Checked in at 7:30 was asked too come back at 8:30 because wasn’t taking check in’s then the room wasn’t even tended too all day had too be put in another room for the night then next day at 3:00 came back had too move too my room that I book and still wasn’t ready so nightmare was a 4 day stay beds were awful not comfy

Great size room. Very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was very good.

No phones in rooms. Couldn't call room to room (we were part of a group).

My only complaint was the beds were a bit stiff and low to floor. Maybe I’m spoiled with my deep pocket bed I have to climb into. And if I was any shorter I would have needed to lifted into the tub. It was quite high on the sides and I had to try twice to get my leg over the tub. But nothing else was wrong.

Great value for money- much better than expected for the price. Good breakfast with lots of choice of breads and cinnamon buns, juice, fresh fruit, eggs and bacon. Large rooms and quiet despite being close to the main road.

Great Position as we attended the Ponoka Stampede. Big rooms, very comfortable. Great Breakfast and Laundry facilities on site. Plenty of parking. Staff where so helpful in communication before stay.

We were not able to get into the hotel because it was after 10pm. We called and called the after hours # with no answer. We had to go find another hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was extremely spacious with very comfortable beds! Breakfast the next morning was AWESOME!!

The room decor is quite outdated, and for $130/night there could definitely be some renovations completed to reflect the cost!

Everything was exceptionally clean, not just for being an older location, but in general. It was immaculately well kept. The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. Having the fireplace after a long cold (-20) day in the arena was an unexpected bonus! Breakfast was excellent - even providing gluten-free options for toast which is very rare to find! Having a laundromat on-site would make it the perfect spot for longer stays, especially being in-town for equestrian events.

Check-out time is posted as 11:00 am but I had house keeping knock on my door twice between 9am and 10am, even though at the first knock I indicated that I would be departing after 10. The building being older, I found the walls quite thin. Voices and TV noise from the adjoining room was quite loud compared to other properties. An unfortunate miss that there isn't a gym onsite.

Breakfast and coffee was the worst. A sugar fest. Room was dirty and there were no hand towels. No blankets. We were freezing. Website said pool. No pool.

What I liked: Nobody disturbs you, it’s quiet, and overall a good place to stay. What I didn’t like: The TV doesn’t work properly. There’s no YouTube, and when it does play, it only runs for a few minutes before going off.

I wanted to share my experience: Breakfast: I usually leave for work around 5:45 a.m., so I haven’t had the chance to eat. However, I was told I cannot take even a small item like an apple with me, which feels difficult to understand. Bed: Since sleeping here, I have had ongoing itching and some reddish marks on my body. I have been trying different remedies, including powder and palm oil, but the irritation continues. Because of this, I haven’t been able to pick up shifts. Report: I mentioned this to the manager before leaving in the morning. The suggestion was that I might be allergic to the soap, but I don’t believe that is the case since I’ve stayed here before without this problem. This is where I sleep each time I come to work, so I felt it was important to provide feedback.

Everything. Great room,location and staff. Breakfast had hot and cold options as well as several protien options. On site laundry. Will gladly stay here again next time I am in town.

Absolutely nothing

I got to my room and it was dirty wasn’t clean from the last people staying there. I went down to the desk. They told me they would get it cleaned right away. I waited an hour in the room sitting on the chair they never showed. I went back down and they finally switched me rooms because the cleaning staff went home. The staff itself was very unprofessional and argued with each other in front of a bunch of customers. I highly don’t recommend using this facility. also still haven’t received my deposit back onto my credit card.

Being charged $50 for being 20 minutes late checking out !

The jacuzzi tub was good.

They set me up in a room that hadn't been cleaned. I was told that it would be cleaned, as I was heading out and just dropping off my luggage. Upon arriving back later that NIGHT, the room still hadn't been cleaned. When I informed the staff, I was met with a huff as though I was very m7ch inconvenience that person. They moved me to an identical room that, and I quote ' has been clean for days' . Why wasn't I set up in that room to begin with? Upon my checkout day, I left the key in my room and departed. 2 days later I still had not received my security deposit. Upon inquiring, I was told, ' well did you come to the front desk to receive it?' When I replied no, because I wasn't informed that this was the only way in all of God's green earth to receive my security deposit, I was told" well you should just know that..." so now, apparently I have to drive the 5.5 hrs one way to give them my physical card in order to receive my security deposit. In this day and age....with all the technology we have....

Rooms are clean but bedding, drapes and carpet are old and dingy. No in room coffee maker and no ice machine and pool is permanently closed. Very disappointed. Always has been our go to hotel in Ponoka but won’t stay here anymore. Owner needs to push some money towards repairs and updates.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay - husband and wife for family wedding. Large room W/ kitchenette and fireplace. AC worked fine - firm mattress but not a big deal. Very clean and quiet.

We have been staying here for a long time. Never had any issues, front desk has always been more than helpful, rooms clean and quiet. The girl this time was so sweet. Everyone was great. The only complaint I really have is the deposit. Says 150.00. But they charge 250.00. Which is way beyond. I didn’t really appreciate being told that my spurs were too loud and to ‘pull them up or take them off’ from I am assuming the manger who proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away. When I was already trying to be quiet. The sad thing is Saturday morning only one girl working, for the breakfast and everyone yelling about food and check out and she’s doing her best, maybe have more than one employee on? She was struggling and trying to be upbeat. People have no patience and re so rude.

I travel extensively for business and understand challenges of small towns, but this experience was horrific. The service was absolutely awful . Rooms weren’t ready when they say they would be , lost reservations which took hours to fix. They’re better options ,I’d stay away ! I had a knock on my door once I checked in from maintenance, I open the door just slightly as I changing and he proceed to jam an ice cup tray at me saying it needed to be returned . When I said no thank you as I was half dressed he literally threw it at me. If the service was better you may be willing to overlook the nightmare beds .

Was hot, had to rush to check in from an event as there is no night staff. Woke up Sunday morning to fire alarm that never shut off even after I left- tried to get breakfast and front desk lady yelled not now ladies! Because she was frazzled with alarm. Hard beds. I dunno, price was right and location, but not a great stay

This place is actually really nice. we were very surprised how nice and large the rooms were. the Breakfast was great. I will stay here again.

When we arrived we had to go find some towels..had 2 towels for 4 people. Next day we get back to the room..wasn't cleaned and absolutely zero towels. Carpets are stained and crusty. Never again. Save your money and go elsewhere

Clean and quiet hotel with lots of parking

Everything was clean, staff was pleasant. Breakfast was included. There's an elevator.

The rooms are stripped down to absolute basics: only 2 coat hangers, only 2 bath towels and 4 facecloths, no plug in the bathtub so you couldn't take a bath, no coffee maker in the room (fortunately we had brought our own with our own ground coffee), no paper towels, only 1 wastebasket. Beds are very firm. It seemed very noisy as we were on the main floor (ask for an upper floor next time), and we could hear lots of footsteps and very loud talking from the unit either above us or next to us - the walls seemed to be very thin :-(

The building is ñew and the rooms are spacious and airy. Ample breakfasts.

The rooms were a good size, the AC blasted cold air, and everything smelt like bleach and seemed very clean! For an older hotel, we were very pleased!

No coffee maker in room , no shampoo,limited towels ,no phone ,no blow dryer ,staff at front desk was in pyjamas and housecoat at 9 am and in the breakfast room ,breakfast was a disaster had to ask for almost everything , all was empty . I feel this hotel is a big rip off for $125 a nite

Arrived for check in (during scheduled arrival time)front desk did not communicate well with cleaning staff so when we arrived to our room we were asked by staff to leave so they could finish cleaning but front desk had checked us in and given me the keys, carpet was stained and yucky, beds were rock hard, no complimentary bottle of water, three tissues in the box, no hand towels, two bath towels for three people. Despite running the air conditioner the room was so hot that one person literally vomited from the heat. During our stay our room was entered by a staff person while guest was sleeping. Parking was very limited and small spots to park in. Breakfast was bare bones but enough to tide us over till getting to restaurant. Tables were never wiped down after repeated use. Will not stay here again

Well it was ok except that the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. In the morning my husband felt something in his ear and pulled out a black beetle. But overall i will not be back.

Excellent choice to stay in area. Arshdeep in the reception was excellent. Very helpful and accommodating.

Front desk staff went out of her way to accommodate our late check in. Very kind and friendly.

Advertising a pool on site so we booked here for the kids but when we got there we were informed the pool wasn't working. No alternatives offered, no discount offered...just a BB lunt. "Sorry but that's a you problem"... actually, it's a WB problem to falsely advertise pool facilities when there is none.

Staff were dismissive or struggled shoulders like they didn't understand English.

Everything was more then excelent! This was the best experience over the last few years here in Canada! Just a little notes we can adjust to make this place even more better: In the dining area it's better to change plastic utensils to more eco friendly material then plastic! Thank you so much for this wonderful stay, wish we could stay more with you!

Nice motel and very friendly at the front

They need to figure out a new key card system or have overnight reception. Was travelling alone for a wedding and could not only enter the hotel, once I did neither of my cards worked for my room. This is not safe and was awful having to deal with at 2am when all I wanted to do was get to bed and retrieve all my belongings. Do have an emergency number and someone sleeping overnight at the hotel but if your phone was dead you would be absolutely hooped. So many people had this issue apparently. Need to either fix the cards or have overnight reception (reception is closed 10pm-6am). They said to keep the cards away from my phone and it was in my purse all night and my phone was on me. Also this day and age nothing is ever away from phones and they need to get new cards if being near a phone apparently wipes them.
