Everything about this hotel is super. The location was marvelous and dinner and breakfast superb.

I'm used to A/C even though the weather was cool it was kind of stuffy in the room and I opened the window to sleep better.

Sehr leckeres Frühstück mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Große Auswahl. Es fehlte an nichts. Lage des Hotels ruhig und zentral.

This is an incredible place in the heart of Oberammergau. It is a modernized historic building with a great restaurant in the center of ther city with access to all the amenities. The reception and restaurant staff were great, and the cleaning staff were professional and kind, as well. The room was two stories and was perftec for our family. Although we were there during a hot season in August and there is no air conditioning (this is pretty normal), the blackout curtains kept the room cool during the day and the large balcony doors cooled it off even more during the evening. The parking is conveniently located behind the main building and is secure, which is helpful. Finally, the location is fantastic for anyone visintg Oberammergau, Schloss Linderhof, or Garmish and the Zugspitze!

Bei alte Post denkt man alles alt, aber das Gegenteil. Modernes , bayerisches Innenleben . Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Beautiful setting wonderful restaurant, clean hotel and friendly staff.

It was very warm the last week of August. There was no air-conditioning. Coming from the United States I didn’t know that was common in Bavaria. I certainly would’ve picked air-conditioning over location had I known.

I had a very bad experience with loud music until late at night, no management available and disrespectful behavior in front of hotel employee towards me when I complaint. I would never stay there again because of this

I had the pleasure of staying in of their newly renovated studio. Clean, modern-luxurious and everything what you need present in the accommodation.

Though enough ventilation possibilities present, there’s no airconditioning. Being a studio with the sleeping part in the very top, it gets very warm up there. Airconditioning would be a very helpful add on

A törölközők szinte soha nem voltak tiszták.

Hotel und Übernachtung waren gut, die Zimmer waren sauber und gut ausgerüstet, das Bad aber auch klasse. Das Frühstück war Buffet, sehr reichhaltig und gut. Parkplatz auf dem Hof.

Im Restaurant gab es sehr lange Wartezeiten bis das Essen kam.

Empfang und Rezeption - sehr freundlich. Wenn auch bei der Abreise technische Schwierigkeiten.

Das Restaurant! Service war unterirdisch. Ich habe gefragt, wo wir sitzen können. Danach kam kein Service um uns zu begrüßen und eine Bestellung aufzunehmen. Ich musste 3x nachfragen... Essen kam dann schnell. War gut. Danach war der Service nicht mehr gesehen. Aber eine Nachfrage, ob wir noch ein Getränk wollen oder, ob alles recht ist. Nichts. Zum Zahlen musste ich auch zweimal nachfragen. Wir waren kurz davor einfach zu gehen. Dieser Service geht so gar nicht!

Das Frühstück hat uns sehr gefallen: in der vielfältigen Auswahl, den einzelnen Produkten und den Service.

Frühstück war gut. Parkplätze am Hotel kostenlos. Lage war sehr gut um Oberammergau zu erkunden und für Ausflüge nach Garmisch oder zu den Königsschlössern.

Im 4-Bett-Zimmer (genannt Maisonette Studio) hielt man es im oberen Bereich kaum aus. Selbst bei komplett geöffnetem Balkon und nur knapp 15°C Außentemperatur nachts war es oben extrem stickig und warm. Es gibt einen Deckenventilator, der aber nichts gebracht hat. Trotz gemäßigter Außentemperaturen war so kein erholsamer Schlaf möglich. Wir hatten mehrere schmutzige Handtücher. Sie waren zwar gewaschen, aber hatten u.a. noch Blutspuren von anderen Gästen, was gar nicht geht. Knapp 15€ pro Hund UND Nacht ist deutlich zu viel. In anderen Hotels zahlt man eine Reinigungspauschale für den Aufenthalt, oder es gibt Abstufungen zwischen kleinen und großen Hunden. Wir hatten zwei kleine Hunde dabei, 30€ pro Nacht einfach nur dafür dass die sauberen Hunde ein paar Stunden auf dem Boden liegen empfanden wir als übertrieben. Wir waren 6 Personen in 2 Zimmern und bereits ein paar Tage vor Check-In habe ich alle Informationen für den Check-In online ans Hotel gesendet. Am Tag der Anreise wurden wir nochmal per Mail aufgefordert alles auszufüllen, obwohl ich es schon gemacht hatten. Bei der Ankunft hieß es dann es fehlen noch Daten und die Namen wie ich sie den Zimmern zugeordnet hatte waren alles komplett durcheinander. Wofür setz ich mich hin und fülle das ganze 2mal (!) online aus, wenn dann am Ende in der Rezeption nochmal alles gemacht werden muss? In einer Klo-Rolle steckte eine Nähnadel. WAS EIN ERNSTES PROBLEM IST. Wie die dort hin kommt weiß ich nicht, das ist auch nicht meine Aufgabe als Gast es einzuschätzen! Es ist uns zwar nichts passiert, aber man möchte sich nicht ausmalen wenn man da nicht aufpasst und sich damit am empfindlichen Teil der Körpers abwischt. Als wir es bei der Rezeption gemeldet haben gab es nicht mal eine Entschuldigung, nur ein verdutztes "Was es nicht alles gibt. Hatte wir auch noch nicht." .... Und für das alles haben wir fast 500€ bezahlt... enttäuschend!

Al mio arrivo la culla per un neonato di 7 mesi non era disponibile, dopo una accesa discussione si sono accorti di non aver letto la mia richiesta di culla, e che erano terminate. Ci hanno dato un letto aggiuntivo per la notte, che per un neonato di 7 mesi è pericolosissimo. Ho pagato tramite booking 174€ per una notte( da incubo) incluso tasse e costi, alla mia partenza mi chiedono ulteriori 5€ di tasse.

Moquette sporca e cattivo odore inoltre oltre ai letti fatti anche il divano letto era aperto con lenzuola. 4 letti mentre noi eravamo in due e non potevamo usare il divano.

Super mooi hotel, vriendelijk personeel, op een super lokatie en genoeg parkeermogelijkheden.

Wij hadden een kamer met een vide en de kinderen sliepen beneden maar wij sliepen boven, met warm weer (33 graden) was het fijn geweest al er een goede ventilator aanwezig was geweest of airco. Beneden was prima te doen, maar boven was het toch best warm.

Non c'è il condizionatore!! Abbiamo patito molto caldo. Divano letto abbastanza scomodo, per non parlare dei cuscini, scomodissimi. Abbiamo cenato in hotel ma non lo consiglio, c'è di meglio con prezzi molto più abbordabili. Una cameriera del ristorante ci ha accolto in modo poco educato.

Großer Pluspunkt: nachdem wir unser Zimmer besichtigt hatten, stellten wir fest, dass eine Lüftung oder etwas ähnliches, sehr störende Geräusche verursacht. Wir fragten daraufhin den Mitarbeiter am Empfang, ob ein Zimmerwechsel möglich wäre. Es wurde uns ganz unkompliziert, nach vorheriger Prüfung ob es wirklich so laut ist in dem entsprechenden Zimmer, ein anderes Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt, das ganz unseren Wünschen entsprach. Außerdem erhielten wir gleich zu Beginn beim einchecken, eine sehr freundliche und sinnvolle Wegbeschreibung für unser Anliegen. Das Zimmer war zwar klein, aber sehr schön ausgestattet und wir waren begeistert von dem schönen und hochwertigen Holz, aus dem sowohl die Möbel, als auch teilweise die Wände gefertigt waren. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und lecker. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir fanden es richtig schade,, dass wir nur für eine Nacht gebucht hatten, und wollten darum noch verlängern, was aber nicht möglich war, weil kein Zimmer mehr frei war. Ein Hotel eigener Parkplatz war vorhanden. Alles in allem waren wir rundum zufrieden!

Einziger Minuspunkt: die Ritze im sog. Doppelbett (was aber in den meisten Hotels so ist) 😜

Die zentrale Lage, ausreichend Parkplätze, sehr gutes Frühstück. Wir haben auch Mittag-sowie Abendessen im Restaurant eingenommen und es war hervorragend. Sehr freundliche Kellner!

Es fehlen ein paar Handtuchhaken im Bad und der Toilettenpapierhalter ist nicht so gut zu erreichen. Kleinigkeiten also :)

Essendo la struttura dove ho soggiornato di recente ristrutturazione non capisco come non abbiano pensato a mettere il clima. Personalmente la prima notte abbiamo sofferto il caldo. Ventilatore zona camera da letto senza una presa dedicata. Se volevo un po' di aria dovevo staccare il cellulare dalla carica

Location is perfect for overnight, in a beautiful town and near multiple places to visit, like Alpine Coaster, Linderhof palace or Neuschwanstein castle. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Private parking is free.

Our room had two floors, with bedroom upstairs, but there was only a ceiling fan downstairs, so it was a bit hot when sleeping, unless you open the balcony door and let some mosquitos to come in.

Location was fantastic. Room was spacious, clean, and confortable. Breakfest was excellent. Staff were very good and kind. Rooms had good bathrooms with good blow dryers. Also had a table top fan that was helpful given it was a warm august day.

Rundum empfehlenswert – es stimmte einfach alles! Wir haben uns im Hotel Alte Post in Oberammergau von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, bei dem man sich direkt willkommen fühlt. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, modern eingerichtet und ausgesprochen sauber. Auch das Frühstück hat uns begeistert: eine sehr gute und vielfältige Auswahl, bei der für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei ist. Das Essen im Restaurant war ebenfalls sehr gut und hat den positiven Gesamteindruck perfekt abgerundet. Hinzu kommt die Top-Lage mitten in Oberammergau – ideal, um den Ort und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Für uns hat bei diesem Aufenthalt einfach alles gestimmt. Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Service, tollen Zimmern und guter Küche. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können die Alte Post uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

We had a truly exceptional stay. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way and offered much more than what was described when we made our booking. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully organized, and everything worked perfectly throughout our stay. The breakfast was outstanding—rich, high-quality, and exceptionally well organized, with great attention to detail. One of the most memorable features was the bathtub, which was placed inside the room and created a unique and luxurious atmosphere. The rooms inside have been renovated to a high standard. It was clear that great care had gone into every detail.

A big possibility that parking will be too occupied in the evenings (especially in high season) Balconies face parking lot (yes, I knew that before) The most upsetting thing is late evening restaurant workers (couple senior men), who were very unpleasant and unwelcoming - we read Google reviews before about restaurant and met those experiences as well. When we came and said hello to them, they were not telling us ANYTHING and just kept walking with plates and empty faces. We stand for couple minutes, were thinking if we really want such an attitude, and luckily left the place. We had an amazing dinner at s’Wirtshaus! Never ever would hire people with such an attitude.

Pænt og rent værelse. Morgenmaden var virkelig god med mange valgmuligheder. Dejlig by med butikker, og hotellet er perfekt beliggende tæt på det hele. Vi Man får meget for pengene.

V sobi ni bilo klimatske naprave - verjetno sicer zaradi zgodovinsko-kulturnih prepovedi, tako se je v zgornjem nadstropju sobe precej ogrelo in ostalo toplo, pred našim prihodom so pozabili do konca urediti sobo: na sredini nas je na tleh pričakal kup brisač od prejšnjih gostov ter poln pepelnik na balkonu

Great location, reception really helpful, clean and cosy, great food at dinner, okay breakfast. Overall really pleased with the booking.

No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. One morning the breakfast coffee machine wasn’t working. All small stuff but worth mentioning.

Die alte Post liegt sehr schön, eingebettet von alten Bäumen mitten im Ort. Es gibt viele Restaurants und Cafes, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten,Spazierwege usw. in unmittelbarer Nähe. Alles ist fußläufig schnell erreichbar. Die renovierten Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Der sehr große Balkon ist schön zum draußen sitzen. Wir sind beim Frühstücken sehr zu ormkommend und herzlich behandelt worden und auch die Dame am Checkin war sehr freundlich.

Wir hatten zwei Familienzimmer gebucht wovon nur eines renoviert war. Das andere ist wirklich sehr verwohnt. Im Gegenteil zu den neuen Zimmern ist das alte leider nicht einladend. Der Fußboden ist sehr verbraucht, die Betten sind ok. Das Bad hat die besten Zeiten hinter sich. Leider haben wir Zigarettenanfall am Boden vorgefunden - alles in allem sehr schade! Ein weiteres Problem kann in den Sommermonaten das große Fenster und die fehlende Klimaanlage sein, die Zimmer werden sehr warm und lassen sich nachts schwer kühlen.

The room. I just wasn't pleased with our room or with the way the reception handled (or rather didn't handle at all) our dissatisfaction . The picture of the room I selected on Booking.com showed a renovated modern mountain themed room, one level. The one we were given was a far cry from that. Instead, it an older two story room with a very narrow staircase leading to the main sleeping area loft where you had to choose between using the fan or watching tv. The carpet on the main floor had far too many stains on it for my comfort level. This is a beautiful hotel. This was not the ideal room.

L'albergo era proprio in centro alla bellissima cittadina di Oberammergau. Anche se abbiamo sbagliato di un giorno, la nostra camera era pronta. Era bella, lunga, pulita e ben ristrutturata. La colazione era ricca e buona e abbiamo fatto un bel giro alla mattina in paese e poi siamo andati via entro il tempo richiesto.

Il balcone era sopra il portone dell'albergo quindi era stretto e di metallo e non legno come gli altri, ma andava bene lo stesso
