Reviewed Aug 7, 2026We had a lovely stay here. The house was very clean, cosy and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The location is fantastic – you step outside and you’re right on the beach with beautiful views of the sand and sea. Rye is also nearby and such a lovely town to visit. Louise and Louis were very friendly, helpful and responsive whenever we had any questions. We had a wonderful family break. Thank you, Louise and Louis!

I had to sleep in the small bed downstairs where I have been comfortable previous visits but the time it was uncomfortable for me.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2024This was our second stay at Stowaway Beach House. The cottage is perfect and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The position of the cottage is hard to beat, the views are spectacular, including the beautiful sunsets. I don't think I could ever tire of this place. Louise and Louis are great hosts, always on hand to answer questions. Can't wait to be back!

Reviewed Jun 28, 2024We knew the location well but this was our first time staying on the beach. Yes sand gets everywhere, but we were expecting that and all items needed to keep on top of it were made available. Clean, very comfortable and homely. Perfect for the beach holiday we wanted.
A bigger fridge would have been really useful as the weather was so warm, we needed to keep everything refrigerated. But not a dislike, and the only thing I could suggest to better.

Reviewed Feb 3, 2023Excellent hosts. Outstanding communication throughout. The property is absolutely perfect for couples, kids, dog friendly. The cottage is full of everything you need and the welcome locally sourced milk, crisps, ginger cake and apple juice on arrival was a nice thoughtful touch. Comfortable beds, bedding and towels all great and appreciated the electric blanket on the chilly nights. It’s the most perfect seaside cottage with stunning views. We Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful sea views, house extremely clean, well-prepared for guests and thoughtfully furnished. Very generous treats on arrival and extremely clear and helpful advice from the owners, Louise and Louis. Also near so many beautiful and interesting places to visit. A wonderful break! We have just re-booked and can not wait to return. FANTASTIC!
