I chose this w/o knowing what to expect. Needed a place for 2 nights to be close to family. Small town atmosphere which had a great ladies store walking distance. The Hotel itself had great food and many patrons were eating on the patio on Saturday afternoon. The diningroom was busy w locals inside as well in the evening. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast for 15 euro was good value. The only thing we didnt like was the bed cover was too heavy and extra pillow choices would be better too.

De bedden waren goed en het was er lekker stil. De vloerbedekking was erg oud en smoezelig. In de badkamer schimmelplekken en er lag een tandenborstel van de vorige gasten?!! Tegels vensterbank los. Erg gedateerd, de kamer mag zeker een opfrisbeurt krijgen. Prijs was nogal hoog.

Voor de nostalgie hier weer eens gelogeerd. Een hotel dat vroeger hoog aangeschreven stond. De kamer die ik als persoon alleen boekte was niet bepaald een feest. De staat van de kamer nogal verouderd. Sanitair gedateerd en waarschijnlijk niet meer goed schoon te krijgen. Vloerbedekking wat sleets en stoffig. Beddengoed gelukkig fris en strak gedekt.

Na een verkeerde start, waarbij we eerst onvoldoende informatie kregen om onze fietsen te parkeren en we daarna de trap naar de eerste etage niet konden vinden, met alle frustratie van dien, moeten we eerlijk toegeven dat dit een goed hotel is. De kamers zijn prima, ruim en schoon, het ontbijt was compleet. Een beetje training van het personeel waardoor de klant zich meer gast voelt, zou dit tot een top hotel maken. Zou ik weer gaan, ik denk het niet, er zijn echt betere hotels waar ons meer op ons gemak zouden voelen

De kamer is gedateerd. Heel slecht dat er geen deur is voor de badkamer. Geen waterkoker/ Nespresso aanwezig. Bedden waren heel fijn en een goed ontbijt.

das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Zimmer sauber . Die Matratzen waren ebenfalls gut !! Parken war kein Problem !!

Very bad and smelly room. I booked for queen size bed but got two single beds. at the reception they girl said it's not my fault and that the other colleague alloted queen bed room to somebody else. how is this possible? i should get what i book/pay for. then they said we give you an upgarde but i dd see what the upgrade was. i got a smelly room with two sigle beds without even any water or kettle. and at checkout they messed up with the invoice too! the lady was not able to make a proper invoice I had to leave and ask them to send me invoice from other more collegaues who now how it works. Never again!

Mærkelig indretning af værelser hvor toilet og bad var i hvert sit rum og fra badet ingen dør i men åben direkt ud til soverummet!!! og så kan man ikke i Holland lave sprød Bacon til morgenmaden :-) det er en omgang kogt Bacon

Prima hotel met goed en enthousiast personeel.

The room was spacious and breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was ample parking space. The only slight negative was people smoking sitting in the terrace area just outside the hotel entrance.

Prima hotel met een goed bed en dito douche. Het is iets gedateerd maar mag de pret niet drukken De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk. Zal zeker weer terug komen als ik in de buurt moet zijn.

best gelegen , overal toegankelijk voor een rolstoel eventueel , goede bediening maar een beetje meer koekjes , weinig keuze qua koekjes, lekkere koffie . Vriendelijk onthaal ; we hadden wel een verrassing verwacht op de kamer of een kleine espresso op de kamer of een fles wijn met glazen zoals bij onze vrienden die elders logeerde die dag. Als we zouden terugkomen dan nemen we wel een grotere kamer . Spijtig hadden we de tijd niet om er te dineren maar we hebben wel een lekker gebak geproefd . Bedankt voor een fijn verbijf in het hotel.

Mensen waren aardig.

Medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk en bereidwillig. De bar bleef langer voor mij open, toen ik daar 's avonds om half 10 kwam. Aardig. Goed ontbijt. Bed een beetje hard en weinig ventilatie op de kamer.

Gedateerd hotel

Is wat gedateerd maar prima voor 1-2 overnachtingen. De meeste die me hielpen was Leuk personeel. Heel lekker gegeten , ruim parkeer gelegenheid. Wifi is een dikke onvoldoende en mijn kamer raam kon niet voldoende ver open. Al met al dus een 50/50 ...aan de positieve kant

De kamer had geen airco. Als het raam open stond was er overlast van het geluid van de airco van de begane grond van het hotel.

Ein kleiner Geheimtipp würde ich sagen, es waren schon viele bekannte Persönlichkeiten dort. Rustikal aber trotzdem modern und von Deutschland aus ein Katzensprung in diesen kleinen tollen Ort. Die Leute sind freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Plat gesteld: oude meuk. Nodig aan restauratie toe, slaapkamer zeer summier. Douche met douchegordijn, vloerbedekking met vlekken, niet heel fijn. personeel en ontbijt waren ok, maar dit was voor mij 1 keer en nooit weer.

Geen ventilatie mogenlijkheid (raam open of raam dicht geen mogenlijkheid om raam op kier te vergrendelen

Het was een goed verblijf voor een weekend. Voor de prijs heel netjes, vriendelijk personeel.

De gehele uitstraling vd kamers en gangen/ eetzaal is wat oubollig. Persoonlijk zou ik het stap voor stap wat moderner maken.

Es ist ein einfaches Hotel, bei dem die Zimmer einfach ausgestattet sind. Es gibt auf den Zimmern keine Klimaanlage und das Bad ist meist nicht auf dem allerbesten Stand. Das Restaurant ist recht git

Een deel van het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een andere deel was zeer geonterresseerd. Misschien lag dat aan de onderbezetting , maar dat geldt toch voor iedereen. De keuken viel zeer tegen.

Aan het hotel is kenbaar gemaakt, dat de kamer aan de uiterst krappe kant, slechts 1 stoel. Ook het ontbreken van een degelijke lounge, om een boek of krant te lezen ontbreekt.

I am staying on this hotel for 13 nigths!!! And the room single room was awfully nasty!!!! The shower dosent work properly hardly any water come through. Never change my bed in 13 days!!! Hardly never got Hoover my room, the toilet was a terrible smell sence the first day I walk in!!!! I will never stay here again!!!! After I pay a lot of money to stay here!! So please becarefull!!!

We arrived for a short business trip. We arrived late and left early so there's a limit to what we can say. Unfortunately the hotel closes at 2300, and we arrived after that. Therefore it was a bit dark and closed looking - not really what you want after a long day of travel. However, there was an intercom at the door, and someone buzzed us in. They had left our room keys out ready for us. Note to self - we should have called beforehand and let them know we were arriving late. The room was fine. No minibar though, (not even a bottle of water). After a long day it would have been nice to be able to have a small drinkie before bed. Not an option. The breakfast was also fine - not the greatest selection in the world, but sufficient. Staff (such as we saw) were efficient and friendly enough. I'd stay here again if in the area, but if I was arriving later than 2230 I'd ring ahead.

Lovely hotel with nice clean rooms.

From Australia for family visit in difficult circumstances. Chose the Rode Leeuw as walking distance to amenities and train plus restaurant attached. Very clean and tidy hotel. Beds comfortable and plenty room enough for two. Good water pressure in the shower, open bathroom design with separate toilet. Good secure wifi. Very nice typical continental breakfast with quality and selection of cold meats and cheeses and excellent selection fresh breads / rolls / croissants. Scrambled and soft boiled eggs plus delicious bacon also. Cereals available though we didn't try. Excellent coffee and selection quality tea. At dinner in the restaurant / brasserie twice, service good meals very nice.

Had one night stay. Was there with a friend and was going to a concert in town. Good service, nice atmosphere. The room was nice and clean.

The rooms are very narrow, the bed linen is changed four days, the reception is very unfriendly plus the elevator is disrupted the only thing good is the breakfast because it is served in another hotel

leuk hotel en prima kamers en parkeergelegenheid, het enige wat misschien miste was een lift omdat we nogal veel zware bagage bij ons hadden was dat lastig de trap op dragen.

Clean rooms and good speed wifi . Normal breakfast , what you can expect , not more . Hot in the summer time , no ac in the rooms . A update will do the trick . Outside at dinner is very nice in the evenings .

Good hotel with some vintage furniture and artifacts. Be prepared for breakfast, where 1 shift woman can ignore your qurstions if she is looking in different direction :) Leftovers of grape were laying with the same fruits for at least 5 days.

The hotel is located on the Main Street and is in a beautiful brick house. The entire hotel and even the room has a vintage, kitsch feel which is unique. The room is big for European standard and is comfortable. The hotel restaurant has a decent menu with large portions and the staff is polite. Overall, the place is charming and will make you feel like you travelled back in time.

We arrived after a very windy day out riding. Our room was not very big but enough space for us to unpack our things. The WiFi was working and running at a good speed. As the hotel is very central it is just a short walk to the nearest supermarket, which we did. We stayed for two nights and found the hotel staff to be very friendly and chatty. The food was excellent.

Six of us got together for lunch, one from Terborg, one from Varsseveld, two from Vlaardingen, one from Carcavelos in Portugal and myself from St. Catharines. Sitting on the terrace in nice weather, with good food and prompt service, it was a pleasant get-together.

We had chosen the hotel for its location, price and car park. Getting the best deal was a bit tricky as it appeared after having booked directly that there was a very good B&B offer including a three-course dinner on the first night to be had via one of the Dutch package offers website. We were able to cancel and get the offer booked. I have to admit, it wasn't the best of first impressions... The staff on arrival were super friendly and we actually had dinner that first evening as well. The main course was fish, but without any hassle it was changed to a great steak main. The breakfast buffet is very well laid out and there is truly something for everybody's taste; I recommend to have breakfast included in your rate! We had an issue with the invoice on departure, but again the staff were very efficient and friendly when dealing with that and sorting it out. We will definitely stay here again when visiting this region. No, it is not modernly furnished in the bar and restaurants, but that is what gives it a great ambiance. It has a great terrace which unfortunately we didn't get time to utilize on this visit. The room we stayed in was recently refurbished and although the lamps were way too big for our liking and we would rather have had a double bed instead of twin beds, it was just right for our needs. The only negative thing would be that whoever designed the bathroom clearly didn't think where to put the shower in relation to the shower door or where to put your toiletries!

I stayed here for 3 nights, business trip and booked a basic single room. The room was functional, no frills but served it's purpose. During my stay i used the restaurant and terrace for drinks and dinner. A nice selection of dishes including Schnitzel, steaks, cod, sea bass. Probably ate too much over the three days but only had one dessert, the raspberry cheesecake, delicious. I had plenty of time to drinks coffee and do some work on the pavement cafe seating, chilled out. Tables have a buzzer to call for service or the bill. On Wednesday evening a ladies choir was performing on the square, just across the road from the Roode Leeuw (Red Lion), quite charming. I recommend the hotel and restaurant but suggest pay for a better room. Wifi was reasonable in all areas of the hotel

I stayed at this hotel for business reasons for 6 nights. I I can honestly say I was very disappointed with the stay for the folioing reasons. The restaurant stopped serving food at 9pm and I was returning from work at 8.45pm each evening so this was an inconvenience. Also there was no bottled water, fridge or way of making a hot drink for myself or any kind of drink in my room so even when I bought supplies from a local store I could not chill my water etc. There is no room service what so ever...full stop none. On the last night of my stay I got to the restaurant at 8.45pm and decided to order a coffee and some crepes from the dessert menu. My coffee arrived after about a 10 minute wait and then 30 minutes later still no dessert. I caught the attention of a waitress and she said she would go and check. She returned telling me she was very sorry they had forgotten about my order and were doing it now. 15 minutes later a dessert arrived, it was now 9.30pm and to make matters worse it was the wrong dessert. I couldn't be bothered to say anything I was just glad to have finally received something. Then the rooms..... mine was a comfort room, it was ok. However I was alarmed when I checked in at 8.45pm at night and they gave me my key and I headed off to my room. Next thing I know I arrive at my room and the receptionist arrives just behind me puffing and panting out of breath. I asked her if I had forgotten something at check in, she said "no I just want to check your room is clean" CLEAN!! Its nearly 9pm at night and I am checking in its a little late to check now. So she takes my keys off me and goes into the room ahead of me and then gives me the all clear to come in. However this alarm bell all became clear when I can honestly say that my room was only cleaned the first TWO nights of my stay! The last 4 days of my stay I returned from work to find my room had not been serviced or cleaned at all. The room overall is basic and the beds are comfy but I stayed a Saturday night as part of my stay and the room next door was very loud and noisy till at least 2am. So overall as you can see I don't really have a lot of positives to feedback on from my stay. The highlight of my stay was that there was a super market near by that I could by bottled water from and a lovely coffee bar and Ice Cream parlour within walking distance that I could escape too each evening for an hour or so before bed. The hotel room window didn't open so it made me crave some fresh air after a long day at work and I hated being stuck in the room with the window locked shut. The only reason I would stay here again with work is the location and the amenities within walking distance and the actual little town of Terborg is lovely. Very pretty to take a stroll around. I am sure that this was just a unusually bad experience as the rest of the reviews are positive I think I just got unlucky!

The rooms are with acceptable sizes. Great beds and no noise from the street or other rooms nearby. The location is perfect. You will find great restaurants within walking distance. The hotel personal is very friendly and service minded.

Stay here for the third time now . The rooms and Toilets are clean , rooms good for business, wifi available etc.. Breakfast spread is good and we always eat as there is little else in Terborg. Nearby there are a 4 super markets , Incase you need anything . Staff very friendly and attentive.

Enjoyed the stay. Very fresh , clean hotel with friendly service. The food was also very good. Would certainly use it again.small town very quite. The hotel had an interesting decor with many antiques.

In the area for a business meeting and booked into this small and friendly hotel.The location is in the centre of town with plenty of car parking facilities. Great traditional hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Food was really good and a varied choice at the continental breakfast. Room basic but everything you'd expect. Good wifi, clean and plenty of towels and toiletries. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Perfect nights sleep and if I was in this area of Holland again ,I would certainly stay here again.

Great traditional hotel, with some fairly quirky features. Carpet on the tables being the most obvious! Apparently this is a Dutch tradition. Okay! Food was really good, and served in heavily decorated dining room covered (literally) in old portraits and tableaux... actually pretty cool. 3 different sets of stairs lead to some confusion after trapist beers. Rooms basic but everything you'd expect. Good wifi, clean etc. Overall, not your usual bland chain hotel. In there and enjoy the carpet!

Väldigt serviceinriktad personal gör att rummets spartanska utformning fungerar. Wifi tillgängligt via T-mobile för en tilläggskostnad, bra täckning gör att det går utmärkt att jobba via detta nätverket. Helt ok frukost, varken mer eller mindre. Tyvärr hade jag inte chans att testa restaurangen innan läggdax, men med tanke på personalens trevliga bemötande har jag svårt att tro att den skulle vara dålig.
