I wish I could share a great review however this hotel hurts more than it helps you to enjoy, it’s straight out dirty, under staffed, service is below par, expect no valet parking, no famous Thai smiles and a 30m+ check in, a new key will take +10m and getting menus on the restaurant 10+m despite being totally empty I feel bad for the staff, when asking for a wine opener, staff member shared they have to buy their own and that he can’t borrow it. I am titanium elite and was told on arrival that no upgrades were available despite over 10 room categories showing availability online, a straight out lie which made me incredibly upset, the pool gutter around the main pool is broken and so are the tiles the condition of the rooms are unsellable with holes and broken wood panels moldy grouting, in room and mainpool etc etc where do I stop.. this hotel should be deflagged and is not worthy of carrying the Marriott flag. I have worked for 18 years in the hotel industry and have never experienced anything alike, feel truly sorry for GM, hotel team and most importantly for the guests who spend their hard earned money. I decided to depart after experiencing my most horrifying stay having stayed 1000+ nights in hotels

We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Rayong. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Most importantly, the service we received was exceptional. I would especially like to recognize Sam from the Front Office. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel truly welcome. She was kind, professional, and attentive, creating a warm connection that made us feel valued as guests. Sam handled everything with confidence and genuine care, always willing to help and ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. Her positive attitude and outstanding hospitality truly made a difference. She is a wonderful ambassador for Marriott, and we are grateful for the excellent service she provided. Thank you, Sam, and thank you to the entire Marriott Rayong team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future.

Vi bestilte pizza som roomservice , men der gik 2 timer inden de blev leveret. Hotellet ligger lidt øde , men med taxa er det selvfølgelig altid nemt at komme rundt.

A special thank you to Khun Mew, Khun AumAim, and the Front Office team for the thoughtful surprise birthday cake and the beautiful handwritten birthday message on the mirror. It was such a memorable and heartwarming gesture that made our stay extra special. We would also like to thank the Room Service team. Every interaction was excellent—the team was well-trained, attentive, friendly, and always provided service with a smile. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The beach is clean and peaceful, the swimming pool is perfect for relaxing, and we especially loved the live music by the beach in the evening, which created an amazing atmosphere. We recently spent our company outing at the Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa, and honestly, it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The moment we stepped into the gorgeous, breezy open-air lobby, we felt instant vacation vibes. We were even warmly welcomed by the hotel's General Manager, Khun Ally, which was such a thoughtful and classy touch that set the tone for our entire stay. The property is beautifully maintained throughout, making it a joy to explore. Our room on the 10th floor had a spectacular sea view, and we spent hours just relaxing on the cozy daybed while watching the ocean. The room itself is fully loaded with everything you could possibly need for a holiday, and the bathroom setup is excellent, featuring a deep bathtub alongside a separate shower and toilet. The resort's facilities and dining completely blew us away. The swimming pool is massive and looks right out over the sea, so we had the best time catching up and enjoying happy hour right by the water. For dinner, we headed to Fishbar, which turned out to be a total culinary highlight. The food was exceptional, and the team there managed to be both highly professional and incredibly warm and friendly. To top it all off, the morning breakfast buffet was amazing, offering a huge variety of genuinely tasty food, fresh juices, and delicious bakeries to choose from. If you're planning a perfect vacation or a memorable group trip, I cannot recommend this resort enough!

We had such a wonderful experience at Marriott Hua Hin that we decided to give Marriott Rayong a try. While I imagine this property was once a beautiful resort, it now feels dated and poorly managed. One of the biggest drawbacks is its remote location. The resort is situated in a very isolated area, which gave the property a somewhat eerie atmosphere, especially since occupancy appeared to be extremely low during our stay (June 7th-10th). We seemed to be the only guests on our floor, making the hotel feel almost deserted at times. We were also assigned a corner room (721), which I personally wasn't fond of due to my own superstitions. **Pool & Beach** The standout feature of the resort is undoubtedly its enormous swimming pool, which is impressive and remains the property's greatest asset. Unfortunately, the pool area itself appeared poorly maintained. The water did not seem particularly clean, and there were no staff members available to assist with towels or setting up lounge chairs. Adding to the atmosphere was an abandoned-looking property adjacent to the pool area, which further contributed to the feeling of neglect. The beachfront was also disappointing. The beach in front of the resort was littered with debris and washed-up trash, and it did not appear to be regularly cleaned or maintained. I was surprised that more effort was not made to keep the beachfront in better condition, as it has the potential to be a beautiful feature of the property. **Food & Service** The resort operates almost like a self-service hotel. While the restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and pleasant throughout our stay, the food itself was average at best. Interestingly, the Western dishes were noticeably better than the Thai cuisine, which was surprising given that we were in Thailand. I expected the local dishes to be a highlight, but they ultimately fell short of expectations. **Overall** Overall, the property feels outdated and lacks activities or entertainment, making it a rather quiet and uneventful destination. On our final night, we heard what sounded like furniture being dragged across the floor around midnight, along with intermittent tapping noises that we could not identify. As someone who is quite superstitious, I found it unsettling and struggled to sleep that night. This resort may appeal to local travelers looking for a quiet getaway, but in its current condition, it falls short of the standards I typically associate with an international Marriott property. The hotel would greatly benefit from room renovations, improved maintenance, increased staffing, and better upkeep of its facilities and beachfront. With the right investment, I believe this property could once again become the beautiful resort it was likely intended to be. For a property marketed as a five-star resort, the overall experience simply did not reflect that level of quality. Between the dated rooms, lack of maintenance, limited service, unkempt beachfront, and overall atmosphere, I would personally rate this property closer to a three-star hotel. The resort has potential thanks to its large pool and beachfront location, but significant improvements are needed before it can truly meet the expectations associated with a five-star Marriott property.

The option of two pools is great, and breakfast choices and quality are exceptional. I really like the expansive gardens and the range of facilities. The restaurant food tastes great, too. Staff are very polite and friendly.

Unfortunately, the beach is covered in litter washed up, and they need to work as a community of all beachfront properties to ensure the beach is cleaned regularly as some properties do, and others are quite disgusting. I also am not a fan of seeing a lonely rabbit in an enclosure with a concrete floor. The child's pool area has been out of order for some time, I hope it is fixed for our next stay.

The hotel is beautiful and specially the SPA amazing.

Facilities are outdated and often unclean. Beach is full of garbage, pool is gross. They have an extra charge for everything and always have added service fees. Do not recommend. Much better places to stay at than this.

Always a pleasure to stay at this hotel!

The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. The room was larger than expected. I like the sliding door that separate the bed room and the bathroom. We can leave it open to get the feeling of the large room. The swimming pool was very large so it was not crowded at all.

After the check-in, the staff told us to leave the luggage with them, they would bring our bags to the room later. However, I wait for an hour in the room but my bag wasn’t arrived. So my husband went to get it himself, then he found that our bag was left there unattended. It’s ok, we can take our bag to the room by ourselves, but if you said you would handle it for us, you should do as you said so.

Loved the place and facilities. The pools are amazing. We were lucky to have a jazz festival there. The room is amazing and spacious. They allow pets

All staff are friendly and polite here. We met a very nice guy "Yana" at the lounge. He was so nice so we spent our time there chatting with him while enjoying beer promotion. Pool and sliders here are the must. We really enjoy our time until sunset then take some rest and relax at fish bar. Truly recommend this hotel if you plan to spend time in the hotel as lots of things to do.

The beach are is not good enough, just a few sun beds and some umbrellas, they have a beautiful beach on their doorstep and should make it a selling point, more umbrellas, trees, sun beds, a bar by the beach would make it a lot better. Also the on site restaurants were expensive, lack of choices and overall low quality food and drinks.

Marriott Rayong is a solid choice if you’re traveling with family and looking for a relaxed, resort-style stay. The hotel is about 30 minutes from Rayong town, so it feels pretty removed from the busy areas. That can be a downside if you’re hoping to explore or have lots of dining options nearby, since there isn’t much around the hotel itself. But if your goal is to unwind and stay put, the location works in your favor. One of the highlights is the pool area. It’s large, kid-friendly, and comes with water toys you can rent that keep children entertained for hours. Being right next to the beach is another plus, making it easy to switch between pool time and the sea without any hassle. Breakfast is definitely a strong point. There’s a good variety, and the quality is consistently solid. Service is okay overall, not exceptional, but reliable enough for a comfortable stay. Overall, it’s not the place to go if you want nightlife or easy access to the city, but for families looking for a quiet getaway with good facilities for kids, it does the job well.

The staff at the restaurant in the lobby was weird and rude. Dead lizards everywhere. Huge ones too just around small gecko in walls.

The staffs are helpful. They welcomed our family warmly. The property is clean with a cheerful beach vibe. The room is super clean and nice. Worth the vacation.

Alles in die Jahre gekommen. Schlechte Instandhaltung. Sauberkeit im Bad muss besser sein. Oberflächlich sieht alles ok aus, aber bei genauerem hinsehen sieht man überall abgenutzte Ecken. Keine Liegen und defekte Beleuchtung am Strand.

Die Zimmer sind toll eingerichtet. Erker mit Liegemöglichkeit ist super. Betten sind breit und angenehm weich. Die Pools sind groß aber sehr flach. Liegen waren unter der Woche genügend aber am Wochenende etwas knapp. Aussicht aufs Meer wunderbar.

Balkon leider zu klein und ohne bequeme Sitzgelegenheit. Ohne Auto sitzt man fest. Die Umgebung gibt nichts her. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit.

Nice rooms, with very comfortable beds. King room was big, with an interesting bathroom set up. Breakfast was very tasty, wide variety to suit all tastes and decent coffee. Pool was big with lots of room, and the other pool looked nice when we eventually found it.

Our room wasn't ready until 30 minutes past the official check-in time, which might be understandable if the hotel was busy, but it wasn't. Parts of the grounds are jaded and undergoing a revamp, and signage isn't very helpful. Some maps around the property would have been handy. The beach is surprisingly dirty in general. Nicer sand on nearby Koh Samet.

The property was beautiful and the biggeste pool i’ve ever seen. The water was beautiful and there were lots of space to soaked up the sun. It was close to the beach but the first day, the beach has some trash that has been washed up and im guessing the workers removed it.

It was quite far from the city, but you could easily get a grab or bolt

This was our favourite stay in Thailand and we have been more than 15 times! This time we travelled with our 2 year old and this hotel is perfect if you are looking for a place to relax. The design is amazing and the rooms are huge with super comfy bed, sofa and bath. The resort is really well looked after and super clean. There are 3 pools, slides, swings, kids club, everything you need. The beach it is in is quiet and you can easily walk to other placed to eat. Getting there was really easy from Bangkok. The staff were all so so friendly and the breakfast is so yummy.

We have enjoyed our time here. The hotel is located outside the city, which is ideal for those who want to find some peaceful moment.

Mini-break for 3 days at the Rayong Marriott Resort and Spa is to be highly recommended for couples, but less so for families especially those with teenagers. We really enjoyed the option of swimming in the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand or in the vast and cleverly shaded pool that is right on the beach. The staff were hugely welcoming. Special mention goes to Khun Aof, the duty manager in the breakfast room each morning we were there: he was hard-working, proactive, very busy anticipating his guests' needs, and doing it all with an engaging smile. The wide choice of food catered for many international tastes. Two problems: the hotel was being refurbished and the entrance area from the car-park was quite a mess, and the check-in / check-out process was inordinately inefficient. The conference facilities look good but fortunately we were not there for a conference.

This resort offers something increasingly rare: space—the kind that makes you instinctively slow down your pace (and possibly your emails). The property is large enough to genuinely breathe, with lush greenery in a calm area that feels miles away from the bright lights and soundtrack of Pattaya (which, luckily, is still very close if you ever miss the noise). The service? Absolutely excellent. Every staff member seems to have mastered that rare art of knowing what you need just before you do—without being too formal or too familiar. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you wonder if they secretly trained at a five-star empathy academy. There are several eateries to choose from, including a beachside restaurant near one of the three swimming pools. This one is about 35 meters long—serious swimmers will love it, while others can enjoy the many areas designed for relaxation. The food is delicious, and the view is so relaxing it should probably come with a warning: “May cause sudden happiness.” The sea is only a few steps away, with a thoughtful hotel sign reminding guests to watch out for the occasional jellyfish (a discreet reminder that nature is still in charge here—and that awareness is part of the experience). There is also a little café on-site, another gem—great poke bowls for when you’re being sensible, ice cream for when you’re not, and cappuccinos made with visible affection. TV channels include international and French ones (in case you feel the sudden need for familiar voices). In the main restaurant next to the reception, breakfast offers both a wide international buffet with something for every preference and three morning news flyers—a perfect balance between indulgence and information. Evenings end beautifully at the cozy bar, the kind of place where time seems to go missing but your smile doesn’t. It’s clear that a very attentive general manager is behind all this—I even saw her helping at the reception desk when things got busy. That’s leadership by example, and it shows in every detail. All in all, it’s a perfectly pleasant alternative, just about three hours from Bangkok. It also works perfectly as a base for a day trip to Koh Samet; the pier is only 30 minutes away—close enough to be convenient, far enough to feel like a proper escape.
