Shopping and transportation are close by. Regarding cleanliness..the room I got this time is a bit outdated...bathroom tub needs a do over as well as sink condition..not the best..AC is good...beach is a throw-stone away..bed comfortable..but overall..i make myself comfortable..a electric kettle would have been nice for the room...since utensils and coffee are being offered...you just cant make it without hot water...this is my 4th stay here and I'll return...
Balcony view was good
Loved that it was on the beach
Clean and great views
My family, love it here cant wait to see u guys next year. Thanks
Receptionist was very helpful. Good view, Plenty of space, Big rooms though, kitchen not in good condition. No breakfast options. Few lights not working. Limited toiletries. Direct beach access also not convenient.
The place was terrible, no kettle in the room , fridge wasn’t working, had to put my stuff in another room. Saw cockroaches in the room, actually I kill one in the room , have plenty sugar ants in the room. I spoke to the lady at front desk about a kettle, she said she would bring one , never came . All there have in the room was a coffee maker. I had to hot water in microwave to get tea . I was in Room 15, I will never ever stay there again. Only nice thing about the property it’s close the beach
Very beautiful and peaceful place but the place need updating all sheets and towels pillow cases all need to be thrown away.. it’s gross and full of stains. Staffs need uniforms you don’t know who works there from strangers. But o love the closeness of the beach and bars .
I enjoyed my stay at this local facility. Great location for Grand Anse beach, Shopping Mall, grocery store, Local Straw market, Restaurants ,bus stop to downtown & anywhere. Family owned so I like this option to support the community! I chose an Apt. with cooking facilities. Bring your own toiletries and you will be fine. A little changeling for walking to bus stop (up hill) but doable! Next to Silversand Resort but their beach sand is awful! Just walk down a little to enjoy Grand Anse Beach at it's best. Great for Solo traveling as they lock up at night!
The hotel is past its prime but the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach outside the door was delightful for a swim
This place would have been nice about 40 years ago. Whilst you are right on the water that means you are getting wet if you want to walk along the beach or you're walking uphill for about 80 metres as your two options of getting out When we went to check out we couldn't find anyone to check is out or book a taxi for more than an hour They did do a very good job of our laundry
I loved everything about this stay! I cannot wait to have an opportunity to come back. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the air conditioning worked so well. We came for a weekend getaway and this place didn’t disappoint! Walking distance to the beach and lots of food. I truly loved my stay here and couldn’t recommend it enough.
The food if the two restaurants nearby was amazing and the beach was clean. The room was cozy and well kept. Great Wi-Fi connection! Definitely going back soon!
Perfect location
Nice clean quiet and convenient location. Just need to upgraded beds and equipments
The property is being upgraded and promises better convenience for the slightly handicapped.
Mouse droppings, dead bird behind the bed once no water to shower had to use a bucket bucket house keeping basic every three days
Absolutely beautiful place that gives the true flavor of the island culture. We avoid the commercial hotels whenever possible so that we can truly emerge ourselves in the experience and this hotel is a luxury retreat without commercial property monotony.
Location was good.
The staffs was real great make me feel at home I appreciate it thanks for a great stay at your air bnb feels like home
Ok
I loved this place! Step out of the gate straight on to Grand Anse Beach, fabulous sunset view from my balcony and I slept like a log to the sound of the waves. Solo female traveller and I felt very safe here. The staff were friendly and helpful and my one bed apartment was clean and tidy with everything I needed. Yes, it's an older property and certainly not the Ritz, but the price reflects that. One night at the Silversands next door cost more than my 10 night stay; same beach, same view! Hoping I'll be back here next year and for a longer stay! Thanks to all the staff for a great holiday. Look forward to seeing you again.
As soon as I saw the room, I demanded a refund. There is no curb appeal. From the entrance side of the building, it looks all run down. The website shows a beach. It doesn't exist. The water goes right up to the wall. It looks like the balcony was cut in half, and a small kitchen was added. The place was outdated. The kitchen equipment was in poor condition. There were only three parking spaces. It was a total maze to get to the room. The Wi-Fi wasn't strong enough to pull in a signal. When I told them all that, they immediately issued a refund without hesitation.
The plus points are that the apartments were close to the beach, the bed was comfy and the air on worked. The bad points were numerous, as the building had been neglected for years and needed total modernisation and decoration. Our bedroom used to be a restaurant and all the power sockets were in the wrong place. There was only one bedside cabinet and that had no handle. There was an iron but no board. The washbasin was cracked and there was no plug. The mastic around the washbasin was disgusting. The kitchen cooker was ancient so we never used it. There was no kettle. The kitchen woodwork was rough and inside the cupboards was dirty. The cutlery was from a car boot sale. No plug in the sink. The fire exstinguisher was empty. There was a cockroach on the floor. Access to the sea was at the bottom of the garden but it was dangerous due to a wonky handrail and green algae on the last step. I attach a few photos.
Positives first. Friendly staff, right on waterfront and good aircon. Thats it. Kitchen was ansolutely horrible, bathroom door coukd not close and the tiling mismatched and chipped. The towel rail fell off 3 times. Wardrobe had black mold patches and the safe did not work. Handles missing from cabinets, stained sheets, hit and miss hot water and room cleaning. Its also a difficult location as its a long walk to the supermarket and the reception cannot supply base essentials like milk or water. Room no. 30 was a fire hazard. No smoke alarm, but no way out in case of a fire in the building, other than a 20ft drop off the balcony!!!! Overall very poor, but the worst thing was the constant intermittent noise in the roof space.in our top floor room...like a massive hairdryer. The reception team could not or would not explain what this was, and it prevented decent sleep for 4 nights. AVOID.
Lighting towards pathway needs to be lighted, and pathway also has water dripping downstairs as you pass by.Staff is very nice particularly the young man.My AC,wasn't working and gave me another room while he got it fixed. Its not the most upscale, but cery convenient and quiet. I'll definitely go back there.
Staff particularly the manager were friendly but a Palace it certainly ain’t. Kitchen utensils and pans were filthy. No cleaning, no tidying in the 4 days we were there despite a notice to say it would be done every second day. Entrance to the beach covered in algae which made it hazardous. Put you off Grenada which otherwise has so much to offer.
Comfortable room, nice ocean view, quiet, good cable TV, near the bear, friendly staff. No shampoo, no hair dryer, no silverware, under the bed needs more cleaning.
Amazing room with every amenity that you would need. All of the staff were friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and professional. The hotel created a peaceful atmosphere. We felt safe at all times. Grounds crew kept the place looking beautiful without being noisy. The entire property was quiet while having quite a few guests. The cleaning crew did a great job with our room every time they came, and informed us via a printed letter how Christmas Day and Boxing Day would be handled. Catching a bus into town/the capital or to go shopping further south was very simple as there was a bus stop just up the hill.
Beautiful property right on Grand Anse Beach. Lovely, helpful staff. I would love to return and recommend here highly. Many thanks to the staff for helping me to have an amazing stay in Grenada.
Property had a nice island vibe. It was right on the beach, which was awesome. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely plan a stay again
It needs a bit of an update but still the view and quiet of the are was nice
The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the people were kind. The property was a few steps from the beach which was very convenient. There was also a bus stop at the top of the road which was convenient for getting into the city. The hotel next door had full time security on the beach which was nice when walking back to the property. They cleaned the rooms every other days and replaced the towels as needed.
Property needs to be renovated...my room was suoer large..bathroom enormous...the view of the beach...wonderful...but overall...properly needs to be updated.
Privacy. Quiet.
Charming and quiet. Right on the beach. Just a quick walk to a number of beach access restaurants. Everyone here including the staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Place needs updating. Needs upgrade. Everything is old
Fabulous views. Friendly staff. We had a spacious apartment. LOVED the outdoor kitchen set up on the top floor but the night bugs can be a problem. Service a little laid back but Donrick responded kindly to us. Appreciated the late check out considering our late departure flight. With a bit of renovation and update of amenities/facillities, I think this could be our first choice for a budget stay in Grand Anse.
It was very relaxing with a great view.
The people here are top notch! Soo pleasant and kind. The rooms/property are very out dated and the walls are thin so you can hear everything. The best part was the view of the water. The price I paid I felt was a little high considering the accommodation. I will likely not stay here again
The waves right next to the room is the perfect lullaby.
Was a nice stay right on the beach Staff was friendly and amazing and assisted with all needs, very helpful Easy to catch bus on main road
The towel has some stains on them. The shower was leaking just stuff that needs to be fixed.
The room was quite small and bathroom had stains in the tub, as well as in the toilet. The curtains were also quite see-through on the side, closest to the walkway.
Excellent staff, great location we felt at home
Really peaceful and private, however every food item you rest for a minute will get ants
Staying at Grand Anse Beach Palace is always relaxing. The staff is very kind and accommodating. It’s always a please seeing the owners Mr Lenny and his wife Ms Sharon. Very sweet people. You bet the best sunsets. Can’t wait to go back.
I love this hotels.
The property is located near the beach and restaurants and more. Having your private beach experience. The cool breeze that's constantly in motion. The staff is Awesome very friendly. Caring and helpful.i will definitely Stay there again. I send great thanks and appreciation to the Host and staff,i and thankful for your concern and care during my time of grief and sadness.
Polite and friendly staff,
Great location. Great customer service.
Room spacious and clean. Location good for beach and town access with buses stopping end of the drive. Used food delivery app one evening and treated ourselves to dinner at Silversands the next. Staff friendly and helpful, especially when I struggled to access the kitchen across the hall. Lovely garden to sit in with fab views along beach. Appreciated the greenery everywhere. Would have appreciated some welcome water in the fridge after a long day with delayed flights but easily had it delivered with the food.
Helpful young receptionist gave me an upgrade. I had the room 30 with kitchen and lovely ocen wiev. 👍the property is dated, but still in good condition and great located, just several steps from the see. Nice, collony style hotel should be renovated a little, but still very convenient for location and money. Restaurant doesn't work, do self catering.
Very hospitable
Amazing place. I love the staff, the rooms are super clean and comfortable. My absolute go to place when I come.
Loved our stay! The location can’t be beat, our room was comfortable and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
This is a simple place with minimal amenities but right on the gorgeous Grand Anse beach where you can walk to find plenty to eat, drink, and do. And great air con and shower.
Amazing location, old and in need of revamp. Bed Sheets stained. Reception service very slow and unreliable.
The staff was cordial, considerate, and caring. Donrick went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. Will definitely visit again!
On checking in staff pretended there were minor issues: 1.Broken safety security box for the duration of stay 2. No kettle or coffee maker for the first three days 3.Broken ice maker throughout the hotel: I was told it wad being fixed which again was a lie. 4.Closed restaurant, no vending machine it was very Hot and humid 5. No rental car service 4. The beach in front of hotel was not good for swimming, we had to walk 3/4mile along the beach for the most part part we took a bus. 5.Room was small for a couple although we paid premium for ocean view. 6. Bath towels were old and stained. 7. Hotel towels were discoloured. 8. Had to fix toilet that had a stuck chain. No service for 24 hrs. Contact was by what’s app. 9. Seems management was not interested in maintenance as when rain fell there were broken guttering that poured water on the porch. 10. Room was clean every 2 days,I had to go to office to demand the room be clean. 11. They tried to exchange the room for another room but it was dirty, smelly and had broken furniture in it.
You get what you pay for. Accommodation is basic and very dated but functional and clean. Staff very good.
Hotel is situated on a quiet spot at the end of Grande Anse beach. Access to main beach can be a bit difficult at high tide or when strong waves. Our initial room was not quite what we expected, but after discussion with Hotel staff we were moved to a more convenient room/apartment. Although the restaurant was not open the kitchen facilities were very good allowing breakfast and lunches to be easily and conveniently prepared. The garden was very convenient for relaxing in away from the beach. The hotel is beginning to show its age, but the position, facilities and helpful staff made for an enjoyable stay in a kind of old colonial hotel.
There was no security. My bathroom was not clean. Hair on the bed.
It was quiet and peaceful. The staff was very helpful. I didn't like the steps on the back to get onto the beach. Oh and no food on premises but other places on the beach to eat made it helpful.
Liked Beach Front Liked staff, all helpful and friendly Did not like guests slamming room doors. Perhaps some notices should be in place to be thoughtful of other guests Property rooms need to be updated
Would return again
We got our linen changed once in the week. The room was not swept at all.We hardly got hot water at times.
This place never ceases to amaze me. I'm truly happy with my stay once again and I recommend this place to anyone seeking peace, quiet, beach access.
Internet poor and the place nasty. No shampoo no coffee and noisy.the service very poor also no place to eat . Water not available and no place to eat. This place should not be futures on Expedia or on any travel guid. I would give it zero rating
There is no food available.
Love the fact the my room was barely 3-5m away from the Ocean.
Peaceful
I didnt stay in the end because the room stank of moth balls. They had put them in the air conditioner so couldnt tmove them!
i will go back 201924
Nice location on Grand Ans Bay but shopping and dining nearby not good. Had to walk a goodly distance for nit so good dining outlets.
Easy access to Grand Anse beach! Beautiful water front view from the room.
Quiet
Pros. Right on the beach. Views from SOME rooms is good. Great staff! Cons. In absolutely terrible condition. Really run down. Paper thin walls. No beach and can't even walk to the main beach due to the high water and many rocks. Sheets and towels old. I can not recommend this property.
Staff has no say so you can't hold them responsible Its funny how they have to cover for management Even have to say they are in the shower. Management was never available to speak to Checked out after 2 days . Will like to attach photos of the surroundings. I think Expedia needs to be very careful in what or where they are advertising. Found a hotel without Expedia 😌
Great room with spectacular sea views. Access to the beach is very tricky. You have to walk down a steep slope then, holding a rope which is provided and attached to a strong railing, drop down sboit 18 inches to the beach. Can be difficult at high tide.
Nothing in particular
Enjoyed our week stay at this property. Staff was welcoming and the owner Sharon was very lovely. Note the beachside door to property locks at 9 pm for guests safety…there is a key on the room ring that lets you open door after hours😁. Krissy & Derek
Great location on the beach. Not fancy but clean and economical. Easy access to transportation, shopping and food .
The property could do with a makeover, it was a bit tired. The staff were very pleasant and the position was excellent. It was not easy accessing the beach at high tide from the property.
Beautiful right on the beach.
Not a 3 star hotel, but it has an at 'home feeling'. My family and I stayed there for two nights and it was comfortable enough. One noteworthy point was that we were allowed to check in a bit earlier as we were travelling to attend funeral and needed to store our luggage. We were also allowed late check out as we had a night flight returning home. Thank you so much Grand Anse Palace for accommodating, us We will definitely return.
The beach access was somewhat difficult. The staff was great. The room was a good size with good space for clothing and personal items.
This property was in the perfect location for us, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but had a great fridge freezer and a microwave, clean and comfortable and right on the beach and bus route.
The hotel staff was awesome. The location is the best on the island. You can't do better for the price.
Hotel got excellent ocean view and location close to beach and restaurants. Staff is friendly. Room was not clean enough to our standard. There were for instance dead spiders and cobwebs in corners. Kitchen was missing utensils that the bookingsite said should be there. We got what we were missing when we pointed this out. Room cleaning was to be done every second day. When we got back the day it was supposed to be done, they said it wasn't done since the door was locked with both locks and they were missing one key. We found this a bit strange, as they were able to get into the apartment to get us the utensils the other day.
It needs major improvements and updating in keeping with other hotels in the area 😩 but Lovely staff😊
This was my first visit to Grenada and a solo trip. From my research i realized Grand Anse was the place to be. After my vacation got postponed by 2 weeks the hotel rates all went up. I wanted the bulk of my budget to go to sightseeing, experiences and dining so i looked into smaller boutique hotels and guesthouses and this property was the only one directly on the beach. I didn’t want to cross the road or walk 10mns to the beach. The property is more guest house than hotel. Extremly clean, quiet and safe. And located right on the beach. I booked an ocean front appartment for the sunset views and the amenities of a full kitchen. I had a packed schedule planned and wanted to have my breakfasts in room before leaving for the day. Grocery and food delivery were quite easy. Reception wasn't opened at the times stated on this app. As long as you manage your expectations (no restaurant on property) this property is ideal.
