'il était complet alors que des tables sont restées libres. En tant que client de l'hôtel, nous nous attendions à un accueil nettement plus chaleureux que celui que l'on nous a réservé...

L’établissement est beau et très bien situé

La climatisation n’est pas contrôlable de la chambre, beaucoup trop froide, beaucoup trop forte et qui donne directement sur le lit. Malgré ma demande, elle n’a pas été réglée. Donc le bruit et le froid m ont empêché de dormir.

La ubicación, al lado de la fortaleza. Aparcamiento gratis al lado del hotel , a la vuelta de la esquina. La ruta roja con el jardín público está detrás del hotel. La mejor foto se toma en ese jardín. El desayuno muy básico. El restaurante es bueno, con climatización, menú de mediodía de 23€. Mejor reservar tanto para comida como para cena. Nosotros a pesar de estar alojados en el hotel no pudimos cenar allí. Hay un Carrefour city no muy lejos de la fortaleza. Hay cafetera y café en cápsulas en la habitación. En el pasillo de la segunda planta hay nevera y microondas. Cama cómoda, habitación limpia y buen aire acondicionado.

La escalera de caracol súper incomoda. La habitación 219 del ático está un poco desgastada. La Wifi en la habitación no funciona. En el restaurante sí que va bien. El check in que es a las 15 horas , no antes. Cierran de 1 a 3 para atender el restaurante pero podrían ser más flexibles con la hora de la entrada. En ola de calor y en moto llegamos asfixiados. Menos mal que nos dieron mesa en el restaurante para comer e hicimos tiempo, sino nos hubiese sido complicado, ya que para encontrar un restaurante tienes que ir dentro de la fortaleza y la mayoría o casi todos los restaurantes en el centro de Loches no están aclimatados. Otra cosa que podrían mejorar es la atención por el chat de Booking para atender peticiones especiales, ya que no le dan uso.

Magnifique hôtel chargé d’histoire, avec tout le confort moderne. Accueil juste parfait par une personne d’un bienveillant professionnalisme. Rien ne manque.

Hotel charmant, déco soignée, la climatisation était parfaite par ces canicules. Un grand parking gratuit à l'arrière de l'établissement surveillé par caméras.

Du fait des canicules a répétition, l'ascenseur était en panne, on a du monter nos valises par un escalier minuscule ! mais là l'hotel n'y peut rien...

The situation was great. Easy to find and we parked directly outside to unload before moving to the free parking. Staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast room was lovely sitting outside and beside the river. Great sized TV

Rooms are a little dated and could do with a refresher. Paint was dark and looked a bit dated.
