So friendly, we have been here eight times, and it gets better every time. The food, the ambiance, and most of all, the fact that you are treated like family keeps bringing us back. Situated right on the beach along with the pool makes it great if you love the water as we do. With White Beach and Sabang just a short drive away, you are close to the action yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet that Badladz is known for. Badladz will provide transportation should you need it. Fun fact, Badladz is completely solar powered, making it very eco-friendly as well as brownout free!

We absolutely love staying at BadLadz. It’s quiet and peaceful during the week. And it’s so clean. There is a lot to do and also you don’t have to do anything if you don’t want. We love relaxing on their grounds in front of the restaurant by the beach. We loved diving with Volker. We love the food! The owner, Maylen, is wonderful! Hoping we can go back!

Badladz Beach and Dive Resort is een mooi hotel met allerlei leuke faciliteiten direct aan zee. Voor het hotel lag een mooi terras, voorzien van ligstoelen, tafeltjes met stoelen, hangmatten, directe toegang tot strand en zee, en een prachtig uitzicht. Voor wie niet in zee wil zwemmen lag er naast het hotel een mooi zwembad. De gastvrouw en haar team zijn echt super lief en staan van de eerste tot de laatste minuut voor je klaar om het je zoveel mogelijk naar je zin te maken.

De kamers waren heel klein. In de omschrijving op booking.com wordt over 15 vierkante meter gesproken maar hier stond een klein formaat tweepersoonsbed in en daar kon je net omheen lopen dus het zal al met al ca. 7 vierkante meter geweest zijn. Ook de badkamer was heel klein en benauwd. Alles was (op de mieren in de badkamer na) wel heel netjes schoon.

We loved the food, amenities, and being right on the beach. Staff was good. Watching the sunrise with that water breeze coming in was a dream.

Went with friends and family, first time out in Puerto Galera, not expecting too much. Checked in the hotel and immediately warmly and corteously. The rooms (4 rooms/4 days) are spacious, we got the ocean view with perfect view of the sunrise in the am. The linens smells good and the rooms are very clean. The property is beach front so its amazingly beautiful to see the sun rise as you stroll on the beach. The beach area is clean and very serene, unlike the crowded white beach hotels, this hotel is 15 min by tuktuk frim white beach and we prefer it that way. We felt the staff and the owner Maylen when out of their way to accomodate us and our wishes. Truly the best staff we've experienced in the Philippines and we've traveled a lot. I cant say enough how the resurant prepare and present their creations, not once did we ever think of eating anywhere else. Highly recommended. We will be back.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Wir haben dann für eine Suite nachbezahlt, die war gut. Sauber, mit Fenster und kleinem Balkon vor dem Zimmer im 2. Stock. Dennoch teuer für eine Unterkunft auf den Philippinen für das, was man bekommt. Lage am Meer mit Sandstrand sehr schön. Essen okay. Tauchen okay.

Wir hatten ein normales Zimmer für 2 Personen gebucht und waren absolut geschockt, als wir es gesehen haben. Kein Fenster und es hat schimmelig/feucht nach Chlor gerochen, man hat sich wie in einem Loch gefühlt. Das Zimmer war für uns nicht tragbar. Konnten dann in eine Suite wechseln, was sehr nett war. Dennoch eher lieblos und abgewohnt.

Ein Tauchresort direkt am Strand. Super nettes Personal, tolle Küche. Um jedes Anliegen wird sich sofort gekümmert.

Wenn man das Apartment bucht muß man mit Geräuschbelästigungen durch das Umfeld (bellende Hunde, Karaokepartys), oder die Funktionsräume rechnen. Über den Jahreswechsel waren viele Familien mit kreischenden Kindern im Resort.

Diving was bad, the dive instructor had terrible personal hygiene and was unprofessional. Tanks weren't properly full, gear was old and malfunctioning, zero instructions on dive sites etc. Not recommended as a dive site in PG. The supreme room was without a windows and had a strong moldy smell, so we got upgraded for free.

Privacy, peace and quiet. Convenient in terms of food availability.

Parking is a bit far from the main resort.

Really nice location by the sea with a decent beach right next to the hotel. Lovely yard with outdoor seating and relaxation area, and a nice pool as well. The hotel has a lot of various services and a good restuarnt and clearly aims at being a "one stop shop" for your holiday needs, so you can just stay days on ends here if you so please. Note that if you book with breakfast included, it's only a subset of the full breakfast menu included, but it's still pretty decent. We enjoyed the stay here.

Note that there are special restrictions on bringing food to your room, so if want to take half of your lunch or dinner out with you back if you can't eat it all, then this is not the hotel for you. Beaches in this area are less suited for kids as they get deep pretty fast.

Fantastische locatie met vriendelijke mensen en super eten

The indoor dining area is right on the beach, with windows all-around, and the outdoor lounge area is awesome (chairs, a hammock, covered dining areas, quality stonework steps down to the beach, and more). For the dinner I ordered, they substituted fish for pork -- very accommodating -- and the bar, with very reasonably priced beers and drinks, is 24 hours! This is a family run place with a happy, awesome staff. Badladz is founded by a female, and she has a legendary biography in her own right; read up on it, as it posted in the restaurant area. (Okay, certainly the hubby had a hand in it -- and what a great team.) The pool is the best ever with a waterfall in the corner that has sitting area behind it built for two, perfectly romantic, but even it you go alone, I assure you won't be let down. I only had two nights there, but I can't wait to go back.

The cappuccino is made from pre-fab packets, not a fresh ground coffee with real milk, but there a little port plaza nearby -- the one with Spanish galleon ship docked there for photo-ops -- where you can get top-notch coffee. It's a 150 peso trike ride to that spot, and very much worth the time.

Badladz is situated away from the "action" (of Sabang) and was quiet and peaceful. Situated right on the beach with a small garden it was easy to chill out and relax. Room was fine and was equipped with international electrical sockets (including USB ) which was a nice touch and convenient for charging etc. The menu was varied and food was good (just as well because there are not many alternative eating options). The on-site diving shop was great with good quality equipment for rental and a very competent dive master to lead a variety of dives close by. All in all a nice place to stay if you want a bit of peace and quiet.

Shower room is small and cramped but is adequate. There isnt much to do other than relax, eat and go diving (but that's fine if that's what you want to do)

Sehr gute Lage direkt am Strand, Tauchen war super! Tauchlehrer Volker und Micha waren spitze und es hat einfach nur Spaß gemacht. Tauchplätze sehr nahe . Personal war sehr zuvorkommen und die Zimmer sauber. Ich kann die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

There are no restaurants or tourist shopping in this location. There was construction from 7am to 4pm with considerable noise in the upstairs rooms.

This resort located in the shore of Puerto Galera is focused on divers. The diving in Puerto Galera is amazing by the way... The beach is morning special but nice if you're planing to do some snorkeling around.

Es gibt dort eigentlich alles, was man braucht: Eine saubere, gepflegte Unterkunft, gute Küche, nettes Personal, das sich um die Belange von seinen Gästen bestens kümmert und die Organisation rund ums Tauchen und anderer Aktivitäten (wie z.B. Massage, TucTuc, Motobikeausleihe etc.) klappt bestens... Und die Lage ist natürlich traumhaft... also rundum empfehlenswert...👍🏽

I picked the lowest cost room and it is smaller but still has a queen bed and a private bathroom with a shower and is big enough for one person or a couple. There's a safe in the room and the room is exceptionally clean which was fantastic. The staff were the nicest people and so helpful for anything like getting towels you can use for the beach (which is at the hotel) or pool so you dont need to bring the ones from your room and any questions you have they will help. The WiFi is also super fast which was very helpful. Wonderful place and wonderful stay. Will stay here again next year on my vacation!

Let's get some details out of the way before we talk diving. The resort is clean and comfortable, and a screaming good deal. Bring shampoo. The wifi worked in the room. They have a lovely beach area that feels private. You can walk safely along the beach some. And it's not a bad walk to a grocery store if you need supplies. This resort is nowhere near the sketchy parts of Sabang. Sean is infinitely patient with all the questions and information back and forth, many months before we booked and arrived. The staff was super nice, but not hovering like at some other places here. We felt super at home here. The food was fantastic. We recommend everything on the Mexican part of the menu because we tried it all. And if you order the fried banana, you can skip the next two meals. It was huge and good. Diving: Maps can be misleading if you’re trying to gauge the resort’s proximity to dive sites. I initially worried we might be far from the best spots, but I was completely wrong. Divers don't depart from the resort. You get into a van, ride for a couple minutes, and arrive at the modern Muelle Pier which is much closer to dive sites. That short ride puts you into a completely different neighborhood. The pier puts you very close to the action, with excellent macro spots just minutes away. And note, I said pier. That's a luxury when in a lot of places here you have to leap onto the boat or climb a ladder. The hired dive master gave 100 percent, keeping us safe and spotting great things under water. We had an equipment issue before diving, and he found us a repair person in a storefront the size of a closet who got the dive computer up and running again. The dive boat crew was something else. I don't want to create wild expectations, but they rank among the top boats we've ever been on. Apparently the captain has been working with Badladz for 17 years; that experience shows. They knew where everything was on the boat even when we did our best to lose things. Fine print, just in case you look at the date of this review: Most people avoid the Philippines in late October and November due to typhoons. Pros: we had the dive master, the boat and often even the dining room to ourselves. Cons: we lost diving days to storms both here and our next destination. Overall: a fantastic adventure, but we won’t visit during this season again. Obviously the weather has nothing to do with the resort, but I just note this in case you're looking at the dates people leave reviews about diving. To summarize, we highly recommend this resort for its comfort, food, friendly staff, and fantastic diving.

Das Personal ist super freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Aufgrund vom Taifun „Tino“ fuhren die Fähren nicht. Das Personal hat uns jederzeit informiert ob und wann die Fähre fährt und uns jederzeit mit einem Fahrer geholfen. Das Essen ist außerordentlich gut und sehr international, sowie die Getränkekarte. Die ganze Hotelanlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Man sollte nie vergessen, dass es in Asien ist. Es gibt 4 Liegen am Stand, was auf den Philippinen auch nicht selbstverständlich ist. Der Strand ist zwar nicht mit weißem Sand gesegnet aber wird jeden Tag gereinigt. Das Wasser ist sehr klar. Zusammenfassend würden wir jederzeit wiederkommen.

We loved our stay at Badladz. We had a King Ocean View Suite which was fantastic. The menu and food was exceptional and the staff were friendly and attentive. They could not do enough for you. The beach outside the resort was perfect. We will definitely return to Badladz.

Good food for a good price, the property is literally by the beach and it is not as crowded as White beach. The bar has service through the night and the staff at the lobby and restaurant are very helpful. If you just want to chill at the property, it has a nice view of the bay.

If you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful place to stay at Puerto Galera with accommodating and friendly staff, Badladz is the place to be! They have the amenities to make you feel at home and feel rejuvenated -- board games, pool, beach, food (tastes amazing and their menu has a variety of options), friendly and accommodating staff (shout out to Ate Ella, Ate Jonalyn, Ate Rina), and relaxing spa services by Ate Harmony, Ate Lei, and Ate Joan. Facilities were also well maintained, from restrooms, hallways, to the rooms. We definitely recommend this place!

The view, the sound of the waves every morning when I was relaxing on the terasa drinking my coffee, the swimming pool, food, drinks, the room.

The fact that between the relaxing area outside of the room, where is the beach view, is not a wall or something to don't see the neighbors. It's very annoying the fact that you hear them every time entering or closing their door, staying outside of the room late at night and drinking and talking loud, but is more annoying to see them also. The personall of the hotel should make rounds in the hotel after 22 pm to tell to the guest that ,they need to be silent to don't disturb the other guest near them ,and if they want to continue to go inside of the room or to don't make noise cuz they are not alone there. Everyone came for relaxing and having fun, but you need to don't be idiot and to think that you are not alone there and you have people checked in next to your room.

The beach could be improved, such as cleaned. The correct pool chlorination process was a doubt as the staff was pouring raw powdered chlorine and not testing the levels. It has been strong and my son got an allergic reaction.

The hotel is in quiet location away from the crowd but just a short ride away from Muelle Bay where the boat tours start. Breakfast was great and other dishes on their menu was also good we ended up having lunch and dinner too at their restaurant.

The ground floor room was big but our room in the second floor was cramped.

Just got back from an 11 day stay at Badladz in Puerto Galera, Philippines. We had an absolute amazing time. Started the process 6 months ago and Sean (Owner) answered emails in a very thorough and quick way. I had a ton of questions and he answered all of them. The Resort: Quaint and Boutique is how I would describe it. The location is away from Sabang and the party atmosphere. It was a unique experience in that everything we had to pay for, just went on our room tab. That included diving, spa treatments, excursions. Diving: They don't own their own boats, but do own the dive shop that is located next to the main lobby. Why do I mention this? They have a dedicated dive instructor on site and when it is time to dive, we drive 5 minutes to the port and get right on the boat. Staff handles all the gear from transporting it, setting it up, and rinsing it. If you want to do it your self you can, but it was nice to have them do it. Diving in Puerto Galera is excellent with the Verde Island trip being the highlight of the week. Getting there: There are several different options ranging from public bus to private vans, slow ferry or fast ferry or private speedboat. We chose private and Sean set everything up for us. Food: Restaurant was excellent. Service was excellent. You are not in the USA so our normal expectations don't apply. Food always came out hot. They serve Mexican, American, Filipino foods and all the portions were good size. Prices were comparable to the restaurants in town. Spa: Our group had 8 different sessions. All super professional and very good at what they do. Manicure/pedicure is slightly different than the US. Extras: The resort setup the island tour to some waterfalls for us (charged to our room). They also had a local tattoo artist come in and do tattoos for people (paid artist direct). If we needed a tuk tuk, they would call for us. If I went back to Puerto Galera I would definitely choose Badladz again.

Great resort, wonderful staff, extremely accommodating and very clean. The food is amazing also quite beach access. The dive shop is top notch. You won’t get hassled by people like in sabang. I will only stay at badladz from now on when visiting puerto galera. Oh and the beer is ice cold!
