Beautiful château, extremely quiet, beautifully appointed room, exquisite service, impeccable food and beautifully presented.
Excellent Chateau. Highly recommend especially their dinner
Beautiful property in country park setting. The castle is magnificent old country estate and we loved staying in the country cottage. The restaurant is amazing, as is the renowned chef! The dinner was the best we experienced in 2 weeks in France. We wish there was one that exqusite in the States
Staff excellent and food very good. Room quiet and comfortable.
Wonderful Chateau, superb staff and fabulous gourmet meals with locally sourced products and very unusual wine pairings suggested by the sommelier. Highly recommended
A real treat!
A dream
Very helpful staff and delicious food.
Excellent stay while touring outside Paris. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Restaurant on site is possibly the best I have experienced in France. Highly recommend.
a beautiful setting with the chateau, dramatically draped in green and red foliage near the lake; a quiet, well decorated room; a wonderful dinner at Les Tourelles, followed by a delectable breakfast the following am
Very friendly efficient staff. Comfortable rooms and an enjoyable stay. We were warned in advance that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday which was disappointing and meant a fairly lengthy trip by taxi into Rennes.
A dream within a dream! ✨ Thank you to the staff at Le Château D'apigné. We stayed in the *Marie* room and slept like pure royalty. I appreciate your kindness and attentiveness. Until next time…..
Everything from staff, to meals, room was perfect. Thank you!
Unique chateau brings you back to medieval times except the toilet, which is modern and chic. Friendly staff and tasty breakfast.
Fabulous property steeped in history. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful stay
We were very much looking forward to staying in this beautiful chateau in it’s wonderful grounds. On first glance the room was just amazing but my husband and I were not impressed to find the previous guests rubbish still in the bin and 10-12 dead flies around the bathroom window sill. We live in a very old farm house so know all about dead flies and spiders! On complaint at the desk this was all sorted while we walked the grounds but it was a great disappointment that the staff had not checked on this fly accumulation !
Lovely old chateau in beautiful setting And great food.
Great hotel - very friendly and helpful staff. Book for dinner to avoid disappointment.
Amazing property and excellent service and food, breakfast options
We stayed in the Elizabeth garden suites and not in the chateau. The rooms were large, comfortable, and we had lovely french doors. We never dined at the hotel as the menu seemed to be very expensive. But, we only needed the location as a base to explore other villages in Brittany. Served the purpose and it was nice to come back to a comfortable and quiet room.
Lovely setting, first impressions when arriving beautiful building. room in the annex very spacious, clean and plenty of hot water for a nice shower after a long drive. staff very smart and polite. dinner was excellent, breakfast was good. there could be a few more options on the dinner menu for people who do not like fish. we had a wonderful 2 day stay and will be returning again.
Spacious room, good meal at Les Tourelles. Pretty grounds and building.
This was a beautiful property and we had a lovely leisurely Sunday lunch on the terrace. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday nights the two nights we were staying, however we found a lovely Italian restaurant called L’Origan in Le Rheu about 5 mins drive away. The first night we had a taxi booked to take us to a restaurant in Rennes but it was very difficult to find a taxi to return to the hotel, we walked to the railway station to find a taxi. We would definitely stay here again.
This is not a 5 star Hotels. I asked a fresh orange juice for the breakfast. The one on the table was 50% fresh orange only! A very simple breakfast with no service. The room, the luxury one that I reserved, was very simple like a 3 stars room. The bath was not working.
Dinner was magnificent
Atmosphere and surroundings. The quiet efficiency..The value for money. The attention of the staff.
It was beautiful, this was our splurge stay in the area, but still very reasonable for the experience. The staff answered a lot of my questions before I got there (transportation, etc), and the restaurant staff was amazing too and accommodated my diet. Stay here!
**********Could not have been better**************
Fantastic gem. Feel like a noble person. View from the hotel is also nice.
It was amazing stay and food was really good.
This is a lovely old castle with charming rooms and a wonderful staff. The service was very professional and breakfast was quite nice. But be aware of some limitations; First, the hotel is some distance from Rennes. Getting there and back from the train station is a long cab ride. Plan to have dinner and breakfast there, since there is really no close alternative. Second, the hotel dining room is closed on Mondays - although we were told (Tuesday morning) that a light supper from room service would have been available. (No mention was made of that on the Monday we visited.) Third, the fare for a cab ride to the closest restaurant and back to the hotel will be about 50 Euros. The meter starts with the cab leaves Rennes. Maybe a small annoyance, but an unpleasant surprise. Same problem in getting a cab back to the train station in Rennes - which doubles the expected fare. In summary, staying there was a wonderful experience. Just note the limitations.
Overnight quiet family meal in the restaurant.
We had a fabulous stay at the Chateau and were made to feel very welcome and special and even received an anniversary gift of a quality bottle of wine gift wrapped and a card too...a wonderful surprise.
This place is amazing. The rooms were elegant and the service was superior. Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the surroundings. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a relaxing place to stay.
We didn't know our room wouldn't actually be in the chateau. We were placed in a separate building, so it was a little disappointing. But ours was a/c and it was hot, so it turned out ok. 5 star restaurant, good staff. Some speak English well. It wouldn't be convenient if you didn't have a car. Room and chateau decorated beautifully. Gorgeous, manicured lawns.
Wonderful stay in great hotel. Quality of restaurant and food exceptional. I would definitely recommend this hotel . Upgrade to chateau room if you can
Lovely castle, well-appointed rooms, excellent service, but grossly overpriced wines!
