Reviewed Jul 7, 2026This is a beautiful place to stay. I had a full week here prior to the Mekong Marathon and it felt like home. The apartment has absolutely everything. Great views of the bustling city, spacious and light filled. The restaurant is exceptional and I loved my morning coffee or dinner while sitting out on the street. The best part was the staff. So generous, friendly and engaging. From the kitchen staff, the wait staff, cleaning staff - all fantastic! I loved my time here and cannot rave enough about how good The Lighthouse is!!

The team spontaneously arranged my floating market tour for the next morning and a cheap bike rental (note: cycling in city traffic is only for experienced riders!). They also perfectly organized my transfer to HCMC with stops in My Tho and Ben Tre. Delicious à la carte breakfast. Would gladly stay again!
The area at the heart of Can Tho is noisy until around 10 pm, after which it becomes quiet!

La chambre était propre, spacieuse et bien décorée. Le personnel m’a aidé à organiser mon départ vers Ho Chi Minh Ville en bus, merci à eux!

Extrêmement propre, literie très confortable, peignoir, chaussons, salle de bains bien équipée. Une bulle de confort au cœur de Can Tho! Et surtout un endroit plein de charme, dans un style colonial, avec meubles et décoration sélectionnés avec goût. Concernant l'emplacement, il est également idéal, très central et parfait pour rayonner, visiter et se régaler de street-food à proximité. Nous avons aussi testé le restaurant qui était très bon, proposant une cuisine vietnamienne et française.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026Das Apartment war sehr sauber, geräumig, gepflegt und das Bett bequem. Gute Schallisolierung. Gute, zentrale Lage. Bistro mit gutem Angebot, jedoch überteuert für das was man dann bekommt.
Es gibt ein Rattenproblem in der Zwischendecke! Wir haben es vor allem in der letzten Nacht extrem gemerkt. Man hört die Ratten über sich in der Decke rumrennen und quieken. Erstens ist der Lärm störend, zweitens macht man sich Sorgen ob sie irgendwie noch ins Zimmer finden. Als wir beim Check-out das Personal drauf hingewiesen haben, hat eine Dame zwar bestürzt gewirkt und „sorry“ gesagt, ein Herr der hinter ihr stand hat jedoch frech gegrinst. Unmöglich. Ausserdem wurde keinerlei Bemühung gezeigt, es irgendwie gut zu machen, mindestens einen Kaffee oder so hätte man offerieren dürfen bei den Preisen des Ganzen. Beim zugehörigen Bistro unten wird immer sofort einkassiert, teils bevor überhaupt was auf dem Tisch steht. Fanden wir sehr befremdlich, zumal wir ja Apartment-Gäste waren. Insgesamt hatten wir den Eindruck, dass es ihnen „zu gut“ geht & sie nicht mehr so auf Service achten müssen wie vielleicht früher noch.

Très agréable de pouvoir boire un verre on dinner dans le restaurant du rez de chaussée. Un emplacement au bord du fleuve qui était ma priorité. J'ai passé un mois au Vietnam et c'est mon hotel préféré!

Le camere sono proprio di fronte al molo da dove partono le barchette che portano i turisti a visitare il Market galleggiante. Buona anche la cena. Perfetto.

Abbiamo partecipato con una loro guida, un ragazzo molto simpatico e disponibile, al tour dei mercati galleggianti ed era ben organizzato. Il ristorante forse un po' caro, ma una garanzia. Davvero soddisfattissima.

Reviewed Dec 3, 2025The apartment is clean and well equipped, so you can do your own cooking if you wish. We chose to eat out mainly at the hotel restaurant which has a large choice of dishes and makes a great Vietnamese coffee! The accommodation is well located for visiting the floating markets at Can Tho as most of the boats leave from nearby. It’s worth having a walk around Can Tho in the afternoon too to see a real authentic Vietnamese market, selling meat, chicken, spices, fruit etc in the open air. Beds are large and comfy and the A/C works well. Only the sofa could have been better as we could feel the metal bars when sitting down. The windows are double glazed but not very soundproof so light sleepers might be wakened around 4-5am when market stalls are setting up in the nearby street.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2025We had the top floor apartment so the noise from the street was limited. Had an awesome view, bed was good, you felt like at home. One had bowls and utensils so we could enjoy regular yogurt and fruits for breakfast. We really needed something from home. Also, there were two sharp knives which made a huge difference in cutting fruits. These small details made the stay wonderful! Thank you to the owners for including these small yet thoughtful things. Can only recommend! Kids stayed on the second floor and didn’t complain about the street noise. Perfect

El apartamento para 3, tenía un sofá cama que no era cómodo, ya que se abría como un libro y se clavaba el hierro, y un poco pequeño de largo.

The accommodation was spotless and well equipped. Amazingly no noise (very little) from the market outside. Staff were helpful and friendly wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if returned to Can Tho

Reviewed May 11, 2025Manager/tour guide Dan went out of his way to make sure tour and bus company pick us up when leaving early mornings was super helpful, restaurants upstairs with French people who came for real French food and setting with air con upstairs is good we even got a bottle of wine 🍷 to sit down, deco in room is super comfy and comfy space with armchairs and tea set, house keeping is thoughtful, we’ve joined the hotel’s private tour!
Right besides downstairs is night market which has lights on till 2/3am but luckily windows are double glazing

Attention si vous prenez l’appartement avec le salon qui donne sur la rivière Vous aurez du bruit à partir de 4h30 du matin. De plus il y a un bruit infernal de la terrasse du restaurant qui se trouve au dessous. Quand les clients tirent les chaises s’est carrément insupportable.

Reviewed Mar 31, 2025De locatie is perfect. Vlakbiij de boten naar de mekong delta, de avondmarkt en diverse eetgelegenheden. Personeel is vriendelijk. Appartement was schoon en bed en douche waren heerlijk.
Wij boekten een kamer met balkon, maar ze hebben alleen appartementen beschikbaar. Persoonlijk heb ik in dit soort steden liever een hotel kamer ( vandaar dat ik dit ook geboekt had, dacht ik). Mocht u op zoek zijn naar een appartement dan is dit een goede locatie voor u. Appartement was wat donker en zou een upgrade kunnen gebruiken. De stad Can Tho viel ons tegen en was niet echt aan ons besteed. Daarintegen was de boottrip die wij boekten naar de mekong Delta een geweldige ervaring. Dus mocht u in de buurt boek de tour: de drijvende markt en de erfenis van de mekong via get your guide. U zult een geweldige dag beleven!!!!

Reviewed Mar 24, 2025Bien situé. Quartier très animé le soir mais fenêtres bien insonorisées. Nous avions loué une petite suite donna t directement sur le quai. Très pratique pour les excursions matinales.

Reviewed Mar 21, 2025The Lighthouse was in a great location, surrounded by markets, boats, cafes and restaurants. But once inside our room it was very quiet and comfortable. A spacious, clean apartment, with air con and a good shower! We were very happy there for two nights. The cafe/ restaurant was very good, and the staff incredibly kind and helpful. Dan organised a floating market tour for us, ( which he accompanied us on as our English speaking guide - v good!) as well as a sunset cruise with a lovely woman. The reception staff, the “doorman”, the waitresses and waiters were all fab! 10 out of 10 for service!

Reviewed Mar 11, 2025Our Deluxe Double room was very comfortable and easy to relax in, large bed, good bathroom, great shower, fridge, air conditioning, good wifi, safe, desk, a wardrobe and 2 arm chairs everything we could have expected. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. Very nice stay.

Reviewed Feb 22, 2025Un appartement par étage tenu impeccablement. Bons oreillers, et matelas. Literie très bien. Belle vue sur rivière. Bon café Vietnamien. 2 soupers lors de notre sejour en terrasse du 2e très bien. Supers apéros au rez de chaussée pour regarder « la vie locale ». Avons beaucoup apprécié l’endroit.
Nous avions réservé un appartement avec balcon, sans balcon. Nous aurions pu changer le lendemain mais avons préféré conserver le nôtre. Ils étaient bien désolés à la réception. Pas de balcons pour les étages 4 et 5.

Reviewed Feb 20, 2025Wunderschönes Apartment, tolles und freundliches Personal, alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt, Hai hat uns zwei tolle Touren organisiert, ganz nach unseren Wünschen. Die Lage ist perfekt und zentral.
Schade war nur, dass wir im 3. Stockwerk keinen direkten Blick auf den Fluss hatten, sondern auf das vorgelagerte Dach, erst ab 4. STOCKWERK kann man direkt auf den Fluss sehen.
