Breakfast was good and my little daughter absolutely enjoyed the bathtub.
Really hard to get service on the phone if you don't speak Chinese so I would go down to the reception if I really needed help with something. Otherwise, it will take multiple trips for the attendant (which they will do happily so that's a plus).
Good location and facilities. Buffet breakfast was great and staff were friendly and helpful
Nothing really
Friendly staff , clean room and good buffet breakfast at lovely location
Nothing really
Завтраки очень скромные, мало адаптированы под европейскую кухню. Поблизости нет ни магазинов, ни супермаркетов, ни нормальных ресторанов
Clean and professional. Very good breakfast. Terrific value for money
excellent hotel for business trips, excellent value for money, excellent staff at reception, excellent breakfast.
quite far away from ShangHai key attractions.
The entire staff was attentive, welcoming and approachable. Translation apps were helpful....everyone always took the time and made an effort to figure out what we were asking.
Overall it is a nice place with convenient access to major transportations. The hotel is quite old in particular with in unit bathroom sink drainage that I need to pull out the knob to let water flow down. This is something needs to be looked into. Breakfast buffet is fine. We stayed for just one night just for next day activity planned in the area and location is good, with free parking included.
My overall rating is 3. Location was good. Crowne Plaza Shanghai Xiayang Lake hotel was near the Hongqiao airport and just beside the Xiayang Lake. Traffic was good, never too many cars you would expect in downtown areas. However, the room I stayed at the executive floor was not impressive. Everything felt cheap and the hot water and cold water never mixed well and it was quite frustrating to take shower. Food was too simple and you didn't have many choices.
Stayed for 3 days for a business trip. IHG properties never dissappoints you. All the basic necessities are covered. The staff knows their job. The property is away from the city center however a a mall is at a walking distance. A beautiful lake to walk and can be seen from your balcony. The room is clean and bed is comfortable to sleep. Highly recommended.
Empty in the mini bar. Strange smell on the carpet throughout the hotel. Seems never changed them since my last stay. Offered complimentary drink as per club policy but when I tried to redeem it,the floor one restaurant seemed never prepared for that, (without any ready clean cup) except carbonates cans to offer.the female responsibility at the restaurant entry desk stopped to me really rude when I tried to grab a chair to sit down, they wouldn't even treated a beggar like that.very sad.
This hotel is everything you expect from a Crowne Plaza, well equipped rooms, stylish architecture, helpful staff and a high level of background quality. Not wanting to be negative (perhaps informative) my only problem was that my Chinese is non-existent and many of the staff had little English. I do not expect everyone to speak English, and any questions I had were soon resolved once multi lingual staff were found; just be prepared to sometimes have to wait. As to the good things... the rooms are comfy and well equipped for sleeping, resting or working in. The bathroom in particular was excellent. The minibar had a nice selection of snacks when needed and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was an excellent meal with numerous selections available, the only trick was exploring all the possible options to select those few you could eat every day. The coffee was fresh and superb. As I only wanted a swift bite in the evening I dined in the international restaurant, which tended to be a quiet affair as regards guest numbers, but was often graced with live music. The selection was fairly normal for such a chain hotel and of reasonable quality. The hotel offers morning drop offs to some local destinations which I found very useful as regards visiting local businesses. It also had a robot room service which small children will love! Across the road from the hotel is a shopping and dining area with lots of choices and a Carrefour supermarket, useful for last minute gifts. I may have to return to the area and will stay here again, no questions asked.
Good service and location.
Great value rooms with all mod cons....A/C worked silently and the bathroom was as good as any used in China. Bidette was a nice comforting experience but start on low temperatures and adjust upwards to avoid a sting in the tail if you see what I mean. Well worth the half an hour out of central Shanghai but with Metro station just 10 minutes by taxi, and straight into Yuyuan or Xintiandi or Nangjing Toad East, you can enjoy the clean, quiet and well appointed hotel offerings. I would definitely stay here again whether for business or pleasure. The swim pool was top notch in water quality and accessories for hygiene.
The Crowne Plaza is a very clean and comfortable hotel. It is set nearby a really lovely lake which is great to walk around. The hotel is a low rise, with some rooms a reasonable walk to the reception and restaurant. Good wi fi and a range of TV channels. The buffet breakfast had a good range which was replenished regularly. It is a long way from downtown Shanghai. It was a very quiet location.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, good wi-fi. Breakfast was excellent and they have a coffee machine. This hotel is in wings so its a bit of a walk to the dining room. If you want to swim in the pool you will need a swimming cap. The lake is great for a walk and there are many eating places and a supermarket across the road. This hotel is quite a way out of the city.
Beautifully clean and comfortable rooms with bathtub. Staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was an amazing buffet of Eastern and Western foods and the coffee was amazing. There is a mini zoo out the back with goats, peacocks and pigs which was great, but the two times we went to visit there was no water visible for them to drink. Out the back of the hotel are lovely gardens fenced off from a beautiful lake with walkway all around it. Supermarket and great choice of restaurants nearby! Absolutely would stay again!!
Strategic locations and there is a plaza nearby. Breakfast is good with many selections. Near lake where you can jog in the morning.
have a very nice holidays in this hotel. the room very clean! the service very nice and warmful! the breakfast delicious. the park is beautiful.we will come back again!the mini zoo babys like a lot. parking free!
This hotel is located at next to beautiful lake, has beutiful garden and good facility. They take care of the hotel facility too.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was free Wifi which kept me connected. Though the property was very far from where I had to be, it had a plaza nearby where I was able to get some chinese snacks and other items.
This hotel was for a business trip and worked out well as it was closer to the office. The hotel is top notch, great facilities and some great kid themed rooms and even a little mini zoo. There are a few more things in the area like a small shopping area that closes at 10 PM but this hotel is not near the city center.
Having been booked into this hotel by my company I was excited to stay at Crowne Plaza, Qingpu. It was a colossal let down. Even the simplest request was reinvention of the wheel with reception and telephone staff bordering on obstructive. Please can you fill my minibar - eventually filled after 4 requests on my second night. Room service at 3am on the first night - sorry we don’t have half the items on the very limited room service menu. And called back 20 minutes after ordering to tell me that. Room service at 2am on the second night - sorry we can’t help you... the machine in the kitchen is broken down. Laundry - sorry we can’t bring to your room until you pay... I’m here for 5 nights, do you think I’m going to leave town...? When I tried to pay in the room I had to accompany the laundry service to reception as she did not have change of CNY200 for a CNY140 bill. Breakfast - very poor quality. Limp and soggy pastries and over cooked meat. Though the staff were very attentive. Cafe in the lobby - mostly not manned. When I went to reception to ask if I could purchase a drink I was told there was a mall over the road as staff were not available to serve in the cafe. The security man guarding access to the elevators, asleep in his seat on at least 3 of the nights that I went to my room after 11pm and not once was I challenged regards my room card before accessing the elevators. For heaven’s sake this is supposed to be a 4* hotel - should this really be happening...? My advice if staying in Qingpu area, stay somewhere else. This hotel may be called Crowne Plaza, but it is by a distance the worst example of this brand that I have stayed in.
The hotel offers nice rooms, a bar, different rooms for events or seminars, a restaurant. Everybody is exerted. But there is no real understanding for guests. Within the routine everything is running, but even small changes swamps the staff. Charm and real empathy is missing. For a business trip they offer what is needed, if you do not expect personal touch.
Functional, clean and quiet business hotel but buffet food is always warm or cold. They just can't get it right. Food selection not always good for Westerners
This hotel offers many facilities, a big room, a great breakfast with so many different options, a smiling and helpfull reception staff and a nice bar to drink some beers. It was a really nice choice. Bet was big and nice, bathroom with shower and bath and the cleaning was perfect. The hotel is far from downtown but excellent related where I needed to go.
Here for 1 month, we have a very good staff service. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very welcoming, but should speak a little more english. In the morning at lunch, there is a large selection of food at the buffet. Next to the hotel there is a small lake where we can walk. There are restaurants and a grocery store in front of the hotel.
Nice hotel, mid-range and facilitates are good. Only one point of improvement, they don't provide news-paper on each day morning. Staff told me that they received newspaper each day in afternoon, but other things are nice Thank Crown plaza
I think this hotel is the best in Qingpu. Comfortable place and strategic location. I can see a lake and big park with a lot of tree beside the hotel. Feel fresh air in the morning. The room with luxury facilities. I can get much variant food both Chinese and Western menu. The hotel is near with Carrefour and many traditional and modern restaurants.
In all over the hotel, their staff and all around was nice. Just the air conditioning system doesn't control the temperature, so it can happen it gets really cold over night. The gym requires an overhaul as the room is too sall and the equipment too less and old.
This happens to be a reasonably good hotel where you can expect real value for money. It is located in the Quingpu (pronounced as "Chingpu") Industrial Area near to Shanghai. The landed cost of the room tariff is 700 RMB & the services offered is really worth the money spent. This hotel offers all the features that a good hotel can offer. All the staff members are very professional & strive hard to delight their guests. In the morning breakfast buffet while the lady attendant requests the guests about the room number, she also accompanies them to help find out a suitable table. The buffet spread is quite wide with reasonable blend of Oriental & Continental cuisine. The only point where they need to improve is to train their staff members to converse in working English which is lacking for majority of their staff members.
Stayed for one night with two kids in the hotel in summer on the way back to Shanghai. Plus + Check-in was very efficient and professional + Located in the center of Qingpu with Carrefour and plenty eateries across the street + Track around the lake for jogging + Indoor play room for kids (although not as spacious as expected from the pictures, it does the job just as much + Petite "farm animals" area with goats, pigs, peacocks and birds + Most of the staff were helpful and friendly to kids Cons - Swimming maintenance DURING the opening hours - Quite a long walk from parking to lobby - The open plan hall could have been a lot nicer if better illuminated It is a very good choice for a family trip with kids if Qingpu or surrounding areas is the destination.
I was take breakfast this morning at the buffet restaurant at the hotel. While I was getting my daily dose of fruit juice I saw a dead house fly inside the grapefruit juice. I told and showed the chef 王文刚 who was supposedly helping himself to the breakfast, and he motioned one of the restaurant crew and told him about the fly. I walked away and continued to my breakfast and, to my horror, when I turned back and looked, that crew just open and lid and put his hand in to fish out the dead fly and wiped it off his shirt!!!!! I was horrified of such hygiene standard of this international chain... I think for the rest of my stay here this week, I will skip the fruit juice.
Hotel is very near to the shanghai air hongqiao. Airport and shanghai qingpu industrial area. Located near a lake offers scenic view and You can enjoy a nice walk on the lake . Variety options for the morning breakfast also have carryfour store nearby
When they get a bar it will be better for business travels.
Clean and modern hotel with good restaurants and shopping nearby.
Everything at the hotel was nice. Good food, petting zoo was fun to watch. Water pressure for shower was poor, and valve to go between hand-held and fixed shower did not function.
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and currently scheduled for another stay for 2 weeks. The manager and all staff that I have communicated with were very professional and very friendly. It is quite and relaxing with shopping area close by. I look forward to staying here each time I return to China.
Good hotel. Location is the only disadvantage. Too far from the city and the once popular neighbourhood has fallen out of favour with locals of Qingpu. In China, this means dilapidated buildings and shops.
While most things are fine, the air conditioning being a centralized air conditioning is just unacceptable that you can't choose your own temperature.
Very nice business hotel. good service. Attentive staff
In the vast desolate Area that surrounds the new Hongqiao exhibition centre this joyel is as good as it gets. Brar in mond it is 90 monites from Shanghai and 30 mns from the Fair, but it is a green oasis surrounded by a vast manmafe lake and adjacent to the big Carrefour shopping Centre. Also quite close to some mega high-emd desogner putlet malls. BreKfast presided over by the amazing Nilolai is a must, for variety, quality and presentation of the enormous buffet, and the front desk manager is a great asset for hotel and its guests. The hotel Manager takes a personal intetest in your comfort. But it still has a way to go...for example, the restaurant closes at 9:00 about which I was advised si i got in at 8:30, and was enjoying an ice cold Tsingdao and a superb togu and sesfood casserole, when all the iights and a/c turned off! It was 9 pm and the staff wS leaving! But the place is girgeous and the management is trying very hard!
Spent 7 nights at the hotel and no complaints. Clean and modern, staff very helpful.Short walk to shops, Starbucks KFC for when you feel like a change from Chinese food. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Room is very clean except two stains on carpet. Facility in good condition. Staffs are friendly and with good service, and dealing with difficult customers skillfully. Location is over 10km to Zhujiajiao or Dianshanhu, not close. Food in Restaurant is below average 5 star hotels, no matter for buffet breakfast or Chinese lunch.
