Rien à faire pour avoir un petit quelque chose à manger car en revenant d’aller garer votre voiture au Parking le restaurant a fermé !! Rien à grignoter …. Les chambres bien mais au 1 er étage on ouvre les fenêtre sur une paillasse !

Beautifully appointed hotel right in the middle of the old town. The rooms are decorated with that old world charm. Lovely freestanding bath. Bed was very comfortable.

Amazing little hotel- the staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough to help. We were also offered a room upgrade for free. The room itself was outstanding with amazing attention to detail.

Perfecta ubicación y un hotel muy mono.

La habitación 32, bien decorada pero una habitación mínima. Éramos 2, pareja y no cabíamos. No es una habitación doble, más bien diría que es individual. Una habitación de pin y pon. Menos mal q tenía terraza que nos dio un respiro para sacar las maletas y estar uno fuera mientras el otro se vestía dentro.

I believe that the foundation of elegance is thoughtfulness. This hotel has that. The rooms have clear thoughtfulness about what a guest might need. Beyond the needs, excellent interior design, brilliant air conditioning, high quality bedding. It was really wonderful, if only for a night.

La ubicación es fantástica, el personal muy amigable nos dieron recomendaciones de donde comer y que visitar. Nos asistieron en todo momento con todo lo que necesitáramos. Tienen un restaurante maravilloso italiano y todos te atienden con una gran sonrisa. No olvidaremos a Michele, Carmen, Almudena, Manuel y Kathy.

Classy boutique hotel in the centre of the labyrinth which is the old town of Cadiz. Lovely decor, rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant next door serving a la carte breakfast and Spanish/Italian fusion cuisine in the evenings. Food was excellent. All the major attractions are within walking distance and the train/bus station about 25 minutes away by foot.

We stayed for two nights in May as part of a trip around southern Spain and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, very well appointed, and perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it ideal for exploring Cádiz. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was genuinely warm, polite and caring, and they created such a welcoming atmosphere throughout our visit. The restaurant next door is absolutely divine, with fantastic food and equally excellent staff. A special mention also goes to the rooftop terrace, which was pure bliss. You can still hear the gentle buzz of the streets below, which adds to the atmosphere, but it remains peaceful enough to completely relax — I even drifted off in the sun! We would happily stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Excellent boutique hotel and room in a very good location within easy reach of most of the points of interest. Very inventively fashioned with lots of quirky & original touches. It’s on a nice quiet street close to cafes and bars. The staff were brilliant - could not do enough for us, many thanks Carmen & Fernanda! We were provided with a list of Tapas bars & restaurant recommendations that turned out very well. Would definitely return next time we’re in Cadiz.

A bar would be a great addition! Very minor picky point, but as with some other hotels in Andalusia, there is no toilet brush which is very odd!

We were due to stay at this hotel for 3 nights in mid April. Unfortunately due to an issue beyond’s the hotels control we were unable to stay the first night. On returning to the hotel the next day we were met by the manager who couldn’t have been more helpful. We were allocated an upgraded room and complimentary breakfast for the duration of our stay. This is a lovely hotel , perfectly positioned for the old town. Really good staff. Particular mention to Fernanda who was especially kind. The measure of a good business is often how you are treated when things go wrong and in my case they got it right. I would definitely stay at the Boutique Hotel Casa Canovas should I visit Cadiz in the future.

Perfect stay in a renovated mansion centrally located in old town Cadiz, great location. Friendly staff and a really high quality Italian style restaurant at the hotel. The front desk organised a very early morning transfer to Jerez airport for our flight to Madrid.

Great location. Large spacious well equipped room

What a wonderful find this was. The hotel is in an old renovated merchants house in the centre of Cadiz and was a fantastic and charming place for us to stay for our week in Cadiz. It is centrally placed and within walking distance of everywhere in the city centre. We stayed at the top of the hotel with its own flight of stairs and 2 outside sitting areas - one off the bedroom (and with an outside bath) and a further small terrace up a further small flight of stairs. These outside areas gave us birds' eye views of the city and the higgledy piggedly roofs and terraces. The room itself is very pretty with all you could want, as was the bathroom (of special note the lovely tubes of shower gel, and the shampoo and conditioner). The hotel is privately owned and totally individual and the owners were very visible and involved. This brings me to the absolute stars of the hotel - Carmen and Carmen (mother and daughter) and Fernanda who covered reception and could not have been more friendly or helpful and just plain delightful. We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived and they were all determined that we enjoy their city - which we did. It is a great place for pottering, finding hidden gems or just sitting in the sun and people watching. There is a great restaurant next door (owned by the hotel) for breakfast and supper and I have written a separate review of this as well - it was fantastic too. We loved Cadiz and would totally recommend staying at the Casa Canovas to add that something special to your visit.

One of the nicest boutique hotels we’ve stayed in. Very tastefully designed renovated original Cadizian townhouse with a gorgeously spacious patio snd a library. It had a wonderful Italian restaurant

Wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, ist der Weg zum Hotel echt schwer zu finden. Aber dafür liegt es ja auch direkt in der Altstadt

Just a wonderful stay. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, staff is helpful and have many helpful suggestions on where to explore in town. Location is perfect; centrally located and an easy walk from the train station. The restaurant downstairs is not to be missed; amazing!

What an elegant and beautiful hotel. The owner has crafted an oasis with special touches everywhere in both the common areas and the rooms. The service was exceptional. Wish i could have stayed longer.

We only stayed one night and would have liked to stay longer, The room was surprisingly large and there were a number of gifts including a bottle of wine, crisps, oranges, chocolate bars, sweets and tea, as well as a Nespresso machine with plenty of capsules. Very generous selection of bathroom toiletries. The breakfast was exceptional and so was the evening meal. The location could not be better and the San Antonio car park is just a few minutes walk away, it is worth getting the carpark App.

The only thing we did not like much was the black bedroom floor. But it was clean.

The weather the entire time we were in Spain (Oct 1-10, 2025) was phenomenal. It never rained. Quality of food at its' restaurant was above expectations. Quick walk to many small shops and eateries. Enjoyed a nice terrace (but no view).

Our room was very small for us. Absentee owner/concierge/manager after first day. We figured the owner (older male) was flying solo. Fixtures and water pressure were sub-par.

Concierge "Carmen" was very accommodating snd recommended an awesome restaurant that featured fresh local fish. Carmen was very welcoming in helping us to navigate the serpentine streets. It was very difficult driving from the hotel to the location of the parking garage. Great location in the old city.

We needed a hotel at short notice and came across this one close to where we had been staying. The atmosphere was very friendly and homely, the staff very helpful. The room was small but very comfortable with a small patio area which was nice to sit in after a long day travelling to Seville and back. Very nice toiletries for our use in the bathroom. Can recommend.

We loved our private terrace and our room was most comfortable too. So love a decent nights sleep and a power shower! The reception team were very helpful and Carmen recommend some great restaurants which we enjoyed. Parking was very easy and close by. Ideal location for reaching all locations within the city. We had breakfast in the adjoining restaurant and it was always fresh and delicious and the staff were very friendly. It was also very pleasant to come back for a night cap. We would definitely come here again.

The property was beautiful, and the room was quiet and comfortable with great design touches (especially the bathroom).

A perfect 2 night stay at this beautiful, boutique hotel in Cadiz. Our room was gorgeous, loved the decor, especially the headboard! We had a private balcony, which was so nice to sit and relax on after sight seeing. The staff were very helpful with any needs we had. The only thing I would suggest needs some attention, is that there was quite a bit of dust behind the bed. I became aware of this when I dropped something on the floor. On picking the item up, I could see quite a lot of clumps of dust.. I would 100% recommend staying at Hotel Casa Canovas.

accueil tres agreable . Le palais est une splendeur avec une tres belle decoration . Et la suite junior est tres spacieuse . Hotel situe dans le vieux Cadiz . Ideal pour visiter la ville .

La ubicación es céntrica. El personal es cortés, pero en hotel de 4 estrellas esperas que te informen, te asesoren si llegas a una ciudad nueva y te pregunten que tal todo al irte.

La relación calidad precio. La reserva era de una habitación doble con dos camas individuales y sin embargo, la habitación concedida parecia individual porque siendo dos personas, apenas nos podíamos mover. La cama fue matrimonial, pero a nuestro parecer pequeña y eso afectó al descanso. El baño era igualmente pequeño. Teníamos terraza en la habitación pero sin intimidad al compartirla con una terraza comunitaria. El hotel no tiene parking y en Cádiz eso conlleva un extra. Tampoco nos gusto el hecho de tener que dejar las llaves en recepción cada vez que entrábamos y salíamos del hotel. El hotel vende la exclusividad de típica casa gaditana, y efectivamente es así, pero en un hotel de 4 estrellas el espacio también es un lujo y este hotel no lo tiene.

En general está muy bien. El personal de 10, el trato excelente

Por poner alguna pega, al ser un edificio antiguo, no tiene parking, y deberías tener un acuerdo con el parking que está a 100 metros, mi opinión, y también deberían coger las matrículas para evitar posibles sanciones.

El hotel hermoso y adorable! Todos los detalles muy cuidados.
