Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Nice new hotel with big rooms and good facilities, which suited us as a group of cyclists. We were able to bring our bikes into our rooms for overnight safety.
Although included in the overnight room charge, the breakfast was mediocre with paper plates and wooden cutlery. I would not recommend booking a room with breakfast included. Carleton Place is a nice town where you can go and get a lovely breakfast and/or coffee etc.

Exercise equipment needs a tune-up. Breakfast area is a little squashed. Another toaster required.

I told the reception desk on leaving my 2 night stay that not having GRAB BARS IN THE SHOWER WAS VERY DANGEROUS FOR SENIORS AND PERSONS OTHERWISE VULNERABLE TO FALLING. THE COST OF INSTALLING IS NEGLIGIBLE BUT THE POTENTIAL FOR INJURY AND MEDICAL AND LAWSSUITS IF THIS OCCURS IS H U G E.

The breakfast was one of the worse we’d ever had. The orange juice was very watered down, the eggs and butter were processed and tasteless. The fan in the room was very loud.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Easy access, although the Entry and exit lane is a bit dodgy if there’s anyone oncoming in either. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The staff were really nice.
A bit more space outside seating wise would’ve been lovely as there were only two seats usually occupied by smokers which fair one everybody’s gotta have a habit but if you wanted to just get out of the room for a few minutes and enjoy the evening air there was nowhere to sit.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Comfortable clean room and hot shower. Location near Hwy 7 but not so close you are impacted by highway noise.
Good breakfast but a disturbing amount of garbage is generated from individually wrapped (in plastic) paper cups, throw away wooden utensils, paper plates, mini creamers and spreads. Bags and bags of waste were filled up each morning I stayed there.

Reviewed May 3, 2026We had a fast check in (yeah!) and the breakfast buffet was very good and well tended. The gym was immaculate and the pool looked like it was also very clean. I'd stay here again and feel this is a very good choice for families.
Very thin walls / floors so we heard a lot of our neighbours, etc. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend trying for a room at the end to cut down on the amount of neighbours you'd have.

Reviewed Mar 21, 2026Nice they put the dog friendly rooms on the first floor, so you can easily take your pup in and out the side entrance, instead of through the lobby each time. I also like that you can park directly in front of your room.
Just the walls are pretty thin compared to other hotels. You can hear every time someone opens and shuts their door, so if your dog reacts to that, it may be disruptive.

Traveled with friends we asked for a late check out we were given one time and the other couple received a later check out time. Then we received a call from the front desk when we did not leave the room at that specific time. That did not sit well with my partner and I for a few minutes.

Small pool (not for adult swimming), extremely poor sound proofing which is a missed opportunity for a new build. Room was on the smaller side with only one office chair, no other seating furniture. Poor soundproofing made it that I could almost make out the exact conversation from our neighbour above (lots of f-bombs), was unable to sleep till past midnight.
