We arrived and asked about evening meals, all was fine , but when we went to book an evening meal we were told there was no availability at all (nor was there at the nearest pub which they recommended) .

The George and Dragon was a good base to attend the Bristol Balloon Fester over the weekend. Being away from Bristol!

A nice find for an overnight stay before flying from Bristol airport. We had a nice meal. The room was clean and comfortable. 5 minutes from the airport.

Nothing to complain about. If we'd have been staying longer than one night it would have been good to have more storage space. But it was fine for us.

- Delicious Sunday roast as well as pizza from a real wood-fired oven! - Close proximity to the airport with many taxis available even at early hours. - A brown-bag breakfast to take with you when leaving early.

- Quite a dangerous route to go on foot from the closest bust stop to the hotel (no pavement).

The venue has a real old fashioned charm, the staff are very helpful and work hard, we enjoyed a wonderful pub meal which was brilliant value for money. Our bedroom was a great size and clean, we loved the breakfast boxes

An excellent place to stay before an early morning flight from Bristol Airport. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet which ensured we got a decent nights sleep. We also had a fan to keep us cool as we stayed during a heatwave. We also appreciated the snack style breakfast items that we took with us to the airport; this was a lovely touch. Excellent meal in the pub and served by very friendly staff.

The staff were amazing and even left us breakfast to take away due to our early flight. We had dinner there, and the food was out of this world.

Obviously you are close to the airport and our room was road facing so quite noisy..

Room a little small but ok as only for sleeping! Local taxi company quoted £57 for 4 min drive one way to airport which makes the good George and Dragon £5 per night for parking while away an expensive package.

We chose this hotel because of proximity to airport. However, on arrival by bus at airport we were charged £35 for a taxi each way, which we should have been warned about by the hotel beforehand. It was absolutely outrageous for a 3 minute drive. We may as well have booked an airport room. On arrival at hotel it was easy to check in to a ground floor room as I’d requested, and the room was fine, and coffee & breakfast etc facilities generous . We went to the bar for a drink and the bar girl was extremely rude and offhand. She couldn’t be bothered to even turn around and greet us, just her back to us asking what we wanted .it put us off having a meal there or even another drink, so they lost out as our friends took us out to another venue because of her., luckily they had a vehicle as it is not walking distance to go anywhere else.She was also rude to another customer in front of us. No personal touch from the owners either , they could have greeted us as a gesture. Not good business in hospitality!!

The rooms overlook the main road so there is a lot of traffic noise. The planes were ok as they stop overnight but the road noise made it difficult to sleep.

Das Zimmer war zwar klein, aber rational eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war ein Lunchpaket, das uns gereicht hat. Die Betten waren gut und die Dusche hat gut funktioniert. Das dazugehörige Pub hat sehr gutes Essen.

Es war sehr laut, bis um 1 Uhr nachts herrschte pausenloser Autoverkehr den man auch durch das geschlossene Fenster sehr gut hört.

Every thing , Been staying here for years. John the landlord can not do enough to make your stay excellent. Food is absolutely beautiful. Staff are a credit to John. Cleaners make sure the accommodation is spotless.

Great location for Bristol airport We only stayed for one night as travelling really early next morning . Was a lovely touch having the breakfast pack in our room . Room compact but clean and comfortable.The pub was amazing , full of character , great beer and we came on steak night which I honestly can say was the best steaks I’ve had in a while ! Highly recommend eating there if you get a chance . All the staff were very friendly and attentive . Would Definetly stay again and recommend .

The location to the airport is excellent, very close, but far enough away to not be noisy from the planes. Very good food and drinks, very welcoming staff, rooms were excellent including a breakfast bag for the early start.

Very close to the airport but off the main road. The room was accessible even after midnight on the ground floor. Big parking space in front. A few nice things for breakfast were thoughtfully provided in the room. Very clean and everything you need after a long day of travelling was there.

If you don’t have a problem with an old charming house this is your affordable choice near the airport. Only thing not too enjoyable was the 5min yet 35£ taxi ride to the property.

Stayed here so many times as it’s so close to Bristol airport. I have stayed pre and post flight and the owners have always been very accommodating with my requests. The breakfast box left in the room has always been very welcomed and is great for the good price of the accommodation. Good, free parking facilities. Will continue to use this accommodation and would recommend it to anyone wishing to be near the airport for early morning flights.

There were no little shower gel or soap to use .a mini fridge would have been ideal to store bottled waters in and milk

The room was a little small side but we managed,the bathroom was adequate. Good idea to have a fan available given the temperature outdoors that day. Nice thought to have a 'to go breakfast' in the room for the following day. We used the hotel as an over night stop before carrying on with our journey to the South.

The prices of food & beer in the hotel were on the expensive side.

La communication avant notre arrivée (le mail attendu devant nous indiquer notre chambre ne nous est pas parvenu, pas de réponse à nos mails ni à nos téléphones). Très bruyant la nuit (route, avions,sortie de la climatisation juste à côté de notre fenêtre).

it was not a great location to walk to with a suitcase, as there was no footpath. On the way back I got a lift to the main road so I could walk to the airport safely.

Tylko bliskość do lotniska i dobre choć drogie jedzenie w pubie. No i produkty do zjedzenia na śniadanko, ale nie było wody mineralnej a ta w pubie byla bardzo droga.

Bardzo niebezpieczne dojście z przystanku autobusowego do obiektu (wąska droga z zakrętami, z żywopłotami, bez pobocza i bez chodnika, omal nie zostałam przejechana). Pokój jest na parterze z jednym oknem wychodzącym na parking z autami przy samym oknie, i z drugim wychodzącym na ogródek pubu z hałasem do nocy. Skrzypiące bardzo łóżko. Skrzypiace nad głową schody, po których w środku nocy schodzili ludzie spieszący się na lotnisko (miałam 3 pobudki w nocy :( ) Brak wody mineralnej w pokoju a ta z kranu była nie smaczna. Tak więc pokój był drogi a komfort żaden :(

Great for an airport stay……..only a few mins drive to the airport so ideal for us as had v early flight. Room was small but comfortable and quiet - thankfully had a fan as we were there during the heatwave so that was v much needed! There were porridge pots left for the morning along with some pastries/biscuits which was a nice touch as could take with you. We ate in the pub, food was good - would stay here again for an early flight from Bristol - good value too!

Easy access to nearby parking was the reason for booking and accommodation was small but adequate. Food and drink in the pub was good and staff very helpful.

Wow what a fabulous stay. The staff were warm, kind, friendly and so funny. Our Room was everything we expected. Clean, cosy and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant the night before and the food was fantastic. The breakfast boxes were an added bonus. We highly recommend The George & Dragon.
