The staff is terrible and xenophobic; I stayed for two nights this time, and although the underground parking was full, I wasn't offered a spot behind the hotel where there were two vacant spaces. I was sent to a public parking lot a 15-minute walk away—despite having a guaranteed reservation—even though I have a leg injury and have great difficulty getting around. For a 5-star hotel, you have to carry your own luggage; in terms of staff, it doesn't even deserve 2 stars. It’s a 5-star hotel with a shared minibar in the hallway, and they don't have a restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner—it’s always fully booked for hotel guests. I’m going to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency to have their 5-star rating re-evaluated; if you want to deal with frustration and discomfort, go to this hotel.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Perfect stopover choice – excellent comfort and a fantastic breakfast My family and I stayed at the Parkhotel Gütersloh for just one night, as the city was simply a stopover on our road trip. Even during such a short stay, the hotel left a great impression on us. Accommodation: The hotel was very pleasant, clean, and comfortable—exactly what we needed to recharge after traveling. Breakfast: I was absolutely thrilled by the high-quality and rich breakfast buffet. The selection was fantastic. Relaxation: The cozy sauna was a wonderful bonus and a great way to unwind in the evening.
I have absolutely nothing to complain about. It is a perfect place for a brief family stopover (or a longer stay).

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Das Hotel machte einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Das Personal war in allen Bereichen sehr freundlich. Besonders hervorheben müssen wir die outdoor Ducktail-Bar! Super aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, sehr ruhige schöne Lage am Miniteich mit dezenter abendlicher Beleuchtung. Die Scampipfanne für 2 ist sehr zu empfehlen!
Leider hat es beim Frühstück etwas beim Nachlegen gehapert…..

Reviewed Apr 21, 2026Ich möchte mich für den fabelhaften Aufenthalt bedanken! Ebenso wurde sowohl mein Hund sehr gut und freundlich behandelt, hat sein eigenes Bettchen bekommen, Leckerchen etc. und durfte auch mit ins Restaurant und auch in Bezug auf mein Baby war es sehr positiv. Ein Bettchen stand auch hier parat. Auch möchte ich den 24 Stunden Spa Bereich erwähnen. Ich habe Nachts die Sauna und das Dampfbad benutzen können. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sowohl beim Frühstück , als auch beim Abendessen sehr schmackhaft. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, dass Frühstück zu nutzen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Auszubildente im 3 Lehrjahr, die wir beim Abendessen als Service hatten . Sehr, sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und sympatisch. Sie hat uns alle Wünsche erfüllen können. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, dankeschön!
Die Gebühr für Hunde ist zu hoch. Da wären maximal 20 Euro angebracht.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Das Hotel ist sehr modern und hat eine optimale Lage zur Innenstadt. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und sauber. Der Wellness Bereich war mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet worden. 😌
Das Frühstücksbuffet hätte etwas übersichtlicher aufgebaut werden können.

Leider war an beiden Abenden die Hotelbar extrem voll sodass wir den Abend dort nicht ausklingen lassen konnten. Auch ist die Hoteleigene Tiefgarage eher schlecht geschnitten.

Reviewed Mar 14, 2026Wir waren nur für eine Nacht in dem schönen Hotel, um abends eine Veranstaltung in der fußläufig ca. 10 Minuten entfernt gelegenen Stadthalle zu besuchen. Das Mittagessen im Parkhotel-Restaurant war exzellent und sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal im gesamten Hotel sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer sehr, sehr schön, geschmackvoll renoviert, groß und gemütlich. Auch unser Hund war herzlich willkommen. Wir werden ganz bestimmt wiederkommen!!!

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026Sehr zu empfehlen, insbesondere auch aufgrund der Lage zur Innenstadt und dem Grüngürtel. Die Mitarbeiter:innen waren freundlich, zuvorkommend und der Komfort des Hauses war ansprechend. Das Frühstücksbuffet erfüllte alle Wünsche und das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut. Gütersloh bietet ja touristisch nicht unbedingt viel, man sollte aber auf jeden Fall die Stadtbibliothek besuchen ( geht auch ohne Büchereiausweis und als Kaffeepause ideal ) und einen Spaziergang am Dalkeweg machen.

Note that there are not curtains but instead blackout blinds that are controlled by a remote and then a sheer cover for the daytime. (no room service except for breakfast)

Reviewed Dec 10, 2024Upon arrival the staff and hotel surprised and amazed. Such a friendly team welcomed me and the room I had was of the highest standard. The amenities were all class and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The room was also very spacious with a sitting area, an electric sit/stand work desk along with heated flooring in the bathroom for those chilly mornings. Breakfast was also fantastic with fresh food, good coffee and an omelette bar making a very filling omelette to start the day. I would highly recommend and look forward to making this my base whenever in the area.

No tea and coffee facilities in your room did ask at reception but was told no 'you don't have that'if this was included would have given 10 out of 10 even basic rooms should have tea and coffee making facilities,breakfast very expensive 29 euros each,so went elsewhere ,bar also very expensive, the hotel appears to have gone up market since we stayed there two years ago so if you want a brew don't book a basic room

How many times have you had to run around a hotel room trying to turn off all lights including the decorative ones? The place oozes class and its spa is lovely.

This has to be the first hotel I have ever stayed in where we as guests could NOT get a table in the Restaurant for Dinner, I even tried to pre book the Restaurant and didn’t just spontaneously turn up. For me this was a real problem as we stayed at the Park for my Wife’s Birthday and would have very likely booked and stayed somewhere else for our Romantic Weekend. Sadly we had to travel to another restaurant for a Candlelight dinner. It was such a shame and kind of spoilt our near perfect Birthday Celebration. Other than that the Hotel Was Perfect and the Staff were fantastic.
