Fabulous setting and views to die for from our balcony
The location is excellent in the centre of the village. Sadly the hotel is past its sell by date, very basic, dark and in desperate need of a refurb. I found the staff a bit miserable, breakfast very basic. Only stayed 2 nights and had no hot water. I would not return.
Great location and fantastic balcony view.
Great location and fantastic balcony view. Probably best location in Dalyan. But no information in rooms. Good breakfast. No WiFi for four days which was reported and staff seemed indifferent. Very frustrating.
L'hôtel est très propre mais dans son état d'origine. Une modernisation serait la bienvenue. Television ne fonctionnait pas. Pas de documents à disposition ( horaires etc...)
Stayed at the tezcan hotel for 14 days at the end of August. Can't recommend the place enough. Although the rooms were pretty basic, everything else more than made up for it. The room had everything you would need. The pool was a good size with plenty of recliners for guests. Really good breakfast with plenty of choice. Bed sheets and towels changed every day. Room cleaned every day. The real gem of the hotel is the staff. They could not do enough for you. So warm and welcoming. The 2 cleaning ladies were always smiling and really nice. The boys Cano and Mitchel were really helpful and friendly often checking in. The reception staff and the man they called uncle were also really lovely. I would 100% stay here again. Thank you guys for making our holiday so special ❤️
Stayed here for 10 nights. Was supposed to be 6 but we ended up extending our stay. The hotel does need updated but the view from our river room was exceptional so made up for that. I have zero complaints re this hotel! The rooms were cleaned every day if you wanted and the cleaning ladies were fab! The bar staff especially Mucahit and Caner were very attentive and good craic! Had drink and food round the pool & it was always lovely! I cannot fault any of the staff from reception to pool and bar staff. The hotel was very quiet but Turkey is like this at the moment as it’s gotten quite expensive and people are not coming as much I’ve since learned. We had problems with our sliding door which was fixed immediately and the hairdryer which was replaced with a brand new one also. This hotel was clean, had friendly staff, amazing views of the river and tombs and is close to shops, lovely restaurants and the boats to take you wherever you want also! The pool was always well maintained our whole stay. I would 100% come back and stay here again just because the staff were so brilliant! We also had a late flight and the owner herself let us keep the room for free until we left that evening. Exceptional hotel and staff! We even got a send off from staff and friends we’ve made along the way. Thank you all so much for an amazing stay! Kirk and Marianne :)
Booked a last minute break for 3 nights so i could complete some work in the sun. Had no idea what to expect but this hotel is in a stunning location. Its not a 5 star bling hotel but it is more than adequate and the location is stunning, Lovely lovely local people and the markets and shops are brilliant. The rooms are clean. The beds are big. maybe a tad dated, but who cares ! What's also amazing is that this isn't like other areas such as Marmaris which can get a bit annoying with the pushy sales on every corner, Its calm, wonderful exposure to traditional turkey and stunning views. I honestly didnt expect this for what i paid and i am already considering booking for my whole family. Just having breakfast outside is so revitalising its unbelievable There is a local mosque a stones throw away and its surreal to hear the call to prayer. Don't hesitate - get it booked! You wont regret it !
Best location. It’s centrally located, walking distance to everything; restaurants, bars, shops and water taxis. Staff is so nice.
Excellent family hotel, very central overlooking the river, brilliant for children with small main pool and baby pool. Poolside drinks and snacks. Rooms air-conditioned and clean. Buffet breakfast freshly prepared. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful location - we had a room with a balcony and a beautiful view of the river and rock tombs. We stayed for a week in June at the Tezcan Hotel. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The breakfast was buffet style with cold meats, cheeses, salad, with hot choices as well varying each day. Omlettes were cooked fresh with cheese on request. Fresh orange juice wasn't available every day, but was lovely when it was for a small charge. You could eat breakfast outside in the shade where there were some very friendly cats to entertain you. Our room as with most hotels in Turkey was basic, bed was comfortable, bathroom was a good size. Air con was provided at no extra cost.
Just back from two weeks in this hotel. Having stayed last year we kind of knew what to expect, a bit basic but clean and tidy However it could definitely do with some money being spent on it It's all become 'bit tatty' and worn. The family who own the hotel seem to have no interest in refurbishment. Everything is beige The bar staff were very good and always had a smile They have stopped evening meals (which they had last year ) so the bar wasn't available at night Don't think the owners wanted you there at night This hotel has THE best location and could be made fabulous but you would have to spend money on it. Which the owners are not keen to do Would I go back again ? NO !!!! Don't know where the shop comes from in the hotel description There is certainly no shop in the hotel.
Dalyan's number 1 hotel location w )ithout a doubt. A view to die for ( if you book a balcny and river view. Close to the cenre yet very quiet, only the put-put of river boats during the day. The best bits : Location, location, location. Very clean serviced rooms. Young staff are very friendly and helpful. Access from three entrances to local amenities. The not so good bits: No lift, Basic breakfast, although the freshly cooked omlettes are superb. You pay extra for fresh orange juice. No secure facility to put luggage between check out and pick-up. Fridge in room but vatious say no food or drink to be brought into hotel ! TV in room, but all Turkish channels.
Stayed many times, location is perfect for us, staff are friendly and very hospitable
8 of us all family have just returned from the best week at this amazing hotel!! From start to finish it was just perfect. On arrival We we’re met by friendly faces all running to help us with our suitcases. The rooms are a good size, nice firm mattress, extra pillows and blankets and good air conditioning and WiFi. The hotel is clean, the view is just beautiful, you never get bored of looking at it!! We were on the 2nd floor standard rooms and we loved sitting on the balcony looking over the pool and stunning scenery. The pool is clean and a perfect temperature to cool off in. We ate lunch everyday here as it was so hot and my father finds it difficult to walk far. Onur the chef is always smiling ( and dancing) his food is very good and he is passionate about his job as is his lovely side kick Muhammed. The staff went above and beyond running to get anything we wanted, pomegranate juice, fresh sea-bass (which Onur cooked to perfection) and Even cigarettes. Now young Mucahit- what can we say about this wonderful 22 year old?! This guy worked so hard every day, every hour, and did not stop smiling, he is an asset to any work place and could not do enough for us all.we And then we have the main man Cafer- this guy has a good heart, my father fell twice ( not because of anything at the hotel but because he is elderly and sick and Cafer was amazing to help us. He is a good manager and has a good connection with the other boys. It was 43 degrees on our stay and this team never sleep!! They work so hard and for anyone to say they are not happy or creating an atmosphere in the previous review is just crazy. Maybe if you are miserable as a guest it will reflect on their mood, they are not there to be your entertainment team!! Saying that they laughed with us all day, they talked to us about their lives and families and they danced with us and for this reason we will 100 percent return as they made our vacation ( maybe the last one altogether) perfect and memorable!! There are only two things I would change 1- darker curtains in rooms 2-an extra banister on other side of stairs for the corners to hold onto for disabled as stairs narrow on banister side. Everything was perfect and we will return next year for sure!! Thank you Cafer, Onur, Muhammed and Mucahit (Mitchell) We love you all!!
We stayed here for 5 nights. Location is excellent. Hotel is very clean but I have to say there is zero atmosphere in this hotel. The staff are very solem and look like that just don’t want to be there. Sadly we got a room without the view and no balcony. Beds not very comfy pillows even worse . This hotel is great if you are just looking for a base but certainly not if you want to use facilities eg pool. Such a shame as location is perfect
The situation of this hotel is fabulous. From our balcony we can see the beautiful river and the rock tombs. The breakfast is excellent, with fresh cheese, meat, bread, fruit and salad. The star of the show is the egg station, with fresh omelettes and fried or scrambled eggs available daily. We found all the staff friendly and obliging. It is not ‘fancy’ or expensive looking inside but the room is clean and spacious and the shower is excellent. You are very close to the centre of Dalyan yet on the river. This was a huge advantage in our view. It was quiet when we got back from an evening out but everything is pretty much within a five minute walk. If you have not been to Dalyan before we can thoroughly recommend it. People are very friendly, it is packed with nice places to eat and the river, beaches and surrounding countryside are beautiful.
Loved it, ideal for us. The room, (balcony overlooking the river) was basic, but had what we needed. One odd thing, there is a fridge in the room, but notices everywhere not to bring food and drinks in?? Beds are comfortable, enough storage for us for a week away. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Yes not perfect English, but I don't speak Turkish so not something to complain about. If you want something, or need something, just ask they will try to help. The hotel is central to everything, if you are thinking of going, stop thinking and book it.
Turkish breakfast was our favourite part about this hotel. The room is standard with a fridge, NO kettle for coffee or tea. The floor was really sticky when we arrived. Keep your shoes on!! An extra 450 lira a day if you want a river view even no the place was empty.
Stayed her for 2 weeks in September We had a great holiday. I suppose it was a little basic but it was clean and tidy. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and comfy beds, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas The staff were very good and always helpful Great location we had a riverside view. Hopefully we will return next year
Tecnez is one of numerous restaurants on Dalyan waterfront. Probably not much to choose between them regarding the food served up, but the price is just a little bit better than most. We visited 3 times and could not fault them one bit. Chicken in clay pot, chicken casserole, Anatolia kebab and others were all very tasty and generous helpings. The same waiter was on service each time and was so friendly despite language differences. We also liked the setting as the tables are up off the river edge but with great views and in full view were the Kaunos tombs. Lit up at night this was a lovely setting. Bearing in mind the truly Turkish food has been adapted for tourism it is well worth a visit to see for yourself.
In a beautiful atmosphere and climate, we observed below average service, quality and hospitality. Although staff is very kind and giving, it was obvious that they had no eduction about hospitality sector.
The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The food and service was excellent. Beautiful setting
Fantastic Staff, very friendly and welcoming. Hotel was kept clean. Building and fittings looking a bit warn and tired and some attention needed around the pool grating, but I understand the hotel is due to be refurbished. I hope the atmosphere remains the same and the staff remain as friendly
Right in central dalyan Close to bars shops and restaurants Excellent breakfast
Very ckean. Room service every day. Extensive breakfast. Perfect location for river views and transport. Two minutes to shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Sadly no elevator but only 2 floors.
we have stayed here 2 times the location is perfect but the hotel is very basic and needs money spent on it such a shame because it could be lovely food is basic and needs some TLC but it is right in the town
This hotel is very basic, along with the amenities. we originally had a street view room which we moved from after one night due to a dead cockroach in the room and the dog barking all night, this was at an extra cost of £250. The rooms are cleaned daily in which they do a good job. Breakfast is Buffet style and very basic, this may be because it was the end of season. Again this may be due to end of season but the pool was not very clean and couldn't really go in it, I think the river may have been cleaner. Please don't get me wrong this will suit some people who want to use it as a base only, it would be perfect for them and you could not ask for a better location. My last two trips before this one was in a private villa where you have lazy pool days which is just my preference. I would not recommend this hotel for people with restricted mobility as we had to leave my daughters wheelchair downstairs as there are no lifts, luckily she could manage the stairs with help and we were only on the first floor.
Being the end of season, it seemed that they’d all but given up. The pool was filthy and on our penultimate day they put shovels full of quick lime into the pool. This was scattered all around the pool side with no warnings whatsoever! I asked the receptionist to move the hotel dog who was laid in it. The breakfast was poor and when something had run out on the buffet they weren’t prepared to replenish
There is an abundance of accommodation in Dalyan so we chose Hotel Tezcan because of if it’s proximity to the tourist boats and market. However the lady on the front desk was very unhelpful and couldn’t get rid of us sooner! The man who checked is in was also unwelcoming! He just wanted to clear admin duties and send us to our rooms. When I queried about the location of their terrace (as seen in the photos) he said ‘There’s nothing to see there’ and told us to walk out the front of the hotel and head to the market. This is a shame as we could have spent a lovely evening sitting by the river instead of walking up and down the local market, which is full of souvenir shops and bars. This was our first time in Dalyan and so we wanted some information about transport to local hotspots such as Iztuzu Beach and Sulantniye Mud baths. The female receptionist wasn’t interested in helping us at all! She also told us to move our hire car (two hours before their 12pm check out policy) as the hotel was busy (check in is at 2pm). Detailing the extent out our conversation won’t be very helpful to others but I will say that this is the most helpful and disappointing service we have ever come across in our regular travels to Turkey. Basic, dated rooms but simple and fresh breakfast. We avoided the murky pool water and opted for beach time instead. Parking is limited and if you want to explore Dalyan by foot (recommended) then be prepared to be asked to park in the nearby school (weekends only) for a fee. For your information - Exit the hotel via the pool area and turn right. Walk for 2 minutes (past the private tour sellers) and you’ll see signs for the ‘co-op’ boat taxis, which cost 20tl return each. The boats are numbered and only depart when they have 10/12 passengers. It was a short wait but unrushed journey to Iztuzu. It’s a must do when in Dalyan. If you have a car then you can go to the ferry port (1km) away which fits 3 cars. It also takes foot passengers and takes about 20 seconds to cross the river! We paid 20tl in total to cross with our car and it was free (despite seeing signs displaying 5tl p.p) to enter the mud baths which is 1/2kms from the port. I don’t know what tour guides charge but it’s definitely a bargain if you do it yourself. Highly recommend Rodriquez bar/pub - they were really friendly - excellent service.
Second stay at this hotel, always pleasant, staff friendly and amazing breakfast.
The rooms with balconies overlooking the river make this hotel special. This is the 2nd visit to the hotel and walking onto the balcony the 2nd time reaffirmed why I booked the hotel again. Bar and catering staff friendly and courteous.
The Lady Manager on the front desk was very unhelpful and always miserable. She was not helpful. The hotel rooms are very run down. Nobody can speak English and everything is a hassle to them. Will not return
The location of the property was very good other than that all were terrible from cleanliness to staff. I booked and paid for two nights but wouldn’t stay their the second night. I don’t think travelocity should be advertising for places and hotels as such. You would be driving your clients to use other agencies to book and plan their trips. I for one I used another agency to book in Ölüdeniz and Akyaka.
Excellent central location and great value for money. The rooms are extremely clean and breakfast very good selection, much better than I expected for the price we paid. Just one thing not suitable for disabled as the rooms are all 1st floor and above and there is no lift.
Brilliant location with wonderful riverside views. Dalyan centre is on the doorstep but the hotel isn’t adversely affected by noise other than the call to prayer from the central mosque. Rooms are fine and are cleaned (and bedding changed) daily. A personal safe, fridge, wi fi and air con are included in the room rate and at £45 per day this is a steal! Breakfast is of the continental variety and eggs may be cooked to order. There was adequate room around the pool during our stay but some still persist in putting towels down to claim a sunbed which then goes largely unused. The dining area staff weren’t particularly friendly or outgoing but they were approachable and did their job and the cleaning staff were brilliant! Overall, a lovely hotel, fab location and very reasonably priced! Wonderful!
The hotel is in an excellent location and has beautiful view of the river and the tombs, especially the front facing rooms. The breakfast is excellent as well and pool outside is great. The only thing I might suggest is the water a little hoter in the morning and some of the mattresses need replaced. Overall its one of they best in Dalyan we have stayed several times and hopd to return.
A very nice 3 days would go back again but would like to have a room with a river view
Staff lovely, view gorgeous good air con which was needed. No lift if you have prams , i didnt so it was perfect for my family .
We have stayed at Tezcan hotel before just for an overnight stay. Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Have booked for October for short stay.
Good hotel, great location, lovely views
Room was ok bed very hard. Great views across the river. Nice pool area but not just for hotel guests so gets a bit crowded with non hotel stayin people which we found off putting. Breakfast was adequate but have had a lot better for the price we paid. Location is very good. Overall a good hotel for family's.
Great hotel super location, nice pool very accommodating
Great location right on the River with views to be proud off. Staff excellent and the breakfast was fantastic value. That impressed we have booked for our return trip next week. 😊😊👍👍
The hotel was spotless and a gorgeous setting on the river. Will definitely be back loved the location. Only downside staff were lovely but they could not speak no English.
Great location in centre of town, yet beside tour boats. Worth paying extra for room with balcony & view to ruins and riverboats. Pleasant staff. Good buffet breakfast with nice pancakes. Swimming pool. Parked motorbike on side street where entrance to hotel is located.
Perfect location on the river and easy access to shops and bars. Rooms cleaned to a high standard everyday including clean towels and bed linen
The hotel and surrounding gardens were immaculate. The staff were very friendly and the meals which we had were gorgeous. The riverside rooms were beautiful with lovely balconies where you could watch the whole world go by and the cows grazing on the grass across the river or the goats on the mountainside.
Stayed here twice this summer, great position, lovely pool
Excellent situation. couldn't be better for your outlook
Excellent location and beautifully maintained. The staff was friendly and most spoke English. I would highly recommend this hotel in a quiet location on the Kaunos River.
Having stayed at this hotel before we were really looking forward to our weekend break, service has deteriorated significantly, the rooms are looking tired in desperate need of an update. Mildew in the bathroom, broken waste bins, mosquitoes in abundance in the bathroom! Breakfast was good but no pancakes this year! Pool and garden area looks neglected paths full of weeds. The upper floor guests above us were very noisy therefore our sleep was interrupted. It's so sad to see this hotel in decline as it's position is second to none.
Good hotel in great position
A few metres to the centre with boats almost on the doorstep, so easy for getting to the beach and for day trips out to sea. A great location. Basic accommodation but clean and well run; value for money. Breakfast adequate although basic - please give a choice of fillings for the omelettes and pancakes. All in all a good choice for a base for beautiful Dalyan.
Pool area was lovely and location is great. Rooms could do with a facelift but the views from the balcony overlooking the river make up for it.
two nights there very comfortable and good food very clean and nice staff, one morning no hot water
Great location, right next the the river & boats which take you to the beach or further afield. Also close to the shops & town centre- it's all quite compact! Hotel staff are always around and eager to help you. I had a lovely time at the Dalyan Tezcan Hotel, nice and relaxing with wonderful views of the rock tombs, and good breakfast too!
This hotel should have been great - location on the river opposite the tombs BUT from the first moment stepping through the doors everything was wrong. The desk clerk was rude and unwelcoming. He took one look at my husband struggling on a walking stick and put us on the second floor up a winding stairway. We couldn't get our electricity or air conditioning in the room to stay on. The hotel although only 6 years old is run down, tired and dingy. The bathroom is dingy and has lots of mould. The TV doesn't work. There is only one bedside lamp so you can't watch TV or read in bed. The bed doesn't have a top sheet and only a quarter waffle blanket. The grounds are uncared for, long grass uncut and a few rickety chairs and tables set on bare dirt on what should be a lovely terrace overlooking the water. The pool chairs have no shade as the umbrellas are made of twigs. Towels not supplied. I complained at the desk that I couldn't get wifi and was very rudely told that it was my fault as he could get wifi on his phone. I didn't once see a staff member smile or greet me. The breakfast was very ordinary, poor quality, limited, and nothing was replaced. There is no hot water. Around 5pm you can manage a like warm shower but later in the evening or in the morning the water is cold.
it was lovely stay, room is simply but you have a small balcony fancing canal view which is really lovely. easy to find and this hotel is really close to the bars and restaurant area 5 mins walk max and you will be the main shopping street and bars.
This has to be the best location in Dalyan with views over the river and the rock tombs. The hotel is peaceful (no booming music round the pool here) yet it is close to restaurants, shops and bars. It is well worth paying extra for a river view room - these have a balcony and overlook the pool or gardens at the back of the hotel whereas those at the front of the hotel have no balcony or view (albeit the road is very quiet). Our room (215) had an extra bed and was more spacious than we had expected - lots of storage space and a good sized bathroom (no bath but a nice big shower). Second floor rooms are that bit more private
lovely hotel in ideal location. Hotel lacks character. Needs some entertainment, even if only pool music. Otherwise. nothing to complain about
Some staff were not as outgoing as you would expect, while others were very helpful and friendly. The bedroom lacked adiquate wall ellectric plugs and there was no wall mirror, only the one over the dresser. Free safe is a good feture and should be advaticed
Will definitely be back to stay in Dalyan and will stay at the Tezcan hotel only next time I will definitely book a room with a balcony which over looks the river.
If you're going to Dalyan this is the best hotel. Splurge on a room overlooking the river and tombs. The service is great. The pool fantastic! Breakfast was good with fresh omelets one day and pancakes the next. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Manager ( o my miserable life ) is a very funny man ,, the bar staff Evo n Mo made having a drink at the bar a joy ,if they could get off the phones lol,,,,,, Theirs so much you can do in Dalyan from just chillin to going on a boat everyday to somewhere different, BEACH , MUD BATH , TO SEE TURTLES or just walk into town which is a minute away from hotel front doors . Theirs a Restaurant just by the hotel called the hidden garden (very nice ) but hotel has a great menu and a good chef who cooks pancakes one day then omelettes the next for breakfast and does all the cooking in the evening. The cleaners are very good and the place is kept very clean, wi fi works great and the Raki is blinding ... So (o my miserable life( back home ) THANKS TO THE TEZCAN FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY
We had a wonderful stay at Dalyan Tezcan Hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were up graded to a suite because our original room was not ready. It was lovely.
was nice, staff are friendly and service up to standard,
An excellent stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a stay in central Dalyan at a good price.
