Meals on-site and off-site were excellent. The ocean view room with the door closed was very quiet.

The distance that Room 355 was from the elevator. It would be nice to know how far rooms are from entry/exits at the time of booking so more informed decisions can be made.

Personally likely the valet, super nice gentleman. Excellent service. Front desk was great too.

I didn’t understand the elevator until a guest explained to me that you have to use your card to get you to whatever floor you’re seeking. Also the bar on the 3rd floor should stay open later than 8pm on a Saturday.

We loved everything at The Seabird Resort! The incredible beauty of the resort itself made our stay so special! The staff were beyond welcoming and the service was excellent!! Everyone made us feel so special while we were there...from the desk service, to the poolside service! The pool area was fantastic! We loved the super thick lounge cushions...so comfy! And we ordered often from the poolside restaurant. We were so happy to always be able to find enough lounges for our family too!! The food and the drinks were amazing! We also loved going down to the beach with our grandkids and having our beach chairs and umbrellas set up by the staff!! Incredible! Our room was just perfect. The bed was super comfortable, and we absolutely loved the huge, beautiful bathroom!!! We were so happy to find a playroom for the kids...we weren't expecting that! We used it everyday, and our grandkids also loved the daily toy they were allowed to choose! We cannot wait to come back to the Seabird!!

Proximity to beach was perfect

The food options were very limited at the restaurant at the hotel. The hotel room had a note on nightstand as well as an opened juice can in the fridge from previous guests. This made the room feel less clean. For the price of the room and description online I was under impression we had ocean front view but it was side view of ocean. This should be emphasized in difference of rooms.

The property was amazing. Etiola checked us in and was so kind and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday and she made sure we felt welcomed. The pool is amazing and the location couldn’t be better.

Wish breakfast options were more affordable / à la carte. Wish the pool was slightly more heated. And it is a bit noisy by the train sometimes; if you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.

We started coming here right when the two sister resorts opened and quickly made it our go-to stay cation destination. The check in staff still has a high-touch, make you feel important vibe. This is greatly appreciated and something we look forward to. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. The space is well-designed still and I was happy to see that the lobby sofa had been replaced. The old one was gorgeous but a shared area sofa can only be clean for so long.

The property has aged in the past few years and it feels a bit less lux. We checked into our poolside room this last visit and the room was borderline disgusting. I am not sure if we were given that room and if it's a room they give anyone with a dog, but it was not okay. Our small dog is pristine as far as dogs go so it was not acceptable at an almost $500/night rate. I reached out and the manger moved us to a room that was more in line with what we expect. The pool service and pool restaurant is closed during Spring despite the pool being quite busy. The pool has started feeling more like a 2-3 star property unfortunately. While I love the Resort Pass concept, I feel it's oversold at the SB. Back in the early days, we really loved the high-touch pool service and the feeling of a high end experience. The staff was always really polished and made us feel special - Shout out to BiBi (now a nurse!)! I know profits are always a priority, but I just wish it didn't feel like the profit priority is at the expense of loyal guests. I think the Seabird should consider offering more guest events on site. A real kids club would be cool. The game room is an effort, but it's pretty sad and tucked away in a windowless room.

The hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated. The family cityscape room was an acceptable size for a family of four/five. The pool area and kids' craft time were fun and thoughtful touches.

King bed was very uncomfortable. The sofa bed was even worse. The bathroom sink/faucet got water all over the vanity, and it seeped onto the floor too. Total mess. Poor construction. The fridge was not large enough nor cold enough. More like a wine cooler than a fridge. The Metrolink running basically right behind this hotel was a bit loud/bothersome.

The food from the hotel's Piper Restaurant was AWFUL!!! Bland, tastless.... not chef-quality, as they claim. More "heat-and-serve" level.

The remote control in room 627 operates both tv's and when the tv in the living room is turned off or a channel is changed, it changes the tv channel in the bedroom.

The Hotel had a beautiful view right on the beach. It was amazing when you first walk in.

The staff is clueless when you ask questions. They NEVER answer the phones, we had to go down to the desk several times to ask questions, which they had to find someone to answer the questions. The hotel is awesome looking on the surface, but as you stay you see it is really pretty basic. There is absolutely nothing to do on this strip of beach, they tell you it is walkable but there is nothing to do! The roof-top adults restaurant was in the sister-hotel and impossible to get seated. Food was okay, but nothing great. It isn't horrible, but to be a spa resort I expected much more. The nearby restaurants are sub-par. If you are staying here and leaving to do other things or you only want to hang out on the beach this may be better but we were bored to death. The elevator is slow as all heck and will drive you insane!!! They charge for parking as well, which was not clear when booking.

My room was 1/4 mile from the elevator. The room’s “phone from 1975” did not function properly. When you attempt to select a service, the display was backwards. There was no option to contact any other option but guest services. The “mini fridge” was not working properly as it did not keep my chilled beverages chill. When I called guest services, they sent a technician who was super kind and they told me it was “functioning properly”. He used a temperature device and said “cold” and I immediately noted that this hotel doesn’t not give “two sh*ts”. Next, at the end of the evening, I try to use the streaming device and the remote is not working. I called front desk again from the backwards phone and they sent up the nice maintenance worker and he said “not working” and he gave me a new remote. I called guest species to order a French press for 8:00 am and I was told. “Oh we don’t offer day before orders…This place-no just no. I left after that. I am not staying in a sub par hotel.

Beautiful view, location was really nice, you could park your vehicle and walk to wherever you needed.

Beds and bedding were not comfortable. Sheets were stiff and noisy. Valet service was slow and we ended up having to go search for our luggage. Valet also told us our vehicle wouldn't fit in their parking garage. When we drove by, we noticed the height restriction at 8'2". We absolutely would've fit but ended up already paying for outdoor parking. Seems like valet should know the height restriction and not assume.

What a fantastic resort stay. Great location, right across from the beach. If you don't like sand in your toes, you can lie on a lounger and view the ocean from the pool area while having food and drink service. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food and drinks at Pipers and the ShelterClub pool bar were excellent. We will definitely visit again.

We enjoyed our stay. Especially the room location (corner-unit) to local eateries and easy beach access. There was a stain on the carpet but everything else was immaculate! We will definitely stay at the SB again!

Areas for improvement. Bed linen had chemical Smell and could not sleep with chemical odor. Had to wrap pillow with my jacket to reduce chemical smell. Also refrigerator needs to vent grom back. When you open refrigerator door it is too hot.

Our room was just perfect! The bed was comfortable, the closet and cabinet space was adequate for the amount of clothes we bought. The food in the dining facilities was innovative and delicious. Our room was in a very quiet area in the hotel, which, by the way, was exceptionally clean. The maid service was exemplary and always done early in the morning, so we did not have to waste time waiting to return to our room after a day out as we did recently in another hotel you book rooms for in Toronto, whose name starts with a "B,"

I stayed at Seabird Resort & Spa in Oceanside, CA and absolutely loved it! The resort and room are beautiful, modern, and comfortable. As a solo traveler, I found it very enjoyable and relaxing. The location is perfect—walkable to great restaurants, bars, and of course the beach. Even though the resort was filled with families, it never felt loud or overwhelming, and I was able to fully enjoy a calm and comfortable stay. One of my favorite parts was the balcony with its gorgeous view of the ocean—such a perfect spot to unwind. I would definitely recommend this resort for both solo travelers and families looking for a comfortable and ocean front beach getaway.

List of complaints about the Seabird on our 54th Wedding Anniversary Celebration (Aug. 14-16) Although the hotel is physically beautiful, I cannot say enough bad things about it. The one word that best describes it is “scam.” 1. Scam by “Angel,” the front desk clerk: Our visit to the Seabird was to celebrate our 54th Wedding Anniversary. We live in Temecula about an hour away and, for several years, I have wanted to go to the Seabird based on seeing it from Oceanside beach and based on advertising etc. So, I decided to book it for our Anniversary several months in advance to make sure we got a nice room. I booked (and paid extra for) a room with “partial ocean view” through Booking.com. (See picture on Booking.com website with--- a view facing the inside courtyard and, hence, a guaranteed “partial ocean view” since the building is “U”-shaped and you can see the ocean from the corner of the room. Instead, Angel put us in an outside facing room on the second floor (241) a long way from the elevator. (We are in our 70s and my wife has mobility issues which is why I booked an “accessible” room and it was very difficult for her to get to this room.) When we finally got there, the room faced a noisy street with zero view except of the street itself, the nearby train station and its adjoining parking lot. Sounds of the trains’ horns were frequent. No part of the ocean was visible from any part of the room. I have pictures. It was clearly one of the dumpiest rooms in the hotel. 2. More Angel scam: When I called the front desk to complain, Angel tried to say that our booking only guaranteed a “balcony view” and that “the problem was the reservation was booked with a third party” (i.e., he totally threw Booking.com under the bus and tried to tell me that I did not book what I clearly did book). When I argued back, insisting that we had booked and paid for a “partial ocean view” and that we could not even see the ocean from our balcony (see more below)

because we were on the second floor, he told me that it was because “the sky was overcast.” When I argued back that “partial view” meant from the room, not just the balcony, he said it only meant from the balcony, and again blamed Booking.com for misleading me. When I continued to argue based on the clear statements and picture from Booking.com, he finally agreed to see if he could find us another room. After going through his computer, he told me that he had a room on the 6th floor but that the view there was really not much different than what we already had. I said I wanted to look at it anyway. So I had to leave my wife in the room (because of her limited mobility), go back downstairs and meet him at the front desk, then up the elevator to the proposed new room (650). Contrary to what Angel had represented, the room was radically better than room 241 and matched the picture in our booking.com reservation exactly. When I said we would like that room instead, he said “OK, go back to the old room and wait and [he] would send a bellman to bring us the new keys and take our bags to the new room.” 3. Still more Angel scam: So I went back to room 241 to rejoin my wife and we waited for a bellman to arrive. And we continued to wait, and wait. Nothing happened. After waiting almost 30 minutes (which at this point was well over an hour from when we first checked in), I called back down to the front desk and again spoke to Angel. He said he would “send someone up right away.” That person arrived about 10 minutes later and escorted us to the new room. Obviously, Angel had completely forgotten his promise to me and did not even initiate the process of sending someone until I called. The main problem with all of this is the level of Angel’s disrespect for us at every step. I have travelled extensively in my career as an attorney and have NEVER encountered the level of disrespect shown to us by Angel) (I have much more to say, but no space to do so)

Hotel was amazing. We had an oceanfront room on the water. We kept our patio door open the entire visit. Patio was great, service was great, hotel was extremely clean, bed was comfortable and we loved the little things like a nice in room steamer, robes and slippers. Highly recommend
