Finding affordable lodging in Venice during the Biennale and Film Festival felt almost impossible, but Hotel Al Malcanton was a total lifesaver. Given how inflated prices were across the city, this place offered incredible value for money. The room is compact, but it's very well-kept, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable short stay. The location is ideal, an easy, convenient walk to both Piazzale Roma and Venezia Santa Lucia train station, yet nestled in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood away from the noise. Best of all, there are fantastic, authentic restaurants nearby that don't feel like tourist traps. If you're looking for a clean, peaceful, and fairly priced base to explore Venice, I highly recommend staying here!

Location was in a nice quiet area and only about a 10 min walk from the train station. Staff were helpful and gave us recommendations/things to see and ways to get around. Room was spacious and had everything we needed.

Definitely one of the best stays. The owner and staff are very friendly, immediately gave us tips on where to start sightseeing. We could leave our luggage before check-in. Our room was cozy and spacious. The view from the balcony was amazing and straight to a canal. We didn’t have time for breakfast but it sure did look delicious and varied.

Quizás la habitación era muy chica pero al ser un lugar que uno está todo el tiempo afuera recorriendo no importa tanto. Todo espectacular, recomiendo el hotel.

Non posso dirlo dato che alla fine non abbiamo potuto soggiornare in questa struttura anche se avremmo voluto con piacere. Abbiamo avuto un problema non previsto e non siamo partiti.

Venezia è una delle città più visitate al mondo perché è bellissima. Ogni volta che abbiamo prenotato l'abbiamo fatto con grande anticipo perché le strutture di riempiono in fretta. Averci addebitato comunque le 2 notti mi pare sia stata una furbata ma vabbè, perdoniamo proprio per la grande bellezza di Venezia.

Clean, comfy room on the first floor. Great location in a quiet area, close to Santa Lucia station (10 minute walk) and 25-30 minute on foot from St.Mark's Square. Great value for money.

Pokój bardzo ładny i czysty, miły personel, lokalizacja blisko dworca i bezproblemowy kontakt z obsługą. Śniadania były smaczne ale niezbyt zróżnicowane. Pobyt bardzo udany.

Heel goede ligging, op wandelafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en een fijne uitleg bij aankomst. De kamer heeft een authentieke Italiaanse uitstraling en de airco werkte uitstekend, wat midden augustus erg welkom was.

Het ontbijt is wat eenvoudig en had voor ons iets gevarieerder en verser mogen zijn. De badkamer is wat verouderd, maar alles was netjes en functioneel. De dame bij het ontbijt is trouwens bijzonder vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken.

Tiday, had air conditioning which was much needed and a beautiful courtyard. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, pointing us in the right direction for food and drinks. Really thoughtful!

Water pressure for the shower is nonexistent.

It was a quaint, unassuming little boutique hotel in an area close to the train station and all the stores and things to do in Venice. There was free Italian breakfast, which included cappuccino. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The front desk even gave me a map of Venice and explained where everything was, and how to get there. It greatly exceeded my expectations considering I booked blindly online in a foreign city.

Al reservar no quedaba claro que no nos quedábamos en el hotel, sino en un anexo. Eso debe aclararse, son dos sitios que no son similares y queríamos el hotel y tuvimos el otro . El desayuno no merece la pena. Mejor desayunar fuera. Es demasiado caro para lo que hay. La habitación es sólo ok

Check in und Ankunft außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten sehr unkompliziert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Die Location ist sehr ruhig gelegen in einem Innenhof und doch sehr zentral.

Es gab nur Wolldecken und Bettlaken, keine richtigen klassischen Bettdecken.

L’établissement est d’une propreté impeccable, climatisé, décoration soignée, idéalement situé proche de la gare à 6 minutes il me semble ce qui évite de devoir prendre le bateau avec les valises quand on arrive. Davide nous a permis de garder nos bagages en avance le temps de réception de la chambre car nous sommes arrivés tôt, je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés et le recommanderais autour de moi.

A very friendly, quiet hotel. Easy to get to and easy to get to all the attractions. Slightly away from the centre which made it quiet. Room very clean and no request is too much for them. This was my 3rd stay at this hotel and I would definitely go there again.

The room was a nice size, bigger than I expected. The location was quiet but there were plenty of restaruants and shopping close by. Breakfast was good, there was a table ready and set for us each morning. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

One wall of the room seem to have a smell of mold.

The soundproof isn’t that great. But if you can sleep through small noise, then all good.

The hotel is in a quiet courtyard area off the main streets of Venice. It was perfect to get away from the crowds. It is close enough to the train station to walk with luggage and it also puts you close enough to comfortably walk to all of the major attractions.

Breakfast service was perfect. Small but enough. Room was clean and was what was described. The person who checked us in gave us a map and described in detail the various sites across Venice which was very helpful.

We had no problems with this property.

It seems like the hotel has been recently renovated, it felt like a brand new one! Comfy beds with outlets beside it, comfy pillows and clean towels every morning if you ask them to. Close to the central train station!

For the price i guess it would be fair breakfast included! That's the only negative thing i can thing about the hotel

I chose the property because it was close to the Piazzale Roma and it was perfectly located in a quiet side street. I loved walking round the area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was really clean and had everything I needed.

Fantastic location and great staff. We missed breakfast but it sounded amazing. This was actually the best ac we experienced in Venice and were so happy to have the extra cool room.

Un albergo molto accogliente e comodo da raggiungere dalla stazione Santa Lucia. Ottimo quartiere tranquillo con tanti locali intorno. Camera molto comoda e spaziosa con tutto il necessario, anche un piccolo bollitore con the e caffe da preparare in camera. Ottima colazione. Tutto il personale molto gentile. Per arrivare a San Marco ci vogliono circa 30 min - una bellissima passeggiata panoramica tra i canali. Grazie mille!

The property was clean, and in a good location, easy instructions to get in and get access to the room. Limited options for breakfast but enough to eat before heading out.

We had come in a family group and the other family members of our party had a different experience than us. They left their honest review on the experience and a man (the owner perhaps?) was upset and spoke to all of us very rudely even though it wasn’t us that left the negative review. Before this incident we had a positive experience. We wish the man had approached us differently.
