The Village of Angels

Over all the stay was wonderful. The pool table was in rough shape and not worth playing on. Minor inconvenience. Long walk to anything that was fun. Beach under construction, but not the resort's fault.

Pool table seemed like it was used and abused. Needs new bumpers felt and leveled. Rest of the resort was wonderful.

Die Anlage gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet und die Auswahl ist sehr gut.

Wir hatten während unseres 3-wöchigen Aufenthalts in Bali 5 verschiedene Unterkünfte gebucht, die sich alle im gleichen Preisrahmen bewegten. Darunter war diese mit Abstand die schlechteste. Die Handtücher waren schmutzig, das Bad für den Preis unterdurchschnittlich, es gab keine Vorhänge, die keine Flecken hatten, es gab keine Gläser auf dem Zimmer. Die Anlage ist liebevoll gestaltet aber zum Teil in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten die Unterkunft vor ca 6 Monaten gebucht wegen dem direkten Strandzugang. Leider wird die komplette Bucht gerade umgebaut - dafür können die Hotelbetreiber nichts, es ist ein Projekt der Regierung und es betrifft wirklich jedes Hotel dieser Bucht. Daher gibt es keinen Strandzugang mehr und es fahren von 9 Uhr morgens, bis 17 Uhr Bagger und LKWs, was zu einer erheblichen Lärm- und Schmutzbelästigung führt. Wir haben bei der Buchung das DOPPELTE des Preises bezahlt, der im Moment verlangt wurde. Die komplette Anlage und auch die Restaurants in der Umgebung waren vereinsamt, was einen fast gruseligen Eindruck machte. Die Bauarbeiten sollen noch bis September 2027 weitergehen. Ich verstehe, dass das für die Leute dort eine Katastrophe ist, aber gerade aus diesem Grund hätten wir uns gewünscht, dass man uns etwas mehr entgegenkommt. Nachdem wir gefragt haben ob man uns einen Shuttle zu einem anderen Strand anbieten könnte, hieß es erst mal Nein, sie könnten ja nichts für die Baustelle. Erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen kam man uns dann entgegen.

The hotel itself was beautiful, it had some great looking areas, such as the Buddha area, the Koi pond, and the pools were fairly nice. The rooms were suitable and spacious and had a decent mosquito net. There is a lovely restaurant called Warung B Tok just up the road, 2 minute walk, and is fantastic. And a few other great establishments further on.

Room: No TV, the minibar was empty, and also leaking. The toilet needed about 20 minutes to flush after flushing once. Furniture was dated and dusty. Hotel: Quite expensive based on the area, didn't utilise its space very well with deck chairs/loungers, theres few and are all in the shade. Above the restaurant is dead space and isnt used to its potential (just 1 table and some chairs). We booked the hotel on the basis that they had a private access beach for snorkeling, and this was blocked off and closed, we were informed just 2 days before arrival. Furniture is very outdated around the hotel. Facilities are a bit worn, such as the pool table is damaged, worn, and lop-sided. They list the use of a sauna, which would been nice given the beach was closed off. But they charged 400,000 IDR for 1 hour. Breakfast: Breakfast was okay, a bit avergse and quite basic, the fruit platter didnt seem all too fresh. Other options were limited unless you pay extra. Staff: Didnt see much of the staff other than the receptionist lady who was lovely and polite. And the gardeners. The manager/supervisor was a nice guy, he organised a taxi for us to the port and provided a breakfast for the morning (4x hard-boiled eggs and 2x coisants).

Everything was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and thoughtfully decorated.

The small pool was a little murky, however, the large seaside pool was perfect.

Hotel prezentuje na swojej stronie nieprawdziwe zdjęcia, zdecydowaliśmy się na to miejsce ze względu na bezpośredni dostęp do plaży, niestety ta okazała się całkowicie niedostępna z uwagi na trwające uciążliwe, głośne prace budowlane, obiekt poinformował o nich dopiero po dokonaniu rezerwacji bezzwrotnej , zamieszczając te informacje w sposób mało widoczny wśród innych ogólnych informacji dotyczących pobytu, nie byliśmy jedynymi zaskoczonymi gośćmi; śniadania dość monotonne

Alojamiento con encanto y muchas comodidades, las habitaciones eran enormes, ideales para una familia, y las instalaciones en general estaban cuidadas al detalle. Todos los trabajadores fueron muy amables. Lugar ideal para descansar.

La ubicación es ideal para el relax, y aunque se puede llegar caminando a algunos restaurantes, está alejado de cualquier punto de interés.

Piscine belle, hanno dei pappagalli nelle gabbie e un ottimo servizio. Si può ordinare da mangiare online, te lo portano e mangi dove vuoi. Ci hanno anche dato la colazione da asporto visto che partivamo prima dell’apertura del ristorante. Abbastanza vicino al porto di padangbai, ma lontano da altri servizi.

Non c’era spiaggia. Il mare si è mangiato la spiaggia e quindi stavano facendo i lavori per risistemare tutto e creare il pontile. Purtroppo però questo non ci era stato comunicato

No beach. Instead of the sound of the ocean, there’s the noise of an excavator all day long, as the local council has decided to pave over the long promenade. Why doesn’t the hotel mention this? Other minor issues: - the à la carte breakfasts are dreadfully monotonous; - we only got hot water on the fifth day of our stay; - everything is a bit shabby, including a broken pool table. The area just beyond the fence is dirty and untidy. The staff goes to great lengths to ensure everything is as pleasant, tidy, and well-maintained as possible. The swimming pool, which overlooks the building site, is clean.

The one hour's quiet when the machinery building the boardwalk out the front had a break.. Then it was possible to enjoy the lovely pool overlooking the ocean. Air con was excellent

I wasn't informed the boardwalk was being built right in front of the hotel for my whole stay. It meant due to noise I had to leave the hotel and grounds for most of the day when I'd come to enjoy pool and beach. I emailed about this but no response, no recompense.

El jardín igual a las habitaciones eran muy bonitos estilo Bali con muchos adornos. La piscina es amplia y cuenta con una entrada privada a la playa del hotel. Todo el recinto cuenta con lugares para sentarse tomar el sol o contemplar la naturaleza. Habitaciones amplias con buenas vistas. Las de la primera línea tienen orientación para poder ver el mar. El personal es muy amable. Las habitaciones fueron hechas todos los días. Muy recomendable todo.

Las habitaciones de la planta baja tienen olor a moho.

Excellent stay! We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel has the best beach, everything is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail, and the restaurant serves delicious food. The service was excellent—fast, attentive, and always available whenever we needed assistance. We also loved that guests can enjoy all the facilities and the entire resort area. Highly recommended!

This was a beautiful hotel! Would 100% stay here again. If you’re thinking about staying, you won’t regret it. They have a restaurant and there is a Couple cafes nearby. The private beach was incredible. Crystal clear water and white sand! Just amazing.

There isn’t much nearby apart from a couple cafes but you really don’t need anything else. It was beautiful! No bad word to say about this place.

Compleet verblijf met zwembad aan (klein) strandje. Goede lokatie, meerdere eetgelegenheden op loopafstand. Vervoer via hotel te regelen. Ontbijt was keuze uit aantal menu's. Prima.

Er is een strandje, maar dat was een strook van 20mx2m? Liggen op een bedje doe je boven.

The Balinese lady at reception is friendly

I left my charger in the room and continued traveling. They were very unsupportive and unhelpful finding a solution on how to get the charger to my new hotel, which I offered to pay for. Usually in Bali these things are never an issue, but they didnt make any effor to help me out. I even contacted the owner, telling I was having trouble arranging delivery of the charger, and she bascially ignored me. They keep big parrots in small cages so they cant fly, beds are not so comfy, breakfast super basic.

First, Candidasa has made an effort to clean up the casual rubbish problem. It has public bins and signs and it seems to be working well, at least away from the main road. Classy place that has two areas - by the dining area and by the sea. Easy to move between them. Has lots of common areas and a nice spacious and relaxed feel to it. We stayed in huts by dining which were a bit older and cheaper. Upstairs is best. Both pools were very good. Was one of very few places with an easy access and nice, private beach. New boardwalk may impact this in the future? Room large, comfortable, clean and had a great non slip floor. Had a slightly worn feel to the bathroom, but rest was really nice. Had an overhead fan. Located a short walk to warungs and other shops yet pretty well out of the way from anything busy. No mosquitoes. Good enough standard breakfast. Has a full menu for other meals if required.

No safe. Bed a bit small for tall me. (Beach rooms had larger).

The staff is very professional, kind, smiley and available at any moment. The property is a small gem in front of the sea.

Loved the place thoroughly The single occupancy room was very cute and sweet - perfect for, as the name says it, one person! I extended my stay by 3 more nights because of the lovely service and place all-roundedly They have a variety of food and beverage options, as well as massage and spa options - including a sauna! The staff is very kind and hardworking - special mention to Ba Ayu Would definitely stay here again if I were looking for a relaxing stay with a brilliant view (and many swimming pools!)

Tout est parfait. L’application pour commander à boire ou à manger est une belle découverte. On peut manger où on le désire. La nourriture est très bonne.

The grounds are beautiful, very quiet, with the nice and clean private beach for swimming. The breakfasts and restaurant are great, with many other very nice food places a short walk away. Easy to get to activities in nearby areas such as Ubud or at the Port.

Alles entspricht den Bildern und Beschreibungen. Raum war großzügig, Frühstück ordentlich, Strand klein aber ausreichend. Mitarbeitende zuvorkommend. Essen ist durchwachsen, aber es gibt viele Restaurants in der Straße. Die Ruhe und der Ausblick sind herrlich. Es sind gelegentlich durchaus kleinere Insekten, wie Ameisen, auf dem Boden. In der Hitze riecht es gelegentlich muffig. Aber das ist dem Klima geschuldet und hat nicht weiter gestört. Bettwäsche war guter Qualität, Wäsche ordentlich und kostengünstig gefertigt, Bestellung vom Menu per WA hat problemlos geklappt. Die Badehandtücher sind zwar etwas zerfleddert, aber sauber. Es dürfen keine Grab oder ähnliche Fahrer kommen, aber es war kein Problem, die hauseigene Fahrer für alle Bedürfnisse anzusprechen bzw. andere Taxis zu bestellen.

Es finden demnächst Bauarbeiten am Strand statt, die auf längere Sicht eine riesige Aufwertung versprechen. Aber bereits jetzt hört man den ganzen Tag die Bagger aus der Ferne, und vor 2027 würde ich nicht wieder hin. Der Strand, der wirklich hier das Besondere ist, wird demnächst gar nicht zugänglich sein.

Es ist eine richtig süße Anlage, das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich. Man hat einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer.

Leider halten sie hier Kakadus in viel zu kleinen Käfigen ohne Beschäftigung.

Es war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Das Hotelpersonal war einfach nur lieb und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Frühstück war für uns super , obwohl es eher einfach gehalten war. Man konnte direkt noch optionale Getränke oder Speisen super preiswert dazu bestellen. Was einem direkt auffällt, ist der Zustand der Anlage. Sie ist super schön und wird durch das Personal stets gereinigt. Hier ist man mit der Sauberkeit sehr penibel, was man der Anlage auch ansieht. Die Lage ist fantastisch, wenn man wie wir aus einer Großstadt kommt und dem Stress entkommen möchte. Sie ist etwas abseits der vielbefahrenen Hauptstraße von Manggis entfernt. Bis Candidasa muss man ca. 35-45 Minuten laufen. Leider sind die Gehwege bis dorthin aber sehr ungepflegt. Unsere Unterkunft war super, auch wenn sie etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und Handtücher getauscht. Auch das Wasser für die Nacht und um sich die Zähne zu putzen, wird täglich aufgefüllt. Was uns sehr gut gefallen hatte war die App, Mithilfe derer man sich das Essen, Snacks oder Getränke überall hinbestellen kann. Du bist im Pool und möchtest einen Cocktail haben? Kein Problem. Floating Breakfast wird auch angeboten. Was wir besonders genossen haben, waren die traditionellen Massagen die überaus günstig waren. 90 Minuten für nur 3850000k ist absolut lohnenswert. Für wen ist diese Anlage? Für Leute die den riesigen Resorts, wie sie in Kuta und Nusa Dua zu finden sind, ausweichen wollen. Dort hat man Ruhe und kann dem Alltag entkommen. Ja, der Verkehr ist auch in Manggis vorhanden, aber nur an der Hauptstraße. Der kleine private Strand ist auch sehr schön und gepflegt, aber nur bei Ebbe zu betreten.

Es gibt nichts was mich gestört hat.

Schöne Lage, direkt am Meer mit zwei Pools und gutem Service und Frühstück. Offenes Bad und angenehmer runder Raum mit Balkon. Sehr schöner Garten und gepflegte Anlage. Generell ist, die Anlage etwas älter, aber für Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr zu empfehlen. In der Nähe sind mehrere verschiedene Restaurants.

Der Pool war stark gechlort und baden im Meer weniger einladend.

Camera sporca.inaccettabile. Non c’erano nemmeno tende alle finestre quindi entrava il sole . Quando ho fatto presente questo alla struttura mi hanno chiesto altri soldi. Il direttore non si è fatto vivo , si negava anche a telefono. E non è un comportamento corretto

The accommodation is nicely located at the coast and well designed.

We received 2 hours before our check in a message that they had a double booking (we were already driving to the location). We booked a suite with 2 bedrooms, because we are a family of four. They put us instead in single bedroom suite. They only compensation they offered was a “free extra bed” in the single bedroom suite. And they offered free breakfast, which was already in our booking. They did not want to give any discount or willing to give us a proper upgrade (instead of this downgrade). The first alternative room they offered was dirty and the AC was not working. The second room was better. But still, it felt as a downgrade when suddenly you need to sleep with 4 in a room. The customer service was really poor and also there was only 1 person staff a the location to properly manage it (no bagage support or somebody at the parking area). Furthermore, the restaurant is really overpriced and lacks all taste. I paid 115k for a Nasi Campur which taste wise was an insult to the Balinese cuisine (I know after living 5 years in Indonesia). There are much better alternatives in the area so my advise is not go to this place, which looks nice on the pictures but is one big disappointment.

One of the few places in Bali with direct access to the ocean without plastic! And comfy swimming pool. Also very stylish deco and interior.

In this room the bed was not good; for tonight we have changed the room, a bit more expensive but good bed and full view on the ocean!

Personal sehr nett und auch hilfsbereit. Haben und sehr wohl gefühlt. Zimmer waren gegensatz zu den Fotos eher klein, desshalb haben wir uns dann eine Suite gebucht vor Ort, was kein problem war. Pool gross und sauber und cool das man direkt an einem kleinen eigenen strand war vom Hotel um schwimmen und schnorlech zu gehen. Abends konnte man dann ein Billiard spielen und ein Glas Wein trinken. Zum Essen gab es einen grosse Auswahl und lecker war es auch.

Hotel bruacht wieder einmal eine Renovation, ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen.

Our villa nr1 was not the best place for people like us who need a good night sleep. Curtains that didn't block much light, resp garden lights were on long after 22:00 night peace; lot of noise from surroundings (people, ocean waves) coz its in the middle of the area; no privacy unless the curtains are closed... So if you want peace choose the other side of resort by the pool, or the upper floors. But hay, no biggie! We are in paradise and we loved it.

Es war direkt am Strand. Die Lage war sehr ruhig und man war umgeben von Grün. Das Personal war sehr nett und alles war sauber.

Beim Frühstück gab es sehr wenig Auswahl. Manche Gerichte haben leider nicht so gut Geschmeckt wie in anderen Restaurants

- Les chambres meritent un rafraichissement - les photos ne refletent pas la vestuté des lieux - Petit dej tres mediocre ainsi que le restaurant - Nous avons demandé si nous pouvions avoir un petit dej plus tot car nous partions en excusions tres tot, cela nous a ete refusé. - Les chambres ne sont pas communicantes de l interieur a eviter si l'on voyage avec des enfants. - Une des chambres que nous avons reservé etait tres grandes, 3 pieces + salle de bain +douche a l exterieur, une famille de 2 adultes et un enfant peuvent largement s`y installer mais cela ne nous a pas ete notifié lors de notre reservation. Je leur ai demandé un lit supplementaire a mettre dans cette chambre ( certe sans surplus) mais ils ne nous ont pas annulé la reservation pour la 2eme chambres. Nous avons payé une chambre en plus sans que personne ne l`ai utilisé. - Papier toilette donné au compte goute.

It was a lovely place, staff were nice & helpful. Food was ok. Infinity pool overlooking the ocean was stunning. Air con was icy cool. No safe, but was a quiet enough place not to worry too much.

Although it was right on the ocean looking out towards Nusa Lembogon, it was over 2hrs in a car from Dempesar airport, not under an hour like the website suggested. It's also very isolated from anywhere else & not close to any markets or restaurants, so you were forced to eat at the hotel.

This stay was AMAZING. All of the workers there are so kind, helpfull, with so good energy. I had problems with charger (by my mistake it stopped to work) and in few minutes they solved that problem. I will never forget how amazing and helpful these workers were and I can highly recommend. This Villa of Angels have angels- their staff. Thank you so much, it was blessing to stay there!!!

Beautiful gardens with very comfortable ,clean, and spacious rooms. Loved the round rooms. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. Amazing sunrises !!
