Great hotel, Brian made sure everything was arranged for us and even kept the kitchen open a little late so we could have food after our late arrival.
The Hotel staff were great for check in. There was a computer Error that I booked a room for 2 but the error was booked under a single room. The staff nicely sorted it out and made a room for myself and my child. Absolutely brilliant. Room was clean and tidy and comfortable. There was a staff member in the bar at 11pm that was so angry with me for no need. I only asked him if he could pour 7up from a big bottle into the wine like the daytime bar staff did. Instead he sold me a small bottle of wine and a small bottle of 7up and said u have to pay for what you get and that’s what you ordered but in an angry tone of voice. It must of bein the late night, Saturday staff
I had a really Nice stay at the ring of Kerry Nice and quiet room Grimly and helpful staf
Amazing
Great value for money and friendly staff
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
We did not stay, we left as it was not what the pictures stated and it was unclean and very run down.
We didn't like the room as it was ground floor but they very quickly changed us to another room. We didn't get clean towels and there was a bag of dirty towels outside the room. We had to ask twice to get clean towels, they probably just forgot the first time. Very friendly, obliging staff.
I travel a LOT and I've never seen staff members to be in such a rush to get rid of the guest (!!!)all the way from check-in to check-out! Cant say they were rude but not friendly and I didnt feel welcome at all! Room was very clean, good neighborhood with good enough shops around. The cooked breakfast was nice though the whole setting wasnt impressive for a hotel!
Great location, good hotel, nice breakfast 😊
Wifi sucked in room, however was good at bar/Restaurant side.
Punches well above it’s weight in terms of amenity, service provision and location. We had one full day to see the sights and Susan gave us a good steer to maximise our time to see Valentia Is, Portmagee and the Skellig Ring. Also, the bathroom had a great spa bath which worked a treat and the food and bar service were great. Parking out front was no problem.
Very good atmosphere staff very welcoming and helpful Room very clean lovely breakfast You can't beat the Kerry people when it comes to hospitality
Convenient location on the ring of Kerry outside of the port area. Bar food was great
Lovely hotel.great food and amazing staff. Its a must visit hotel if going to kerry.
Favourite part was the chef prepared a birthday cake for my wife after they had finished a party of 100 and the kitchen was closed. He not only took the time to get a slice of delicious chocolate cake but he wrote Happy birthday in drizzled chocolate and dressed it up with fresh berries and a candle. Made my wife feel like a queen. This is obviously best place in town.
`Great location, great value for money hotel
Solid, reliable hotel on the main road at the west end of Cahersiveen. Reasonably priced restaurant and bar on site. The rooms are at the back of the property, so there is no noise from the road, but still the view was quite good. The price was very fair for this area, and booking conditions flexible. I'll be back.
Good size room, but smelt of old cooking oil throughout. The restaurant area was greasy as well.
A nice hotel, very friendly and convenient for me travelling on business.
Nice hotel at a fair price with a wonderful inclusive breakfast. My only problem was the WiFi didn’t work. Maybe this was just a temporary problem
The location was perfect for us. The staff was helpful and courteous. The Seafood Chowder in their restaurant was AMAZING!! The WIFI was not very good in our room but fine in the restaurant....
The staff here were excellent from the first impression to the moment I checked out. The food offered was good and worth the time to stay in and eat there. It’s and easy walk to the shops on the Main Street and having a grocery store across the street was great. I would stay here again if ever in the area.
Pleasant location, comfortable rooms and excellent food. Very popular for dining with the locals and seems to be the bar of choice for many of them. You can't accuse Ring of Kerry Hotel of being luxurious, but it was more than acceptable. My biggest problem here was wi-fi access, which did not work on arrival, despite several attempts by management to reboot the system. I was told the rooms at the end of the corridor were sometimes liable to service interruptions, and if it didn't work by the second day they had a room to move me into. Luckily one of the younger staff took the problem into her own hands, and had me up and running a couple of hours later. I was connected from then until the end of my stay. I believe the manager was as relieved as I was. It is obvious they cared about the welfare of their guests - a truly Irish sense of being welcome.
Check in was pleasant but I wasn’t asked if I needed help with bags. There’s no elevator! Dinner was very nice and the service was very good. Electricity went out 8.30 and it came sometime after midnight . I was disappointed and surprised that nobody contacted me or other guests to know if we needed anything.
It is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. It has a large comfortable bedroom with all the amenities I needed. The receptionist was courteous and very helpful.
No lamp shade in bedroom - just bare bulbs. Took ages to check out as there was no one on the desk.
Good hotel on the Ring of Kerry relatively close to Skelligs tours. Friendly staff hooked me up with an early morning taxi for my tour out of Portmagee.
The hotel was pleasant. Close to town for meals and restaurant/bar at hotel. Morning breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room.
Very friendly, attentive staff. Nice breakfast, good location.
I stayed while doing some work in the area. A straightforward, comfortable place that fit the bill.
Very good value for money. Located on the edge of the village so you can walk out the door turn left and have the most amazing views. Local shop just across the road which is convenient. Hotel staff are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast is great but they could have done with an extra staff member to speed things up. Restaurant is good value and quality food.
No Wi Fi in room only in the lobby although advertised as such. Escalated to desk twice with a shrug and little concern. Hotel itself was adequate. Aging, but clean.
A very bland hotel which is comfortable enough but showing signs of wear and tear. Staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was pretty good. The place was almost empty the night we stayed so I do wonder why we were given a room whose only window looked out onto the gas bottles and a corner of a wall. It felt slightly overpriced at € 120.
Had a lovely staff here. Room.waa very comfortable - slept great in the big king size bed. Had lovely food in the bar. Would def stay here again.
Excellent place to stay
Staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast was great.
Nice spot to stop. Quiet rooms with basic necessities. Excellent staff very helpful. Good food at attached restaurant. Free wifi
It's been fantastic! I really enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and thoughtful. I will recommend to all the people who want to stay around.
A real find The location atmosphere and facilities were excellent Food was great
We stayed here on a Tuesday night so the hotel was relatively quiet. All of the staff we met throughout our stay were extremly friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size and the bathroom had all the necessary items including a powerful shower. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was on par with expensive restaurants I have visited, if I lived closer I would visit this hotel for dinner regularly. However the breakfast the following morning was a disappointment, it was a buffet and the food tasted like it had been sitting for sometime. As the hotel was quiet a breakfast cooked to order would have made more sense. Apart from the breakfast this hotel was superb and I would definitly recommend it to friends and family.
Hotel needs updating. Room was disappointing. Hotel service was great as for the food.
I liked staying at this Hotel very much, it was quiet convienant and not very expensive
Great Hotel for the price very friendly people
Comfortable clean hotel with friendly staff. Good food available. Hotel located within walking distance of the town and restaurants with plenty of on site parking. Ideal base for touring Ring of Kerry and ferry to Valencia Island only a few kilometres from hotel. Would stay there again as base for touring in the area and the rates are reasonable.
Good hotel and excellent, friendly staff.
Enjoyable stay, food in the restaurant was amazing, staff were polite and friendly however even though it was a Saturday night and we were residents we were told quite rudely by the barman at 11:40pm that we were not getting another drink as he was closing to go home. We were quite shocked to have been treated like that and left to go to town. On our return he was still there and said he was on for the night. Shame as everything and everyone else was a pleasure.
Convenient location , offers all that's required for an overnight business visit. Friendly staff.
Most staff excellent. One very abrubt. Tv remote was missing. I reported it to reception. She was dealing with it. Another staff member butted in and suggested i chase after the cleaning staff and see if they it. I told him it was not my job to the hotels job and recetion was dealing with it. But he insisted. I walked away.
Very friendly helpful staff.
