Хороший отель за свои деньги, персонал старается, расположен рядом с классным ТЦ, в есть все, в том числе котором огромный фудкорт. Персонал очень старается. Спортзал выше всех похвал. Метро далековато. но строят новое около отеля. Мы ездилина такси всегда, так что это было не важно.

Завтраки не очень, по сравнению с другими отелями этой же сети. Холодильник отсутствует.

Air conditioning was off for the whole time even though outside is 90 Fahrenheit. Talked to front desk staff, they said the whole central system is not on no matter how low I set the temperature to. I need to open the window in order to sleep but outside is super noisy and I need to put ear plugs in order for me to sleep. I got hot when I put on the blanket and cold when I didn’t during the night. I catch a cold at the end. The location is close to bus station, but a little bit far from the train station. A lot of street food and night market just off the street. Close to the shopping center tho. Would not stay there again.

The staff is very friendly and remembered my room number throughout my stay every time I was at the front desk and required assistance. The breakfast also had a lot of variety which was a nice addition.

The location of the hotel was still a tiny bit away from Guanyinqiao and needed to call a Didi in order to get there. I was kind of wishing it was a walkable distance but this would be the only thing I would nitpick. Also when I was there, the gym facilities was under repair and I was hoping to use it for some down time that I needed to kill.

The staff was courteous , check in was hassle free. They accepted the international visa card for the payment. the room was cozy and comfortable. Not very far from the airport. Can avail the airport bus service to this place. There are some eateries around this area. The view of the skyline from the room was excellent

Really modern, clean, spacious and comfortable hotel. We are a family of 4 with two grown children. The hotel initially got our booking wrong (it could also be the fault of hotels.com) as they put us into a family room which is two rooms joined by a common internal door. The second room was fitted out with one single bed and a kids play area. Fortunately, the hotel sorted this out for us quite efficiently and gave us a twin room and a conjoined king bed room. All you need to be comfortable are included such as tooth brushes, slippers, bottled water, Tresemme shampoo, conditioner and body wash, tea and coffee and face masks. They even gave us a plate of fruit for each room on arrival! Breakfast is complimentary and that was not specifically advised on hotels.com!! The breakfast option is not bad considering it’s complimentary. The hotel is located a 5-10 mins walk from the Jiazhoulu metro station (exit 2). It is also quite a few stations away (20 mins) away from the main attractions which are all the peninsula from Liziba to Chaotianmen. There is a mini night street food market downstairs and plenty of delicious fruits are sold here (especially the strawberries, RMB16 will get you a small bag of the big strawberries, smaller ones are half the price). A high end mall at the Jiazhoulu station also has a large food hall at the basement. I would recommend this place if you aren’t too concerned the attractions are on the other side of the river. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Very clean hotel

My friends and I enjoyed a budget-friendly stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chongqing Jinxiucheng during our 3-night Labor Day escape. While its location isn't directly on top of a metro station, a 15-minute walk to Jiazhou Road (Line 3) or a quick 5-minute, 10RMB taxi ride makes it easily accessible. The friendly and helpful front desk staff made the arrival process smooth, and the included breakfast (served between 6:30-10:30am) was a pleasant surprise. With a spread of breads, fruits, Chinese porridge, steamed buns, salads, and hot dishes, it surpassed my expectations for a Holiday Inn Express breakfast. The only hiccup came with the building's air conditioning system. Unfortunately, my room's AC malfunctioned for the first two nights, requiring maintenance intervention. Thankfully, the staff handled the issue promptly.

It was a terrible experience. - There were renovation/construction hammering noises which started early every morning at 7.30am when we were there. When I made a complaint to the front desk, they mentioned that the construction work should start at 9am instead- which I still find to be completely inappropriate for a hotel. No information was provided by the hotel nor booking.com (the booking platform) of the fact that there was going to be renovation works. If it was an honest mistake of miscommunication with the contractors, that is forgivable but given that it occurred every morning, I believe that staff of the hotel did not truly care about the comfort of guests. - There is a clear misrepresentation by the hotel during our stay there. The pictures showed that clearly there was a gym and swimming pool. However during our stay, the gym and pool was not "officially opened" and hence we were unable to use it. We felt quite cheated and when we conveyed our thoughts to the front desk, they did not even attempt to do provide an explanation nor suggest a compensation. - The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke everywhere. Despite common areas and some rooms being designated as non-smoking, some guests were seen smoking even at the reception area and lifts. There was absolutely no effort made at all by hotel staff to tell guests to abide by the rules. - While I understand that we are in China, we opted to stay at an international-branded hotel, thinking that staff would be able to speak some simple English. None of them that we met (even all of front desk staff) spoke a single word of English. Hence, I would advice those who do not speak Mandarin to avoid this hotel. If this is the standard to expect of the IHG brand of hotels, I will definitely avoid in the future, even in other parts of the world.

Breakfast was good

There was a strong stench of cigarette smoke in the lobby and in the rooms even though we chose three non-smoking rooms. Other than that, the rooms were clean. We booked the hotel because it came with a gym and pool facilities. However, we were dismayed to find out that they were taken over by another operator and guests were unable to use them. This should have been reflected on Booking.com clearly. There was also renovation happening right above our rooms for 3 consecutive days in the early morning (from 7.30am to 10am). This is despite feedback to reception that the contractor should start work at least after breakfast service is over, when most guests have woken up. Also, guests were not informed that there was going to be renovation, prior to the booking. Again, Booking.com should have made this clear on its website.

Clean room with friendly staff, but the location is bit far away from subway station. Take more than 10 minutes to reach the hotel.

Booking.com messed up AGAIN by providing yet another incorrect address for the hotel. This happens VERY often with Booking.com in China. This amongst other negligences on their part is why I will not be using this APP again. This review probably won’t get published, but if it does, I highly recommend this hotel.

For English speaking person, a little difficult but staff are very helpful with phone apps etc helping. Breakfast is very comprehensive and easy to select many different styles of breakfast taste. Excellent.

I recently spent 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Express and I would say that it is one of the better stays I have experienced at a Holiday Inn Express worldwide. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and fitness center was beyond what I had expected. Very reasonable rates. The Express line of hotel is usually very basic but this one exceeded that standard. I enjoyed that it was only 10 minutes to a metro station and quite an easy trip to downtown. Also only 10 minutes to major shopping and restaurants. Easy access by taxi to the airport. If I return to Chongqing I would consider staying here again.

We were a family of four and they did not seem to understand or able to give you a room that had beds large enough for two people to sleep in . In the end we took one mattress and places on floor and second child slept on box spring. Their answer was to put children in separate room. Not kosher! Reception was excellent friendly and helpful, but little English and everyone relied on phones for translation which did not work well at times. There is not much around hotel, some cheap dumplings places and a lot of hot spicy food. If you cant do spicy, not good. Hotel is 10 walk to subway and the subway system has English, so easy to use and get around. They say they have a pool, but it is really a separate club and they require bathing caps, pretty normal in china, which most westerners don't travel with, so we were out of luck with pool. Not impressed with that. Rooms clean, and nice, but very small. Never really got the restaurant thing. Was closed or sent away every time we went there, and reception had to come up and tell them we wanted to eat. The included breakfast was both Chinese and western and we thoroughly enjoyed. They scored points on this one!!

English is spoken but not understood. reason we stayed there was the room service because we don't speak or read chinese making hard to eat out without help. very disappointed because it is run by IHG and they are normally fantastic. not here. they did nothing about in house noise, walls are super thin. not a good stay

Not easy to find and not recommended for senior travellers. Public transportation is available but you need to walk; eg 10-15 mins walk to the nearest metro station at the Shin Kong place, at Jiazhou station. Incidentally, Shin Kong place is a beautiful shopping and food complex, which is worth a visit. The front desk speaks little English but I suggest they can improve by having better knowledge of their local area. The room is clean and bright but the carpet (colour) makes it look tired. If the Holiday Inn Express logo colour is used, it will improve greatly.

It is what it is and therefore you get what you get. It's clean, it's not luxurious, it's reasonable and it's perfectly fine for a night or two but anything longer might be tough. The pool was good and totally empty on our trip. English isn't spoken widely, if at all but it's centrally located. If you want to cross the road on foot do so with great caution as the drivers are crazy!

I stay here frequently when in Chongqing China. It is a good basic western style hotel.The front desk does speak a little English. If you can speak a little Mandarin or are with someone who does, it makes a big difference. The hotel staff is then quite responsive.

The staff were extremely friendly and helped us write down the places we wanted to go so we could show the taxi drivers. The rooms were clean, the bed was super comfy and the shower was massive. Would stay here again.

I arrived at midnight and the attendant quickly took me to the Check in desk. The reception was warm and friendly but I was so tired. Right away she upgraded me to the penthouse business class at the top 26th floor. I wonder if they were out of rooms? The only thing was she didn't know how to make my chip Visa card work so I paid cash. The room was huge with a living room and at least 2 couches. Huge floor to ceiling windows offered a spectacular view, but who needs that when you are tired. Just so much more to do, such as close curtains and find light switches before going to sleep. The entrance closet didn't have hangers but the bedroom closet did. It was 34degrees today and the air conditioning was not keeping it cooler than 25 degrees, so it was a bit hot for a good sleep. Check out went well and they called me a taxi and told the driver where I was going. The best part of my stay was the fast check in and check out with full attention to my travel plans.

Can't say I had a bad stay but also can't say it was a good stay in comparison with other HI Expresses in China. Room was fine although it was very dark. We were quite high up but there was still traffic noise although it didn't affect sleeping. Staff were nice enough and tried to be helpful although their English is limited (which was to be expected). Hey were good on getting us a taxi ob the last day and keeping us updated when it was delayed in traffic. Breakfast was ok but found this was more geared to chinese than other hotels in the group. Hotel is quite straight forward to find from transit system. Only stayed as we were cruising from the port but would recommend the Three Gorges Museum as really well laid out and interesting.

The room had a bad stench. We were a large group but only a few had only ONE problem and that was the smell in the rooms. The management changed the rooms promptly though and rest of the stay in a very rainy Chongqing was without event, Basic amenities were good and only the frustrating thing was that we couldn't use the pool despite it being on the 3rd floor.

I with my friends stayed at Holiday Inn Express Chongqing Jinxiucheng for 3 nights during Labor's Day vacation. The location of the property is around 15 minutes walk from Line 3 Jiazhou Road station, and around 5 minutes taxi ride for RMB10. The front desk staff was helpful and kind, and the free breakfast is available between 630-1030am with plenty of choice, including bread, fruits, Chinese porridge, steamed buns, salads, and some other hot dishes. Overall, the breakfast was decent, and fair to my expectation of Holiday Inn Express. One complaint was that the A/C system of the whole building. For the first two nights, the A/C didn't work properly in my room, and we had to wait for facility staff to fix the problem. Overall, this property was quite good with reasonable price. The location was a little far away from metro, but if decided to explore Chongqing by taxi, this hotel will be a good choice.

For less than £30 a night this hotel might be what you are looking for. Not the best location but still quite accessible from the north station and airport. The rooms are pretty standard Holiday Inn things. The cleaners need to be reminded that "do not disturb " does not mean hammer on the door. And the breakfast staff that threw away my breakfast whilst I visited the toilet, should not blame the customers. But it is still not a bad place for the price. Next door you will find lots of local food available 24/7 which is a bonus too.

Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. Location is not too big an issue for me as I have friends who drove me around but it is slightly off the grid according to them. Hotel is getting a bit old and you can see the wear and tear starting to show. Room itself is clean and sleep quality is fine, the aircon is only working as fan and no cold air at the moment. Checked with front desk and basically they do not turn it on yet, had the same issues with other IHG group hotels in China, not sure if it is a government policy or IHG, but it is quite annoying especially during daytime as temperature is already getting a bit hot in Chongqing. Overall a decent hotel but nothing to write home about.

The hotel is surrounded by motorways and there is no double glazing in any of the rooms. The restaurant had a good mix of European and Chinese food for breakfast. The cleaners were excellent and the room was always well presented. Sadly the reception staff were not interested in helping anyone who had any issues.

I had a wonderful two-day vacation staying at Holiday Inn Express in Chongqing. The hotel is very clean and the room is spacious. The only thing that is inconvenient is getting a taxi from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

I stayed in this hotel twice in the past month due its location being close to my office. The hotel is neat, slightly old and provides very basic breakfast. The coffee machine in the breakfast was not operating properly and there was no other possibility to have coffee in the morning. The windows in the room are very thin and there is noise even I have stayed in the higher floors. Shaving plug in the bathroom was out of order for both rooms I stayed, not fixed after I have mentioned that to the reception. Overall the bed is comfortable and the shower is powerful. This hotel is convenient and provides the basics a customer would like for a reasonable price.

I booked the Holiday Inn Express from the group site at IHG expecting location near the metro (which it states nearby) however the metro is a good half hour walk if you can find your way. On our way home from a day out in the city we relied in absence of a taxi on the help of a young man who literally escorted us back to the hotel to make sure we got in and refused politely our money in return for a taxi for himself. We are grateful to him but I was perturbed as to why I had booked this hotel at all which is amidst a vast city. Having stayed here I can say I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortability of the rooms in new modern surroundings a good three star hotel very clean and a good quality breakfast buffet I would say is four stars in comparison to other hotels. The customer service from front desk is very good the etiquette and manner impeccable and we were grateful to be able to leave our luggage with the hotel until a few days later to collect when we return leaving us hands free for our trip to Chengdu. So a thumbs up for the hotel and in comparison although I winge about the location it is a short taxi ride to both the local metro and main railway station which is Chongqing North about 10 and 20 yuan respectively or 1 and two pounds respectively. All in all a decent stay.

Subway is convenient if you can walk a bit - requires one change going almost anywhere that tourist goes, a solid 20 mins walk to Jiazhou station, big shopping, restaurants next door and a block over, clean, spacious, Chinese - no English, excellent Wifi nice spread for breakfast in a nice room of both Chinese and Western dishes
