The manager and the lady who worked mostly in the evenings were very friendly..
The same breakfast menu, get sick for 5 days eating the same Area near the beach doesn't look very inviting The beach was not very nice. Timing for the kitchen was not good, as if you wanted to order anything there was no chef. For breakfast the menu had some ingredients but when served there were no bananas Not much was vegetarian food
Peaceful, quiet, relaxing and staff/service was perfect in every way.
We had a great 3 Day stay, ocean front suite was beautiful with perfect access to the pool and beach. We enjoyed the 1/2 board service and all the staff and management. We would highly recommend a stay here!
Very helpful staff. Food was excellent. The hotel shows some signs of wear, but is comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
Hotel setting was nice
We informed the hotel of our honeymoon twice and sent marriage certificates however it was still not acknowledged at all. Room could have been cleaner. Staff could have been nicer
I would not normally write such a review, but on this occasion I felt like the experience was so poor and different from what was advertised and charged at a high price that it required an honest review to warn others. We stayed at Dhevatara for 4 nights. From the moment we checked in we had a very unfriendly welcome, no smile, no hospitality from check in start to finish. Definitely not what you expect considering the high price paid and especially for a ‘small boutique hotel’. There was only one lady running the whole check in process on arrival, then covering dinner service, plus the bar service the whole evening. Speaking of food, if you wish to place a food order please be prepared to wait 3 business days to receive your food. Especially at breakfast (bring a newspaper to read), the service was extremely slow. On top of this, the waitress had offered us that there would be the possibility to order some Gluten Free bread for my Coeliac partner the next day, provided we inform them. Each day we kindly asked if they would honor what they originally offered and each morning they forgot, in the end we gave up. Please do not offer options which never materialise. The speed of service was so slow, you could see many guests also getting frustrated each morning. I would also like to mention each morning we ordered fruit, yoghurt and cornflakes, something which shouldn’t take long to prepare. Eventually when we did receive our food, please be aware, it looks nothing like the picture’s advertised. The burger was so uncooked we had to send back to the kitchen (request well done) and their French toast was burnt in the morning. The pool is extremely murky and full of debris at the bottom when swimming in, to the extent you cannot see the bottom (slimy). It needs a good clean. In the room, i was unable to use the kettle to boil water as it was brown and rotten inside and there were stains on the towels.
Food was pretty bad and basic options.
Excellent service staff Delicious food Location Access to beach View from room
Mold and old rusted light fittings in bathroom. Plug needed repair in bath. Room in desperate need of new bed and bedding Try to block out construction site next door.
Rummet riktigt bra , men utemiljön miserabel.
non availability of vegetarian food. hotel charged the fare of EURO 1825 two times and haven't refunded even after 1 week. Booking.com also is responsible as they also have not taken corrective action.
Service was very good as they'd go over and beyond for you Room was nice Food was ok but slightly slow service Tamara was lovely and Samia also welcomed us nicely. There was a noise is bedroom like a boiler which made it difficult to sleep I don't think I slept more than 2 hrs, the whole time I was there Unfortunately, there were also a lot of mosquitos in the room which is where I got most of my bites - I think they sprayed the room but it didn't work. Vapes would have been great. The pool was not attractive to enter Bath tub not tight enought to hold the water in unfortunately Bonus was the umbrellas, beach towels and beach bag.. and they accept Amex! Great location as right on the beach and restaurants nearby They also let us check-out a little later than the official time which was so nice of them Value for money for Seychelles was great. Value for money overall (worldwide) was pretty expensive.
Service Staff Breakfast
Bath Pool Noise
The hotel needs to be refurbished, the room was rather tired looking. Housekeeping can be more consistent, it was one day like this and the next like that. I don't think housekeeping cleans the rooms properly, I found a man's swimsuit behind the bath tub and wondered how thoroughly the room is cleaned and sanitized. Also, water in the bathtub was yellow, maybe the pipes were rusted. i don't know about the shower, i couldn't tell if it was the same as the bathtub. Kitchen did not deliver food as per description in the menu although service was very friendly and gracious. Overall highly priced for what it is.
Fantastic beach 50 meters away! Sunsets. Very kind and helpful staff
As everywhere in the Seychelles, unstable and slow Wi-fi
Love the tranquility at the hotel. The hotel is a walking distance from the best restaurants that we managed to try out while we were there. The staff at the hotel were very attentive, warm, and accommodating to our request. We thoroughly enjoyed out anniversary trip. The food was amazing, especially loved the breakfast spread with different choices to indulge in.
The room was nice and clean. One receptionist was really kind and helpful, and the rest of the staff, including the cleaning guy, were nice and professional. Also the breakfast was good and the service was efficient. The taxi driver was kind with us.
Unfortunately on the other hand, the second receptionist was unprofessional and rude to us and the staff, which was embarrassing for a 5-star hotel. Dinner service was painfully slow, taking 1 hour for the starter and a whopping 2.5 hours for a three-course meal. The food quality didn't quite meet the expected standard. The hotel was not in an optimal position and beach was full of seaweeds.
The hotel is in a lovely location, the rooms are spacious and the staff are kind and friendly. I was particularly impressed with chef. The dinners were excellent!
I thought the price at Euro 420 per night was expensive.
The staff was very nice and convenient (they did arrange taxi transfers very well). The island is great but this is incredibly expensive for what it is...
Seychelles is too expensive for the quality of the stay, food is not so great but expensive, hotels are not always as good as expected (for the price again).
- big and comfortable room, very peaceful and relaxing hotel (10 rooms only) - honeymoon gift (bottle of champagne and fruit platter) - free transfer from/to the jetty, as well as to the beach (we stayed at Dhevatara during monsoon season, therefore there was a lot of seaweeds on the hotel beach)
- service for breakfast and dinners was slow (we were the only one at the restaurant and it took 45 minutes to get an omelette and egg benedict, which was annoying as we had scheduled boat trip with tight departure) - poor and unstable wifi connection
VERY SAD TAKE MONEY FOR 2 NIGHTS THAT I DIDNT THERE ITS THEIFT IN SUNNY DAY
NO GOOD
the staff made the stay so special. they were very accommodating, welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay special. the room was big and comfortable and with only 10 rooms, never chaotic. it was very relaxing
the beach. but you don’t really need to spend time at the hotel beach as the ones you want to visit are up north. I would stay here again in a heartbeat
We had an amazing stay at Dhevatara. The room was perfect, the pool is fantastic, you can access the beach very easily and while there are a few algae it's not really an issue. The staff is nice and welcoming, and it was a great experience to stay there. Also, you have a lot of small takeaway restaurants nearby that you can walk to, which is nice if you want to experience a little bit more of the local life of the island.
It might be a little bit expensive but still worth it.
Excellent food Very friendly and helpful staff Nice pool Bus stop right in front of the hotel
Very bad wifi and no plug in bathroom for hairdryer
Lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff and high quality facilities. Great base for friends travelling with private beach and really good restaurant.
Staff were wonderful and incredibly friendly throughout. A lovely sea view from the room and a decent breakfast.
Rooms could do with some tlc. The bathroom ventilation isn’t good and was very warm. The glass panels are quite random and don’t fit the setting really. A good hotel but not great value for money.
quite, beautiful, amazing stuff, Tahira is amazing!!!
food can be a bit better, but overall not bad
beautiful property located on the beach. tastefully decorated room will uplift your mood. excellent amenities and services. staff was very helpful, pleasant and welcoming. the lobby restaurant serves v good food. property is walking distance by the casino, massage centre and grocery. swimming pool is great for relaxing, but beach was not good for swimming. do try the fresh coconut compliment by the house.
Dhevatara is very comfortable hotel with stunning atmosphere. The people in service are really kind and always ready to help you with your wishes. Room service make incredible work, everyday was clean and nice. Pool is really really good and modern (Bali style). The sunsets in the hotel are amazing and the night atmosphere is very quiet there. Dinners are really TOP ✌️. Dhevatara ist really good choice and from my opinion im ready to come back sometimes. Thank you for amazing stay.
Beach and sea full of seaplants but that is normal from Mai till September. You can find amazing places on Grand Anse to chill.
the Room and the pool and that it’s calm and relax
the food prices and the room prices are highly for the overall service provided, should be less or meals included because breakfast not the best so at least other meal because lunch and dinner are good.
Relaxing atmosphere. great style and architecture. good food. great service. Beautiful long beach, best swimming at the airport end. Pool is clean and hardly used.
I don’t think this is the hotels problem/fault, but there were a lot of mosquitoes in the evenings at the hotel. We haven’t experienced the same in La Digue or Mahe. My girlfriend was hardly bitten, unfortunately I wasn’t as lucky. Pack your repellent! watch out for rays in the shallows of the water.
Very nice and helpful staff Very nice and comfortable room Very calm area Great swimming pool Very nice food
Beach was not great to swim, a lot of seaweed in the November period. Very nice to walk though, specially sunset Though food was great, it took a lot of time to wait to get food, dinners normally lasted 2 hours, breakfasts minimum an hour, seemed a waste of time to spend 3 hours in the restaurant Location is not the best in the island, just convenient from close to airport but not much really in surrounding, you need some transport to see the good spots
Beautiful small hotel right on the beach and all staff were fantastic
Hotel ambient, food, proffesional kindness of personel.
They could organise and get a vehicle to remove sea grass from the beach, so the beach would be usable.
the pool, the room, the bed, the bath, the gardens, the beach, the staff
food wasn’t amazing for the money but still fine
Super nice hotel with direct access to the beach. Our suite was really nice and we got a complementary bottle of sparkling wine due to our honeymoon. Breakfast was very good and lots of options. Also the staff was exceptional and helped with everything. There are some restaurants nearby for eating out, but not as many as compared to Cot d‘Or.
Unfortunately we couldn’t really use the beach due to the seaweed, but it’s not the hotels fault and you can still lay very close on the beach, still at the hotel‘s property. Besides that the hotel offers a shuttle to Anse Volbert, also a very beautiful beach.
The staff is so friendly!
-
Brekfast+ stuff+ clennes
It was so humid that nothing dry out, the localisation was mid. Yoh can feel the years under the belt of the hotel
Overall, all the Seychellois people are extremely nice, but specifically in this resort are extremely helpful and will do above and beyond to keep you happy and satisfied.
A minor smell in the bathroom
Small Hotel, Good Restaurant and Personal Service
This hotel was the right choice for our vacation. Great rooms with great staff and the location at the beach was phantastic. The beach was ideal for swimming in the ocean, which is quite a challenge at other places due to waves. The staff was very friendly and helpfull and the restaurant did a great job. We used it several times and did not had the need to trie a lot of other locations.
Spacious rooms, friendly staff, great food (sometimes a bit to big portions)
Great place, great service, great food in hotel restaurant. Very, very recommended
A lovely boutique hotel, that is a refreshing hideaway compared to all of the large resorts in the Seychelles. The individual style of the rooms is eclectic and they are very generous in size. Breakfast is also worth a mention, as they have a lovely a la carte menu each morning. Yes there is seaweed on the beach BUT you pretty much have the perfect coastline to yourself all day, with an amazing sunset and great water for swimming. However the best things about this hotel is the staff, especially the GM Rene, who takes time to get to know you, check everything is ok and make guests feel most welcome. We would definitely recommend this for couples looking for some privacy and peace!
Our over all stay at Dhevatara Hotel was very pleasant. Prior to our arrival the hotel made it very clear that it will be sea weed season both in their advertising and in an email. A shuttle service was available. The staff were very kind, helpful and friendly, they arranged pick up and drop off from the jetty and airport for us at short notice as well as car hire. Breakfast was truly delicious, particularly the muesli and the passion fruit juice! The food over all was very good and very beautifully presented. The layout of the hotel is also very unique and stylish, however may need a little bit of refurbishing. The beach was beautiful despite the sea weed. Overall a great experience.
Nice stay at The Dhevatara
Lovely Boutique Hotel with individual cabins, we had the Peroke cabin. What can I say. it was pure luxury being a stone throw away from the beach. Great team to cater for your every needs. If it rains in Seychelles like it did for us you will get bored and get bitten by Sand flies. Overall nice place to stay and fraction of the price of Raffles and
Trop d’algues...
Dhevatara is a very nice hotel. The staff & the manager are very nice and helpful. The facility & pool is very beautiful and also the room was absolutely perfect for our honeymoon. And the breakfast is delicious. I never had a better breakfast than in the Dhevatara. We spent 5 days of our honeymoon there & we can warmly recommend this great hotel!
Angemehmes Ambiente, tolles Service, geschmackvolles Essen
Nice hotel, shame about some of the rude staff and bad food.
Excellent hotel. Pity that the surroundings do not match the excellence of the property. Good, but they do not rise to the excellence of the facilities.
Very nice, very private, boutique style, very good food 👍
Fantastic hotel - small and intimate - and great food and cocktails!
Outstanding small resort for couples. Feels home away from home.
We stayed at the Dhevatara beach hotel for 5 nights. From the time me and my wife checked in, we were made to feel at home. The staff was extremely helpful, prompt and efficient. They left no stone unturned to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Rene Squires the manager was always available on the property and he would go around talking to the guests, asking them if there was anything else they needed. We liked this personal touch and you could tell that he is really passionate about his work. The breakfast was outstanding, from the freshly baked pastries and croissants to the omelettes and amazingly fresh fruit platter to the crepes and pancakes,it was the perfect way to start a day. We had dinner at the hotel's signature restaurant a couple of times and it was delicious. The hotel also provided transfer to and from the ferry terminal as well as everyday to the east side of the island free of charge which was very helpful. Aneel at the reception desk was extremely helpful with making restaurant reservations in Cote d'or as well as arranging for a day trip to the other islands. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.
I am really disappointed as a person who trust and follow recommendations of Expedia that this hotel is rated 5 star the beach is full of weed and they informed me that Expedia are informed the swimming pool is joke and when I told them to cancel the refused to refund I had to go another hotel that I still booked through Expedia but really I should have got my money back
Dhevatara was a dream come true for our Honeymoon, private, intimate, and secluded. The staff was wonderful, the room beautiful, the food was very good as well (and I'm picky)! It's a really Romantic spot!! We needed to rent a car to get to the nice beaches on the Island, but the rental car guy, and the car came straight to us at the hotel so it was super easy!
Lovely little hotel with very friendly staff. Food was nice and reasonable given the average prices on the island. Room was comfortable and hotel comprises of 10 'suites' so quiet and relaxing. Only real negative is the location - easy to get to/from the airport but beautiful beaches are found mostly on the other side of the island. Beach here is windswept and not good for snorkeling or swimming.
What a lovely place to stay. We stayed four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Comfortable rooms with wonderful toiletries....L' Occitane, coffee/tea making facilities, welcome fruit and delicious cookies, bottle water, basket to carry beach/ pool ware, beach towels. The pool was very clean and inviting, lovely gardens and lots of beach loungers. The beach is just stunning with crystal clear water. Breakfast was to die and go to heaven...even sparkling wine is available and complimentary. The staff was very accommodating and the manager, Renee, is always available. Welcome and farewell drinks are offered . We had dinner at the hotel, every evening and they were all excellent. Their prices are comparable to the nearby restaurants and served in a nicer environment. Special thanks to Dominique, Maria and Gretchen. This is the best place to stay in Praslin. Lovely, lovely boutique hotel. Highly recommended.
This is true luxury as remote as can be. This being said, you can have full satellite television and perfect WiFi if you do not choose to completely power down from reality. Just know that this is very small. You will get to know the other guests and the hotel staff and they will get to know you. There is no anonymity. The food is fresh and creative, but you will want to travel out quickly as the food and drink menu might get boring on a longer stay.
I loved everything about this hotel, except for the location and the pool. Location because it is far from the nice/happening places and the pool is just poorly designed. Staff are super helpful, rooms are comfortable and the view of the ocean from the garden is great. You will LOVE the breakfast here. If you are visiting Seychelles make sure you ask the staff about the French restaurant, Cafe Des Arts .
What a naturally beautiful hotel. This is the second 5star resort we have stayed in on Praslin island. If you want modern contemporary beige furniture go to Raffles, however, if you want a boutique style hotel with a Seychellois feel you can't go wrong booking the Dhevatara. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was the best I've ever eaten. If you are offered the half board basis, take it.It's better value. For 6 courses and a glass of wine it's 600rupees approx.£60.00pp when paying in resort. They also offer a la carte but this works out slightly more expensive for fewer courses. The hotel only has 10 rooms positioned around a beautiful natural swimming pool.At night the pool area is lit up and it looks stunningly beautiful. The music in the bar area/restaurant is very relaxing and matches this peaceful relaxing resort.Well done to Manager Rene and the team at Dhevatara Beach. You've got it just right.
Wonderful hotel but the beach in front is not nice, you need a car as there is nothing around
The hotel was pleasant to us very much. In the morning before a breakfast we did jogs along the ocean. A good breakfast with a wide choice of fruit. The beach of hotel isn't absolutely suitable for bathing, it is a lot of seaweed therefore the hotel will be organized by a transfer in a wonderful bay of Lazzio. The personnel very benevolent helped us to organize excellent fishing. From the hooked fish the cook of hotel made to us a dinner in Creole. We liked very much SPA, the massages was pleasant.
Ticked all the right boxes. Would stay here again. Very relaxing. Room was first class, staff were very attentive. Loved the food in the in the restaurant.
Good Hotel with great service but I stayed in Praslin more than I supposed to which is 6 days. Mahe would have been a better place to be in for a longer period. The managements of the hotel don't have a strategy to attain visitors. The hotel has 10 rooms and only two were occupied for the entire time I was with them and the hotel refused to do an upgrade even though I was in my honeymoon for 6 days with them. The reception service was lightening because no one was in the hotel other than me. The TV Satellite wasn't working because of the weather being windy and they didn't fix it for the entire stay which made me very disappointed.
It's truely a outstanding hotel in Praslin island, perfect service and perfect room. small entrance we almost passed by actrully, but there is a big logo outside remind us its just here! I've booked two rooms, turtorie suite which on the ground floor and with a small gardern view is for my parents, sunset suite which on the first floor and with a fantastic sea view is for me and my hasbund. Hotel offers snorkeling equipment and kayaks for free, just get downstairs and walk less than one minite, you are on the beach! Breakfast in hotel is very delicious, most like the pineapple juice. Thanks to the beautiful manager and all stuff help us to find the best way to travel around the Praslin.
It's a very nice vacation here.Hotel is just beside the beach. The entrence is small, almost passed by. But the hotel name logo is easy to find just outside. Parking space is allowed about 4 cars to park. booked 2 rooms, one for me and my hasbund and one for my parents. Every room got its own design style. my parents room is turtories and mine is sunset. turtorie suite is on the ground floor with a little garden. sunset suite is on the first floor which have a very very fantastic sea view. Bed and line are very clean, easy to have a good sleep. snorkeling equipment and kayaks are free for rent. The only blemish is the swimming pool is still not open. Breakfast is very very delicious. The beautiful manager and stuff are very nice to give us a lot of help for travel around.
Very good hotel service and nice rooms. Should not pay more than $350/night.
We went for our honeymoon and was one of the nicest and most comfortable places ever. The staff are awesome, the food is great, the overall stay was comfortable and we will definitely be back.
We spent 4 nights at Dhevatara hotel at Praslin in November. The welcome was very friendly, our suite was clean, spacious, very new and well designed and the view from the room was indescribable. The staff was very helpful and friendly all time. The breakfast was a la carte, but it did not mean any disadvantage. The dinner served at the hotel restaurant was really delicious. The first day the beach in front of the hotel was full of seaweed, but it had just disappeared after 2 or 3 days, and it became a paradise like, long, white sand beach thereafter. So the best time to stay at this hotel certainly after the middle of November, because of the trade wind change and the seaweed condition. But if someone is planning to visit other beaches in the island or La Digue it no matters at all. My birthday was during of our stay, and the staff had realized that probably from my check in data, and had prepared a little birthday surprise in our suite, and a small birthday cake at dinner. Just a small courtesy. The complimentary bike hiring and the sea kayaking possibility is really good. Overall, there is nothing wrong to say about this small, friendly boutique hotel, but if someone plans to spend the whole time at the beach in front of the hotel it is probably advised to travel from November to April.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel with fantastic food, wonderful staff, the most comfortable bed and an intimate setting. We prefer smaller hotels and this one fit the bill. It is right on the beach but while we were there, the seaweed made it not so pleasant for swimming. That didn't bother us too much as we rented a car and drove around the island. The hotel was very helpful in arranging it for us. I can't say enough about the food, banana pancakes for breakfast were delicious and the dinners (especially the desserts) were 5 star.
Loved this hotel. The location is right on the beach, there was a lot of seaweed at this time of year but the hotel provided free shuttle daily to other beaches on the island. The pool area is lovely. The rooms are really nice, bathrooms amazing. the bed is super comfortable. I liked that it is a small resort so the personal attention is excellent. Food was absolutely delicious, the best we had in the Seychelles on our trip. The pastry chef is super skilled and produces the best bread and chocolate croissants!!!! When we were there we witnessed fish being picked right off the fishing boat on the beach....so you know the food is fresh. Would definitely stay again.
