The dogs at the main house were sweet ( they greet you from behind a fence). On the right side of Porto to continue on to the Douro valley without having to negotiate the city driving at all. We will return.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Tucked away in a quiet location where you wouldn’t expect it. Well laid out with a large and comfortable room which had a large walk in shower. It’s a family run hotel and they were so friendly and helpful. Gave us a great recommendation of where to eat that was within a ten minute walk.
All good, nothing to dislike apart from missing the turn as we didn’t spot the sign when we drove past the first time.

Villarit is family-run business and they make you feel welcomed since the moment you enter the door. Spacious room with terace, delicious breakfast, calm na quiet enviroment and the pool was great bonus. If you think about going to Porto, this hotel should be your go-to accomodation! Thank you Pedro and your family!

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026The gentleman at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early, and it was very kind of them to let us leave our luggage at the property. The accommodation itself was tidy, and the breakfast was okay, although fairly basic. We appreciated the warm welcome and helpful service when we arrived.
The property was quite far from the main attractions—our Uber journey into central Porto felt like a small European road trip of its own! The outlook from our room was mostly concrete, so this isn’t the place to choose for beautiful views. Unfortunately, there was also an extremely strong perfumed smell in our room. We couldn’t identify where it was coming from, although it seemed possibly connected to the air-conditioning. It made both of us very uncomfortable, and the smell stayed on our clothes for the rest of the trip. I had a blocked nose and watery eyes throughout the stay and even slept with a T-shirt covering my nose. Mum and I consequently spent as little time in the room as possible. I had intended to mention it at reception, but we didn’t see the gentleman again until checkout. At that point, he was very busy dealing with a power outage, and as we were already leaving, it felt too late anyway.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026El personal muy amable, es muy familiar. La localización con parking, cerca de Porto pero sin tener que entrar para ir de playas o visitas fuera. Barato y rápido llegar en bolt/uber a Porto para cenar o pasar el día si no quieres aparcar allí... El barrio también tiene bares para tomar algo o cenar al lado. La piscina casi privada... todo calma. El desayuno en la habitación o en la sala exterior, todo muy rico, recién horneado. Gracias 🙏🏽

Adorámos absolutamente tudo: desde a beleza e conforto dos quartos ao espaço exterior incrível e ao pequeno-almoço maravilhoso. Um agradecimento muito especial a toda a equipa pela extrema simpatia, atenção e amabilidade. Na manhã do meu casamento, a vila encheu-se com a maquilhadora, cabeleireiro, fotógrafos e damas de honor, e o alojamento geriu toda a movimentação com um cuidado e uma paciência exemplares. Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Super vriendelijk personeel! Wordt gerund door een familie. Zij wonen in een ander deel van dit grote huis. Heerlijk ontbijt waarbij je de avond ervoor digitaal kan aangeven wat je wil, hoe laat en waar. Porto goed bereikbaar met auto of taxi. Auto goed te parkeren bij verblijf.
Ligt dicht bij autoweg. Deze zie en hoor je vanuit tuin/zwembad wel. Echter daardoor ook makkelijk bereikbaar! Binnen in het verblijf merk je daar overigens niks van.

Het was ons er eerlijk gezegd te rustig. De eigenaar zag je alleen bij het ontbijt. Daarna niet meer gezien. Er stond dat de bar open was tot 21u. Echter nooit iemand achter de bar gezien. Wel een beetje jammer maar ook weer geen grote ramp

A cortina deixa passar alguma luz, o que pode ser difícil para quem é sensível a dormir com luminosidade.

Could have done with better seating in the room and in the attached courtyard, though communal seating was available inside and within a conservatory style annex. They allow smoking in this annex despite it being fully enclosed.

Het adres is slecht aangegeven. Ik reed 2× voorbij de afslag. Dat leek n.l. een onbeduidend paadje en bij het hek van het complex stond ook geen duidelijk bord.

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Sehr sauberes und ordentliches Hotel mit modern eingerichteten Zimmern, die genauso aussehen wie auf den Fotos. Der Empfang war freundlich und der Service jederzeit über WhatsApp erreichbar. Besonders positiv war das individuelle Frühstückskonzept – die Auswahl konnte bequem per Link zusammengestellt werden. Außerdem konnte man frei wählen, ob man am Pool, im Zimmer oder im Außenbereich frühstücken möchte. Auch bei den Frühstückszeiten war das Hotel sehr flexibel. Obwohl das Frühstück normalerweise erst ab 9 Uhr startet, wurde auf Wunsch Kontakt aufgenommen und uns ermöglicht, bereits um 8 Uhr zu frühstücken. Wir hatten einen rundum angenehmen Aufenthalt und nichts zu bemängeln. Service, Sauberkeit und Ausstattung haben unsere Erwartungen vollkommen erfüllt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit und Flexibilität des Teams. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Reviewed May 31, 2026La verdad que íbamos con muy buenas expectativas por las reseñas anteriores de otros huéspedes y por la ubicación, pero mi experiencia fue la siguiente: reservamos la habitación con bañera de hidromasaje para disfrutar de la estancia, pero al poner la bañera, al cabo de 10 minutos, el agua empezó a salir por debajo de la bañera y se llenó la habitación de agua (tenía una fuga por debajo de estar mal sellada). Lo hablamos con recepción y tras secarnos la habitación, aunque seguía estando húmeda, nos dijo que nos devolvería el dinero (pagamos una habitación con bañera de hidromasaje con el suplemento que conlleva, para al final, estar en una habitación normal), pero no nos hizo ingreso alguno. Con lo cual, fue decepcionante para ese día en pareja.

Reviewed May 30, 2026Hôtel familial très cosy. Pedro nous a accueilli très chaleureusement et est à l'écoute de ses hôtes. Le fait qui parle un peu français est fort appréciable. Les petits déjeuners fait maison sont copieux et savoureux. La chambre est décorée avec goût et le jacuzzi est un avantage appréciable. La véranda et la piscine sont très belles. Nous espérons te revoir très bientôt Pedro ! Sonia et William.
La terrasse de la chambre pourrait être aménagée avec un peu de décorations et verdure.
