Really central and nicely appointed rooms

No parking available, or reduction on public parking price (it meant an extra CHF20 per night). Room was a bit small, especially for the price.

The location of the hotel was excellent and offered exceptional views. Included breakfast was very good and it was nice to eat outside with good weather.

It was very difficult to locate where breakfast was and when we arrived, they were not able to accommodate 4 people allowing us to sit together. Checkout could have been a tad faster.

Absolut geniales Hotel! Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an extrem wohl gefühlt 🥰 Vielen Dank noch einmal! Das komplette Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam 👍 Das leckere und reichhaltige Frühstück direkt am See, ein weiterer Pluspunkt 😊 Sichere Parkmöglichkeit welche zu Fuss sehr gut erreichbar ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 👍

Lage zwei Schritte an die Seepromenade

Gartenzimmer mit Sicht irgendwohin, aber nicht in einen Garten. Nur improvisierter Platz für Velo. Tor zur Strasse stand immer wieder offen.

Top Lage, freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet. Die Klimaanlage war für die sommerlichen Temperaturen sehr angenehm. Das Frühstück direkt am See war top.

Die Lage ist perfekt an der Seepeomenade von Ascona gelegen, die Zimmer sind nicht allzu gross aber sehr schön und sauber. Wir hatten eines mit Seeblick bestellt, das hat sich gelohnt. Das hauseigene Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und vielfältig und am See zu frühstücken ist bombastisch.

Proximity to the sights; peaceful; wonderful view to the hills and church towers (my room was nr 15, at Vista 11). Bed was very comfy, amenities were great. Brekkie the next day was tasty, spread and variety good.

Schöne gut ausgestattete Zimmer, gute Lage. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in einem Haus direkt hinter der Promenade, was sehr ruhig und schön gelegen war. Sehr schönes Angebot beim Frühstück

Es war wunderbar... Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Fester zum Hinterhof und ohne Balkon. Da das Wetter traumhaft war hat uns dies jedoch nicht gestört, da wir immer draussen waren. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Personal super freundlich und beim Frühstück hatte es eine gute Auswahl, sogar für laktosefreies Joghurt wurde gesorgt. Da wir im Vorfeld unser 10 jähriges angegeben haben, hatten wir bei der Ankunft sogar eine schöne Zimmer Deko mit Rosenblüten erhalte .. einfach wunderschön wie auf die Gäste eingegangen wird! Wir werden sicher wieder hier buchen.

Die Lage, dass ich in ein Doppelzimmer mit Balkon wechseln konnte mit Aufzahlung. . Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer tip top! Doch der unangenehme röhrende Strassenbläser war nervig alle 3 Morgen damit zu erwachen! Die grosse Hitze zwang uns das Fenster offen zu haben. Die 3. Nacht verbrachte ich im selben Zimmer ( mit Aufpreis!) Danke ich werde es trotzdem weiter empfehlen der Lage wegen ! Danke mit freundlichem Gruss Gisela Burri

Muito bem localizado, na orla do lago, em zona de pedestre, mas com possibilidade de carregar e descarregar o carro, se for o caso, à porta do hotel. Acomodação confortável, um excelente café da manhã e funcionários simpáticos e muito prestativos. Chamo somente a atenção para a questão de ser “com vista para o lago”. Convém esclarecer antes da reserva se é de frente ou apenas uma vista lateral.

Neuer Teil vom Hotel ist schön, Restaurant direkt am Ufer sehr gut, Nettes Personal, sehr feine Pizza gegessen. Hotelzimmer ist in Ordnung, Sicht auf See super. ABER.... siehe nicht gefallen....

Die Aussicht auf den See ist zwar schön, steht für mich aber nicht ganz im Verhältnis zum hohen Preis. Auch wenn es 1. August war (2 Nächte 2 Personen fast CHF 800 ohne Frühstück) "Jä nu waren freiwillig dort." Der Direktpreis vom Hotel wäre etwas besser gewesen laut Hotel.

O quarto era agradável e a cama super confortável, o ar condicionado salvou a nossa vida pois estava muito calor na rua. O pequeno-almoço tinha uma ótima variedade de escolha e está bem localizado para uma vista para o lago. O staff todo era super simpático e educado.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker.

Die Türe der Dusche war nicht ganz abgedichtet unten und der Boden nicht zum Abfluss hin abeschrägt. Wir hatten danach eine riesige Pfütze im Badezimmer.

Közel van a tó és nagyon csendes a szoba, pedig az utcákon nagyon sokan vannak főleg éjszaka, de a hangszigetelés kiváló. Ár-érték arányban kitűnő, megéri.

A parkolással már vannak gondok, 800m-re a szállástól tudtunk csak leparkolni, idősebbeknek nehézkesebb nem túl komfortos.

We stayed here previously in 2024. Since then the owners have renovated some rooms (designated as 'superior') to include new furnishings, air conditioning and additional amenities to their standard rooms. This was the room type we stayed in. The hotel is a short walk away from the Ascona Centro bus stop. The hotel sits right on the lake waterfront and from our room the balcony provided amazing views over the lake, mountains and waterfront. The street between the hotel and the lake is mainly pedestrianised, with most space given over to outdoor seating for restaurants and cafes. If you have the balcony doors open this gives rise to a fair amount of street noise up until about 10pm. In our case we loved the atmosphere this provided but if you want quiet, the balcony doors when closed will render the room almost silent. Bed was large and very comfortable. Bathroom has shower only but it was a good one - efficient with no shortage of hot water. Air conditioning was effective at cooling the room even in the +34 degree heat we had during our stay. Massive quality TV with 400+ international channels via satellite. The hotel provided us with with a Ticino pass which gave free bus and train travel throughout the Ticino area for the duration of our stay and discounts on museum and boat tickets. Very convenient and useful. The lake boat service stops right outside the hotel making it very easy to visit the Brissago islands and other places around the lake. Near the hotel are two supermarkets and a wide variety of boutique shops, bars and restaurants. Hotel is partnered with a couple of local eateries located right outside which provides guests with a 10% discount on their bills. One of them, the Al Pontile, is particularly recommended. We ate there several times during our stay and the food and service were excellent. Staff were polite and efficient. Room service replaces towels every day.

Early on, we made the mistake of leaving the balcony doors open at night and were eaten alive by mosquitos and midges. The room does have a net curtain as well as one to block out the light, but it doesn't 'seal off' the outside so after dark keep the balcony doors closed if you don't want to be taking a trip to the chemist for bite remedy. The hotel does not have a restaurant in itself. Breakfast is provided at one of the cafes along the street. We considered the breakfast menu to be 'OK' - bacon, scrambled / boiled eggs, fruit, cereals, breads and usual selection of fruit juices, tea and coffee. If you sit outside you will be plagued by birds trying to steal food from your table. That might sound cute but really, it isn't. We rarely ate there and usually bought something to eat from the Coop supermarket next to the bus stop. The room has a fridge but it's incredibly small, only about 8cm deep. With dextrous positioning we managed to fit six 500ml bottles in but don't expect it to hold much else. That said, what was inside stayed nice and cold. If you have mobility issues be aware that the superior rooms are on the third (top) floor and there is no lift. The staff were happy to bring our luggage up to/ down from the room but you will have to manage the stairs yourself.

Sehr laut in der Nacht zum schlafen gewesen hatte ein Kind dabei war nicht so toll!

Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt. Ruhig und sauber. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In dieser Hitze war ich froh, ein klimatisiertes Zimmer zu haben. So konnte ich gut schlafen!

Trotz den oben aufgeführten ++++ Punkten fand ich den Preis sehr hoch. Ich hatte ja ein winzig kleines Zimmer mit Blick in den Hinterhof (was mich absolut nicht störte). Dafür aber Fr. 487 zu zahlen, finde ich überrissen!
