City Trip Hostels Amsterdam-Purmerend

Die Kapseln waren sehr gemütlich und boten viel Privatsphäre. Zudem war das Personal sehr freundlich und die Stimmung im Hostel gut. Auch Purmerend hat mir als Städtchen gut gefallen und man war mit dem ÖV einigermassen schnell in Amsterdam.

Die Duschen waren ziemlich eklig, sie haben gestunken und waren nicht wirklich sauber. Auch die Toiletten waren nicht sonderlich sauber. Zudem fehlte mir in den Zimmern noch etwas Infrasturktur wie Ablageflächen oder Haken um das Handtuch aufzuhängen etc. Ich fand aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr angemessen und konnte über die Kritikpunkte hinwegsehen und meinen Aufenthalt geniessen, gerne wieder!

Nothing I Just liked the Location

I stayed at this hostel and unfortunately experienced serious problems with the staff, cleanliness, maintenance and the handling of my reservation. The most serious issue was my confirmed reservation being terminated early by management. I had a confirmed booking until Wednesday, but the hostel subsequently informed me that I could no longer stay for the remainder of my reservation and required me to leave the property. Initially, I was told that there was a maximum-stay policy. However, this restriction was not clearly communicated to me when I made my reservation. Management later referred to additional alleged complaints about my interactions with other guests and staff, but these allegations were never properly explained to me, and I was not given a meaningful opportunity to respond. I have retained the written communication from management confirming that my reservation was originally supposed to continue until Wednesday and that they made the decision to terminate my stay. Staff I also had a very unpleasant experience with a member of staff while I was conducting an important job interview. I politely asked the employee to reduce the noise because I was in the middle of an interview. Instead of responding professionally, the employee became aggressive and essentially told me that if I didn’t like it, I should go somewhere else. I reported the incident to reception and was told it would be passed to management, but I received no meaningful follow-up. Cleanliness and maintenance The cleanliness and condition of the hostel were also very disappointing. During my stay I observed: * Very dirty shared bathrooms. * Hair and visible contamination on bathroom surfaces. * Mattresses with unpleasant smells. * Damaged beds and mattresses. * Generally poor maintenance. * Common seating areas frequently occupied by staff despite the limited seating available to paying guests.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schmutzig, unhygienisch, die Toilette hatte Schimmel und Haare überall. Wir müssten unsere Koffern in sehr kleine Spinnt stecken und die waren sehr weit weg von den Zimmern, also wir durften nicht die Koffern in Zimmer haben. Zusätzlich müssten wir auch noch selber unsere Betten machen, war klar dann dass die Zimmer auch nicht geputzt wurden. Die hatten immer so laute Musik an und noch schlimmer es gab kein Platz zum Essen, für das ganze Hostel gab’s nur 3 Mini Tische, was überhaupt kein Sinn machte.

All the common areas are very dirty, the bathroom smelled like pee and the bathwater accumulated because the water didn’t drain, very gross. Also, the mattress had hair on it. The kitchen is okay but they don’t have any appliances besides a kettle. There are no pots, stove, microwave, or sandwich maker. Very limited.

de prijs kwaliteit verhouding en het concept over het algemeen

het was te heet (geen airco) en er was iemand die de hele nacht heeft lopen spugen en aangezien ik bij de deur sliep heeft dat me nagenoeg de hele nacht wakker gehouden.

Vooral het bed was heerlijk! Fijn ook met eigen nachtlamp en oplaadcontact en privacygordijn en raam voor frisse lucht. Ook de douches zijn heerlijk. Een keukentje met grote koelkast en koffie automaat en entree/lounge met TV. Met mooi weer ook fijn om buiten te kunnen zitten.

In de compacte keuken miste ik wel een kookplaat of magnetron. Zitplekken binnen zijn ook ietwat beperkt.

Toch wel. De eigen ruin the met stop contact. En vrijheid. Bed zelf opmaken met schonen lakens

Globalement c’est assez propre, assez fonctionnel, moderne et bien sécurisé (une clé numérique pour rentrer dans les dortoirs et un casier avec code à 4 chiffres pour les affaires). Bon rapport qualité prix

Je n’ai pas apprécié le fait que les serviettes de bain ne soient pas incluses et que ce ne soit pas marqué. Il est très contraignant de voyager avec sa serviette et les gérants le savent certainement (donc pratiquement pas le choix de la payer en supplément). Au moins une serviette de bain devrait être incluse dans le prix, comme les draps, et si l’on en souhaite une autre, alors un supplément serait cohérent dans ce cas. On sent que cela est une technique pour faire de l’argent au détriment du confort des voyageurs, dommage. À noter également qu’une cafetière est présente mais le café coûte 2€

Las instalaciones estaban muy bien, pero lo que más valoraría sería el trato de los trabajadores, especialmente de Tomás! Siempre atentos de las necesidades de los huéspedes. La localización también está genial, ya que tiene buses justo en la puerta que te llevan a las dos estaciones principales de Amsterdam más cercanas.

La limpieza dejaba mucho que desear, en especial de los aseos, sobre todo los de la primera planta. Las duchas si estaban muy bien y eran cómodas. También añadiría un mal olor general en las zonas comunes, especialmente igual que los baños, en la primera planta.

boites à dormir ... hygiène et réfection du lit complexe, ... pas de place pour pendre son essuie mouillé, On doit stoker nos bagages dans un casier somme à la piscine, non respect des règles pas les jeunes. Ventilateur toute la nuit (acceptable) , mais je ne voudrais pas y aller en saison plus fraîche car il est plus prudent d'ouvrir une fenêtre à 10 dans une salle pas grande, finalement. 2 douches avec raclette vieille et peu visible, eau froide avec pommeau fixe au mur, une seule toilette pour les femmes avec lavabo inclus plutôt qu'à l'extérieur, donc plus d'attente, système de badge à caution, ... un seul canapé de deux-trois places pour toute l'auberge ....pas de TV, ... on s'embête.... tout est calculé pour en tirer un meilleur profit à peu d'investissement.

Lo único malo fue uno del personal un joven flaco alto blanco con gafas muy mal educado cero empatía me trató muy mal me echo del hotel siendo yo una huésped pero su compañera de la mañana muy amable no recuerdo el nombre de la chica, súper bien con ella ,Pero ese chico puff lastima que nosé el nombre sólo espero que la vida se encargue porque lo que me hizo no tiene perdón ni a mi ni al otro huésped que echo mandando a todos a dormir echando a la gente de las instalaciones quitando las hamacas llamando a la policía tratandome como si fuera un delincuente cuando me hospede allí y le pedí de favor a su compañera que a la.media noche tenía mi vuelo y podía dejar mi equipaje a lo.que me dijo que pagará 5€ y tal cual lo hize para que venga a las horas este chico a echarme del lugar diciendome que coja mis cosas y me vaya estuve hospedada en 3 hoteles en esa semana y nadie absolutamente nadie me hizo lo que hizo ese hombre todos fueron súper amables no lo recomiendo para nada por él

het was gewoonweg goor. Alsof het mensen aantrekt die ook gewoonweg vies zijn in hen doen en laten. Sowieso type mensen die ongeïnteresseerd zijn in de regels. Ook al hangen er genoeg briefjes met instructies. Mensen lezen niet en merendeel is alleen maar egocentrisch in hen doen en laten. Er hangen briefjes van niet roken binnen, gebeurt toch. Niet je bagage half uitgepakt laten liggen gebeurt toch dat er mensen vroeg in de ochtend voor je bed hen toilettas uitpakken met zaklamp half je hok in schijnen. Terwijl er ook een instructie staat tussen 23:00-8:00 rust. Nou een wc bezoek snap ik alle begrip voor maar deze gasten kwamen 2 nachten achter elkaar terug om 4:30 en leg dan je spullen klaar als je weggaat. Wij sliepen in 202 en hen in 201. Dus die tassen van hen stonden voor ons hok. Oh heb ik het nog niet over alle vloeren in de wcs op de begane grond en bovenste verdieping en bloedspoor onder het matras zie fotos.

El hostal está bien ubicado, puedes coger el autobús y estar en poco tiempo en Ámsterdam. Además, el personal es agradable y te recomienda sitios. La cama para dos es grande.

Alguna noche pasaba calor, y en la ducha a veces venía olor a cloaca. Y que no se puedan fumar marihuana en la terraza que está al aire libre. Pero en general está bastante bien el alojamiento.

His positive attitude, excellent customer service, and dedication made my stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, and I truly felt at home during my visit. Dat je ALLEEN maar met kaart kan betalen, terwijl contant een wettig betaalmiddel is. Als ik dit van te voren had geweten had ik niet geboekt.

- friendly staff - keys on smartphone - comfortable & sturdy beds - much privacy due to curtains on the beds - it`s okay if you`re just looking for a place to sleep

- not clean - one toilet (1 women/ 1 men) for 45 people - there`s a bus to amsterdam but it takes 30- 40 mins to the central station for 5€ per way (Don`t stay there if you wanna commute to amsterdam! A hostel in the city appears more expensive but you`ll end up cheaper) - steep stairs! - no common area (besides 3 little tables in the aile) - no real kitchen, just smelly fridges & way to little kitchen accesories (cutlerys, plates, no glasses at all ...) - Rooms are too small for so many people -> can`t leave luggage there - lockers on the aisle with way to little space to organise oneselfs - Too many rules (e.g. no eating/drinking in the dorms, no shaving on the toilets ... ) & video surveillance in the aisles... I felt like a teenager on a class trip - showerheads couldn`t be removed from the wall -> no way to shower without washing your hair

The hostel was burning hot and even opening the windows wouldn't help. I would have hoped for an AC or at least a fan in the weather. There were enough shower facilities but the one I used smelled of urine.

La ubicación es demasiado lejado de Amsterdam centro, es como ha media hora del Wallen, el dilema es que no se consigue nada a un buen precio en la ciudad tiene que ser en las afueras esa es una desventaja que tiene Amsterdam

Cheapest hostel in Netherlands, so one should not expect too much. Common spaces (incl. toilets & showers) are cleaned daily. So-called 'pods' (beds) are relatively private, with a curtain and a private light.

What is unacceptable - regardless the price - is that beds aren't clean. No, you do not clean it! Mine had residues of a previous guest. There is plethora of restrictions: not to open windows (in a 18-people room!), not really place to leave your luggage (tiny lockers; mine didn't work) or hang your towel to dry (it's forbidden, too). There is very little common space to stay (and e.g. work on a laptop) given number of guests. No trash sorting (into glass, plastics etc). Few electric sockets given number of guests. Guests are required to leave food in fridges where it gets stolen, though probably by other guests rather than the staff.

Cercano a ríos y a locales comerciales, wifi bueno. Personal agradable, hablaban español. Lugar hermoso para caminar y relajarse.

Ubicación de baños mantuvieron un olor nauseamundo lo que se extiende a los 3 pisos, faltan extractores. No hay cocina, ni horno ni microondas, solo refrigerador y hervidor. El sistema de comunicación con el cliente es bloquear tu lockers ante cualquier suceso, existen otras formas de llegar al cliente y solucionar las cosas con mas respeto. El sistema de cámaras no soluciona un posible hurto o extravío de insumos, lo que genera un ambiente de desconfianza.

We had a great stay at this accommodation. The staff were very friendly, can saluatoee, they are welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. They always responded kindly and made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The room and all areas of the accommodation were also clean and well maintained. The atmosphere and location was nice, closed to bus stop and we really appreciated their excellent service. Thank you for making our trip more enjoyable!

Tuve una experiencia excelente en este hostel y definitivamente volvería. Desde el momento en que llegué me sentí muy cómoda y bienvenida. Mathijs fue increíblemente amable y atento; hablaba español, algo que se agradece muchísimo cuando estás viajando y te hace sentir como en casa <3. La ubicación también me pareció súper práctica: había un bus justo en la puerta que conectaba con Ámsterdam de manera rápida y sencilla, así que moverme fue muy fácil durante toda la estancia. La pasé fenomenal y me llevo un muy lindo recuerdo del lugar. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

Muy poco aunque en las fotos se muestra algo parecido la realidad es que las instalaciones son más sucias y desgastadas, el baño siempre olía mal, la ducha se sentía sucia, el colchón tenía manchas estaba muy sucio. Y en general se sentía sucio el lugar.

Que la ubicación de la cama era en el tercer piso así se hubiera pagado más por ella, algo que hace complejo estar subiendo y bajando con maletas. Por otro lado las instalaciones era muy sucias, los baños el colchón y el lugar en general.

Not clean. Bathrooms and the smell of the smoke/cigarettes were seeping through the dorms. It was also noisy till 3/4am.
