We were given a wonderful room in the centre of the facade overlooking the front which hosted excitement and frivolity from the locals below on the Saturday night. A wonderful island with mainly locals when we were there, which made it special. A great place to stay for this special island. Good restaurant and bar area.

Very expensive for what is offers at EUR1000/night. For example: - Facilities mediocre (eg pool too small) - rooms too small - staff was commenting negatively on the guests and we could hear - staff didn't have a good atmosphere, looked junior and not a solid team - customers could understand issues among them - Breakfast nothing special. Eggs Benedict came once super overcooked (like hard boiled). Not enough space outside to have your breakfast for the number of guests. In some areas it was also too sunny, at 40 degrees, they need to have a proper solution.

Bina oldukça tarihi bir bina ve konumu çok güzel. Binanın kendisi de çok güzel odalar yüksek tavan benim kaldığım yarım deniz gören oda harikaydı, çok büyük değildi ama ferah

Çalışan personel kaba olmamakla beraber hiç yardımcı değildi. Sanki zoraki çalışıyorlar izlenimi veriyordu. Bunu hepsi için söyleyemem ama %80’i böyleydi

Everything. What a gem of a place. Really 5 star service. The room and bathroom were great. The hotel has been upgraded to the all creature comforts one would expect. The staff was incredibly good. Breakfast as good as it gets!!

I like everything and will make this a regular summer stop...so no complaints from me.

Purtroppo alcune delle camere al primo piano e con vista mare sono rumorose nonostante le finestre insonorizzate. Nel mio caso, è intervenuto il manager che molto gentilmente ha trovato una soluzione alternativa per me che non ero riuscita a dormire la notte prima. Davvero eccelente intervento del Direttore! Le camere nel giardino e quelle nei piani alti, molto più tranquille

Le bâtiment est très élégant, de très belles terrasses et des communs (restaurant et salons très beaux ) Spa tres efficace et sympathique, Les grooms sont efficaces et très souriants . L’emplacement sur l’île est très bon avec une magnifique vue .

La chambre , son confort , vieillissante et terriblement peu pratique , manque de place, ni stylo ni carnet, pas de livret d’accueil donc : Peu d’informations sur les services ,et surtout la salle de bain basique et minuscule , produits d’accueils de mauvaise qualité, pas de rangements , et impossibilité de dormir la nuit avec la Clim car beaucoup trop bruyante . Le buffet du petit déjeuner pour cette catégorie d’hôtel était simplement indigne , trop de produits bas de gamme et rien d’exceptionnel, pris sur une très belle terrasse et un personnel qui manque visiblement de formation pour le niveau attendu . Belle piscine mais la aussi mal gérée avec aucun service , personne ne nous a proposé de boissons sur trois jours !néanmoins des clients ont mangé et bu à la piscine , rien n’a été débarrassé durant plusieurs heures, ce n’est ni agréable ni propre. Nous avons dû prendre les serviettes directement dans une poche plastique posées sur un muret, des cartons encombrants, peu de transats… Globalement déçu par la prestation qui n’a rien à voir avec le nombre d’étoiles Toutefois le manager a été à notre écoute quand nous nous sommes plaints des prestations . Manque de sourire , de professionnalisme pour cette catégorie d’hôtel .

The hotel was very nice. The staff were all courteous and the breakfast was excellent. I loved the location.

In our room which was a deluxe partial sea view, the shower would often flood as there is no door between the shower cubicle and toilet.

Το προσωπικό ηταν ευγενικό αλλά όχι αυτο που περιμένεις για ενα τετοιο ιστορικό ξενοδοχείο! Κάναμε κρατήσεις στα εστιατόρια δεν σημείωναν καθώς και την ημέρα που ειχαν το event με ποτα στη Βεραντα θέλαμε να παραγγειλουμε και μας αγνοουσαν για ώρα! Το προσωπικό χρειάζεται εκπαίδευση!!!Επίσης γευματίσαμε τη πρωτη βραδιά στο Library και το φαγητό ήταν απαραδεκτο και πανάκριβο για comfort food τετοιας ποιότητας!Δεν ειναι ξενοδοχείο 3 αστέρων!!Η τιμή γι αυτο που πρεσφέρουν ειναι υπερβολική!

Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου είναι πολύ καλή. Το πρωινό ήταν πλούσιο, με πολλές επιλογές και πολύ εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό. Στα θετικά πρέπει να αναφερθεί και η εξαιρετική καθαριότητα όχι μόνο του δωματίου αλλά και όλου του ξενοδοχείου.

Το δωμάτιο που μας δόθηκε βρισκόταν στον πρώτο όροφο του παλιού κτηρίου ακριβώς πάνω από το bar του ξενοδοχείου. Από τις 6 το απόγευμα και μετά το δωμάτιο είχε απίστευτη φασαρία. Με κλειστά παράθυρα και πατζουρια ακούγαμε ακριβώς απο κατω καρέκλες να σέρνονται, παιδάκια να φωνάζουν, μουσική ακόμα και τον ήχο από το σέικερ από τα ποτά που ετοιμάζονταν. Φυσικά με αυτήν την φασαρία ήταν αδύνατο να κοιμηθείς και να χαλαρώσεις αν ήθελες. Η μουσική διαρκούσε ως τη 1 τη νύχτα. Διαμαρτυρηθήκαμε στη reception και ζητήσαμε αλλαγή δωματίου. Δεν είχαν άλλο δωμάτιο διαθέσιμο την ίδια μέρα και μας μεταφέραν την επόμενη μέρα σε ένα πολύ ήσυχο δωμάτιο στο καινούριο κτήριο. Είναι απαράδεκτο όταν έχεις πληρώσει πάνω από 400 ευρώ το βράδυ, να σου δίνουν ένα δωμάτιο με τόση φασαρία. Είναι κρίμα είναι τόσο ιστορικό ξενοδοχείο να θυσιάζει την φήμη του στο βωμό του κέρδους.

A magical place... We really loved everything in this hotel. The service, the structure, the details... It is really a 5 star experience. We were there in the spring, so it was also a good value for money.

Atmosfären, byggnaden, fräschören, utsikten, läget, frukosten och personalen. Allt var superbra!

Jag kan inte hitta något negativt med detta hotell. Gymmet inte så stort men funkar för kort vistelse. Allt är toppen.

Excellent location, very close to the ferry, restaurants and shops. Very good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, good size room with a great view over the ocean. It’s not cheap, but a very nice experience.

Σε μεταφέρει σε μια άλλη εποχή, ίσως και σε άλλη χώρα. Αριστοκρατικό, όλα προσεγμένα στη λεπτομέρεια. Ευγενέστατο το προσωπικό, καταπληκτικό το πρωινό, αμίμητη η βεράντα. Εντελώς τυχαία πετύχαμε το tweed run, οπότε θαυμάσαμε τα ντυσίματα, την ποδηλατάδα και το πάρτυ.

Λίγη παραπάνω προσοχή στην καθαριότητα. Όχι ότι δεν ήταν καθαρά, απλά θα περίμενα να ήταν τέλεια (που δεν ήταν) όπως τέλεια ήταν όλα τα υπόλοιπα στο ξενοδοχείο.

We travelled around and stayed at 4 different hotels during our time in Greece. I was really looking forward to staying here the most as it is such a well established property. Maybe it was end of season malaise but the experience was tainted by the poor disposition of some of the staff. Breakfast service by most of the staff was miserable. Went for drinks on the terrace one evening and ignored by 3 staff standing chatting together, we had to get up and go to them for service in the end. Zero apologies for room mix up, they blamed expedia but certainly didnt find it in their hearts to offer an apology. We would never return based on our experience unfortunately. Find an alternative boutique hotel on the island where the staff are happy to have you and want to create a memorable stay for you for the right reasons is my advice.

Location - perfect! It’s in walking distance of the port and close to the town centre. Overall a lovely hotel! Beautiful rooms. Well-cleaned. Staff are lovely and try to please guests.

Food! 1. Specifically, the sorbet. I ordered a scoop of sorbet and was surprised at the tiny scoop, (see photo), it was the smallest I’ve seen in my life! Small portion would be ok if it was good quality, but it tasted overwhelmingly rotten/mouldy. It’s unhealthy to consume mouldy food, so I alerted the waiter, who replied, “it’s sorbet”. I said I know, but this is not how sorbet tastes. She then exchanged it for lemon sorbet, which tasted better. 2. I ordered “very well-cooked, hard poached eggs” for breakfast and emphasised the special request for “well-cooked; must be firm/hard” a few times, so I was surprised to receive runny eggs served in bowl! This is the first time in my life I’ve had poached eggs served in a bowl. Most unusual. I felt like I was at a girls scout camp. The first time I sent them back to be cooked and they returned the poached eggs still undercooked and oozy when I poked one, so I gave up on the eggs. Poaching an egg should be a simple achievement for a five star hotel in Greece. No pool service 3. There is no pool service, so after a few hours my glass attracted insects. It would be nice if they removed dirty glasses at the pool. 4. At one time, the pool was overcrowded with unsupervised young kids dive-bombing and splashing adult guests trying to rest and relax. It was disturbing, unpleasant and not conducive with the atmosphere. This type of behaviour felt like I was at an overcrowded family resort in Greece, which I avoid on my holiday. 5. Most of the time there were no pool towels in the container, so guests had to go to reception to request towels. This was an unusual experience at a five star hotel. I agree with a reviewer’s comment that staff need training in five star hotel service. A few of the normal expectations were missing because the staff simply didn’t know what’s normal and expected. The Poseidon hotel is advertised as a five star hotel so that attract guests with certain expectations.

One of the hotels that conquered my heart ! Returning for many years and will keep doing it :) Fantastic atmosphere that makes you feel like warm ,welcoming home. Super staff- that became friends, fantastic breakfast with superior breathtaking view. One of a life time experience that makes you to come back yearly :)

The front desk and concierge were fantastic! The bell staff and housekeeping were amazing! However the breakfast was pretty average and staff needs an upgrade.

Everything was wonderful, the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well. The only thing that needs improvement is the temperature control and lack of enough air conditioning. The thermostat only goes to 18°C and then goes back to 19° by itself. The room never got cool enough. Also, there weren’t really enough towels for 2 people (so we asked for more) and no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels. Otherwise everything was fantastic!

The best hotel in spetses! Excellent location, good rooms, fantastic breakfast, and very, very good service. The concierge ladies go above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our state was perfect.

Fantastic hotel signature for the island of Spetses. Breakfast is marvellous with traditional ingredients in the veranda overlooking the bay and the Peloponnese coast across served until 11:00am. Swimming pool at the garden was amazing with warm water. Could walk easily to anywhere in the town of spetses.

Restaurant staff attitudes were shocking and unacceptable , highly recommend staying at this hotel but would recommend eating off premises , staff in urgent need of training or being discharged, very bad experience two days varied staff , 40 minutes wait for poached egg and avocado on dry toast and the restaurant was not busy, waiter at restaurant was very rude and arrogant, still very surprised had taken two couples on my recommendation,

The stuff was so so obnoxious! From the restaurant to breakfast area. too much arrogance, badly knowing English and no willingness to help and serve the guest. Only in beauty salon the girl from reception was very very helpful

The hotel breakfast/lobby/architecture/presentation etc is truly magnificent. Unfortunately the room had a very noisy old aircon unit. Same with the safe. The room wasn't at the level as the rest of the property. It’s unfortunate as the property is very very special indeed!

Everything about my stay was exceptional — the room was spotless and comfortable, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the hotel had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely superb, with a great variety of fresh options. I also appreciated the convenient location and peaceful surroundings. I will definitely be returning!

Hotel did not honor my booking which was a room with a balcony, despite my bringing it up to management. Service less than desirable! A lovely property but disturbed by noise from motorcycles and kids running around in front of hotel at later hours.
