Maybe having a noise proof ceiling might be great. Hearing the sink running at 1am from upstairs wasn't helping.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Modern and clean, 5’ from Heritage Precinct, supermarket and restaurants. The manager was a super helpful lady who ensured all guests had what they needed and settled in easily. On our departure she was very helpful in choosing a suitable route to Christchurch in unexpected snow. We really appreciated her time.

I booked the last available room, which meant it was likely more expensive than it might have been. Prices in Central have risen considerably, though, from my last stay 3 years ago.

Reviewed Jan 11, 2026Clean and spacious room with comfortable bed. Location is good both for Cromwell and for using as a base for vising nearby Queenstown or Wanaka (assuming you have a car). Parking is convenient, right outside the room.
Shower can take some time to reach desired temperature, but this is a very minor issue. Overall the room is great.

We booked very last minute and within minutes of booking received a call from the lovely Cheryl to confirm our booking. Our room was nice and warm and amazingly tidy when we arrived. What really stood out to us was how nice the bathroom was. It felt like a bathroom that you’d see in a hotel! The whole room was so clean, it felt like we were the first to stay in it. So impressed and had a lovely stay. Thank you Cheryl!

Reviewed May 1, 2025Always enjoy our stay here. The manager is very helpful and friendly. While it is an older property it is clean and very comfortable. Having the kitchenette gives you the option of cooking, if you want to. Is within easy walking distance to restaurants. The heatpump/airconditioning in the room is a bonus and keeps the room comfortable in the heat and on cold days. The sheer curtains give you privacy from other guests walking past your room.

I don't usually read all the information when booking accommodation. Perhaps if pets are not all on the property that should be further to the top rather than right at the bottom of all the other information. I go for location and price.
