The room was serviced daily which is rare these days.

The bathroom needed a bit of a repair.

The wifi would drop out whilst streaming.

good location, neat tidy compact unit, couch was comfortable.

Shower spread water all over bathroom floor, even around the toilet, need to mop floor after using shower, worst shower set up ever due to this. didn't replenish chocolate sachets and only enough for 1 drink. Shower gel was nearly empty.

Very spacious

It was a great location for the event we were attending. It was surprisingly quiet for being on a reasonably busy road. The in unit sky with pause and recording function was a huge bonus.

The office was mostly shut, barely attended

I had an undercover car park which was good as the weather was terrible.

I would not class this as the luxury accommodation they advertised. At most I would say 2.5*. General air of uncleanliness, the toilet seat was stained and peeling on the edges, the carpets appeared stained/grimy and the air con unit looked like it had never been cleaned in its lifetime.

Staff was very helpful, shower was great,bed so comfy had everything you wanted and close to the town to walk to.The lady was amazing fixing the TV for us

The hand basin in the toilet needs looking at taps just turn around,can not wash your hands.we had trouble the TV would not go,maybe the staff could check it out when they clean the unit so it is ready for the next guests

Very good location as we were there for an event at the pettigrew green arena and it is very close to good food and amenities as well. Beds were good although mine was very squeaky. I have stayed at the Ballina many times but have not been there for a couple of years and things have changed quite a lot since the last time I was there.

My previous stays here have always been very good. Very clean everything that was needed in good order. This stay was a bit different. Not very clean, the rubbish bin was very dirty, the shower was not so clean, the grouting was a bit yuck and the main light had lost its cover and there was a ton of dust up there. The hob in the kitchenette was rusty and it’s doubtful that it could even be used. A lightbulb in the kitchen/ lounge area was blown so went to tell them and the lady, whose English was pretty bad gave me tow light bulb and I had to change it myself. Also the was some pepper but no salt and when I asked for salt, she did give me some but told me that they were no longer supplying salt and pepper because of rising costs! I mean it’s just salt and pepper. It states on I sign in the bathroom that they provide shampoo conditioner and hand soap in pump bottles ( to save the environment), they were very cheap not very functional and no conditioner. Also you would be charged if they went missing. There was a sign over the kitchen sink telling us to do our dishes as well, which I’ve never seen here before. I stay in a lot of motels and there is usually a selection of teas available but not here, only English breakfast tea that not a big deal as I bring my own but still previously when I’ve stayed here there has been. I understand things may be tough but we are paying for a serviced motel room not a back packers

The room reeked of cigarette smoke, the bathroom had mold, the wifi cut out and there was zero response from the motel to rectify it (ie there was no-one there, the after hours ph number went to a voice mail)

Normally stayed here during my routine work trips, so just fit for purpose. Price is reasonable.

I had a great stay Ballina. Loved the big spacious clean rooms and also loved the big bathrooms which have high pressure showers. Very friendly staff and nice to have cooking facilities, a hot plate with two elements plus all the pots, pans and kitchen utensils needed. Nice large fridge with a freezer box too. Great lovely area of hawkes bay

The proximity for my visit was perfect. The bed was comfortable, as well as the furniture, and facilities..

There was only one lamp beside the bed, and the overhead lighting was not conducive to a relaxing atmosphere.

Very run down, needs some simple things fixed or changed. TV in room didn't work. No t the full sky as advertised. Linen was dated and grayed. Did not look like photos. Smelt musty.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable, lots of room to spread out. Very clean. A very big bed which was great 😃

The only thing would be privacy. We had to keep the big curtain closed so people couldn't see inside but it made the room very dark.

It says we’re in Napier but you are definitely outside of town. We thought we were getting a kitchenette and while it did have a fridge, the only sink was in the bathroom. The was a low budget hotel but still charged for a moderate ranged hotel.

Great location in Taradale. Close to EIT and Taradale township. Good size rooms suitable for family. Two bathrooms were handy. Reception had a welcoming smile and very friendly. Affordable and comfortable.

The milk in fridge was outdated and had turned bad so unsure of how long it had been last checked or replenished. The bathroom window was missing a handle and one of the showers was missing a shelf to place soap on.

It was in a good location for us.

It was incredibly ran down and in need for some renovations. There was a tear in the net curtain by the balcony door. There were several stains on the carpet. The bathroom vanity unit's door didn't shut properly. There was bit missing from the same vanity unit. There was no plug for the bath. There was a small hole on the bedroom door where it had connected with the bedroom unit. I have several photos.

Just stayed weekend of 30 to 1st Feb 2026. Have stayed there several times over the years. Greeted by a young lady dressed in track pants, TShirt, sandles in reception. Couldn't find our booking, kept suggesting other names that we may have been under. Finally found our booking and found our key. Entered Suite 2. No toilet roll holder, large rip in net curtains in the bedroom, a notice on wall above kitchen sink that you must clean your cups, glasses etc before departing.... really?? How hygienic is that relying on the last person's cleaning standards, shower head dripping during shower, toilet buttons not returning to position (we fixed that), wardrobe melteca door covering ripped, kitchen elements needed cleaning, 7x tiny milk tubs to use and not replaced on the 2nd day, bed not remade for our 2nd night, It appears the motel now has international owners and what was a good place to stay has gone backwards. We paid $161 per night

We like balconies, so that was nice.

All under the base of the bed was ripped & hanging down, paint spots on the walls made the place look cheap and easy. There was no where to put our own shampoo because the shelf had been ripped off in the bathroom, no shower curtain. Definitely long over due for a much needed make over. I should of taken photos, i don't like to write negative review. But seriously Booking.com you are not getting value for money when you have such a large network. We use booking.com a lot, i am thinking of changing to some other net work. We have not been overly happy with our last few stays.

The microwave turntable didn’t work properly. The bathroom fan did not work. Cobwebs in the corner. Room 16 No shelf to put soap on in shower. Very slippery tiled floor.

Sky TV remote batteries were flat- could not change tele from sky sport one.

Perfect location for what we wanted to do. Plenty of space in the room, and it was fairly quiet

Our 1st room (had an issue with the TV), so we were moved to another room for the following night, and it exceeded our expectations, the staff were so helpful and accommodating.

If i had to pick anything it would be the shower - this is a shower in a spa bath - there is no shower curtain - so the floor gets pretty wet, as do the surrounding walls and vanity cupboards, and the parking - some cars were angled - but then some cars were parallel parked - the parallel parked cars meant there wasnt enough room for others, which meant they were double parked - not so good if your vehicle is blocked in and you need to go early.

Seriously disappointed.
