Very clean and comfortable room. Added bonus was the tea and coffee snug. Motorcycle was kept in owners garage safe and secure. Will definitely be staying here again.

Just about everything, everything you needed for your stay was provided. Excellent location for a base to tour the moors.

Only observation l have is the traffic noise, as it was harvest time the heavy traffic started early, it was very hot weather at the time so window's open . But still a great stay..

Location, easy parking, we had a room at the back away from the road so was less noisy.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was quite spacious and there was the added bonus of another communal room which had kitchen facilities, tables and chairs and sofas. Breakfast was simple, but fine and relaxed. It was very good value.

The only problem is the traffic noise.

Really comfy beds. Room quite compact but had everything you needed. Staff so friendly and nothing too much trouble. Great location too.

The welcome from the owners and the staff was very warm - nothing was too much trouble, and having a real old-fashioned motorcycle workshop right there was just perfect!

A faultless stay ... every element of the room was thoughtfully considered, and I appreciated the well- equipped kitchen/snug. Great cafe downstairs with excellent coffee and cake. Good choice for continental breakfast-time and plenty of bike stuff to look at while you are eating. All the staff were delightful and a special shout out to Lucy. Highly recommended.

Everywhere was clean and tidy. Cleaning staff were very good. Breakfast was good. Lovely kitchen clean and tidy. Ironing facilities a bonus. Everything was lovely unfortunately we stayed at the height of the extremely warm weather. Would book again.

The fan in bedroom was useless. We were staying for 5 days and I had to keep everything in my case nowhere to put anything. We were in room 2 and the mattress was very hard and so were pillows. It was exceptionally hot and the only window was the bathroom window to open.

Exceptionally clean. Very good quality fixtures and fittings. Access to a well appointed kitchen. The staff were very friendly and had sorted out a packed breakfast for us, as we had a very early start (one of which was gluten free!) And great value for money!

The people make this place - without exception, a great bunch. The place is quirky, interesting, unique, true to itself yet very easy to spend time at and use as a base. I visit this area only once or twice a year, but I will book in here as long as they will have me...... Nice extras like a flask of drinking water in the room.

I would change the digital lock numbers to be a similar code. I bet they thought of that, but..... I didn't like having to leave at 06:40 without thanking anyone.

Location is central to shops, bars & restaurants, room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide choice of options as much/little as you like.

Easy to park, easy to check in and out. Lovely clean room. Little common use snug with tea and coffee a nice addition. Barista guy at breakfast really helpful and friendly . So good start to my day.

Just personal preference but I would like tea and coffee in the room as I like a tea in bed, But I was 10 feet from the snug so not a complaint just a comment.

What a fabulous place. Communication was excellent. Room spacious clean and comfy. Nice area for coffee tea etc. Coffee shop below. Bike shop across street Safe place to put bikes. We loved it.

Biker themed Cafe. The rooms had a quirky themed decor that I loved. Thought the snug concept was brilliant and used it.A very different slant on "a hotel".

A quaint operation, combining motor bike maintenance with accommodation and cafe. It has been really well done. The rooms are very comnfortable.

We had a problem that the light in our lobby is motion activated and cannot be turned off. If someone goes tot he bathroom the light turns on, waking their partner. We were told this is now a legal requirement

La chambre sur rue est plus bruyante le matin. La nuit il n’y a pas de circulation L’hôtel fournit des bouchons que nous n’avons pas utilisé

Room was clean and bright. The communal area was excellent, plenty of tea/coffee and fresh milk in the fridge. Can't comment on the breakfast as I prefer a full English to a continental.

Forgot to leave toilet paper in the room 1 day, had to buy our own.

The continental breakfast suited me very well, as I can’t cope with a full breakfast these days.

The Common Room or Snug was a great help.

A rather unusual place for a hotel, built about a motocycle shop but very cleverly done. You enter the property through the sidedoor (via keycode), walk along a long corridor, up the metal stairs and then enter the rooms through another door (via keycode). As you enter, a small chalk board marking your name and your room number and that's how you get to your room. We were given a front facing room that overlooks this magnificant church across the street, and all the facilities you'd expect are there. The bed was comfortable and the toilet/shower was clean. The shared kitchen was on the same level as the rooms and it had all the facilities you wanted in a kitchen. The breakfast was a simple continental affair and the freshly made coffee from the coffee shop was fantastic. There is a free parking available next to the hotel.

The internet was rather slow in the room. Even the TV freezes now and again.

A great location to explore some riding around Devon and Cornwall. Off road parking, comfortable beds and rooms were spotlessly clean. There is a great communal space with tea and coffee making and breakfast in the cafe is tasty with excellent coffee. Will definitely be back.

We loved staying at The Velo whilst visiting our grandchildren. The location is excellent in Crediton with no problem parking. The room was clean and we used the snug/communal lounge in the evenings. Thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with a delicious coffee, listening to music on the jukebox. Thank you to all of the staff for making us so welcome, especially Natalie who took the time to tell us about Crediton. This is such a cool, friendly place to stay. We'll definitely be back.

The location was prefect for us. We have stayed there a couple of times before, so we knew what to expect. Staff were lovely at breakfast - helpful, friendly, informative.

I don't think that there was anything that we didn't like. Everything seems to have been thought out well, and provided for. I would heartily recommend a stay to anyone.

No staff on site two number pads for access and a steel staircase to climb to all rooms - cafe closed until breakfast so no use at all for most people and it’s a fair walk to the real centre and food or drink nothing near here - stay up the other end .

Included breakfast was good & fresh, lots of choice for the size of the place.

The room was warm and I could adjust the temperature to my liking. I was warned that it could be noisy because of traffic and church bells, but without transport my earplugs in and I wasn’t affected by noise at all. As a single woman in her 70s I felt quite safe. The lighting was good and the breakfast plentiful and delicious.

Very clean and comfortable. I liked the kitchen and sitting area where we could get a drink or prepare our own food. The continental breakfast was very good.

There was some noise from traffic and church clock, but it didn't bother us too much. Ear plugs were supplied!

Really good facilities and value for money. Breakfast in cafe simple but lovely. Excellent coffee and staff.

Owners have no control over this, but for light sleepers the church bells are really loud and (on a Sunday morning) persistent. The ear plugs were a very thoughtful touch.

Could not make the bedside lamps work.

The bed mattress was too firm for me. Also having no cupboard or chest drawer space means you live out of your suitcase. One family staying there let their dog roam freely, something we personally don't like.

Morning breakfast was missing a few things attention to detail was missing. But felt staff where slightly relax and not to bothered about the small attention to detail. (Only during breakfast) customer service needs improving.

There is a noisy road and opposite a church with loud bell ringing. Saying that, earplugs are provided. Hasn't put us off though as we have stayed before and will again.

Really good communication and easy access. Lovely, warm room. Stayed for two nights whilst visiting family in Crediton. Brilliant breakfast in attached cafe which had a lively, vibrant atmosphere. Very good coffee.

Shower doors didn't close properly, so easy to flood the bathroom door. Lots of road noise, provided ear plugs were appreciated.
