The air conditioner did not cool as expected, the room felt warm and uncomfortable. The refrigerator did not cool like it should. The room was not as clean as we expect for the price we are paying, especially the bathroom.

The price is higher than when I stay at a Marriott in the U.S. its not that these rooms are fancy by those standards, so I don't see the benefits for the costs. The location is excellent. Those restaurants were EXCELLENT just a couple weeks ago when I first came. (That is how I found the Marriott hotel here in Mexicali ) this weekend they are closed earlier than advertised, so we had to venture out and find dinner.

I didn’t like how the WiFi was not good at all . Tv didn’t had alot of options . And the shower was not well cleaned it had mold and yellow stains in the corners of the shower . Bathroom walls needs a clean up as well .

When paying the 2nd day for breakfast the terminal did not work so I charged it to my room. The 3rd day the terminal did not work either and charged it to my room. When we got back that afternoon our room was blocked, so I went downstairs and they said I had to pay for both breakfasts, I did, they reprogrammed the keys and went upstairs and the room was still blocked, went to the lobby again and they said I needed to wait for a person to unblocked the room, which they never said before, so I went upstairs to wait for that person. The aisle to our room had many greasy spots on the carpet and carpet seems to have not been vacuumed for 2 weeks. The last day (4th), there was no hot water to take a shower. The place seems to be about 4 years old so everything looks good, what is not good at all is the management.

However, the TV in the room was quite outdated and didn’t support Netflix or other streaming apps, which was disappointing for nighttime entertainment. Breakfast was advertised until 11 AM, but when I arrived at 10:30, it was already closed. Only a limited selection of à la carte items was available for an additional charge

Reviewed Jul 21, 2025The hotel staff was super friendly. However the room had a smell kind of like maybe someone had smoked in the room at some point along with an overall must. Our clothes all had this odor of just to them just from being in the room overnight. The room also just felt damp inside too. The furniture (couches) had stains on them. The counter in the “dining” area had black stains/spots all over it. The bathroom and bedroom were clean enough looking. I would not plan on staying at this hotel again. I’ve stayed at the Fairfield inn down the street and that was much cleaner and better. In addition, I had a do not disturb sign on the door and maid service still came into the room to clean. I do not prefer to have service come into my room when I’m only there a couple nights but they came in anyways.
