Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Very good location, in quite street but close to the beach, bus or metro stops, shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment is well arranged. The kitchen equipment is good enough to make a breakfast or simple diner.
The apartment is a bit old. Bathrooms is rather small, there are missing any shelf for cosmetics or any hanger for towels. The terrace doesn't encourage to spend time there, it is surrounded by wall of the next building and fences of other apartments.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Sehr nette Unterkunft, nach unserer Rückkehr aus Santiago verbrachten wir noch ein paar Tage in Matosinhos. Die Unterkunft liegt wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Rundherum gibt es genügend Restaurants und einige Geschäfte. Zudem finde ich den Ort gut zwischen Flughafen und Porto gelegen. Die Innenstadt von Porto ist sehr gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026Very spacious house with your own terrace, well equipped kitchen, washing machine.. located just a few minutes walk from the beach, with supermarkets, restaurants, cafés just around the corner. The metro stop to downtown is also very close.
The bed was a bit too soft, and the place would definitely benefit from the mosquito nets / insect screens as these were really omnipresent.

Wyłączająca się instalacja elekryczna podczas używania używania sprzętów elektrycznych, wentylacja lazienkowa nie działała zbyt dobrze, brak zmywarki i pralki.

Bell'appartamento, cucina e bagno attrezzate con tutto il necessario ed abbastanza pulite. Presente anche un tubo esterno per l'eventuale lavaggio dell'attrezzatura da surf con acqua dolce.

Se trata de un dúplex con salón cocina abajo y un dormitorio abuhardillado en la planta primera. Y un pequeño baño con ducha en cada planta. Y un pequeño patio terraza de uso exclusivo. Los cuartos de baño son minúsculos y sin colgadores, perchas o ganchos donde colgar las toallas. En el dormitorio hay 3 camas de 80 cm (pequeñas para un adulto)... Parece de campamento infantil. La planta de arriba solo tiene un ventanuco en el techo/ tejado: Pésimo ventilación. No hay armario para colgar la ropa. Solo una barra corta en la parte baja de la buhardilla por lo q no vale para ropa larga(vestidos o abrigos) Menaje de cocina escaso: no hay ni 4 copas ni 4 tazas del mismo tamaño. En el patio solo hay 3 sillas, qué menos que una para casa huesped..En resumen, por ese precio esperaba algo más cómodo

Reviewed Jan 23, 2025Great location, you can see the ocean from the front door. Area full of shops and restaurants. Apartment is cozy and warm in the winter, the ground floor has a patio.
I am not giving a 10 because I think the place is missing a few things to make it perfect, such as: paper napkins or kitchen paper towels at arrival; somewhere to hang the bath towels after use; a bigger frying pan (the one available in my apartment was too small); a hand blender for soups, sauces and/or smoothies.

Reviewed Nov 8, 2024Very clean. The kitchen setup was great , with an espresso maker , electric kettle , loads of dishes and glassware. It was a well furnished kitchen . The bed was very comfortable and I slept soundly . It was private , and the patio was a great addition . I was very comfortable.
The upstairs bathroom sink and mirror were very difficult to use due to the ceiling beam being in the way . It would also help to have hooks on the wall to hang towels.

Strange thudding and scratching noises coming from somewhere unidentifiable, that would wake me up at night. I could not find the source of this disturbance.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at OportoWaves. The apartment itself was clean and the beds were comfy. It was a great location for us for the week, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and our son loved the beach which was only 2 min walk away! It was also simple to travel into the centre of Porto either by tram or (the lovely scenic route) on the bus. We would like to say a huge thank you to Nuno, who was always extremely helpful and professional when dealing with any enquiries that we had. We would definitely stay again and will recommend it to our friends & family!

This created a unique and relaxing atmosphere. - Ultra-Comfortable Beds: The beds in the apartment were really comfortable. - Convenient Location: The apartment's proximity to great restaurants, shops, and a LIDL supermarket was highly convenient. Additionally, the beach was just a stone's throw away. - Quiet and Relaxing Environment: The property itself was incredibly peaceful, allowing for a relax retreat. - Convenient Transport Options: The nearby stop for the 'yellow' 200 no. bus tour of Porto and easy access to the metro made exploring the city hassle-free. Beautiful Patio: The little patio added a touch of beauty to the place, providing a serene spot for relaxation.
The only minor drawback was the thin walls upstairs, which allowed for some sound transfer between neighboring guests. However, this was not significant or disruptive enough to overshadow the overall excellent experience.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2023Jorge is an excellent host. We arrived early in the morning so waited at the cafe nearby until we could connect for the keys. There was a miscommunication and Jorge was meant to be off that day. He saw us to the apartment and made sure we were clear on the details for our stay. He responded a few times throughout our stay and always kind and polite. This is a comfortable, clean and nice location to feel at home. My family booked a second week a few weeks later.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2022This apartment was really great and it had everything. The bathroom the kitchen and the beds were clean and there were plenty of towels. The beach, the supermarket and all kinds of nice restaurants were only 2 minute walk away. Jorge was very nice and we will definitely come back whenever we are in Porto!
Everything was perfect I only missed an iron in the appartement. That would have been convenient.
