Didn't like at all the wall to wall deep pile shag carpeting in the halls and rooms. `Not only did it make wheeling suitcases difficult it just seemed really unhygienic and bad retro from the 1970's. Would suggest ripping it all out and having hard floors which would be cleaner and more stylish. Did not expect to have to either pay a 50 euro deposit prepay on check in and to have to actually pay for parking even though the hotel had a reduced rate this was an extra expense `I didn't;t expect.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026fantastic shower, overhead and handheld. Big mirror in hallway. Large room. Amazing breakfast. Very comfortable. Quiet, couldn't hear the street. Central to shops and also not far to walk to the Kammgarn venue. Parking underground for 16 euro a night. Very good air con.
Bed was too soft for my back, but I think this would suit all those that dont like hard mattresses. There was a coffee machine with some pods, no normal tea bags, sugar or any type of milk. I had brought my own teabags, but for that price, at a least provide some tea making bits as there is an electric kettle there.

Wir hatten einen großen Riss an der Wand in unserem Zimmer, was nicht so schön aussah. Das sollte auf diesem Niveau mal behoben werden. Ansonsten war alles top.

The sheets and duvet were dirty, which is completely unacceptable, especially considering the price we paid. Cleanliness should be a basic standard, regardless of the hotel’s category.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026We booked the Saks hotel months in advance to ensure we had accommodation to attend a very important family gathering. On arrival it was "ok" the hotel ozes being very dated, dark brown carpet and walls, do it no favours what so ever. We booked a room on the 5th floor, VERY basic for the money, no fridge in the room and no water; we had to keep asking for some and were told take a bottle to the ground floor and fill it up. The room itself was comfortable, bath and shower also good. Breakfast, we paid for as extra, no problem to us BUT please be aware you get charged "TWICE" once for food and once for drinks. I asked why isn't coffee, orange juice part of breakfast, we were told it was not part of breakfast is it isn't food !!! Parking is underground, under the hotel, also charged extra, which was OK. There was only one member of staff who we found very helpful and exceptionally polite the others not sol much. Breakfast we were hurried to leave, only ones in there, they wanted to clear up you see ! In short the hotel is VERY basic far from what they state they are and is not worthy of what they charge. Others people in our party stayed up the road at the Hampton by Hilton, a lovely clean and bright and very welcoming hotel. We choose to stay there, from the website, BUT in short, I'd honestly say dont stay there; go up the road, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Please consider opening up breakfast at 0600. I was only able to enjoy the wonderful breakfast twice during my week long stay. 0630 is too late when I have to be at my first work meeting at 0700.

Reviewed May 21, 2026Sehr zentrale Lage, Frühstück vielseitig und abwechslungsreich. Alle Angestellten waren freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Man merkt an allen Ecken und Enden, dass das Hotel einige Renovierungen nötig hat. Im Zimmer ließ sich die Tür zum WC nur schließen, wenn man sich im WC einschloss; die Armaturen in der Dusche konnte man abnehmen. Es fehlt auch ein Heizkörper im offenen Bad, sodass man ständig ein nasses Handtuch hatte und fror, da die Fußbodenheizung nicht ausreichend war. Das Gym ist stark vernachlässigt - es sah aus, als hätte seit meinem Aufenthalt letztes Jahr niemand mehr nach dem Rechten gesehen. Sämtliche Teppichböden im Hotel wirkten ungepflegt Alles in allem passt für mich der Preis zur Leistung nicht (mehr).

Unangenehmer Geruch im Kellergeschoss / Zugang von der Parkgarage. Im restlichen Hotel ist davon aber nichts zu merken. Der ein oder andere Mitarbeiter im Empfangsbereich könnte mal eine Schulung erhalten. Fahrstuhl bleibt immer ab 5 Personen stecken. Ein Risiko das dringend behoben werden muss. Das Personal fand er lustig „Das passiert immer“ … Das geht überhaupt nicht !

etre visité apres 1h par des inconnus qui avaient une carte programmée pour la meme chambre - du coup notre carte a été déprogrammée et aucune excuse ni aucun geste pour s excuser - pour un établissement qui se veut 'moderne , la modernité ne ressemble pas à ça...

Non ho provato la colazione, perché l’ho trovata un po’ troppo cara ( venti euro ) rispetto al prezzo della camera già intorno ai 200 €. Comunque resta che le camere fossero veramente rilassanti, la vista molto bella e il personale gentilissimo. Purtroppo , non posso non notare che , cadendomi delle cose, mi sono chinato ed ho trovato davvero molta polvere sotto il letto . All’ultimo piano capita ma forse non dovrebbe capitare .

I wish I could remember the name of the woman who helped me because she was fantastic and made the arrival very pleasant. The staff at this hotel continue to be one of its strongest points, always friendly, professional, and helpful. Overall, this stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.
Nothing to note this time — everything went well during this visit.

Reviewed Feb 28, 2026The check-in was very welcoming and set a positive tone from the start. The staff throughout the hotel are genuinely kind and professional — they really make the place feel warm and personal. I would especially like to recognize Sedat (I hope I’m spelling his name correctly). On my last night, his kindness and attentiveness left a very strong and positive final impression. Moments like that truly matter. The location is also excellent, right in the center and convenient for walking around the city.
I was a bit surprised that robes and slippers required an additional €5 fee. It’s not a large amount, but at this price level I would expect them to be included, especially when using the sauna area. Unfortunately, the wellness facilities were not fully functioning during my stay. The left sauna was out of order, and the other sauna took over an hour to properly heat up. Breakfast (€20) felt underwhelming for the price. The selection was quite basic and the presentation felt somewhat empty compared to expectations.

Der superdicke langfloor Teppich! Das ist schon ein bisschen eklig. Den kann man nie und nimmer richtig saugen.
