Excelente localização para explorar as praias do norte, chegando bem antes da galera que fica hospedada no centro. Também há um piscina muito boa no hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here! The room was simple and could use some updating, but with the A/C, pool and kitchenette, it had everything we needed. The on-site restaurant was closed while we were there, but other restaurants and the beach were within walking distance.

Toilette avec aucune fenêtre, mais juste une moustiquaire coupée en deux. Moustiquaire déchirée dans la cuisine. La porte principale ne se ferme pas bien et laisse des ouvertures. Cafard dans la salle de bain vivant. Beaucoup de bruit des voisins à minuit.Remboursement effectué après plusieurs négociations, mais à un taux de change différent, perte d’env 40$!

Keine Frühstücksmöglichkeit ( wurden aber darüber informiert). Aber ohne Auto auch keine Einkaufs- und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Wussten wir allerdings auch. Ein paar Renovierungen würden nicht schaden. (Bad und tropfende Klimaanlage)

The room is spacious and the kitchen really comes in handy (there are almost no restaurants in the area), easily accessible on the mainroad.

Llevar repelente de mosquitos, zona rural, si quieres salir en la noche al restaurante o estar en una hamaca, es importante andar con repelente.

Das Rancho el Sobrino ist eine kostengünstige Alternative in Westpunt. Die Anlage ist nett und sauber, die Atmosphäre ungezwungen und entspannt. Die Restaurants in Westpunt schließen meist schon um 20:00 Uhr oder früher, das zum Hotel gehörende Restaurant hat bis 21:00 Uhr geöffnet, deshalb ist es auch recht gut besucht (es empfiehlt sich, einen Tisch zu reservieren). Natürlich muss man bei dem Preis des Hotels Abstriche machen. Das Apartment war sehr groß und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt, hätte aber etwas liebevoller gestaltet sein können. Für uns war es aber super OK, wir würden es wieder buchen.

Wir haben uns als Familie sehr wohl gefühlt! Sowohl die Anlage als auch unser Appartment haben dazu beigetragen, dass wir wunderbare 2 Wochen im Rancho el Sobrino verbracht haben. Es liegt ruhig in Westpunt, mit einem Mietwagen sind alle Traumstrände super einfach erreichbar.

Hygiëne was ver te zoeken. Een bed niet gebruikt door de hoeveelheid mieren erin. In de buitenkeuken was het gerei niet compleet en alles erg gedateerd. In de badkamer alleen gedoucht met slippers aan. Werden te weinig handdoeken geleverd. Na schoonmaak na 4 dagen kreeg ik weer te weinig handdoeken. Bij de receptie om extra gevraagd, nooit gekregen.

La ropa de cama y toallas estaban sucias, el inodoro y la pileta del baño se tapaban con frecuencia. La heladera calentaba por fuera y chorreaba agau por dentro. Lo avisamos varias veces pero no lo solucionaron.

Buona posizione,molte spiagge vicine e raggiungibili in 10/15 minuti. Le stanze belle ampie e bellissima l’idea della cucina fuori con un bellissimo terazzjno.

La camera non era così pulita, c’era spesso un odore di umido quando entravi dopo tutto il giorno che rimaneva spento il condizionatore

Não ter café da manhã, ficamos 6 diárias e só foi feita uma limpeza e troca de roupas de cama e banho e isso no 4⁰ dia. Era muito difícil encontrar alguém na recepção para tirarmos dúvidas ou relatarmos algum problema ou fazermos algum pedido. Os quartos precisam de reforma, na verdade, a pousada toda precisa. A pessoa que nos atendia não sabia falar espanhol o que dificultava muito a comunicação.

Für mich war das Bett zu weich, die Klimaanlage ist aufs Bett gerichtet. Es war schwierig sie abends auf eine angenehme Temperatur einzustellen.

Alles. War gut, sauber, schön hergerichtet, alle waren sehr hilfsbereit, angefangen beim organisieren des Mietautos inkl Rückgabe. Der Pool war ebenso sauber wie alles andere. Es hibt nivjts zu bemängeln

Wir wurden superlieb empfangen. Auch der Kontakt im Vorfeld war toll. Wir konnten über die Unterkunft einen Mietwagen bekommen (wesentlich günstiger als alles was wir gefunden hatten). Die Lage ist abseits und dadurch sehr ruhig. Einen Mietwagen braucht man hier schon. Die Anlage ist etwas älter (wirkt dadurch authentisch), wird aber gut gepflegt. Unser Zimmer war sauber und wir hatten alles was wir als Selbstversorger brauchten. Insgesamt alles sehr entspannt und schön hier und die Tauchbasis direkt in der Anlage hat es uns auch sehr leicht gemacht. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Preis-Leistung ist wirklich top.

The rancho el sobrino is a beautiful Location outside on westpunt in Curaçao . It has all you need . The staff is fast , competent and super friendly. The rooms are super nice and clean . The Most beautiful beaches on the Island are locales just a couple of minutes by Walk next to the rancho . The Pool and outdoor áreas are súper to relax and chill . We came here to meet Family to enjoy the time together , which was beautiful .. We will defenetly come back

Sehr gemütliches Resort, perfekte Lage im Westpunt nicht weit von den besten Stränden der Insel. Kein typisches Hotel, guter Ranch Style und sehr ruhig, mit Grillstation und Poolrutsche

We had a lovely stay at Rancho El Sabrino. I was greeted warmly and professionally by Sebastian in the office, he kindly gave me information about the area and check-in was easy.we lived our room and the prooerty, pool was delightful and had a delicious dinner at the on-site restaurant. Other amazing view restaurants in walking distance as well as great snorkel spots and beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear water. We would love to go back. We rented a car which may transport easy, there is no bus service and cabs to the area are spendy.

Location is quite good. We appreciated the clean pool, comfy pillows and the clothes line to hang our wet beachwear on. The room was clean, shower was hot and water pressure great. The staff are very helpful. The kitchen has minimal cookware and utensils and no running hot water but a kettle was provided to heat water for dishes.

Everybody friendly! Restaurant with tasty food! Sliding at the pool was fun. Room was beautiful.

It was totally hot in the room when we arrived. So sad that nobody turned on the air-conditioning before although we said the exact time of our arrival. The cleaning maid (nice person) always left open the door while cleaning. So thousands of mosquitos entered our room. After telling her and the woman at the reception it didn't go better. Annoying.

Location is quite far from the airport. And in a quiet part of the island. A rental car is strongly recommended

Quiet place for a stay up in the north. The accomodation has everything you need, offers a transfer from the airport and all the beautiful beaches are in walking distance.

No cleaning of our room during the entire stay? No hot water in the sink only in the shower. Pool area was nice as well as the pool. The ganeter was very helpful. No tour services or much help at the frontdesk.

The staff is very kind. You can rent a car at the property , which is highly recommended if you want to explore Westpunt. They can also arrange a transfer to the airport. Amazing beaches around, Kalki, Knips… if you don’t mind to walk, beaches are not that far.

We had a great time and enjoyed staying here, as the beautiful beaches were easy to reach by foot / with a car. The staff was super friendly. Easy check-in and check-out. The room had everything that we needed, was spacious and clean. We had great time chilling in the hammocks in our balcony as well as in the pool. A few nice restaurants nearby made the stay even more enjoyable. Would love to visit again in the future. Thank you!

It is a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Close to so many beaches and restaurants. It is not the Ritz, but just a nice, comfortable, clean place to stay. It also has a full kitchen with utensils. I would say the only thing missing would be a microwave. It also has a lovely pool. Be sure to buy groceries in Willemstad before driving there as there is only one mini market somewhere in town ( we didn’t see it).

This is our home-away-from home. My daughter and I have been coming here every yefor thepast 3 years, this is our perfect little heaven on earth.

We loved our time at Rancho El Sobrino. Our room was clean and fairly spacious with a kitchen and dining area, a small balcony and good size bathroom. A/C worked well and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area was great for relaxing and the water was sparkling clean. We even met a couple of kitties that live on the property, Wilson, Ginger and Burrito and there is an on-site dive shop if you want to try scuba diving. The restaurant, Cactus Cafe, which is not owned by the property, was unbelievably exceptional. The food was amazing.

Overall we had a great stay! The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, air conditioning worked well (for the first floor at least), and the staff were friendly. The on-site restaurant is excellent- as others have mentioned, try to make reservations and the African peanut soup is a must-try! Although there isn't direct access to the beach from the hotel, you're a few minute drive from several beautiful beaches and 10-15 minute drive from two national parks. They cleaned our room after 3 days, including doing the dishes, and fixed a dead outlet we had notified them of. We didn't use the pool at all, but it looked clean and inviting. Parking was straightforward (small cars help navigate the small lot though).

Our wifi didn't work in our room for half of our stay. My partner informed the staff within an hour of noticing, and they seemed unable to address the issue. This disabled the TV in the room as well. The shower pressure and temperature was overall good but unreliable (heat cut out completely, albeit briefly, during a couple of showers) and the drain didn't work well, so we'd be standing in at least an inch of water by the end of the shower. Luckily the threshold is high enough that it didn't leak outside of the shower, but this still isn't ideal. While it was great to have a kitchenette during our stay (note limited vegetarian entrees at most nearby restaurants), we found some of the pots to be in very rough shape and dirty. There also is no way to cool down the upstairs (kitchen and dining area). There was only a small ceiling fan upstairs and while using the stovetop, the heat would get pretty brutal. Hotel policy charges $20 if you leave the air conditioning on while outside of the room. We also couldn't get into the room for the first 30+ minutes. While this didn't bother us and we just went for a quick swim down the road, this doesn't fulfill typical expectations for accommodation. We had informed them ahead of time of our estimated arrival time of 5:30 PM and the front desk typically closes at 5 PM, so we were already a relatively late check-in.

Beautiful apartment right on the ocean. Amazing views and balcony. Great communication with the owner. The property was quiet you could only hear the waves and it had everything we needed.

Appliances and accessories in the room were quite old , streaming on the TV was constantly buffering , constuction noise at the complex next door started at sunrise on most days and parking area and roads were full of potholes .

Our stay at Rancho was outstanding. There are several restaurants in the area that serve delicious local cuisine with delightful atmosphere. Nearby are two National Parks to explore and quaint beaches for relaxation and snorkeling experiences. Took advantage of the pool every afternoon to cool down and to practice using our snorkeling gear.

It would have been nice if the attached restaurant had lunch options.

Beautiful small laid back caribbean place

Beautiful and remote location in the north of the island (Westpunt). Idilic place to rest and just 15 min on foot to Kanepa Grandi beach, one of the best beaches in Curacao.

Renoushka took great care of us. We were not happy with our original room and wanted to leave Rancho el Sobrino. Renoushka offered us a different room and made our stay very enjoyable.

The first room had ants. The second room was much better but the hotel overall needs some updating.

We recently stayed at this hotel as a couple for my birthday trip, and overall, it was a great experience. The reception staff was extremely helpful, providing us with valuable information about the best beaches to visit. They went the extra mile by assisting my boyfriend in arranging fresh flowers for me and promptly resolving a light that wasn't working in our room. However, there was one minor issue worth mentioning. We decided to have my birthday dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and even though my boyfriend had informed the waiter about the occasion, they didn't acknowledge my birthday or offer a complimentary dessert. It would have been a nice gesture to make the evening more special. Nevertheless, the stay itself was enjoyable, and the owner and receptionist were warm and friendly throughout our time there. Despite the small hiccup at the restaurant, we appreciated the overall excellent service and would consider returning in the future.

I would definitely come back! Stepfany and Marino were cream of the crop! Whatever issue we had, they quickly came to fix. To be honest, I have no complaints. The kitchen was located on our balcony and they also installed an hammock in which one can relax. The mosquitoes did eat me alive during this stay but Stepfany made sure to give me a spray for them. There was also a mosquito net in the room which helped a little. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked very cleaned. You get your money’s worth and more with this property. It is also located near multiple beaches (including Piskado that has turtles and Forti from where people usually jump off a cliff).

Good location in West Punt Nice swimming pool if the guy didn't stay there watching you the whole time. We are normally not fussy with our accomodation and are familiar with budget accomodations, this place however was not cheap and was below budget accomodation standards.

There is no reception available to help you - they blame covid? You need to whatsapp message someone and they take days to respond. First night our air con stopped working midway through the night - no problem these things happen but we want it fixed as we are paying for aircon. We are told we cannot move in to another room but we can go to another bed on the property to sleep but need to spend our time in the room? One day was wasted with people in our room dismantling the aircon but still not fixing it while we are sitting around waiting. After multiple discussions we are moved to a new room. We had to threaten to leave and request our money back before they tried to resolve anything. We are told while moving into the other room to take our towels with us and not to use the aircon when we aren't in the room and don't use the sheets in the other spare bed. Common sense things I would have thought but overly pushing this we are a budget hotel vibe. Both rooms were filthy, unswept floors, bugs squished all over the walls, ants all over the kitchen, cockroaches squished on the floor. The "Double bed" is actually two single beds pushed together. You are provided with one half toilet roll and a tablespoon of dish liquid when you check in, don't use this up as you do not get more for the rest of your stay. When I asked the owner for a refill they told me this is a budget accomodation and I should expect such, even though they provide toilet paper as a service on the booking.com services list. Before we checked out the hotel cancelled our reservation on booking.com to try and prevent paying booking.com the fees and a $35 USD reward that was part of the incentive to book in the first place.

Good value for money. Very well located in Westpunt, walking distance to some restaurants and nearby beaches. There is a diving school and a restaurant in the premises which I also recommend. Very chilled environment and fully equipped apartments.

Given the end of rainy season, there is a crazy amount of mosquitoes and unfortunately the mosquito net over the bed was not the best allowing many mosquitoes to bother us at night. That should be fixed. Take repellent with you from Willemstad as you won't find it anywhere in westpunt.

Nice and friendly staff. The room had a kitchen and air con. The wifi was a little hit or miss in certain spots in the room but we sat outside in front where they have chairs and a table and it worked real well. They appear to be remodeling and updating the rooms. Overall, I had a good stay.

Estadia incrível, se você procura um local tranquilo, próximo as principais praias da ilha (as do norte) e com equipe extremamente simpática, esse é o local. Se algum dia voltar a ilha, certamente vou me hospedar no Rancho el Sobrino.

Very glad that I chose to stay here. The location is perfect, and the vibe is laid back and homey. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. Had a lot of fun meeting other guests.

A staff do hotel é muito simpática e prestativa. O checkin e checkout simples e sem burocracia. O hotel é localizado perto das principais praias do norte da ilha. O aeroporto fica a uns 30 min de carro e é fácil de chegar e sair. o hotel conta com estacionamento. há um pequeno mercado perto, mas é bem simples. Mercados maiores ficam a uns 20 min de carro. O quarto possuía uma cozinha bem equipada, com utensílios, panelas, geladeira, mesa... O wifi funcionou bem todos os dias. Para nós os únicos pontos negativos foram a falta de cortinas ou blackouts no quarto e o cheiro estranho no banheiro, mas nada que comprometesse a estadia. Me hospedaria novamente.

Wij kwamen, receptie dicht en kregen de sleutel in onze hande gedrukt. Daar is jullie kamer, ik moet nu weg. Dat was onze aankomst. Verder bleek het resortje bijna uitgestorven, er was buiten een enkel personeelslid geen mens te bekennen. Wij zijn in de avond weer vertrokken. Zijn er dus niet gebleven.

Die Unterkunft entspricht der Beschreibung. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Das Personal ist freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Gerne immer wieder.

Kamer groot met ruim balkon. Wel uitzicht op parkeerplaats. Buitenlamp precies achter het raam dat geen gordijn heeft. Veel lichtinval ‘s nachts. Ontbijt op lokatie paar 100 meter verderop, maar wel prima. Wifi op de kamer werkt niet (goed). Heeft mij hoge telefoonrekening opgeleverd. Huurauto kwam dag te laat. Was een tijd geen water op de kamer, maar is uiteindelijk wel opgelost. Eén keer in de week schoonmaak is best weinig. Restaurant had gehele week halve kaart niet. Geen enkele deserts. Neem zeker DEET mee. Enorme muggenplaag.

Das Loch im Moskitonetz war nicht gut. Insgesamt aber toll, liebevoll rustikal gemütlich, wir hatten einen großen Balkon mit Küchenzeile (top der super Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach) und Esstisch, außerdem eine Hängematte... traumhaft! Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut und die Tauchbasis vor Ort auch!

We had an "ok" experience in Rancho El Sobrino. When we reserved a room for our "15th Anniversary", the reserve said "room with pool view", but our room isn't in front of the pool. Actually, the room is at the back of the hotel in a not very nice position. The room cleaning service is just "ok", nothing "amazing". The pool was cleaned once every 3 days. The staffs are polite and we hadn't problems with them. But, one day I requested a "Mojito" and it was terrible because the staff swapped SALT for SUGAR. I said: "Lady, could you please show me the recipe of your Mojito because the mine is brackish" and for my surprise, she told me: "I put SALT" (a terrible mistake). A guy that was behind me said: "Lady, Mojito is made with Sugar, not SALT". She changed my drink without costs but I was thought "how many drinks she made swapping salt for sugar. Finally, when we checked out, there wasn't anybody at the reception. We checked out by phone. I recommend Rancho el Sobrino, but don't create any extraordinary expectations about the place. Enjoy the beaches around the Sabana.

Das Rancho el Sobrino ist ein sehr herziges Resort, die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und sprechen gut Deutsch und/oder Englisch. Ausflüge auf der Insel etc. können direkt an der Rezeption gebucht werden. Das Restaurant bietet eine relativ grosse Auswahl zu recht erschwinglichen Preisen. Das Essen - insbesondere die Fajitas und der Spiess- war hervorragend. Auch die ansässige deutsche Tauchschule ist sehr gut - Roland war ein hervorragender Tauchlehrer. Leider war bei unserer Ankunft das Zimmer nicht wirklich vorbereitet und trotzdem wurde es uns übergeben: der Boden war dreckig, das Lavabo und Dusche im Badzimmer verschmutzt, es fehlte Seife, das Bett hatte keine Decken (nur ein Laken auf der Matratzen). In der Küche auf dem Balkon fehlte das Abwaschzubehör. Was uns nicht bewusst war, weil uns an der Rezeption mitgeteilt wurde, dass dies ein Apparthotel ist, ist, dass die fehlenden Verbrauchsartikel teilweise vom Putzpersonal hätten bereitgestellt werden sollen. Dies merkten wir erst später, als das Putzpersonal vorbeikam. Etwas sehr unangenehmes war der Gestank nach abgestandenem Kanalisationswasser im Badezimmer. Das Hotel liegt schön gelegen in einer sehr ruhigen, aber auch abgelegenen Gegend. Ein Mietauto für den Einkauf/Ausflüge ist notwendig und grundsätzlich sehr empfehlenswert, da das fahren sehr einfach ist (Vollkasko ohne Selbstbehalt ist ratsam).

I have not stayed at a place so warm and welcoming. Any issues were quickly addressed. It is a rustic but clean facility. I honestly felt as temporary part of the "family" I would HIGHLY reccomend a stay.

Das zimmer war sehr groß, mit zusätzlicher küche im obergeschoß, welches jedoch nur für den kühlschrank genutzt wurde. Klimaanlage funktionierte, wlan machte anfangs probleme, tv hatte das zimmer nicht wirklich, da einfach keine sender empfangen wurden. Es wurde sich zwar seitens des hotels sehr bemüht aber während des aufenthalts klappte es nicht mehr. Max 3 sender stark verpixelt. Im bad (auch im og?!) fehlte eine klimaanlage. Auch hätte ich zb eine seife im bad gut gefunden, scheint aber generell in curacao üblich diese nicht bereit zu stellen. Daher war seife eh schon im gepäck. Die Lage des hotels ist sehr weit außerhalb im "nirgendwo"(bei uns würde man sgen am ar*** der welt :-) ) von willemstad ca 1 std entfernt. Der bus fährt alle 2 std in die hauptstadt. Mit mietwagen ist es natürlich alles gut machbar. Im näheren umkreis sind abends keine shops, also bei später ankunft auf dem weg dorthin evtl schon mit getränken eindecken. Gilt auch für die bar/restaurant. Hat leider schon vor 9 uhr abends geschlossen, netterweise wurden bei ankunft kurz vor schließung noch flaschen zum verzehr aufm zimmer verkauft. Die lage hat auch seine vorteile, sind die schönen strände gut erreichbar, da diese mE der küste entlang richtung willemstad liegen. Die mitarbeiter waren hilfsbereit und nett. Fazit ist das die kleine anlage nett ist, bei tgl besuchen in willemstad ist es aber nervige fahrerei.
