Convenient location
The door to the room would not shut
No breakfast available at the hotel.
Air conditioning & dust swept up from the floor
Location was good.
Greeting was sparse. No information on location, room, facilities or even a warm welcome. Bathroom was not clean. There was no hot water or electricity. No one on site to speak to. When someone did arrive and I hold her about there being no electricity or hot water, it was evident she didn’t believe me.
Great location on Malmesbury high street and the stable houses were beautifully decorated.
Entry to the parking is incredibly tight, but expected! Bathroom (floor and walls) could be a little cleaner
Average
Room was lovely and nice location
Was a little dirty but had house keeping come and fix it
Location and on site parking
Floor in the bathroom needed a deep clean More storage for clothes, ie a small drawer unit Additional chair Not a criticism of the hotel but the narrow entrance to the car park through the hotel may be difficult for less confident drivers or those with large cars.
Functional room with all the basics in place. Central location on High Street however…
Access to parking very tight archway, hot water took ages to come through ( never got it at the sink); bed mattress was very hard; bathroom flooring looked like it needed a good scrubbing; host transactional. Importantly we got informed 2 days before arrival that we had to clear the car park by 0945 as there would be a street carnival. As it turned out we collected our car from previous night’s venue and returned to collect luggage only to find at 0910 we could not get close to collect our bags. Worked around this however when I tried to drop off the key the host was not there and sauntered down to finally get the key with no niceties re stay or apologies.
Great location, suitable room for an overnight stay.
Beds were not very comfortable.
Location was great and the hotel car park was very useful. The stable block room was very nicely done and comfy.
In the heat of this year it would have been a small addition to put a fan in the room - the heatwave has been going on for weeks, so I don't get why they don't already have them in the rooms. Plus, the stable block is basically in the car park with a seating area for quite a number of people at the far end, overlooking the valley. This means that there is noise coming from that area and people walking to and from the pub to get drinks until closing time, at 11pm. So it can be noisy, especially if you're trying to get to sleep before pub closing time, and it was far too hot to close the window as the room retained much of the days heat (hence needing a fan).
The location was brilliant & there was parking on site which is always a plus. The room was lovely & clean & bed very comfortable.
There were one or 2 basics missing from the room, a hair dryer which we feel should be standard & there was no room fan, which again we would expect to be a basic essential now days. Also we did understand the reasons why but such a shame in the height of summer residence couldn’t sit out quietly in the beer garden & enjoy a late night drink
The room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. The location was excellent.
The booking.com website said that there was no parking at the hotel so we found a long stay car park and walked to the hotel. When we arrived we were told that there was parking available there.
Great location
location, value, clean, bar, and people
rooms are very small
Tea facility in the room, relatively modern.
Very bare room no wardrobe or chest of drawers to store clothes, ok for 1-2 nights but not for longer, no hair dryer, I also don’t believe it was clean properly could tell by the bathroom toilet seat and flooring in the room. Very tight driveway into car park. Tv would not connect to the internet.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable . Character property
Tight parking. Bit noisy
In Malmesbury
Was in annex in car park. Party going on until 11pm then people talking and shouting until after midnight. No expectation of that when booking
friendly clean good location in town everything was thought out nicely
this is not a reflection on the property but i would not stay in a pub as we stay for work and need early sleep so bear this in mind if booking
Nice spacious room. Big bathroom and shower. Very clean. Comfortable stay for one night.
No breakfast.
Nice pub attached to the rooms
It was the hottest day of the year and I do feel like a fan should have been offered as the heat made sleeping uncomfortable and being on ground floor we couldn’t leave the windows open .
Being in the quite stable well thought out
If you provided breakfast. That would have topped it off nicely
Location, parking and comfortable
Very clean, comfortable beds, good shower and great location in the centre of Malmesbury. Good secure storage for push bikes.
No hair dryer. No decaffeinated coffee or tea. Expensive given that no breakfast was available.
Good location. Nice clean room
No hot water so couldn’t have a shower
Great location in middle of Malmsbury with on site parking. Room was in block separate from main building, overlooking car park but view from end of car park was spectacular. Room was cool considering we stayed in middle of heatwave. Meals available in the pub were primarily tapas based which were nice. Plenty of other places to eat in High street. Would recommend the bird cage pizza restaurant.
Reception chap was a bit grumpy.
Very clean & furnished lovely ideal
It was a heatwave very hot evening so asked in the pub for a fan which was put in our room straight away But made little impact no one’s fault
Incredibly central and friendly.
Nothing
Comfy and clean room
Shower head and door needing fixing No breakfast
Right in the centre, tight through the arch but got Mercedes in after folding mirrors. Staff very helpful & choice if 3 breakfast places within 2 mins. Had excellent meals at The Greyhound, Italian next door & Roost restaurants.
All good , rooms 16 & 17 get more shade if weather hot
Beautiful and characterful building in a great location
Rooms were clean and airy, shower was great - We stayed in Stable Block
The location and town of Malmesbury were lovely. The room was nice and tidy and nicely decorated.
There was no hairdryer, and the beds creaked every time you moved during the night, which was very annoying and would wake the other person up.
The fact the rooms are converted stables and the view out the back!
Location was perfect. Staff were friendly. Beautiful view from the terrace
No breakfast available. Small room
Breakfast - Not available Staff were very pleasant and tried to be helpful. Rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The pub had charm but had very uncomfortable high seats in the bar.
BREAKFAST WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN A HOTEL!! Dinner finished at 8.00pm and we missed it by minutes, very disappointing. The staff would not allow us to bring pizzas in to the beer garden, from a nearby restaurant which we felt was very disappointing, especially as we were spending considerable money at the bar. The single beds in one of our rooms were very narrow and added to a poor nights sleep.
Very clean comfortable room. Great bed. Everything we needed. Perfect location and no noise issues. Warm welcome on arrival.
Nothing really although it would be nice to have a breakfast option but we knew in advance they didn’t provide breakfast. They did however recommend a lovely cafe very nearby!
All good thank you,
Nothing
No breakfast provided, as no restaurant, so question re 'facilities' is not really valid. It is just 'bed' only -fine by us.
Narrow entrance to car park!
We liked the location, the ambience, the friendly staff, the restaurant food & wide selection of drinks.
The narrow entrance to the car park! Being a coaching Inn, we appreciate nothing can be done about this, but we would have liked the check-in staff member to tell us it was a possibility, before regaling us with details of local & not-so-local car parks! We would also have liked to have some instant coffee sachets & a hairdryer in our room.
Great Location- nice bar
The room was cold ( but it was April)
Classic looking pub with rooms above. Nice bar
Very low water pressure, no hot water one morning
There was no breakfast. But location was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Would recommend
Tapas menu was good but lacked side salads or vegetable options. Access to car park is tight.
Lovely clean room
Comfy, cosy hotel right in the heart of Malmesbury. Super friendly, helpful staff. Perfect for visiting the Cotswolds. We stayed to attended Badminton Horse Trials which was a 25minute drive away so very well situated.
Nothing really, although my car was too wide to access the carpark!
Very little.
Almost everything
Welcoming helpful staff. Lovely room. Super location

Choices on the menu
Room was very clean and tidy well thought out
Very loud! Lots of young people drinking outside making it hard to sleep after a long day out exploring... you can also hear people running up and down the corridor
Staff were lovely
Bathroom was dirty, there was a gap under the window, cobwebs in the room
Nice pub with comfortable beds. Great locations for our overnight stop over
No breakfast available but a lovely bakery next door and a couple of coffe shops nearby
L'emplacement Chambre typique anglaise Literie Machine à café
Accueil rapide et expéditif Insonorisation
Location
No breakfast option
Comfortable room good facilities
Noisy until the pub shut Could do with a small armchair in room
We were just looking for a place to overnight and needed ground floor access with shower. This little pub popped up in a very short list of options. It was a gem, converted stables behind the pub, comfortable bed, very adequate pub meal at a good price. No breakfast, but the host pointed us to the local early opening cafe which was close and perfect.
Nothing really, even the super narrow entry to the unit block was manageable!
Everything was enjoyable
The toilet seat was broken
Nothing unfortunately
Room was tiny, bright lights outside bedroom window. Noise from the pub clientele until 01h00 in the morning, includes slamming pub doors every few minutes. Bed sloping. Did not get much sleep unfortunately.
Location was excellent, parking available, pub was lovely. Rooms were clean and staff were lovely.
Rooms in main building very small, no storage and bathroom/shower very small. Also if we stay again would only stay in stables as the noise from the main road on the Saturday night made sleep very difficult until gone 2am. Also room very bright due to street lights. A few things need fixing in the rooms like blinds, cleanliness etc.
Location
A bit chilly
Nice stay
A bit chilly
Location was brilliant for the town. Accommodation was comfortable and the addition of the coffee machine was good. All the fittings were of good quality.
It would be helpful if people were informed that the entrance to the car park was down a narrow tunnel. It would be challenging for a large car or SUV - we had to retract our wing mirrors.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the location is central to the town and local community, the room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The food was amazing and freshly cooked to order and great value for money.

Closeness to town
Windows single glased Heating poor and it was a freezing night Bathroom small no plug in sink Room was cold and damp
Location is excellent. Good parking. Bar and public space ok.
Cold room. Sliding toilet seat. Room was not serviced apart from replacement towels over 2 night stay. Neglected.
Very good location, with a big parking space. Unfortunately I was there for work and I didn't go around much, but it seems to be close to all attractions. The room was big and warm, with a powerful shower. Staff was very nice and helpful!
Cleanings could improve a bit, but overall it was clean.
