Reviewed Jun 3, 2026The lobby and facilities were as advertised, and the property is conveniently located near the ferry terminal. There are several restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to get around and find dining options even without a car. Overall, the location is very convenient for travelers.
Due to illness, we had to postpone our travel plans, and the change was approved by the property management in advance. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that our reserved room was sold out and we had been downgraded from a triple room to a double room. The property owner then demanded cash payment on-site and blamed us for not noticing the room/beds discrepancy immediately after check-in. To make matters worse, the owner abruptly left the front desk and was unreachable until late in the evening. After considerable back-and-forth communication, he eventually agreed to move us to the correct room the following day. The situation was disappointing and caused unnecessary stress at the start of our trip. While the issue was ultimately resolved, the lack of communication and professionalism significantly affected our overall experience.

He helped with renting a scooter, have tips for eating out and answered all our questions. His wife was also really, really nice! We even got the possibility to shower after checking out! Room was spacious and clean!

Reviewed May 30, 2026Der Besitzer war super freundlich und hat uns bei allem geholfen. Die Gemeinschaftsräume waren super sauber und es gab genug Kühlschränke. Auf dem Balkon kann man Badehosen und co trocknen. Die spiegelt neben dem Bett bieten eine tolle Aussicht.
Das Bett hat etwas laut gequietscht, vor allem wenn man sich zu zweit etwas mehr bewegt hat.

Reviewed Apr 13, 20261.民宿老板服务周到、热情大方，全天除睡觉时间以外Whats App都回复得很及时。简直是民宿老板天花板。 2.能看出整栋楼刚翻新不久，什么都很新很干净。 公共空间和房间内都打扫得一尘不染。无任何异味。 3.床很宽，床垫软硬适中，用的不是旅馆常用那种便宜的床上用品。床单、枕套、被套亲肤丝滑，四月小琉球也挺热的了，被子是薄薄的空调被。 4.房间有个阳台感觉真不一样，空间通畅舒服感就上来了。 5. 空调运转时声音不大，不影响睡眠。
脱掉室外鞋，光脚走进去民宿换室内拖鞋那一段，脚底已经脏了。希望脱掉室外鞋后能直接穿上室内拖鞋。 一个洁癖&龟毛人的小小体会

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026Teacher Cai Homestay was absolutely perfect for our trip. The owner is very friendly and provides all the information you need to enjoy your time on the island. We had booked one triple and one double room but as these were on different floors the owner upgrade the double room to a quad so we were next to each other and also had more space. He also helped us arrange a car so we could explore the island, we hadn’t booked e bikes in advance and as it was approaching a holiday weekend none were available last minute. The whole place is very clean and well thought out with everything you need provided. The bathroom is a wet room but use of a shower curtain means the toilet stays dry and the room actuated dried very quickly so you weren’t walking through water every time you entered the room. Location is very convenient a few minutes walk from the ferry and with a breakfast shop and 7–11 a minute away. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Xiaoliuqiu.

Unfortunately, the homestay is on a very busy street on a VERY busy island. I wouldn't recommend going the island in the first place. Development is uncontrolled, ugly and often trashy. There are thousands of noisy, polluting motor bikes EVERYWHERE. Unfortunately, the homestay is right on a busy street with noisy traffic early morning until night. We asked for a quiet room but were refused, saying double rooms only face the street. Also, the only common space to eat is open to the punishing weather and right on the noisy street. We had difficulty finding a decent restaurant anywhere on the island. All in all, we wouldn't recommend going to the island at all. Sadly, it's been wrecked by over-development and over-tourism.

The host was exceptionally helpful with lots of suggestions to eateries and attractions around the island. Download Line apps and he will text you with information. All in all, very highly recommended.
