Fantastic location. About 5 mins walk from the lake. Very good location. Has a small patio outside the room, which is lovely to catch the night sky full of stars.

A great spot & lovely room. Staff were also very responsive.

Would like more bedclothes that comes up further, being 1.83 tall i needed more cover for my shoulders.

The location was great! The views were pretty. Communication from the staff was fantastic.

Bed linen had stains, the room was not spacious especially when you travel with big and small suitcases. The external bathroom (even though it was private) was inconvenient especially at night. It didn't feel comfortable and private. We could hear the TV and noises from other rooms. The kitchenette didn't have much space at all. Overall, it was not really worth the money.

could hear all the noises from the adjacent room all night and couldn't sleep at all, as the adjacent room had someone coughing all night and talking! Or they were accessing their private bathroom across the corridor and slamming the doors. Maybe some sound proofing would be great please.

Perfect location

Clean and very comfortable with everything we needed. The under floor heating in bathroom was a real treat.

The heating ie air conditioner didn’t seem to make the room any warmer even though we put it up really high

It was unfortunate that there was electricity disruption due to the public works from 8.30am till 4.30pm, and so we could not enjoy our room during those hours for our entire stay. The staff had done a great job of informing us in advance, nonetheless

Clean and comfortable stay for 1 night. Bed comfortable. Great size bathroom except shower was very strange…had all these buttons but not sure what they did and they didn’t work??? The shower otherwise was fine.

Maybe leave some written instructions on how to just get free to air TV. There were 2 controls but I could not get free to air TV to work. Wasn’t interested in watching streaming TV when in holidays

The peeks of the lake from the back door were stunning. The room was cosy and spacious

Extremely noisy. Other guests closing and opening doors multiple times from 10pm till 1:30am. I couldn’t work out why, but it is because they have no bathroom in their room. Other guest smoking outside my room. Mountain glimpses, not views. Very expensive for what you get.

It was a nice walk to town , check in was easy , the room was lovely , we had a great room with a lovely view .

The bathroom is out inside the room, definitely create some inconveniences, and the heat in the bathroom is broke, so it's quite cold when shower in yhe night.

Good location close to the Stargazing location, short walk to lakefront.

Very expensive for what it was; no sign of any staff - everything is electronic entry so looks like a property owned but not managed. The room was smaller than expected, and not in good condition - marks on walls, chips out of walls, black dirt and stains in corners of windows and shower frame, curtain with broken rings - generally a room that needed a good clean and some more tlc. Nothing that couldn’t be made better with a bit of attention and effort.

The area was very pretty, and the room was nice and cosy. The bathroom is spacious and well-equipped, and we even had a walk-in closet to store our luggage, jackets and so on in.

Nothing, really. The walk to the hotel is partially uphill. Not a problem, just worth mentioning for other people who plan their visit.

I didn't feel that the accommodation details explained that the booking was for a separate room and ensuite within a residential house, it was not a hotel.

The view and location are good, and you can stay at a hotel to see the stars at night.

There was no sink in the kitchenette or cooking rings so it was more like a hotel room. The price was twice as much of most of our 24 nights in New Zealand

Convenient and quiet location

Everything was adequate but no more than that. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the shower worked well.

No staff, so no welcome. Fridge had no shelf. Furniture was chipped, room was small, decor was unimaginative and bland. By NZ standards the room was expensive for what it was.

We had a wonderful stay at Tekapo Heights. The house itself is warm, beautiful, and located in a quiet, safe, and lovely neighborhood. The backyard offers a great view overlooking Lake Tekapo. It’s also very conveniently located, just a short 10-minute walk to the commercial center by the lake. The check-in process was seamless and easy. Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing experience.

The bed and room were very comfortable and it was clean. The location is positioned close to town.

It felt like you were living in a house with other people staying in other bedrooms and you could hear the other guests going in and out of doors, so it didn't feel very private. Our room had an ensuite, which was reflected in the cost. The other guests seemed to be using a shared bathroom and we could hear guests going in and out as the door to the shared bathroom was close to our room door. I am not sure why guests cannot open and close doors at a reasonable level when they know others are staying on the premises. Lastly, our ensuite was lovely besides the shower, which was one of those cheap stand alone cubicles with the plastic floor in them which felt awful to stand on.
