Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Das Gebäude ist fantastisch! So schön und hochwertig gestaltet bis ins jede Detail! Die Zimmer sind sehr schick und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Pflegeprodukte waren sehr gut. Da legt jemand sehr viel Wert auf gute Qualität. Die Lage ist perfekt, nur ein paar Stufen vom Geschehen entfernt. Zu Fuß zum nächsten Strand sind es 10 min. Dort ist auch parken kostenlos möglich. Das Frühstück war toll! Alles selbst gemacht und frisch zubereitet, besonders war der frisch gepresste O-Saft! Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Grand Sarai is a building of great historic value, and it shows. The good thing is that the renovation was done with respect and good taste. Beautiful high ceilings, doors and windows, and even our floor level room was well litted and spacious. It is a hotel that creates a friendly and warm feeling. Also, we didn't even need air-conditioning, it always stayed at a perfect temperature. I highly value clean rooms and it did not disappoint. Next time we ll book the top floor rooms that I believe will be even better. We also loved the location, it is super central but at the same time it's quiet and never feels too crowded. We loved everything in our stay and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Nothing negative. We'll be back!

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026The building is gorgeous and the room are spacious, clean and so comfortable. Location is great and really central without being too far from a place to park outside the old town. Good breakfast. We do recommend.
Definitely they have issue with the internet. We had 3 rooms on the same floor and the wifi was not working well in most of the corners of them. We had to mostly use our data plan. I do understand complexity with old building but for a 4 stars hotel it must be better. This was the only negative as everything else was great.

Beaucoup de charme dans ce bâtiment ancien qui a abrité le ministère des finances du 1er gouvernement grec. Ses façades roses sont incroyables !!! Petit déjeuner au top. Allez le prendre sur la terrasse du haut. C’est magique. On a adoré notre séjour.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026It is a beautifully renovated building. Renovation is very good with a modern feel to the rooms. The bathrooms are spacious. Air-conditioning present. The breakfast was OK. Easy walking distance to many sites. Beautifully quiet at night.
Parking is a bit of a distance. And it doesn’t matter if you approach from above or below, you will have flights of stairs to get to the entrance of the hotel. The walk-in shower is beautiful, but be careful. Very slippery.

Hôtel difficile à trouver et accès uniquement piéton avec marches. Stationnement possible à proximité, pas de parking réservé à l'hôtel. Un peu sportif avec les valises.

Bardzo słabo działające wifi- praktycznie nie działało w naszym pokoju. Niektóre produkty na śniadaniach były średnie. Na przykład miód z paczki z marketu to nie coś czego oczekuje się w 4* hotelu. Słabe wygłuszenie pokoju.

Reviewed May 17, 2026The hotel was centrally located, though it was a challenge to climb the steps leading up to the hotel from the square for somebody in their 80s. This was resolved by a staff member meeting me at the square and taking my suitcase. This was repeated in reverse when I left. The room was bright and airy and adequately furnished. Much appreciated was the tray of teas, coffee, etc and the bottled water in the fridge. The ensuite bathroom was modern with a good assortment of products . The breakfast was very good, ranging from fruit, cereal, etc to cooked breakfast with pastry and cakes.
Maybe a room looking on to something a little more pleasant than graffiti! Probably not something that the hotel can do anything about.

The breakfast offered a good variety of food to choose from, including typical Greek dishes such as spanokopita; I particularly appreciated the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and everything regarding checking in, getting information, and checking out was very easy.
Despite there being a climate control panel in the room, it does not allow one to adjust the temperature. It's either "heat on/off" or "AC on/off." Since I like the room chilly when I sleep, I had to turn off the heat and open the French doors, beneath which was an area where raucous young people like to congregate at night. The noise, of course, is not the hotel's fault--but it's something future guests should be aware of.
