Amsterdam Inn & Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The room was good except no microwave . The restaurant food service was slow even though not busy . Food was overpriced and not great . Breakfast buffet might have been good but most of the chaffing dishes were empty and filled only as we left . Coffee wasn’t plentiful nor quick .

Such a nice clean overnight stop. Not much to do but a great, clean, comfortable overnight stay.

Friendly staff, excellent rooms, would recommend 10/10

No pets. The staff was absolutely amaze! We got in late, just in time to get a hamburger. The restaurant staff were so wonderful, the hotel clerk was great too!

The sheet and blanket has black stain on it, we got a room change, and it happens in the other room too.

Accommodations were excellent. Staff was awesome, friendly and very helpful.

Very happy to stay at another Amsterdam Inn & Suites! The room again was clean, bed comfortable and the addition of a free buffet breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was excellent. Bonus of being close to Potato World museum for some added entertainment. My only complaint would be that there was no conditioner on the shower.

This is the second stay at the Amsterdam Inn, the first time with our dog. It’s an awesome hotel, the staff are all so friendly and pleasant to deal with. We will never stay anywhere else and recommend it to all our friends and family. We’ll be back!!!!

The hotel was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The only downside was the noisy ventilation system in the room and bathroom, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. Overall, I was very satisfied with the stay. However, I was quite disappointed with the restaurant service. The waiting time was extremely long, and many guests left without being served. While the food itself was good, once it was brought to the table, the staff didn’t return to check in.

Great location close to the TransCanada Highway, quiet, comfortable and a great restaurant. The staff and servers were great.

Clean room, nice staff and great restaurant

A great place! Comfy, comfy bed! Would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area!

Large, comfortable and quiet.

Our first time and definitely won’t be our last. Very clean room. Friendly staff. Great restaurant and complementary breakfast. We can’t say enough about this property. We highly recommend it.

Very nice overnight accommodation, close to the highway. Great breakfast included. Would recommend, and stay again.

great place for work travel.

Restaurant on property was good

Check in was quick. Breakfast was good. The staff were very nice

Only complaint is they switched from order and serve breakfast to a poor selection buffet breakfast.

I stayed with a friend for a night, the rooms were clean and nice, the breakfast buffet was very good too. Definitely we recommend it.

Great stay! Wonderful breakfast. Lovely hotel.

Definitely worth a visit - clean quiet and easy to get to off the highway. Will be back.

My first time staying at an Amsterdam Inn - outstanding!! The photos on their listing don’t do this place justice. Very clean and well-appointed, and while the parking lot is pretty full I haven’t heard a soul. Very impressed.

Great place to stay! Staff was very friendly and pleasant. The hotel itself is new and quite lovely inside, plus has baronial chairs and large flower pots outside to sit in and relax. It's in a very quiet area..... you feel like you're out in the country. Food was very good. Easy, free parking and free breakfast were nice perks. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, quiet air conditioning, shower with grab handles and seat great for older guests. Restaurant on property with pleasant atmosphere and good service. Pleasant and helpful staff.

This is an amazing place to stay. The beds are seriously the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever slept in! We stayed here on our way home to NS, and on our return trip to Ottawa. There are two huge signs in the lobby saying “Free Breakfast” and underneath, “Free Grab and Go Breakfast”. Both are great. We ate a light breakfast in the restaurant, and popped over to the area near the front desk to pick up some grab and go for the drive. I did read both sides of the breakfast card to see if it was one OR the other, and it did not. So, my mom and I picked up some juice and Rice Krispie squares. We were very quickly called to the counter and asked to see our cards. I told him I wasn’t aware it was one OR the other, but he more or less embarrassed me in front of other people staying at the hotel. I felt like thief, and told him very nicely it should say “one or the other”. Anyways, the other people staying there said they would have been so embarrassed too. Be aware it’s one or the other.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful and we loved our room. Having an onsite restaurant was also such a bonus. Would love to return and happily recommend this hotel to others.

Always enjoy staying at Amsterdam Inn, especially Florenceville-Bristol. Love the free breakfast yet, miss the A La Carte breakfast, much better than the buffet.

The restaurant was excellent.

Great place to stay

This was a great hotel along the Trans Canada. Looked pretty new. Very clean. Bed was very comfortable as was the room. The bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was very good! I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Toilet felt like it was coming off the wall

Nice hotel with spacious rooms. Parking spots are far too small.

EV fast charger near property

The Amsterdam Inn is always clean, friendly staff, great restaurant will stay there again and again :)

Clean room

A good restaurant, super beds, very quiet, most hospitable!

The staff was wonderful, the beds comfy, and the rooms quiet. The hotel is only 4 years old, and is wonderful. Lots of pluses for this, and right off the highway! Will definitely stay here again!

Clean room, excellent restaurant.

I like being able to eat dinner without going out in the evening. Breakfast was very good too.

Quiet location and right beside Potato World!

Will be happy to return.

Easy and accessible from the highway. Clean and quiet Hotel that has modern amenities. Mini fridge but no coffee machine in room.

All the Staff were friendly and helpful, having an attentive attitude, and making sure that we had all our needs met. Wonderful experience all around.

Great place! Great food! Nice and comfy!

This is a good hotel for a short stop! Clean and comfortable. Really not much to do around. So a good place to stop if you're traveling through NB. If you don't like Edmundston, then this is a good alternative for a night of sleep!

Restaurant connected to the hotel was very good, we called before and they got our order ready for when we arrived. Parking was easy and convenient. Staff crew was friendly.

Clean, comfortable and quiet.

Booked room 6 months in advised and still got stuff on one of the top floors. We arrived early enough to put us on a lower or first floor room but they refused to help in anyway. Many rooms had not been checked in yet and a switch could have been made.

No salt at table in restaurant and no shampoo in room!

Very clean bed was supper comfortable breakfest was perfect and kind staff

My only issue was I booked a walkable dog friendly room 4 months ago and that was also confirmed in a message to me. When we arrived I was told that was never available.

We loved the thoughtful assignment of our room. We were given a main floor room which was perfect as we were travelling with our dog. The room was clean and perfect for our needs:

Clean room and facilitate with exception restaurant attacked.

It was very clean with comfortable beds. Great breakfast included. Staff were great. I highly recommend

The restaurant was on site. Great food and service including the complementary breakfast.

The power went out during the night which resulted in no running water. The hotel could have provided water to at least brush your teeth or wash your hands. They also included a breakfast in the price - with the power outage that consisted of a piece of fruit and a small yogurt- that’s it - not even a drink option. I feel the hotel should be better prepared for this type of situation and provide better service to customers

Lovely hotel! Very new and shows as such. Great vicinity to the highway, making it easy for travellers. Enjoyed wandering around the property and checking out the potato fields and giant chair outside! Breakfast was delicious too!

Great service, excellent free breakfast. Always our go to when we drive to Newfoundland

This is a 10/10 hotel! Easy, free parking. Kind staff and efficient check in. Clean rooms with everything you need. Great breakfast in restaurant with accommodating hours. Friendly service in the restaurant. Quiet hotel. Spacious room. Free coffee in lobby. I was so impressed with the hotel!

Unfortunately the electricity went out in the night and was not on in the morning. The facility did not communicate with us about the status. We were on the fourth floor but managed. There should be a contingency plan for the facility. We are still waiting for an email receipt.

The room was good but no coffee maker in room and breakfast was cold and in short supply

Very modern, spacious, clean. Loved having a restaurant on site for dinner and breakfast.

There were power outage at midnight at the hotel. We were not able use washroom, no electricity, no water, nothing. We were not offered any apology nor even any word from the staff. Eventually we had to walkout from the hotel earlier to go out and do regular works like brush teeth, washrooms etc. I am wondering how do they offer their services during winter if this happens. Hotel should have their own generator to keep minimum supplies of regular things.

We were looking forward to breakfast as we had stayed there a week ago, but alas a power failure meant it was not to be (nor a shower).

The Amsterdam has the best bed and pillows of any of the hotels that I stay at and a good cup of tea is always available. In addition, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the restaurant provides an excellent meal at the end of the day. The buffet for breakfast was very appreciated and delicious and the dining room staff are so amenable and efficient. Stayed there twice this summer and had an excellent experience.

Staff were excellent especially in the restaurant! The food was great we had dinner and breakfast there. Convenient location and room was clean and comfy. Clean shower. Have stsyed there 3 yrs in a row now!

Bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast.

Nothing

Perfect for overnight stay or longer Beds were comfortable, room was clean, nice shower and bathroom amenities. EV charger on the property was also convenient.

Nice clean and updated hotel with a great breakfast included. Not much around the hotel but a great hotel if you’re just travelling through. Bonus. There were 3 working ev car chargers available.

Food in restaurant wonderful.

Very clean!

Very clean comfortable and modern property. Enjoyed the restaurant on site.

Very clean facility. Nice and accommodating staff.

It was vert clean and quiet.Thank you very much.

The place was nice and clean!

Good hotel for the money. Convenient location by the highway and good breakfast buffet options.

We arrived for breakfast at 11 am and they wouldn’t serve us as they were closing breakfast. We were in room 211 and there was running and jumping upstairs till way past 11pm. Then started up again around 8am. Over all a good clean accommodation for that area.

Definitely staying here again. Comfy bed, very clean, amazing service. Free breakfast included was wonderful. Highky recommend this place.

Highly recommend!!!

All enjoyed the stay and the free breakfast.

Restaurant staff seemed disorganized - hostess was not pleasant - long line up and empty tables. But the food was great

Beautiful hotel and great location

This is the second time I have stayed here. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was delicious. It is also conveniently located close to the highway.

Excellent stay!

Nice hotel for the price. And very good complimentary hot buffet breakfast!

Everything was fine. Excellent location, facility, service and restaurant!

This place is our favourite for trips east from Ontario. Friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms.
