We recently stayed at Koukoumi Hotel in Mykonos and genuinely couldn’t fault our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. Our room with its private jacuzzi was beautiful, the pool area was perfect, and the spa and gym were both fantastic. The owner was also incredibly welcoming and hands-on, which gave the hotel a really personal feel. The biggest mention, however, has to go to Benny on reception. He genuinely went above and beyond throughout our entire stay to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and his warmth, attentiveness and genuine care made our stay even more special. My girlfriend has an almond allergy, and Benny and the wider team took it extremely seriously, making sure she was fully catered for and could enjoy the food without worrying. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast buffet was amazing, with a huge variety of both sweet and savoury options each morning, along with a complimentary hot or iced coffee. There was plenty of choice and the quality of the food throughout was excellent. Every member of staff we met was exceptional, from the brilliant spa team and the waiters and waitresses who looked after us so well, to the owner who was always present, approachable and genuinely invested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay. Koukoumi is a beautiful hotel with incredible facilities, but it’s the people who truly make it special. One tip for anyone planning to explore Mykonos: we travelled around the island quite a lot as a couple and would definitely recommend hiring a car or quad bike. Taxis/Ubers can become very expensive if you’re making regular trips, so having your own transport gives you much more freedom to explore. We would return to Koukoumi without hesitation. A huge thank you to Benny and the entire Koukoumi team for making our stay so memorable!

Room service pas 24/24
Our 5 day stay at Koukoumi hotel was exactly what we needed. Relaxation by the pool with a generous breakfast and a delicious 3 course evening meal on a half board basis. Included in our holiday was transfer from the airport straight to the hotel, just a 20 minute drive (we booked a return transfer with reception at an extra cost of €40). The room was large, spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. We arrived late but were still in time to have our first 3 course dinner. AMAZING! Lots of choice and we tried to have something different each night. The food was really tasty, well seasoned with yummy sauces and an impressive amount of variation and even an amuse bouche each night which were delicious! I honestly think that even non-vegans would struggle to find fault. They also have an extensive drinks menu with lots of non alcoholic drinks too. Breakfast is equally as good. Lots of choice of savoury and sweet with plenty to keep us full until evening. The pool is great! A magnesium pool which helps with relaxation and sleep. Enough sun loungers, we never struggled to find a spot each day. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. There's a gym, spa and yoga room although we have to admit we didn't use the services as we just wanted a relax by the pool kind of holiday. When we went is was very windy. Nice during the day as it was hot but was cool in the evenings so do take a long sleeved top to keep the chill off. Overall a fantastic trip and I would definitely recommend Koukoumi hotel to vegans and omnivores alike!
We spent 5 nights in Koukoumi for our honeymoon and it was the best hotel experience we've ever had! Everything was amazing, from the food, the drinks, the spa treatments and the fabulous friendly staff! We had a room with Private Pool and it was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is to put some extra umbrellas at the end of the pool where the comfy seats are for some optional extra shade. The breakfast buffet was out of this world and the whole vibe was just so relaxing and lovely. They also have some lovely cats 😊We also went to other islands as part of our honeymoon and this was by far the best stay we had. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back. Koukoumi is a dream, don't hesitate to book!!
What an incredible gem of a hotel! Before we arrived we were in communication with the hotel for various arrangements and they responded to every email promptly and efficiently. We arrived to welcome drinks and very hospitable staff after a delayed and tiring journey. I was blown away by the rooms which were spacious, airy, clean and modern. The beddimg was extremely comfortable. The food here blew me away. The breakfast buffet was varied each day and had so much choice! Savoury options like rice, chickpeas, tofu scramble, vegetables. Sweet options like cakes and pastries. Cereals, nuts, jams, spreads, chia pudding and overnight oats. Anything you could think of, they had it. Everything was absolutely delicious. Lunch and dinner was absolutely delicious too. Very creative and high end. The Velvet Cloud dessert is a masterpiece! Coffees were delicious, as was the homemade red berry tea which I couldn't get enough of! The waitors and bar staff were helpful, and very efficient. You never had to wait long for a drink and they cleaned up after you very quickly. Lunch and dinner courses took a little while to be bought out but I figured this was due to the fact that all food was cooked to order and from scratch where possible (no pre prepped oven food). The quality of each dish which came out justified the time we had to wait (around 20 mins to half an hour in some cases). The poolside was kept clean and well maintained with a variety of beds to use - padded flat mattresses to seated sun loungers. There was always choice of a space or two whilst we were there so it never got full and stayed that way all day. The layout of the hotel was perfect! Small enough that you could get to your room within 20 seconds from the pool/restaurant. It was so clean and minimalist whilst maintaining greek decor. The views from the hotel were stunning at sunrise and sunset. We attended with our 4 year old and they were great at accomodating her child friendly food options. Location was great! 15 minute walk away from the local town centre of Ano Mera. Supermarket and bakery just 3 minutes away, and a 15 minute taxi ride from Old Town. The whole experience felt high end, attentive, luxurious but calm and laid back. We loved every minute of our stay and definitely want to return.
We celebrated our birthdays at Koukoumi‘s and it was perfect. Since one month there are new rooms and we got one of them and stayed as the third guests ever there. The breakfast was amazing and changed a bit daily. We also loved the attentive staff and how clean everything was! The Pool area is also very comfy. We recommend to book a treatment at the spa. I got a prenatal massage, which was very relaxing. Also the yoga sessions are great and perfect to start a day!! A personal highlight was the housecat :) I had this hotel a long time on my bucket list and it was so worth it to go to a whole vegan hotel - thank you for making our birthdays so special!! :)
We decided to spend our honeymoon with Koukoumi and it was the best decision! Starting from the location, very welcoming and relaxing with a touch of luxury. The entire week has been regenerative, with the days spent by the pool on some of the nicest and comfiest sits/chairs I've ever experienced in vacation. The evenings were even more exciting because we knew we were about to try more dishes from the menu! Every dinner felt like a Michelin star experience, from the lovely and attentive staff (shout-out to Luca and team!!) to the spectacularly curated seasonal flavours in every dish. If you are visiting during SS26 I recommend the Sinless Memory and the Surf and Turf (the last one is addicting). A lovely selection of homemade soft-drinks and cocktails, with a good selection for the wine-list, local to what the area has to offer. The breakfast was also very impressive, a whole buffet completely vegan! Both sweet and savour selection tends to slightly change every morning ( I guess that's a way for the kitchen to minimalise waste, which is admirable and can get very creative at times!) We also had the change to talk with the owner (she's very friendly and always roaming around most days) and you can tell that the entire koukoumi project was very curated and designed to stand-out from the rest of the island. Mykonos is known for big parties and roasted meat, koukoumi is the exception with a relaxing atmosphere and services, wrapped in a eco-friendly and deliciously vegan entity. The placement of the hotel is a bit tricky (but that's just the layout of the isaldn) if you don't feel confident in driving (like myself) but with a bit of planning you can reach the old town for the more touristy bits, by bus from Ano Mera. Again, a huge thank you for the entire staff for making our honeymoon so special and memorable, we can't wait to be back!
We were met at the airport (transfer included in the price) and 20 minutes later had a warm welcome at the hotel. Special mention to Dimitri for being super friendly and knowledgeable about where to go when we hired the car. Location is good - near a small supermarket and bakery (which did excellent vegan mushroom or leek pie for 3 Euros). It is 1.5 miles to the nearest beach which is sandy and has two beach restaurants on it - the open one was very expensive but ok for a refreshing beer. We hired a car via the hotel for 50 Euros per day and spent one day at Mykonos Town which we loved and one day visiting the rest of the island. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of hot and cold, sweet and savoury delights. Great coffee (although we had to keep reminding them to make the cappuccino HOT) and fresh orange juice. Service was always good if Francesca was there (otherwise not so good). Dinner was also excellent- we tried everything off the menu and the flavours are divine. Again service was good if Luka was there…if he was not there, then not so good. We had the wrong food delivered three times (in 5 nights) and once got our main course before the starter. The staff (other than Luka) seemed uncertain which table was which and what the dishes looked like. Once we waited over 30 minutes for dessert. Hopefully this will improve in time as the staff were all friendly and no doubt will improve. There was also the issue that whilst delicious, the portions are small. This is ok except there was no option for a side dish of bread or vegetables for example. The seitan steak for example was lovely and came with a slice of potato but that was it. Also whilst the lovely minty water was available on the first night from the jug, after that we were not allowed as it was deemed too “unsightly” to pour free water from a nice jug, but ok to pay for bottled water! Just seemed a little penny pinching. Our room was great. Good size, nice shower and separate toilet. Cleaned every day to a high standard. The fridge was not cold however, so we asked how to turn it up and were told it is a set temperature- which was room temperature! So the maintenance man gave us another, which was the same. I am sure he would have changed it again but perhaps they are all the same. We had a lovely private veranda with a hot tub which we used each day and a hammock. Bed was super comfy too. So overall very good just need some training in the restaurant to get the service to match the quality of food. But again special thanks to Dimitri, Luka and Francesca who really stood out to us.
We komen absoluut terug!
The choice of food was amazing as was the quality. The staff were amazing
There was nothing we didn’t like
Best vegan resort ever / and the most caring staff you can imagine, from the receptionist Marianna, the owner Giorgia to our most lovely yoga-gym-nutrition-life (!) trainer and therapist Alex!
/
An incredible experience! The food was over-the-top delicious, and Alex was an amazing yoga instructor. It was such a treat to stay at this peaceful hotel.
It was an absolutely dreamy stay at the hotel. The booking went smoothly. We received the necessary information in a timely manner. The staff on site was always very friendly, warm, and helpful. Everything was always impeccably clean and tidy. The food is a vegan dream. If possible, definitely book the tasting menu, it is absolutely recommended and a taste experience. 100% likelihood of repetition.
We had a great stay overall, but still I gave lower rating due to how expensive it was. Highlights: 1. One of the dinner main courses (seitan steak, ‘Sinless Memory’) and one of the lunch deserts (pistachio gelato) were just amazing. 2. Room cleanliness and upkeep 3. My wife really enjoyed the Yoga class 4. Great atmosphere from staff and even other guests 5. Getting a really luxurious experience, especially when it comes to dinner and lunch. 6. Just the general feeling that they do what they do out of love, gave me a cozy feeling from the minute I walked in. Lowlights: 1. Maybe it’s just my simplistic preferences, but I didn’t like most of the food. It was often just too intense. Quite often things just had some sort of ‘bacon’-y flavor to them which I really didn’t like (even the morning tofu scramble). And I have tasted salt less salty than the miso, which was being too-generously used in several dishes. It also didn’t help that it was really hard to understand from the menu, what the dish is actually. 2. Shower, toilets, etc.: a. There was a noticeable sewage scent coming from the toilet room, probably from the drain in the floor. b. Really didn’t like the choice of shower heads. Using vintage metal ones was heavy, harder to operate, and felt less clean. c. Too few places to hang towels. Putting two hangers in the same space as where the shower takes place - we had to choose whether to not keep them there to dry or to risk getting them wet while we shower. 3. Room didn’t have enough light – natural light wasn’t abundant and lamplight couldn’t cover parts of the room as well. 4. Room had two windows, one of which faces the busy road just outside the hotel. If we kept it open, we had terrible noise coming in. If we kept it close – no air flow (which we needed because of the sewage scent). 5. The seating options around the pool were not very comfy. 6. Staff (mainly the waiters/waitresses) were very professional and gracious, but for me it was too much so; almost robotic. Considering that the staff are the only people I talked with for three days (aside from my wife), this could have made the experience that much better.
Perfect vacation - we spent 5 days here with our young-adult son. From the large rooms, with their amazing matresses and pillows, to the heavenly pool area to the delightful meals, we felt pampered and relaxed throughout our stay. The staff was gracious and helpful, and the owner of the hotel is so lovely. We look forward to our next stay.
A wonderful hotel with charming and attentive staff and a fabulous vegan menu. Our daily yoga and meditation sessions with Alex were healing and energising; the perfect start to each day! We also recommend trying the 9 course tasting menu and the cooking class. The pool area was very relaxing with a variety of comfy sun beds. The well-equipped gym and a sauna were an added bonus.
Serene and tranquil on an island oftentimes known for the opposite
The staff, restaurant and general relaxed atmosphere were great.
The perfect break if you want a relaxing stay and world class food.
Bardzo kameralny hotel, relaksujące otoczenie i atmosfera.
Just back from a truly wonderful week in Mykonos, and at this wonderful fully vegan hotel. The breakfast is amazing, as is so many other aspects. Be prepared for some windy days though, as with anywhere in Mykonos. There’s a nearby helicopter pad which can create noise and wind but also fun to look at. The rooms are lovely, although I found the WiFi upstairs wasn’t great, however it gave me an excuse to unplug for the week or sit by the pool. The staff are friendly and helpful- offering beach suggestions and knowledgeable about the food. The yoga is incredible and really worth it. They’ve set the bar very high for any future trips!
Everything
We LOVED our stay here! The food was absolutely delicious. Not only do they offer an amazing breakfast with various - savory and sweet - options. They also have a degustation menu, which we really enjoyed - it was an extraordinary experience! The “regular” diner and lunch menu is also absolutely fantastic!! Definitely try the Sinless memory - I felt like I was in vegan heaven. My partner - who is not vegan - also adored all the dishes!!! Also book the cooking class, if you can - had an awesome time and learned a lot of tricks. Shout out to the amazing team! The whole atmosphere is so welcoming and warm, we especially enjoyed our talks with the owner, Georgia and her whole staff. We will definitely return to this gorgeous place, thanks for having us :)
We spent 6 wonderful nights at the Koukoumi Vegan Hotel and absolutely loved our stay. The morning yoga sessions with Alexis were a highlight—his gentle spirit, intuitive flow, and kind nature set the perfect tone for each day. After yoga, we enjoyed the incredible breakfast buffet: completely plant-based, beautifully varied, and consistently delicious. The food quality was exceptional throughout our stay. The entire team at Koukoumi was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was always at a pleasant temperature, and the bed was so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud.
All good :)
I am vegan and This is my second time coming here and this hotel is the best I have ever been to.The food is amazing the rooms are wonderful and it’s so peaceful and quiet.there is a lovely pool and such friendly staff. I will definitely come back.Wren Ophelia age 10
Great location - peaceful but easy drive to port if you want to go . Lovely magnesium pool, good gym and yoga space , great plant based food and nice people and vibe
We absolutely loved our stay at Koukoumi - the staff were super accommodating and friendly. The fully plant based food was excellent - we went for the full board package and have never eaten so well. The only problem was we eat far too much! The rooms, pool and gym were also excellent and the hotel is a nicely, fairly secluded location. Overall, highly recommended!
It is located right by a very busy road with heavy traffic, even in the middle of the night. There is a nice fitness center, but it does not have a treadmill. When someone books a private session, the gym becomes off-limits to everyone else. The hotel has a spa and sauna, but access costs extra. Most 5-star hotels on Mykonos have vegan options on their menus, so you won’t miss out by booking a real 5-star hotel or resort with better views, a more secluded and quiet location, and free access to all amenities.
Our family at Koukoumi and it was lovely all around. As my 8 year old son has allergies to dairy and egg and is vegan it can be stressful to be away from home in another country however Koukoumi took away all those stress with it being a fully vegan hotel. They also did great around my own food intolerance to gluten. The food was delicious, try the pancakes (a favourite for my son!). The boutique hotel is intimate and that creates a peaceful and chill atmosphere. We enjoyed the pool which was never too busy. We also enjoyed the gym, and a personal training session, and I enjoyed yoga and a meditation session with Alex - these were all well worthwhile. The hotel staff all around were great and friendly. Our room was perfect.
This hotel AND restaurant is an absolute must! Calling all looking for a beautiful experience that will open your palette and your senses- this restaurant and hotel is a bucket list location! We had the menu degustation and it was incredible. We also stayed here and the location plus amenities were amazing. Lovely staff, great service, excellent workout room, and PHENOMENAL restaurant which i k uses a breakfast that will leave your jaw dropped. And the dinner- you have not experienced a dinner like the menu degustation. If you can treat yourself to this culinary delight, please do! We are from Washington, DC and this restaurant is going to leave you wanting more like it when you get home to the states.
First, the food and the restaurant team are simply amazing. Eating at Koukoumi is a Michelin worthy experience, and we have been 11 Madison in NY to experience a Michelin vegan experience. The problem is that the hotel presents itself as 5-star, when 3 stars would be more accurate. In contrast to the restaurant, the hotel is mediocre and the online photos are deceptive. When we arrived on June 13 (in the evening), with help from the front desk, we decided on going to go to Delos the next day. We then learned we needed to leave the hotel to get cash to pay for the experience that evening – in cash. This was not what we wanted to do on entry, but we went and got the cash. The next day, it was clear that we could have simply gone to the dock the next day and paid the same amount with a credit card. It is strange for a resort to claim to be five star and to send guests to go get cash? Then, on June 14, we spoke to the front desk about renting a car from June 15-17. They made arrangements with One rental. The car was delivered the next day to the hotel. Later that day, we called One on a repair issue (low air in tire), and they sent a mechanic to the hotel to do the repair on a tire. On June 17, we returned the car to One near the airport, and we were extorted to pay 30 Euros for “damage” to the wheel, damage that we did not cause. The “damage” was trivial and certainly under the category “normal wear and tear”. We found the behavior of One ethically unacceptable, and disappointed that Koukoumi refused to help us with our dispute. But, again, the food and restaurant service were excellent.
Clean, modern, spacious rooms, great gym and great breakfast buffet
A little far from town, very expensive! restaurant with very small portions. Definitely require some more of transportation to see anything in Mykanos
We stayed at Koukoumi Vegan Boutique Hotel to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and without exaggeration, it was the warmest welcome we have ever experienced. A huge thank you to the team for the complimentary upgrade in honor of our special day and all the thoughtful touches that made our stay truly unforgettable. For example, a breakfast dish that was no longer on the menu was specially prepared just for us. It’s clear that guest satisfaction is the highest priority here, and the kindness of the staff is absolutely genuine — everyone we met was truly warm-hearted and caring. The food was consistently a 10/10. Every evening we struggled to choose what to eat because everything on the menu sounded (and was!) amazing. We were genuinely sad to leave after three wonderful nights, but one thing is certain - this was definitely not our last stay at Koukoumi Vegan Boutique Hotel.
The property was a secluded vegan oasis in the craziness of Myknos. If you do not have a car, you can expect to spend most of your time on the resort, other areas of Mykonos are not that accessible. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Couldn't have had a better honeymoon hotel experience anywhere else but at Koukoumi! The reception staff and the restaurant staffs welcomed us with nice drinks and snacks, which felt so good to have after an early-morning flight. Our room was so spacious, nice, clean, thoughtfully prepared and equipped. The pool facility felt like a little resort oasis. The food and drinks created and curated by the restaurant are divine! Vegan fine dining at its peak, I must say! We love the fact that there's a fully vegan buffet available daily, with new selections of food each day. We tried food from both lunch menu and the dinner menu, all were delicious! All members of Koukoumi: from the owner, the reception staffs, the restaurant staffs, the housekeeping staffs; were all friendly and helpful. We felt like everyone was above and beyond with their hospitality and we're grateful for that! The hotel environnement feels like a home away from home, a peaceful social club where everyone can chill and relax without any worry. Overall, we loved everything and definitely would come back whenever we come back to visit Mykonos.
The pool and the room.
They didn't tell me what the cooking class would be making even when I asked the staff member. The cooking class was teaching how to make ramen noodles and not a greek dish. If I knew that we were making ramen noodles I would not have signed up. The cooking teacher was really nice. The gym was very basic.
This hotel exceeded all expectations! My sister has celiac disease, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her dietary needs with care and precision. They answered all my questions before our arrival, which made us feel completely at ease. My sister hadn’t traveled abroad in over 10 years, and thanks to their attentiveness, she felt completely safe and confident with the food options. We were upgraded to an executive suite, which was a lovely surprise. The room was beautiful—filled with natural light and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The food was amazing and the breakfast buffet was absolutely incredible—hands down the best I’ve ever had! The overall atmosphere of the hotel was serene and luxurious. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always eager to help. We each enjoyed a wellness treatment during our stay, and I can honestly say it was the best massage I’ve ever experienced. Everything about our stay was perfect. I can’t recommend Koukoumi highly enough!
Absolutely idilic hotel, fantastic service. The staff were absolutely amazing ensuring that our baby (5 months) were taken care of. Not only the food was incredible but they were able to cater to my partner Gluten intolerance.
Pool was a bit too cold (no heated) and a baby bath would be a nice addition for people travelling with babies.
My husband and I had the most incredible stay at Koukoumi Hotel in Mykonos. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warmth and kindness of the entire team, and it truly became the slice of peace we so desperately needed. A special mention has to go to our friend, Alex, the exceptional yoga instructor. His generosity with his time, wisdom, and warmth was beyond anything we could have hoped for. As I recover from chronic illness, he carefully guided me, ensuring I could support my body in a way that felt gentle and healing. Morning yoga with Alex quickly became the highlight of my day – his presence was a true gift, and I already miss those peaceful sessions in the yoga studio. The restaurant and bar staff went above and beyond, ensuring my dietary needs were met with care and precision. Their attention made us feel welcome and cared for. The chefs – wow! The food was artfully presented and absolutely delicious – I’ve never tasted anything like it. A huge thank you to the massage therapist, whose healing hands and wise words gave me so much to reflect on. She encouraged me to seek joy and release stress, which resonated deeply. The reception staff made sure we had everything we needed, making us feel truly at home. A final shoutout to Mike, who led an amazing sound healing session before we left. It was a journey of sound, scents, and emotions—an unforgettable experience. Koukoumi is a haven, and every moment was pure bliss. We left tearful and extremely grateful.
My daughter and I chose to stay at The Koukoumi Hotel because in addition to being fully vegan we were attracted by the wellness activities offered. Morning yoga and meditation practice sessions in the airy Shala were led by Alex and were excellent - a real highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed treatments in the spa, training sessions in the gym and of course the cuisine - which was creative and original. Overall a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday.
Good food and choice, but you have to purchase water both at meal times and in the room. You only get one free bottle of water per stay per person. The general area and the rooms are kept very clean. The pool area is also clean. The staff are very friendly
Our second visit for our first Wedding Anniversary. We love everything about this vegan hotel and the founder, GM and amazing staff. We’ll be back.
Hotel staff was just great, helping us with whatever we needed during our stay. We have travelled quite a bit around Europe and we can say with confidence that this is amazing value for money. We have got an upgrade of our room free of charge when our flight was cancelled, while the communication with all employees was polite and smooth all the time with no exceptions. We truly enjoyed the hotel and its amenities, cleanliness, spacious rooms, food, cocktails next to the pool, yoga classes we received from them as gifts on top of recommendations what other islands to visit around... You will never go wrong with this hotel, one great 10 for the hotel and its staff - this is an example how tourism is done!
No downsides in this hotel.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Koukoumi for 5 nights a few weeks back now, we were blown away with how perfect the hotel is and it made our entire holiday. The hotel/room - the hotel is immaculately presented with all the amenities needed for a relaxing trip away. It's a fairly small hotel, but for me this was a big plus. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, containing everything you'd need for a few days away. The rooms are also very stylish. The pool area was a great place to relax in the day with plenty of comfortable seats and beds for every guest, great access to the bar and restaurant from the pool. The restaurant/bar - the restaurant was mind-blowing. It was already a huge relief for me knowing all my meals were going to be vegan as finding suitable meals is something I often struggle with when away from home, the level of the food in addition to this was astonishing. Massive range of different, unique meals for lunch and dinner all cooked and presented perfectly. We went for the full board option allowing us 2 courses for lunch and dinner. It was actually exciting planning what to have for each meal. Additionally the breakfast buffet was well stocked and changed slightly each day which was great. The bar was great, plenty of wines available with a few decent beers but the real highlight was the incredible cocktails prepared by the knowledgeable bar staff. We booked in for the cocktail making course on one of the days and I highly recommend this. We were guided through the cocktail making experience to a detailed level by the very friendly Demitris. It was a really fun few hours, resulting in a few cocktails to takeaway and enjoy after. Further to this Demitris continued to give us insights into how he was making cocktails when we sat at the bar during the rest of the stay. Staff - the staff are absolutely fantastic. The hotel management should be really proud of the team they've assembled here. From front of house and room cleaning, to waiters and bar staff, chefs and everything in between the staff could not have done more to make us feel relaxed and welcome. From friendly chats at the dinner table to helpful advice on activities in and outside the hotel it was a pleasure to be in their company. Hotel location - perfect location for us. About 20 mins drive outside of Mykonos with beautiful beaches and smaller towns and wineries on the doorstep, it was exactly right for our trip. I would recommend a hired mode of transport as it's not easy to walk around the area, however it takes next to no time to get around the small island. Overall - 10/10 experience. Will 100 percent be visiting again and couldn't recommend more to any (particularly anyone Vegan). Thank you Shane and Amelia
Everything!
Lunch and dinners were amazing, from the food to the service to the atmosphere.
This hotel is perfection. The team are amazing beautiful people. The food was incredible, the chefs are so talented. The facilities were exceptional and we felt so relaxed as a couple. We can’t wait to come back.
Nothing
Everything was amazing. The attention to detail is spectacular. The staff, the food, the facilities - everything was magnificent. They looked after us so well!
Nothing!
Unbelievable food, service and setting. A 5 star dining experience. Every bite is worthy of a “wow”…. The chef also made me a vegan birthday cake which went down a treat for vegans and non vegans alike. A must visit, especially for those wanting an option away from Mykonos town.
Amazing hotel very clean very friendly highly recommend it
This place is fantastic. The hotel and outdoor area are beautiful, the room was clean and spacious, the food is excellent and the staff is outstanding. We are vegan and the food was imaginative as well as delicious. We enjoyed the cocktails - some of the best. I could not get enough of the Fall Adventure. Everything was wonderful - honestly disappointed we have to leave.
The food was out of this world, incredible, both to me as a gluten intolerant vegan, and to my husband as a non-vegan with no dietary requirements! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room and pool area were beautiful. Such a wonderfully relaxing and luxurious stay.
The hotel and everything about it was wonderful! Just note that if you want to venture outside of the hotel and pool area, there are no full pavements, so be very careful on the roads. It would be easier if you rented a car (which the hotel can arrange for you).
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and stayed 8 nights. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay. The Koumoumi is a boutique hotel with around 14 rooms. When we were here there was a mix of families, couple and friend groups staying. They also allow dogs which was an additional perk. We booked some time in advance and had a good early booking discount. We hired a car for our trip. There is ample parking. Staff are happy to arrange transfers and taxis if you need them. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport and the old town. Also about 20 minutes to the beach clubs. There are beaches within 5 minutes drive from the hotel. There are some small shops and restaurants within 2 minutes walk of the hotel if you need to grab essentials or a coffee. We stayed in room 6 which has its own big tub and patio with hammock. It’s a big room that is next to the pool. If you stay make sure you shut the shutters as the sun shines right through this window in the morning. The room is very clean and decorated perfectly in the minimal Greek style. Tea and coffee amenities are in the room as is a mini fridge that is stocked with water daily. The patio is a good hideaway, particularly if it’s a windy day. The pool area is perfect. It’s clean and has a variety of seating options. On some days we had the pool to ourselves. We opted for full board when we stayed and we have eaten VERY well while we have been here. Breakfast is a combination of buffet and a la carte. You can feed yourself for most of the day if you so wish. Highly recommend the juices as they are made fresh. Lunch and dinner menus are immense. I preferred lunch while my husband preferred dinner. You can get half board options that includes either breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner. Everything is fully vegan so we were free to eat to our hearts’ desire. Over the the 8 nights we are our way through both menus. The drinks menu is in line with usual Mykonos prices. There is a gym here so you can work off some of the additional calories! My husband did yoga one morning (this is held daily) and he enjoyed this. Lastly, but by no means least. The staff have been amazing. They have really looked after us while we have been here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The owner can be seen walking around and she takes time to speak with the guests.
The food was excellent. Expensive but excellent.
The location is not great. On a busy road and no sea view. The swimming pool is quite exposed - no privacy from diners at the restaurant or people checking in.
The food is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
Not enough places to sit/ lie if all guests are staying by the pool
Amazing and friendly people who work here and the best vegan / plantbased food in all of Europe! A must for any vegan wanting to experience a vegan food on a level that is unheard of anywhere else. Really nice rooms with everything you need. Super helpful reception and property management if something needs fixing !
Nothing really! Renting a car or a quad/atv is a really nice addition to be able to experience more of Mykonos.
The food is really good but breakfast was seriously amazing. For vegans it will likely be the most options you've ever had, the mini pastries are so good. The decor of the hotel is amazing especially the rooms (even more so given our free upgrade!). Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating given my partner was pregnant.
Although lunch and dinner were good, it would've been nice to have some more basic lunch options (many of the breakfast buffet options would've also been great at lunch, pies, sandwiches etc). The beach not as close as we hoped, shuttles to and from the beach were crazy expensive (€30 each way). It would be nice if the hotel could organise a daily shuttle too and from the beach (we spoke to some other guests who also felt this too)
We spent a fantastic two weeks at Koukoumi. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, whilst the food and drinks were excellent. They have a nice and refreshing pool, and the spa and gym are both great. We would recommend trying the cooking class to learn something truly unique and finally to get the full experience try the tasting menu, it is delicious!
Lovely eperience. Amazing staff. Tasty food
Had the pleasure of staying at Koukoumi for 10 nights, and what a truly amazing hotel it is. The boutique nature of the hotel ensures tranquility and relaxation, with wonderful staff on hand to support. The rooms are delightful and the bed is one of the comfiest we have slept on. Now to the food… wow! Every meal was at such a high standard, it was like dining in a Michelin star restaurant three times a day. Such a creative menu opens your eyes to combinations/pairings you may never have considered being possible. Honestly some of the best vegan food my wife and I have eaten. The cooking class was also great fun, which was part of the package we booked. One of the real highlights during the stay was Koukoumi’s cocktail menu. Dimitris’ passion and enthusiasm shows that cocktail making is a true craft. The Smoked Geisha was a personal favourite, but the great thing was the willingness to adapt and make a drink that best suits each guest. It led to some great insight and made good fun each evening when trying different cocktails. It never felt as though any question was silly, and to those interested in cocktail making we would certainly recommend spending time with Dimitris to learn more about his craft! Finally, have to mention the yoga sessions with Alexis Adamos, who provides a wealth of wisdom and positivity. The perfect holiday destination. We cannot wait to go back.
This hotel is a vegan dream. I'll give some minor cons at the end but the pros from the experience. 1. The food. We had full board and tried everything from breakfast lunch and dinner. The chef and her team are amazing and it's great to go to breakfast as a vegan be able to get anything. If you go here the food will be the first and last thought. Simply stunning presentation and taste. 2. Location. Having already been to Mykonos I did not care for old town and being outside anomira was all I needed. We never left and it was always quiet. 3. The staff are always so friendly and we feel we get to know them on a personal level 4. The gym is superb and you can easily book activities via reception. Now for some small cons 1. After your complimentary water in the room you then have to purchase as they don't restock your fridge 2. Our room had a wee bit of wear and tear. Toilet seat coming off the seal and the shower not draining well 3. A smell of sweage now and then by the pool nearest the yoga studio Overall minor issues. 100% would stay again. They just need to fix up (at least our room) and it would be perfect. Once again staff were amazing and food out of this world. If you are vegan you have to visit here!
The whole experience from start to finish was nothing short of excellent. The very friendly team gave a wonderful welcome upon arrival, the room we stayed in was extremely comfortable and the restaurant was sensational. This hotel is total paradise, and a must if visiting Mykonos.
A first class experience. From the transfer from the port to the drop off and everything in between. The room was comfortable with a lovely veranda and hot tub, and right by the large and refreshing pool. The staff were exceptional. Friendly and professional and anticipated the needs of the guests. The spa services were welcome too and we can highly recommend the relaxing massage treatment. However, the food was the star! The breakfast was a great start and a huge choice of both savoury, sweet and a la carte. Lunch had the bonus of a vegan fried egg but the fine dining in the evening was superb. The presentation, the flavours and the sheer creativity of the menu is worth the visit alone. Housekeeping staff were always efficient and most rooms were cleaned while guests enjoyed breakfast. Yes it is a little more expensive than other hotels on the island, but as a treat, it is worth it!
The best vegan food we have experienced anywhere! The hotel is pristine- everything is kept in perfect order and shows so much care in the design and attitude of the staff. Fantastic, fun and spacious gym and a lovely yoga pavilion. Had an amazing massage (from Martha) The hotel is inland, but we found that the hotel pool was a lovely place to be. Mykonos town is worth a visit, but geared up for cruise ship visitors, so not somewhere we felt we wanted to go back to. The windmills above the town are attractive.
