Sokcho Chonpines Beach Hotel

Positive: - It is quite near to the beach area. - There are a plenty of cafes and restaurants in walking distance. - You can walk from the express bus station to it. - The room was clean, neat and had everything you need.

Negative: - Well, it is NOT on the beach. There is a road in front of it, then a forest and then comes the beach. - There is no reception, but 2 buildings A and B. It is not a problem (I had worldwide experience with contactless hotels without any difficulties), but as Korea has astonishingly not everywhere free wifi (Seoul was much worth in my experience as the provinces) and they send you the doorcode appr. 15:00 o'clock at your arrival date... well I had some difficulties... They ask for Kakaotalk or email, then they send you a check-in email, then you get your codes, which you need to type on the door within 10 Minutes (first the door wasn't even reactive..). If you have failed, then you can request an other mail with the codes - that will be active for 1 h. I don't know what happens, if you can't manage that one too... - There are a couple of other hotels/ motels in the same building. They have automated check-in shelters and some even in person receptions. Well, most probably every information is all around written - just in Korean. When the online google translator doesn't work... good luck finding out where to go... - If you where dreaming about swimming in the beautiful sea... Well, the weather was trash and (again everything just in Korean..) the beach seemed to be closed. Later on I saw a beautiful photo f a great white shark posted, so I assume, that was 1 reason.

Good location, very clean.

No utensils, not even a mug or cutlery. Note check in isn't until 4pm with no possibility of early check in. Self check in process not straight forward for foreigners.

Location was useful.

Robot check-in in Korean was frustrating. Email that supplied key code was blocked by a pop-up in Korean that couldn’t be removed. Fortunately a Korean Samaritan stepped in to help, and even he was confused because the room number started with A, but our room was not be found in building A, but in building B. Room itself was not designed as a hotel room, making it difficult to access luggage or hang clothes.

Close proximity to everything in Sokcho.

Self check in that didn’t really work! Absolutely nothing in the room. Yes, a kitchen but no cups, plates, cutlery, cooking utensils. In fact, there was a sign saying, do not cook!! Very weird!

Nearby beach many restaurant can find many food. The room was clean and comfortable. Location as great and staff good help if you want anything.

Sokcho is a great location and this hotel is right on the beach. The beds were comfy. The TVs worked. The bathroom fixtures were nice. We requested rooms next to each other and they put someone right between us. Not sure why, the hotel was pretty empty. But they were close to each other so I appreciate that.

There is nobody at the property to talk to if you’re having a problem. You will have to communicate via your phone/internet. Which became tricky for us at times because we only had one phone with internet capabilities. Getting into our rooms was harder than it needed to be because of this complication. Also our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke but it wasn’t like we could complain to the front desk so we just opened the doors. Also it had those bathrooms where the walls are glass and you can see people inside (but there was privacy blur). I just hate those bathroom walls and thought I should warn others. lol.

Schöne Lage ein paar Schritte vom Strand und 3 Minuten vom Riesenrad. Obwohl die Rezeption "online" ist, wurde mir schnell geholfen und der Check in war unkompliziert.

Es ist kein Geschirr sowie Spühl- und Waschmittel vorhanden.

Nice location asn the rooms are very big and comfortable.

There is no one at reception. There is a small kitchen and a washing machine - which is nice, but there are no pots and skillets or anything for the washing machine.

the location is perfect to access sokcho beach. a laundry machine was helpful.

The location was right at the beach and sokcho ferris wheel. The hotel was clean, my stay with all in all very good. Another huge advantage of this hotel is that it is in walking distance to the bus terminal (direction Seoul) and also to the bus station to Seoraksan National Park!

There is not really a reception. The reception consisted of a screen/computer where you had to self check-in. Luckily for me there was a young man sitting behind a desk when i arrived (who was not always there during my stay) who was nice enough to help me out even though his english was limited.

Almost everything perfect. I love the hotel!

The location was excellent

We are not smokers and our rooms had definitely had smokers in them. I did not like the contactless front lobby although they responsed well to messages.

The location was great. Beachfront. Minutes to ferris wheel Sokcho Eye, 9 minute drive to Abai Village, restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. In unit washer!

The room was too small for 2 adults and one child (3 yo). Felt like a stateroom on a cruise a bit. Only 2 little pillows, and they do not provide extra.

Room was clean and cute. Had a nice view of the Sokcho Eye, though our view of the sea was blocked by trees. Great location for exploring the beach, and nice brew pub/ coffee shops close by.

Person-less check-in did not go smoothly. Apparently, there was a guy sitting behind the desk all along who heard us struggling and didn’t offer to help. Eventually, we asked him to help, and he did.

경포대해수욕장을 바라 볼수 있는 최고의 위치이고, 친절한 사장님과 사모님 덕택으로 멋진 강릉 여행이 되었네요~^^

Das Hotel liegt nur 2 Gehminuten vom Sokcho Strand entfernt- absolut perfekt . Auch zum Express Bus Terminal sind es nur 10 Minuten . Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig. Man darf aber nicht erwarten, Geschirr oder Ähnliches zu finden, die Küche ist nicht ausgestattet, dafür gibt es in dem App. eine Waschmaschine.Das Hotel ist ohne Einschränkung empfehlenswert !

너무좁음 1인 오피스텔 방 호텔로 꾸며놓음 안에 있는 인덕션은 사용 도 못하게 되어있음

체크인은 B동에서 이루어지고, A동 7층 3인실 시티뷰였어요. 어메니티 치약, 칫솔, 샴푸, 린스, 샤워젤, 바디로션, 빗, 샤워캡, 면도기, 솜, 면봉 준비되어 있었어요. 실내 온도는 안에 온도 설정으로 조절 할 수 있어요. 소파, 테이블이 있어서 포장음식 먹기 편하고요. 대체적으로 신축이라서 깔끔하고 깨끗합니다. 수건 인원수대로 준비되어 있고, 다회용이 아닌 슬리퍼가 인원수대로 준비되어 있어서 좋았어요. 현미녹차, 인스턴트커피 인원수별로 있고요. 건물은 3개의 호텔이 오피스텔을 호텔 객실로 사용하는 거라서 프론트가헷갈릴 수 있습니다. 깨끗해서 재방문의사 있습니다~

호텔 느낌보다는 오피스텔(호스텔) 느낌이 강해서 아쉬웠습니다. 입지 등은 굉장히 만족스러웠습니다.

This was a newly built hotel, located right by Sokcho beach. It was also conveniently located by a coffee shop called Bossa Nova, which meant every morning started with a fresh cup of coffee. This complex was divided into two different buildings, each with its own underground parking. Not all the rooms in these complexes appear to be owned by this hotel though. The place was very clean and the location was right at the center of everything. I would definitely stay here again.

깔끔한데 가격대비 별로네요

성수기라 그런건지 청소 상태가 별로 였는데 주변 상권과 가까워서 괜찮았습니다

위치는 진짜 좋은데 ㅠㅡㅠ 생긴지얼마안된냄새가 심해서 머리가 아프고 코가매워서 자기 힘들었어요 그냥 환경호르몬 마시면서 자는느낌 위치빼면 갈이유 1도없음요 재방문은 없음!!

아주 깨끗합니다. 다만 객실을 해변쪽 뷰로 달라고 요청하세요.

급하게 신축이란 말만 보고 급히 예약해서 전망은 크게 상관 없었지만 2층에 옆건물이 보이는 더블룸 치고 비싼편인 듯 해요. 바다전망이라 해도 비슷한 전망 호텔과 비교하더라도 평수도 많이 적고 비싼 편이에요. 다만 신축이라 정말 깨끗하고 해변과 가깝고 주변 편의시설도 많아서 나름 만족했네요. 배달오토바이 소리에 낮잠을 망치기도 했지만 주변에 음식점도 많고 배달도 가능해서 입실부터 퇴실까지 차타고 나간적이 없네요. 많이 좁아서 답답하기도 하지만 필요한건 다 있으니 불편함은 없었어요. 조명이 밝고 화이트톤에 바닥이 카펫이 아니라 더 맘에 들었어요.

속초 해수욕장 바로 앞에 있어 이용했습니다. 오션뷰로 예약했지만 기대하던 뷰는 송림에 가려 안보입니다. 데스크에 말걸기가 불편할 정도로 친절하지 않아요. 패밀리룸으로 했는데 같은 사이즈의 방에 침대만 더 넣은것같아요. 통행하기가 불편할 정도로 좁습니다. 주변에 편의점외에 상가는 없어요. 방금 신축한 오피스텔이라고 생각하면 될 것 같네요. 신축이라 깨끗합니다.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Positives: it is new and in great condition, convenient parking under the hotel, right across the street from Sokcho Beach, several convenience stores within a few minute's walk, numerous restaurants within walking distance (10-20 mins). Negatives: Housekeeping needs improvement. The first day the towels weren't replaced and we had to track down housekeeping. The second day the room was never cleaned even though we had the "please clean room" sign turned on. The bed was advertised as "queen" but it wasn't.
