The location was great. In my opinion, Platis Gialos is one of the best places to stay in Sifnos. The beach is genuinely just a 2-minute walk away, and you have everything you need nearby, including markets, restaurants, bars, and bakeries. The rooms also have a very large terrace overlooking the garden, which is a great place to relax and hang out.

One small downside was that the windows were a little difficult to open, and since there were no mosquito screens, we preferred to keep them closed most of the time. As a result, the room felt a little dark during the day, but the outdoor area made up for it, as we spent most of our time in the garden anyway.

Nous avons apprécié les petits paniers de bienvenue. La plage à proximité, ainsi que l arrêt de car à 3 minutes pour visiter l' île. Personnel très sympathique,ne pas hésiter à demander des conseils pour les randonnées. Le calme aussi du lieu ,et pourtant les restaurants en bord de plage sont à proximité. Terrasse très agréable.

Ενα δωμάτιο με ωραία αυλή και μπαλκονακι σε καλή τοποθεσία πολύ κοντά στην θάλασσα και σε μαγαζιά φούρνο,μίνι μάρκετ κλπ υπήρχε και χώρος για παρκινγκ έξω από το κατάλυμα

Αλλά δυστυχώς η πρώτη εντύπωση που μας άφησε αυτό το κατάλυμα δεν ήταν και η καλύτερη που θα μπορούσαμε να έχουμε μας ενημέρωσαν ότι το τσεκ ιν μπορεί να γίνει μεταξύ 15:30 -16:00 15:20 φτάσαμε στο κατάλυμα ανοίγουμε το δωμάτιο…δεν είχε καθαριστεί από τους προηγούμενους επισκέπτες ενημερωθήκαμε ότι θα είναι έτοιμο σε 1,5 μισή ώρα δηλαδή στις 17:00 και μας ζήτησαν να βγάλουμε και τα πράγματα μας από μέσα με όχι και τόσο ευγενικό τρόπο…στην τελική η καθαρίστρια ήρθε να καθαρίσει το δωμάτιο 16:00 και μπήκαμε στο κατάλυμα μας στις 18:00. Εκτός αυτού το σπίτι δεν είναι value for money 120€ το βράδυ με μπάνιο απίστευτα μικρό ντουζιέρα ανύπαρκτη σχεδόν πλενόσουν στην λεκάνη της τουαλέτας … αν δίναμε 80€ το βράδυ θα έλεγα μια χαρά αλλά για 120€….

Όμορφο studio ευρύχωρο με μπαλκόνι που έβλεπε σ' ένα όμορφο κτήμα με ελαιόδεντρα . Η πρόσβαση στην κοσμοπολίτικη παραλία του Πλατύ γιαλού με τα πόδια ηταν 3 λεπτά. Εξαιρετικοί οι οικοδεσπέτες. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα.

The location was just perfect. 3 min walk from the beach! The accommodation had everything we need.

Shower can be quite small for some people, but they have an alternative open air just outside the flat.

Quiet area with a huge outside area but still only few 100 meters from the sea (2-3 minutes to walk). Very good bus transfer from and to ferry (and capital). Several official walking trails reachable either direct or as a shortcut by bus (at least hourly). Surrounding restaurants are very good, but some of them are a bit price intensive.

The door lock system was a bit annoying because it only locked for the outside and our toddler was always trying to open the door and there was no other way to lock it.

Petits logements agréables et assez bien équipés. Le ménage est fait tous les trois jours, avec changement des draps et des serviettes qui sont de bonne qualité. Les terrasses sont très agréables, même si elles ne sont pas abritées du vent.

L'accès au logement ne va pas : on ne peut pas se garer sur la propriété et le raccourci toléré par la propriété voisine est plutôt périlleux, avec une petite échelle branlante et une marche très haute. Il faudrait proposer un petit grill électrique pour pouvoir faire une grillade.

Tout était parfait! Nous y avons passé un mois de rêve. Merci!!!

J'ai eu un séjour magnifique en voyageant en solo!L'emplacement à 3 min de la plage de Platis Yialos et de la station du bus!Le calme de l'endroit avec un jardin magnifique,vrai havre de paix.L'appartement etait propre et avait tous les conforts.Tout est à proximité.Les hôtes très réactifs et gentils.Sympa le petit plateau du petit dej en arrivant !

Everything was very clean and Platis Yialos is a great place to stay if you are in Sifnos. Further there was plenty of parking space close to the appartment. Would certainly come back upon visiting Sifnos.

Μείναμε σε αυτό το δωμάτιο στη Σίφνο και μείναμε ε πολύ ευχαριστημένοι ! Η τοποθεσία είναι εξαιρετική, μόλις 2 λεπτά με τα πόδια από την παραλία του Πλατύ Γιαλου. Οι ιδιοκτήτες ήταν εξαιρετικοί άνθρωποι, πάντα ευγενικοί και πρόθυμοι να μας βοηθήσουν άμεσα σε ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε. Το δωμάτιο ήταν άνετο και καθαρό. Επιπλέον η πρόσβαση στην Απολλωνία και στον Αρτεμώνα είναι εύκολη τόσο με το αυτοκίνητο όσο και με συγκοινωνία καθώς υπάρχει στάση πολύ κοντά στο κατάλυμα . Θα το προτείναμε σε όποιον θέλει να επισκεφθεί τη Σίφνο!

We had an amazing stay at this apartment in Sifnos. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the stunning Platis Gialos beach. The house has a charming garden, ideal for relaxing in the evenings in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by greenery. The host was exceptionally kind and helpful and he welcomed us with a local sweet! We absolutely recommend it!

We loved the location, very quiet but in close proximity to the beach and restaurants. The outdoor space was wonderful for both hanging out and for placing all of our beach gear. The outdoor hose and shower were very convenient to keep sand from getting in the house. There was so much about this house that just worked very well and suited our party of 6 really comfortably. Thank you to the hosts, this was such a nice stay!!

The host Elisabeth was exceptionally helpful and friendly...she really made my stay very pleasant.

We stayed 3 nights in 2 of the studio rooms. Mostly, we liked the location as it was just a short walk to the beach and restaurants so that made it easy to go back and forth during the day. The host allowed us to do an early check in which was much appreciated and meant that we could go straight from our ferry to the accommodation.

The beds weren't comfortable. My husband and I had the double bed and we found the mattress uncomfortable. The shower in our studio wasn't easy to use as we couldn't mount the shower head piece into the holder to have the water come from above so we had to use it as a hand held shower. The bathroom in our studio was very small.

The location & the olive grove. Walk to beach, bus stop & supermarket. Plenty of hot water Outside patio. Comfy beds. Good wifi. Little gift basket with complimentary gifts.

Booking.com showed 67 pictures & making us believe that the room was bigger with more cooking facilities & outside seating. This is very misleading. There were lots of pans & cooking utensils, but only 1 small electric plate but nowhere to put it as there was no work space. Also, 1 small utensil to boil water with no lid. The fridge was the other side of the room. We had been island hopping for 4 weeks & cooked alot of our meals but unfortunately we could not do this in the villa. The shower was small & the shower curtain stuck to you. Outside patio was nice, but would of liked more comfy seats outside as there were no space inside to relax.

The rooms are in a very calm peaceful location surrounded by an olive tree garden. The beach is very close by, and the rooms are very comfortable.

The breakfast basket was not enough for three days

Fantastic hosts, Panagiotis and Elisabeth. All information prior to check in was comprehensive and Elisabeth was on hand throughout if we needed anything and also kindly made us some delicious sweets. All in all, a fantastic place.

Quiet, close to nature, close to the beach

The studio has everything you need for a long or short stay and the large terrace was a great place to sit with a morning coffee. The place is really quiet and peaceful too, set back from the main road so there’s no noise, but just a few minutes walk from the beautiful sandy beach and numerous restaurants. There’s also a number of walks in the area so if you don’t have a car, there’s still plenty to enjoy nearby. I’d absolutely stay at Elisso Villas again!

Price, was very cheap and location 2 minutes to the see

The low price is explained by the fact that I booked for a month, and this is the month of November when it is not the season. The absence of owners is explained by this reason, and cleaning once every 10 days is also quite understandable for such a price. But a very unpleasant situation happened to me, after 10 days of my stay, when the cleaning lady came and gave me new bedding, someone bit me badly in one night, and obviously not mosquitoes... I assumed the worst, that it was bedbugs... and asked for a change of room, to which the hotel owners agreed only after 2 days of continuous correspondence (in which I constantly argued that these were bites, which was very unpleasant), after a couple of days they called a specialist who said that these were not bedbugs, but dust bugs (mites). I had to see a doctor because I had an allergic reaction to these bites and felt bad. There was indeed a lot of dust in the blankets and mattresses, and the sheets and towels themselves were often stained. In the first room in which I lived, room number 2, black mold constantly formed on the refrigerator and nearby on the wall, there are very low beds that are uncomfortable to sleep on. In the new room, room number 3, the shower is located right next to the toilet without any fence and the kitchen is catastrophically small. In general, due to the situation with the bites, the impression of the hotel and its owners has deteriorated greatly. This is not my first hotel on the island and usually the island people are very hospitable and always ready to help.

Arrival and entering the room with a code was was good. We even could enter the room before the normal check in time. Eventhough the code did not work in the beginning, we could contact the owner and he imediately responded and fixed it. We never meet him which was kind of impersonal and unusual for Greece. We got the info about a short cut to the beach (2 minutes waking distance to the beach). The room is basic, but has everything you need. We really liked the welcome gifts.

We thought it was a pity that there was no personal contact. We had two single beds put togehter with a big gap of the mattress, so we could not sleep together :( The room was not perfectly clean. The garden was big but not so welcoming. With only a few adjustments like chairs, sunbeds it

Very good location (easy access to other island destinations by bus, a few steps from beach). Very pleasant and quiet setting.

Studio cleanliness could have been better. Otherwise, it was very comfortable, very well-equipped and very pleasant.

Loved the kitchen + cooking option! Loved the private balcony and garden. Lovely spot, very close to the beach and to some of the Sifnos trails starting points.

We had a great time at Elisso Villa! Simple, no frills accommodation, with excellent price-value ratio. Amazing location, a stone’s throw away from the beach and Platis Gialos’ food and drinks offerings. Perfect base to explore Sifnos. Elisabeth was extremely kind, available and helpful. We will certainly be back!

Restaurants nearby had several good options for vegans and vegetarians. Great garden with mountain view and quiet area. Comfy beds inside and functional kitchenette.

There were few markets nearby with few options and little healthy foods. Sometimes (3-4 times a week), the property had smelly bathroom (from the sewers/water). The kitchen lacked a cutting board.

The location was superb, the house was spacious and very comfortable. The host, Panagiotis, was the most welcoming and caring host I've ever experienced in Sifnos - and I've been coming here for many years. He welcomed us, showed us the house, made sure we had everything we need..... he even came a couple of times to drop some home made desserts! The house could easily fit 6 people staying there. It has all the amenities necessary to do home-cooked meals and host small gatherings (i.e. big outside table in the varanda, weber barbacue in the back, outside shower, a lounger....). Will stay again!

Even though there was no-one at the reception upon our arrival, the owners communicated efficiently and the whole process was smooth. The room is rather basic but clean and had everything we needed. At its cost, it was a great value for money. The location is excellent, just 200-300 meters away from platys Gialos.
