Quinta da Luz - A Luxury Boutique B&B

De vriendelijkheid en hartelijkheid zijn absoluut een pluspunt, bovenop het prachtige zwembad en de top locatie van het domein.

Als ik iets moet zeggen wat minder is, is het de badkamer. Deze is iets te verouderd ten op zichte van de rest van het domein. Echter deed dit zeker geen afbreuk aan de totaalervaring!

We loved the peace and quiet of the property, and the pool area was really relaxing and luxurious. Lovely rural location but short drive to Silves and then 20-30 minutes to other coastal towns. The bed was also really comfy.

Nothing - it would've been great if there was a fridge in your room, but otherwise all was fabulous!

Mooie locatie als uitvalsbasis voor alle activiteiten in de buurt. Kamer/verblijf in 1 woord luxe en comfort, het ontbreekt je aan niets. Schoon, fijn sanitair, heerlijk bed. Gastvrouw en gastheer erg behulpzaam bij vragen, geïnteresseerd en aandacht voor het individu. Ontbijt goed verzorgd, alle opties zijn aanwezig of worden geregeld.

Alles was zoals we wensten en we hadden geen “messing links”

Mooie accommodatie, mooi gelegen, vlakbij Silves, heerlijk zwembad, ruime slaapkamer, uitgebreid ontbijt, aardige eigenaars.

Het is een "luxury" B&B, qua badkamer bij ons is dit niet het geval, kan wel een opknapbeurt krijgen, zeker het voegwerk in de douchehoek. Ondanks dat het voor "Adults only" geadverteerd staat, waren er wel tienerjongens aanwezig. Dit zou niet zo moeten zijn.

Cette quinta est un havre de paix géré par des hôtes formidables, d'une gentillesse et d'une attention extraordinaires. Merci Kristin et Tobias. Nous espérons de tout coeur revenir ! Le petit dejeuner est exceptionnel.

Es war insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Sehr geschmackvolle Zimmer, gutes Frühstück und eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Der Pool ist toll und für ein Hotel in dieser Größenordnung sehr groß. Auch über die Nespresso Maschine haben wir uns gefreut.

Ontbijt zou iets eerder mogen beginnen dan 9 uur maar ach het is vakantie dus kleinigheid

Quinta da Luz is een heel mooie B&B - guest-house. De kamers zijn mooi en netjes en ruim. Iedere kamer heeft een eigen terrasje. Ontbijt werd met een babbeltje aan tafel geserveerd door Tobias en was ruim voldoende. Zwembad zal zeker in de zomer een aangename verfrissing bieden. Quinta da Luz is heel rustig gelegen op de appelsienen plantage van de Kristin en Tobias. De ligging is zeer goed als uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan Sagres en kust. Wij komen er graag nog terug. Top locatie met zeer lieve gastvrouw en enthousiaste gastheer

Todo. La ubicación, la atención del personal, lo limpio que está, la piscina, los desayunos. El jardín es precioso.

Todo es genial, igual podríamos haber tenido almohadas un poco mejores pero es un alojamiento estupendo, volveremos.

Quinta da Luz is een heerlijke plek om te verblijven. Het is er rustig en mooi gelegen tussen de sinaasappelboomgaarden. De kamer is mooi en het ontbijt goed verzorgd. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en we hebben ons er echt thuis gevoeld. Het is zeker een plek waar we weer terug zouden komen.

Tolle Lage, sehr nette Gastgeber, traumhafter Unterkunft. Man konnte sich von Anfang bis Ende perfekt erholen. Sehr gute Anbindung an viele Orte der Algarve.

From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome—they were warm, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. They were easily the highlight of the experience. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully presented, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. Everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Breakfast each morning was a real treat—delicious, freshly prepared, and the perfect way to start the day. All in all, a fantastic stay in every sense. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and are already looking forward to coming back.

De locatie, mooie omgeving om tot rust te komen. De vogels horen fluiten en de zon zien opkomen. Prachtig!

Wonderful innkeepers and incredible breakfast

Het ontbijt was top: zéér verzorgd en met gebruik van lokale producten! De service was uitstekend: vriendelijk, behulpzaam, de aanwezigheid van een makkelijk te gebruiken honesty-bar + geserveerde cocktails (Aperol, Gin-Tonic, ...) overal in het verblijf.

Mogelijks een kleine frigo in de hotelkamer zou handig zijn om een stukje fruit koel te houden of de nodige medicatie die koel bewaard dient te worden in te kunnen leggen.

We loved visiting Quinta da Luz to celebrate our honeymoon. It was a perfect week of relaxing in the sun and there was nothing that the hosts couldn’t do for us. From the beautiful homemade breakfasts to the garden lunches and evening drinks by the pool, Kristin and Tobias have thought of everything. We will definitely be back with our families.

This B&B was terrific for our needs. It was great to be at a space with no children around, a quiet atmosphere and other guests who were respectful and pleasant. The hosts were fantastic and very kind and helpful especially when I was not feeling well for a couple of days. The pool is terrific, the sun plentiful, and the surrounding area pleasing to the eye (orange groves, hills). The breakfast was plentiful with eggs made-to-order, the ingredients fresh and a very nice variety. The location is great, not too far from Silves town and access to the rest of the Algarve. One of the best meals we had in Portugal was right down the street from Quinta da Luz (Bistro Rainha). Overall it was a lovely stay, I highly recommend it!

The rooms and services have been developed and maintained to a very high standard, which would not be easy in this rural location.

The shower cubicle design means that it's impossible to avoid getting some water over the floor while showering. Not a biggie but a shame that the designer couldn't get it quite right.

Le lieu au calme dans l'arrière pays, les attentions des propriétaires et leurs bons conseils . Chambre confortable et très propre service chaque jour petit déjeuner savoureux bio et varié.

Wow! This is such a gem. We had the best time ever here - the nature, food and ambiance was just perfect! Hope to come back soon! And even better that the place had a driving range to keep my boyfriend occupied ;)

Fantastic hotel-clean, comfortable, modern rooms in a quiet rural setting. Short 10 minute drive to town. The breakfast was incredible-farm fresh and delicious. We cannot say enough positive things about Quinta da Luz…except that our stay was too short.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte dort und wären sehr gerne noch viel länger geblieben. Die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche haben traumhaft frisch geduftet :) Herzlichen Dank für die mega entspannte Zeit bei Euch!!

This bed and breakfast is in a beautiful location and extremely well-maintained. It is a peaceful oasis, but also close to restaurants and the charming town of Silves. The owners are very kind and helpful.

Fantastic place in the Algarve to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The B&B is located in a quiet place. Tobias and Kristin are super hosts and do everything to please the guests. An extensive breakfast and the weekly BBQ are very popular. Rooms are modernly furnished and are cleaned daily. The honesty bar is equiped with cold drinks for a very reasonable fee. Definitely a place to visit.

The owners, Kristin and Tobias are delightful people and so willing to help on all fronts - booking restaurants, taxis etc. We arrived in a rather stressed-out state due to cancelled flights and they couldn’t have made things more welcoming and easy for us. The breakfasts were absolutely outstanding, with homemade granola, local honey, fresh fruits and eggs cooked to perfection. The place is absolutely spotless and the pool area is beautifully maintained . You can opt to have a simple lunch freshly made, and the limoncello spritz is fabulous! We all slept well in the comfy beds and appreciated the night time peace and quiet.

Fantastisch verblijf nabij Silves. Zeer gastvrije eigenaren, prachtige kamers, heerlijk zwembad en een geweldig verzorgd ontbijt. De ideale plek om tot rust te komen en de omgeving te verkennen. Een auto is wel noodzakelijk.

Breakfast, location, service, facilities all first rate. Great place to relax. The outside space (pool & garden) was great.

We had a four night stay here in April 2024. Our stay was perfect! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are fabulous too, lovely white bedding (I hate anything other than that), toiletries in the bathroom, a coffee maker, filtered water refilled daily and more. The room furnishings were lovely too. Kristin, Tobias and their gorgeous dog Tibo were amazing. They served a delicious healthy breakfast daily with some fabulous homemade jams, granola and bread, all made by Kristin. They offered a choice of cooked eggs, omelettes, fried or scrambled as well as croissants, cold meats, cheeses etc etc. Their orange juice was fresh from their own orange trees and delicious. Tobias was always around to spot an empty coffee cup and to refill it, great service. The patio to each room has table and chairs with cushions available in the room. To one side of the property is a delightful swimming pool. The owners played quiet, relaxing music near the pool and offered refreshments from a large fridge with a price list and an honesty box payment. This was a really lovely touch. We didn’t get a lot of time for drinks but would certainly use on a return visit. We thought it was a great idea. The owners had a lovely cleaning lady working for them. She was very friendly and she left our room spotlessly clean each day. We honestly could not fault this place. Kristin and Tobias have made everything just perfect. Such a brilliant stay thanks to them.

Amazing property - the hosts were lovely too. We felt very free and comfortable during our stay. It was a clean property and we had access to mosquito repellent in the room. We also enjoyed the visit to the winery - Quinto dos Santos recommended by the hosts.

Really had a wonderful stay at Quinta Da Luz. Rented a car from Faro and this location was superb. Quiet but within driving distance to so many towns. Travelled all along the Algarve and it never felt like too much of a drive to anywhere. Our hosts Kristin and Tobias were super friendly and their PDF guide which was provided ahead of our arrival gave us some great recommendations. The breakfast was lovely each morning and the pool was perfect in terms of size/temperature. With a small number of guests staying there, it really felt like we had the place to ourselves. The honesty bar was really handy as you could help yourself to drinks/snacks from the fridge and pay a tab at the end of the visit. The wifi was strong. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds super comfy. Highly recommend staying there if a busy party town isn't your vibe.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta da Luz. Kristin and Tobias are great people. Rooms are quite comfortable and we were able to get a good night sleep. The pool is super clean and fresh. Lots of places to relax around the pool. Breakfast is made from local produce (the eggs, jam, cheese, bread, juice, etc.). You definitely need a car if you're considering to stay here. The location is very central to get to western and central Algarve. Kristin has a very well-prepared guide that is super helpful in planning your days.

Such an exceptionally lovely stay at Quinta da Luz. Everything was up to our standard and more. This is a true gem in the South of Portugal. If you’re looking for a relaxing, care-free stay, book this place! The hosts were incredible and prepared us delicious breakfast every single morning. We loved our stay and can’t wait to be back!

Lovely location. owners were lovely and very welcoming. room was very comfortable Breakfast was different but very nice and we really liked the variety that gave us Lots of places to sit and relax in the gardens. Close to a lot of attractions in the area which were easy to visit Will definitely visit again when we return to the Algarve.

only problem was that swimming pool was out of action with work being needed. not the owners fault but disappoint8n*. would have given a 10 out if 10 otherwise

The room was very comfortable and it had a fantastic view over your beautiful garden and valley. The smell of the orange trees is what we will certainly miss. Your breakfasts are fantastic and your homemade food is exactly what you need to start another fine day at the Algarve. We have been driving around in the Algarve quite a lot but were always so happy to 'come home'. Silves is a beautiful little city, great restaurants, very kind people. It is a perfect place to start exploring the Algarve. Thanks again for your good care and warm welcome.

Quinta da Luz is beautiful! The location is perfect, with a short drive to Silves and not too far from the coast. The owners are so helpful and accommodating. We loved the breakfast every day! Rooms have everything you need, are very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was delicious and left us satisfied until dinner! Very friendly couple hosting us who went out if their way to make our stay as enjoyable and easy as possible. . The restaurant bookings were extremely helpful and and we had amazing meals at all the places recommended. Horse riding booking was another bonus and got me brownie points with my wife! The bedrooms were also very comfortable and the small driving range was a nice little bonus to hit a few small white balls.

The backdrop of this boutique hotel was amazing. Very pretty to have breakfast outside with a gorgeous view.

Very calm and beautiful location, kind hosts who are willing to go the extra mile. Breakfast was served on the terrace and really nice with home made jams. Weekly optional bbq with the other guests was a nice touch and not too intrusive. Really delivered on the relaxing, comfortable and informal retreat we were looking for. We will go back!
