Very clean property. As for the room we stayed in, it’s very outdated. Poor choice of mattress, pillows and sofa. Dinning table is fine and I do like the balcony ocean view. I do wish they had two chairs, instead of 1. Good customer service and absolutely love the beach being walking distance. So many places to eat near by, as well. Nice area and vibes.

Nothing fancy but for what it is it’s a good value. Right on beach plenty of restaurants and stuff around. It’s great for a short stay like 3 nights or something. I would recommend if you’re not too picky. It’s definitely not the Fairmont but it’s right next door.

My stay at this apartment was simple and quaint. I was visiting for the Rauw Alejandro concert and decided to extend my stay. The hosts were attentive, kept in touch and offered complimentary housekeeping since I extended my stay. The housekeepers were wonderful, attentive, kind, and immaculate! The room is overall comfortable, I would recommend additional blanket or comforter options and more patio furniture incase there is a party of two or guests visiting etc. There was some construction noise every day on the apartment next door and at times the airport noise was very loud. It was hard to sleep sometimes after a long night out or just a midday nap. However, I wouldn’t let this deter you from booking if you are looking for a comfortable, relaxing stay in the middle of all the fun activities and hotels in the area.

Clean and comfortable! Great room size! Beautiful views (15th FL ocean view balcony! Nice neighbor (across)! Great food and drinks right downstairs! Ubin (unit manager) is amazing! Lots of communication! Lots of tips and suggestions on where to go and eat! The neighbor is perfect! Beach access right downstairs plus you can walk down to other beaches. Uber service runs perfect in this area and took us all over the greater San Juan area! We felt 100% safe! My first time in Puerto Rico as a Puerto Rican and this was unit was perfect! 10/10

The balcony was the highlight. Having a pool would of made it an excellent option. The cafe was not appealing. Location was great

Had a great time. Building was safe. Liked that many restaurants and bars are within walking distance so no need to worry about DUI. Was clean enough, but could use a really deep clean. The shower curtain was nasty, with visible dirt on it. I soent $3 and replaced. I would also suggest updating the decorations and plates, glasses, silverwear. All was mismatched, dingy and ugly. Seriously, you could charge more if you invested like $1500 to redecorate. Having said all that, i would stay hete again for closeness to beach, restaurants and bars.

The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, there was some hair left in the bathtub

Uben was very helpful and professional, have very detailed instructions for everything, love it, it is a excellent location, plenty restaurants to choose, my best selection was Metropol restaurants, great food and unveiling coffee. Thanks for everything Uben.

Amazing want to stay again

The location of the premises where very good....near all needed places....premise and location very clean and the stuff very appreciable...

Generally quiet and very pleasant.

Price was ok considering the location Of the hotel but, Phone ínside the room did not work, lost power the first night, room was very outdated and there was a big commercial vacuum shop inside the bathroom taking a lot of space and it looked awful and also there were washer and dryer in the room but wasn’t able to use them not sure why we had to use the hotel’s laundry room which was hard to get the tokens because everytime I went to the front desk it was empty they always had a sign of gone for break even after waiting for more than an hour I would go back they they still be gone. Room could definitely be remodel and or updated and last few days there were noises very loud from an adjacent room we couldn’t stay inside watching tv because it was just too loud.

It was a great place

I'll start with the building: poorly maintained, with only one elevator working for two days without any apparent reason. You won't have the pool shown in the photos, and you won't have it anytime soon; I clearly heard someone who seems to be the manager say that they "will try to have it ready by May 2025." The bar simply doesn't work. The cafe:expensive. The gym: at least 5 machines out of service. People walk through the hallways at 4.AM shouting without respecting others' sleep. Upstairs neighbors: excessive noise with their feet, moving furniture, etc.The door to the beach: you'll depend on a doorman because your electronic keys won't work. The staff: attentive, helpful. The room: could easily be 5 stars—excellent view, comfortable, very clean bed linens and towels, excellent communication with the property manager (just a note, in any hotel around the world, guests are usually offered up to 2 hours post-checkout time; you didn't do this for me, using the excuse that the cleaning company was coming, which I assume would be with the punctuality typical of the locals...). With a little help from someone with a bit of good taste, the room could have a 5 stars beautiful ambiance. The price is reasonable; it's hard to find something cheaper in San Juan, especially with the comfort and security offered. I think the city is overrated.

You get what you pay for it. Property is outdated. The communication was okay with the property manager.

My wife and I had a wonderful time during our stay at mare hotel/condo friendly staff all around make you feel comfortable and very helpful good communication mare is right on the beach once you exit out the back pretty convenient supermarket main street eateries the room was clean will definitely come back worth the cost

The location was near shopping, eateries and the beach. There is direct access to the beach and laundry on the premises. Easy check in and reserved parking in a secure parking garage. There is a gym and concierge service as needed.

My stay at Mare 1562 is the best place to stay with comfort, cleanliness, friendliness with such a beautiful view. Accessible to many shops, markets & restaurants. i Love my Island!! See you again soon….

The apartment we stay inside the unit felt moist all the time , no music like they told me in the lobby it was a old builing we spend most of the time out of the unit due to the moisture and the damp mess in the room and the parking garage. Also the advertisement of the outside place was totally off. They need to update the advertisement.

Great access to a beautiful beach. The only thing they need to give you better directions and state that the facility is in the ESJ towers, other than that everything was outstanding.

My mom and I had a tight budget for a short vacation. This property was PERFECT. We had a beautiful view of the water, easy beach access, a cafe in the lobby, a grocery around the corner, and a kitchen.

Overall a great stay!

I down graded my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars because the pool was not in operation. It has been under construction since May of 2023! I think the ad should have mentioned that. We never saw the downstairs restaurant open, the stove is wedged in sideways next to a washer and dryer that are not hooked up, very hard to cook on. There were coin operated washers and dryers several floors down, but who wants to spend vacation in a laundromat. You could only use the beach until 6 PM. It was easy to contact the property manager and he responded to our questions within a short time period. The view from the balcony was very nice, however, you are looking over the tops of other buildings to see the water. We were within walking distance to several restaurants, there was on site free parking for our rental car, and the fitness center was easy to access. I might stay again for a short stay, but not for anything longer than 2 days. The pool was a main reason for choosing this property.

This is an efficiency room - so not much to write about. Clean and comfortable. Quiet and relaxing. "Kinda" view of the ocean (and full view of airport). Beachfront and lots of stores, restaurants, etc nearby - so great for walking. Gym is good enough for most workouts except true powerlifting. Pool under repairs and building in need of lots of maintenance, so that's why 4 stars for property condition - nothing to do with actual unit.

The pictures don't show the true beauty of the apartment. We absolutely loved our stay.

My son was very impressed with the view and the hotel cleanliness.

Place looked like someones grandma died in 1985 and they decided to turn her apt into a tourist rental property. The coolest thing about this apt was the colorful light up showerhead that they probably got off Temu. Make sure you take pictures of the property before settling in or else they might accuse you of stealing their overused beach towels.

Amazing views

The property was very clean and well kept. The photos for this property show a pool, hot tub, two bars, and a computer area. None of those things were functional and we were not notified. The pool and the bars were the selling point for choosing this property and we were extremely disappointed. We had the same towels the entire week and they should have been changed out halfway through the week. The tv in the room is old and has a bad picture and goes in and out. We brought this up with the manager and we’re told to use the remote. Duh!! Still didn’t work. The noise from the airport goes all night long. We felt safe until we witnessed a shooting from our balcony on day 2. Once we complained about this property, the manager found “stains” on towels and bedsheets after we left and charged us. I do not recommend this property if you are expecting a pleasant stay. We were thoroughly disappointed.

I never had to use codes to get into a unit but now that understand it better I’m ok with it. The unit was clean and provided for all our needs.

I loved everything about this place: it was clean and well supplied, it was in a very nice building, the access to the beach through the lobby was so simple, the security was excellent, there were lots of good restaurants to choose from on the main street to the left, the balcony had a beautiful view of the bay. Communicating with the owner/manager was clear and prompt and easy.

Everything and the property owner was very helpful and very easy to speak to
